[Q] Repair shop in Tokyo (Samsung Note 3 International SM-N9005) - General Questions and Answers

Please help me find a repair shop in Tokyo to fix the USB connector of my Samsung Note 3 SM-N9005 International version.
An insurance will cover all parts/labor costs but only if the repair is done in Japan. I'm happy to pay for the repair (insurance will) and I don't need any warranty for the repair. I already called Samsung Japan and they refuse to look at anything which is not officially Japanese, let alone repair it!
Can anyone point me in the right direction? A mobile phone repair shop in Tokyo which works on International Samsung models?

[Complain] Samsung Customer Service in Hong Kong

I’m not sure I’m posting in the right section, the following case happens on me with my Galaxy Note but it seems happening on everybody in Hong Kong. I am wondering if it is a local problem or a general problem of Samsung Customer Service.
I apparently got a hard brick on my Galaxy Note, so I visited the Customer Service centre in Hong Kong. One month after my warranty has expired, I’m expecting to pay. Let me first describe my case. I accidentally flashed something wrong to my Note with odin, and it was not booting anymore, so I guessed it should be just a hard brick.
OK, a technician in the centre checked my device and concluded that, THE MOTHERBOARD OF MY NOTE WAS BROKEN, and charged me ~$240 in USD ($1800HKD) to repair.
Simply unprofessional. I then search for more cases. Many people here with problem on their Note, SII, SIII, etc. for software failures or malfunctioning parts, got the same reply of broken motherboard. Most of them got it repaired from unofficial shops with a price under $100USD. What’s going on with Samsung Customer Service in Hong Kong? Is it the same in your local service centres?
What a unpleasant experience and I am so disappointed with Samsung. How can I complain the case to Samsung Directly?
.

warranty

i bought my phone in UK
but i live in israel i should reapir it
if i will repair in israel and they will open my phone and dont succed in the repair i will have still warranty in UK?
As long as the Israeli repair center is an Authorized Samsung Repair center, you should. Depending on the repair center, they may be able to repair it, but you might have a delay while they wait for parts.

Should I have my SG Note 2 repaired or get a new phone?

Hello! My SG Note 2 (N7100) recently died because of SDS local technicians on my place said that it can be repaired using JTAG. The said repair costs about PHP2,000 (38USD) but the technician has no assurance that the SDS will not return in the future. On my country, Philippines, cheapest phone brands price range of PHP2,500-3,500 (48-68USD) I can get second hand phones though. I only use apps like Facebook messenger, Gmail, Steam but not much of high end phones. Can you please help me decide the best solution?

Can Samsung Replace a Galaxy S7 Battery Out of Warranty (For a Cost)?

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a used Galaxy S7. I'm concerned about how long the battery was used, etc., and was wondering if I could send the phone to Samsung in the United States to have the battery replaced. Presumably, it will be out of warranty. Questions:
1. Can Samsung replace the battery? If so, how do I find out the cost and the procedure to do this?
2. What if I got a Canadian-based S7 (the SM-G930W8)? Can I still send it to Samsung here in the US to have the battery replaced?
3. Is there a way to find places authorized by Samsung to do the replacement? I don't want some place that will do a bad job or use an already used battery.
Thanks. I greatly appreciate your time!

Yeah, but the only problem is that I'm interested in getting one of the Canadian models because it has an unlockable bootloader, has an Exynos processor, and more Canadian and American band support (according to frequencycheck.com). I can get the battery replaced in Toronto, but it's more expensive than doing it in the US. One place in New Jersey charges $45 for everything. I contacted that store and they told me they don't accept mail-ins from me. I'd have to get the service request approved by Samsung and they send me a box and a shipping label to send the phone in NJ. I could, however, do a walk-in with that store. It makes no sense.
I contacted Samsung and they gave me a link to look up service center locations. So I put in my zip code and 0 results came up. 0 results nearby. That's because my zip code is outside a certain range. It won't even give me the nearest one, even though obviously service centers exist in the US. You have to type other zip codes. It's so stupid. And they probably won't even approve of a battery replacement in the US because of my Canadian model phone. I'll have to wait until the next time I'm in Toronto. All S7's are more or less the same, same battery tech, etc. What difference is there?
Hey I asked the official Samsung store back in July about replacing my phone battery, they said because it's out of warranty it would cost me like 180 + tax. I didn't find it to be worth it. But a few weeks ago, I went to this shop in Square One Missisauga, Mobile Klinik, they charged me 100+ tax to get the phone battery replaced with the original glue so the phone is still IP-68 certified water resistant. You can try and see if you have such Samsung certified shops nearby, or try this place in Toronto the next time you're here. They have another shop in Vaughan mills as well.
Good Luck! ?

Thanks. Do you know if these places use genuine Samsung, brand new never used batteries? Where do they get their batteries from? Are they an authorized Samsung center? How do I know if I can trust them?

Yup they are authorised Samsung repair center. They said it was an OEM battery. They give a receipt as well and a 1 year warranty on the battery. So if any problems arise due to the battery, I can go to them and they will fix it.
Dont you think its funny that people come on here to ask question while 1 email or call to the samsung support would have given awnsers to all of them under few minutes? no samsung wont replace the battery for free under warranty and replacement here in euro is around 60 to 80 euro.s

Yes, I contacted Samsung customer support as well. However, I like getting information from actual customers because sometimes these companies will give inaccurate information.
Also, I never asked if Samsung will replace the battery for free under warranty. If you read the title of my thread, it says "Out of Warranty (For a Cost)". Don't you think it's funny that people come on here to criticize a thread without first reading the title?

Repairing Hong Kong variant in the USA

Hey,
I have a Hong Kong variant of the S10e (G9700) that I have unfortunately cracked the screen of. However, local Samsung Cares repair shops and mail-in Samsung repair won't take it because it doesn't show up in their system or it blocks it or something. I also messaged them on Twitter and they said it was against warranty laws but if I understand it correctly, the phone wasn't warrantied for physical damage anyways.
So, do I have any options for getting this repaired from an official Samsung Cares repair place or am I SOL? Is it feasible or even possible to send this to Hong Kong to get fixed?
Thanks!
