Is anyone having issues with calls lately? I have 2 S22 Ultras (Exynos) and they both do the same thing. When you are in the middle of a call, whether it is 2 or 3 min in, or 10 min, all of the sudden you dont hear anything anymore but the call is still there. If you hung up and call again, the call doesn't even connect. I literally have to put the phone on Airplane mode, and take it off to reconnect again in order for calls to work again. Both phones are on VDA software.
I had this issue on my snapdragon U1. Apparently my sim card was the culprit. Did you try changing that?

Most probably issue with the network or the sim card. Try getting a new sim card from the provider first
I havent because its happening to both phones, not just one. I'll try giving the provider a call. Thanks.
I have the same problem. I changed the sim card and the problem is still there.

I thought it was me because I was driving or at a bad place in my home but I was wrong. My edge drops calls almost exactly at the 30-40 minute mark in my phone calls. It has happened all week but it was really noticable when it dropped and I looked at the time during one conversation. Anybody have this happen to them? I was told to replace it at a store. And we all know how plentiful the phones are… .:/
I recently had this problem occur again. This is after having a new phone. I called t-mo tech support and they said that the facebook messenger app has been causing a lot of problems with the call connectivity of the phone. I just uninstalled the app and am waiting to make a long phone call to see if this was the true culprit.
sent from the Edge
I think its just T-Mobile. My calls disconnect all the time. And my phone says no network connection a lot. (Even before I got the Edge) I think when the network connection drops, so does the call. This was even worse for me on the Sprint network though so I just live with it now that I'm with T-Mobile.
Galaxy Note Edge- phone call dead
My problem is from time to time phone call will be dead like no sound at all on either side even though there is network signal and the phone is showing call duration. I have to restart the phone in order to make phone call then its fine for unspecified amount of time then it happens again. Had my Note Edge for 3 weeks now and its pain in the neck. BTW I'm from Australia.
Hello,
I am having an issue with 2 Galaxy S8+ (my brother and I), during calls randomly the other side will not hear me, it can happens after 5min or 30min, I can still hear him but he will not hear me and I have to hang up and re-call again.
During this happens, I noticed a message showing "Call retrieved " message, I'm not sure if I can disable it and why it is showing?
It is not network issue, as the coverage is really well and the signal doesn't drop, also this issue is first time I see and it didn't happen with other phones.
My phone model is the S8+ dual sim International Exynos.
This happened very often, when mobile signal is weak the phone will stuck in HDPSA (H/H+) with no internet and finally lose its entire signal, even later moved to a better signal area. I have missed a lot phone calls / messages when this happens, have 3 different brand new Note 20 ultra replaced by warranty all have this problem. Can confirm this is not network or SIM card related as when swap the SIM back to Note 10 plus it is just working fine as it should be (3 days while waiting for replacement using the same SIM living in the same area). Put the phone into flight mode and turn it back can solve the problem however the difficult thing is you won't know when this will happen and for the price tag, it seems it should be this kind of problem with it.
This issue seems also with S20 release too, for years the issue is still there, anyone have the same issue or can help?

Hi Thanks for the recommendation so dose that mean to use this tool to manually force the phone to stay on a certain type of band? (eg not using HSDPA?) . I was thinking this would be fully automatic as it is a basic function of a mobile phone
I've installed and will give it a try next time the signal is lost.

Yes you can force the phone to use a certain band, and yes the phone should be doing this automatically but you can use this as a workaround and maybe a future update will solve the problem for you
Hi,
I am not sure whether is this Andorid-related, Samsung modem HW related, or even my ISP host related. Well, let me describe and then move on.
I notice when I am abroad, roaming, that when I go into low signal area and ROAMING (foreign operator) signal is lost, then my phone does not recover back ONLINE when I get back to area with excellent signal. In such situations my phone number will be unavailable even for whole day, if I do not notice. Very annoying, because I need to constantly pull out my glasses to see that tiny signal icon, check signal, whether I ma online or not, and if not, reset. Or use workaround instead of reset, to turn airplane mode ON then back OFF to reset signal, and voila, I am accessible again for calls and messaging.
What I tired already:
first, I checked with my wife, she has LG G7 smartphone AND she is subscribed with another ISP, and she does NOT have any similar problems. we are traveling together to those areas without signal and back to civilization.
then I sent my Samsung Galaxy S10 to service, and of course, they did not find any problems
then I changed my SIM card for new one, but no difference
then I got angry and bought new Samsung S21 Ultra...but first trip abroad, roaming + to areas without singal, same issue again, only me, my wife no problems
So... any idea?
Is it Samsung, my ISP operator (like, maybe they have some weird roaming algos?), or Andorid 10 and 11 bug?
S21 ultra is a terrible phone, it does take nice photos though

s21 poor signal strength
I've just upgraded to the s21 from the s10. Problem is that I now only get 1 bar showing on the signal strength most of the time (including home). On the s10 it was on 3 bars most of the time using the same network and SIM. If I swap the SIM card back to the s10 I get 3 bars showing again I...

Ever since the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra came to me about two months ago, I have had some problems with it non-stop. Some of the most common problems are network loss, that is, the cell phone shows that it has a full 4G / 5G signal, but in reality I have neither the internet nor anyone can call me. This occurs at least 2-3 times a day and I have to turn the airplane mode on and off to make the cell phone work normally again. Furthermore, sometimes it happens to me that I make a call but I do not hear the interlocutor nor does he hear me. The solution to this problem is to reset the phone. In the beginning, I had problems with unlocking, that is, the cell phone knew how to "freeze" for a minute, after which it would inform me that the UI had crashed, but now it has been corrected. Furthermore, it sometimes happens that some animations start to freeze or freeze briefly. I can’t believe I have such problems on such an expensive mobile device. Something like that hasn't happened to me on any Chinese mobile phones that are called "problematic", and now with Samsung it has become everyday. What should I do?
Feel your pain mines like old touchwiz days freezing , glitches, typing sometimes slow to keep up random stuff worst samsung ever signal very erratic 1 bar most of the time yet can put same sim in another phone and have full sig bars , can't wait to ofload it tbh
Have you got the latest, April, updates? Assuming they are available for your region. Working fine here with those installed.

I thought it only happened to me but I see that it is not, I have spoken with samsung and they have seen my system logs.
They have told me to take the smartphone to an official technician because my s22 ultra has a problem... With the signal?
