My wife and I are having issues with our watches. We can answer the phone but when the watch is on we can hear the person on the other end but they can't hear us. During this time if we shut off the watch the phone acts normal. But shutting off Bluetooth doesn't have any effect. If the watch is on and we try to make a call the phone just hangs up or it will hang up in the middle of a call. Again once we shut off the watch the phone acts fine. This is an intermittent problem but it is a none starter and I want to return them both. I have reset both watches and both phones I have go through all the troubleshooting with both Samsung and Verizon but the problem remains. Both Samsung and Verizon say the other is at fault I just want things to work
Here is the rub I have a watch 5 pro and she has a watch 4. We both have the same phones though, S22 Ultra 512gb.
Search has failed me.
My wife and me both have a Samsung S22 Ultra and she has the watch5 and I have the watch4. Neither of us are having this issue. Are they bluetooth or lte watches?

I have a Note 5 and a Samsung Gear S2 Classic. The bluetooth connection between them, at times, is very intermittent. Sometimes, the connection stays rock solid for hours.
Sometimes, it disconnects, I reconnect using the Gear app, and it disconnects again as soon as I put the phone to sleep. I'll cycle through this four or five times, then it finally stays connected. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason, since it has occasionally disconnected with the phone awake and the Gear app on screen. Oh, and it isn't a range problem unless 3 feet is too far between them.
Samsung support walked me through a factory reset of the watch and uninstall/reinstall of the gear app, but it didn't resolve the problem...trying to find enough time to once again be online with them.
Prior to the Gear S2, I had a Pebble Time, which never lost connection.
Android version 5.1.1
Gear S2 version R732XXU2AOJ3
Hi,
have you found any solution to your problem yet? I encounter exactly the same one with a Honor 7.
I got both my phone and watch one week ago and connexion is most often lost as soon as the smartphone goes asleep. This makes my gear S2 classic absolutly unuseable for notifications and connected functions (which is the main reason I bought the watch for, I would have bought a normal watch if I just needed to get the time :crying.
For information, my honor is based on a Lollipop 5.0.2 OS.
Thanks for your help.
I can tell you that I have the Gear S2 and Note 5 and there is no issue at all with mine, so it is not a compatibility thing at all. There may be some issue with your gear s2 or note 5
I have a Gear s2 4g AT&T model number SM-R730A. I have it running in stand alone mode teathered to my BH701 bluetooth headset. My phone is not fast enough to run the Samsung software. The watch overheats in less than 5 minutes when making a phone call. It will vibrate, say phone performance may be slowed, then it switches to airplane mode and drops the call. Do I need to factory reset? If so how, and will this cause the phone to lock until connected to a phone capable of running the software? I have 4 days to send this phone back and need to find a solution, or decide if I want this watch or not.
I'm having a similar issue with the same watch, however I don't have a bluetooth device connected at all. 5 minutes or so of talking and it goes into cool down mode. As soon as it does, the call drops just like yours. This seems to only happen in standalone mode when I take it out for a walk and I am using the phone in 4G during a conversation.
Thanks for taking a look. I have an S21, Galaxy Watch 4 (bought directly from Samsung) on A Sprint account with T-Mobile sim in the phone. I went to the sprint/tmo store and they tried everything to get the watch linked. They even rolled me back to a sprint sim and tried. They seemed assured that the watch LTE was working but just would not link. The watch was reset. It still just says searching for the network in the pull down page. Has anyone else seen this issue? I have to determine if I am sending this back or not.
Thanks,
Zar
Had the same issue with my sprint note 20 ultra 5g and my watch 4 classic lte. My note is also running a T-Mobile Sim which I initially thought was the problem. When I received the pre-order watch 4 and tried to activate it nothing would work. Paired and reset the watch and phone. Nothing worked so I called sprint. They said that i would need to return the watch to best buy and get another. I decided to wait a few days and see if the IMEI number would pickup and sure enough it did through the Samsung wearable app without the need for CS. I wonder if T-Mobile just has not received the latest updates from Samsung about recently produced devices and their IMEI numbers (just a guess. Maybe I am wrong). This happened to me before when I has bought the first Sony Ericson phone that came with BT. Give it a few days and try again when on a strong T-Mobile signal.
Unfortunatly, that was not the case. I just heard today that they are having issues activating Apple and Samsung watches. I bought a watch directly from Sprint and they still could not get it working. The store has a ticket open with sprint and another with samsung to see if they can get it wokring but so far, 2 watches are not working.
Just got the call from Sprint/Tmo. They give up, even on the watch that they sold me. They are unable to activate the watch on my account. This was almost 10 hours in the store and another 5 hours working with Samsung to get it tested and then agree to take the one I bought on Samsung.com back without a charge. My options are now to buy one that has no LTE or keep the one from Sprint and hope that they will one day be able to get it working. Anyone got a good Sprint store near them in So Cal that might have better techs?
For any one still searching, Verizon and LTE problems on Wacth 4 are huge. I bought my watch new and as of Nov-Dec 2022 this issue is quite bad. 3 times the watch was sent to Samsung itself for repair. They replace the LTE chip the first time, and the main board the second time (who knows if they really did it ! ). 3rd time they tried to fix, and then I requested a full refund. They me back the original retail price. However, it was 2 months of daily agony talking to Verizon and talking to Samsung, sending the watch multiple times etc.
There is a large thread on Verizon forum on the LTE activation problems. The Samsung Watch 4 Classic is having these LTE problems across the spectrum.....it is a lottery depending what works and what doesn't.
Interestingly, I went back to Watch 3 and it did everything instantly on my phone. Go figure !
Ever since the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra came to me about two months ago, I have had some problems with it non-stop. Some of the most common problems are network loss, that is, the cell phone shows that it has a full 4G / 5G signal, but in reality I have neither the internet nor anyone can call me. This occurs at least 2-3 times a day and I have to turn the airplane mode on and off to make the cell phone work normally again. Furthermore, sometimes it happens to me that I make a call but I do not hear the interlocutor nor does he hear me. The solution to this problem is to reset the phone. In the beginning, I had problems with unlocking, that is, the cell phone knew how to "freeze" for a minute, after which it would inform me that the UI had crashed, but now it has been corrected. Furthermore, it sometimes happens that some animations start to freeze or freeze briefly. I can’t believe I have such problems on such an expensive mobile device. Something like that hasn't happened to me on any Chinese mobile phones that are called "problematic", and now with Samsung it has become everyday. What should I do?
Feel your pain mines like old touchwiz days freezing , glitches, typing sometimes slow to keep up random stuff worst samsung ever signal very erratic 1 bar most of the time yet can put same sim in another phone and have full sig bars , can't wait to ofload it tbh
Have you got the latest, April, updates? Assuming they are available for your region. Working fine here with those installed.

I thought it only happened to me but I see that it is not, I have spoken with samsung and they have seen my system logs.
They have told me to take the smartphone to an official technician because my s22 ultra has a problem... With the signal?
Is anyone having issues with calls lately? I have 2 S22 Ultras (Exynos) and they both do the same thing. When you are in the middle of a call, whether it is 2 or 3 min in, or 10 min, all of the sudden you dont hear anything anymore but the call is still there. If you hung up and call again, the call doesn't even connect. I literally have to put the phone on Airplane mode, and take it off to reconnect again in order for calls to work again. Both phones are on VDA software.
I had this issue on my snapdragon U1. Apparently my sim card was the culprit. Did you try changing that?

Most probably issue with the network or the sim card. Try getting a new sim card from the provider first
I havent because its happening to both phones, not just one. I'll try giving the provider a call. Thanks.
I have the same problem. I changed the sim card and the problem is still there.
