So I've jist just noticed my first dead pixel on any kind of display I've ever owned. Not 100% sure what to do about it. The phone should be covered correct? Also anyone else notice any dead pixels?

I had 3 on my OnePlus One, and they never accepted to replace the device or refund me. Gladly, no dead pixel on my Z5

I'm taking mine back to the Bell store, it's within their no questions asked return policy on a bought out phone , hopefully they won't hassle me, also going to try and move up to the Z5P , as the stupid rep who sold me the Z5 just less than 2 weeks ago told me they wouldn't be carrying them at Bell at all...

I bought the dock about 6 month ago, its a great product but 2 days ago, the piece where top of the phone locks in just cracked in two places, do you think Google or htc will replace it? or I am stuck with a broken dock?
it will definitely be replaced... under one year warranty call htc to verify.

The exact same thing happened to me. I called HTC to warranty it. They need your IMEI from your phone to log it under. It look escalation to get it fixed, but I ended up getting two in the end . Just sold one for 110$ on ebay

I have just received my XZ dual and all seems to be OK apart from the not so great camera, which I expected.
I have just found that there is a light bleed coming from the phone body, in the bottom right corner, between the display panel and frame. Waterproofing test seems to be working. Also it always stops about half second later after I turn off the screen, which is a bit strange.
I am adding a picture...
Does anyone have similar issue?
No light bleed on mine. Think the camera is fine too.

That's not normal at all, you should get yours replaced asap, this phone is supposed to be completely sealed.

That's what I thought as well. I have never seen such issue on any of my smartphones before. The problem is, I live in Europe and bought mine from HK. Hope the seller will take it back...

If you brought the phone brand new you don't need to sent it back to seller. It has international warranty for 2 years. Sony will fix the issue or replace handset.

Thanks for your advice. The seller has actually contacted me with the return shipping details and I will be returning it to their UK hotspot.
I have decided to get a refund instead of a repair or replacement as I am not really sure I want this phone anymore, at least not now. It's a beauty, but I will wait once all the issues are fixed and then maybe get one.

The phone is great, I really can't find any real negative side of it, people talk **** about it because of the 3gb of ram, but if you want disappointment give a look to samsung or htc's forums
I got a Pixel 2 non XL, but the screen and a reddish yellow tint to it, so I contacted google support and sent it back for a replacement. I talked to support several times, and every time they said I would be getting a new unit since I had the phone for less than 15 days, but I saw this post on reddit, and I worried that they might send me a refurbished unit. Is there any way to tell if the replacement phone is refurbished or new when it arrives? I sent back the charger and accessories not knowing I was supposed to keep them, and support said that was fine since new phones came with accessories and refurbished ones didn't, but I read a post on reddit from someone saying they recieved a refurbished device, but it came with the accessories. I only had the phone for like a day, so I want to make sure the replacement I'm getting is new, and not refurbished.

No, because I sent it back.
So how can I tell if the new device is new or refurbished once I receive it?
They're usually brand new this early in production.
What was your issue with the phone?
Can you describe it a bit more?

You're not the only one... Not sure if you saw this thread:

Or my follow-up question here:

I'm on my second Pixel 2 for much the same reason. I don't know if there's any way to tell with 100% certainty, but my replacement device certainly appeared to be brand new.

email will usually tell if its refurbished or new
I got an email saying that the replacement had shipped and it didn't say it was refurbished, and support said I would be getting a new one, so I'm pretty sure it will be new. I went to Best Buy today and looked at the Pixel 2 they had, and it also had a yellow tint, but not quite as bad as the one on the Pixel 2 I sent in.
Check out the pixel 2xl thread for more questions in that model

The cellular radio died on my Pixel 2, so they sent me a refurbished replacement. The display quality is no where near as good in the replacement. I'm really disappointed that the phone I had died after only five months, and they gave me a crappy replacement. Anyway I guess I just needed to vent somewhere
Hi all. I bought my Pixel 2 last November and my usb-c connector already shows signs of wear and tear When I plug in my charging cable, I notice an important game that forces me to push in and tilt the plug from top to bottom until you see the charging icon on the phone I charge my phone every day and the problem gets worse and I want to know if anyone else has the same problem. speak here.
Happened to me as well. First, check for lent and dust. Look for corrosion.
If you bought from the Google Store, you are in luck. Work with them and they will work with you and do a warranty on the device.

Unfortunately no, it is not sold on the Play Store in France. He comes from UK. I am disappointed that a manufacturer like HTC does not design more solid cards knowing that all the connections go through there (reloading, sound, usb,). Thank for your reply.

what if you bought from Verizon? Will Google honor the warranty then?
Google will honor the warranty in the US for any device for 2 years from the date of purchase.
My Zenfone 6 charging light started coming on randomly last night. The phone restarted and then gets to the Zenphone logo and automatically shuts down. I connected it to several chargers and it does not charge. I can enter the screen where yiu hold the volume up button and power button. I called asus support but because i bought the phone from hong kong the warranty is not valid here in the states. Any suggestions???
Thank you
get it the mainboard replaced out of warranty via asus or someone else and pay the fee wherever you bought it from told you in advance you wouldn't have a warranty.
Yeah, buying zenfone 6 without warranty with such poor quality control is a bad idea. Seems like your mobo died.

Do you own one? Are we seeing issues with the 'C' build in the US? I haven't. My build is rock solid.
True on your warranty statement!

That's true. I made the same mistake with the Zenfone 2. Getting one without a warranty, mixed with unknown quality control was a very bad idea.

I own 'A' 8/256. I don't have any report concerning US models. AFAIK early models are mostly from 'A' region.
It works great for me but that doesn't change the fact many people are complaining here and on ZenTalk about different problems, most of them could be easily resolved via better quality control. Dying motherboards are just one of them. Some phones suffered from camera lens getting foggy, parts misalignment, some phones are heating more than others or one of sim slots didn't work. I believe those are early production models but you can get one with problems by accident and then what? I can definitely recommend this phone, just don't try to save some bucks from importing it or you can get into
serious problem.
