[LIST] Xperia E CM11 bugs - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

As of now, working:
Touchscreen/Display
WiFi
Sound
Partitioning (that vold stuff thingy)
Bluetooth (turns on, but seriously unstable; I lost a song the hard way)
Radio
SIM works
CWM and TWRP (thanks for that, @UltraGamerHD)
OC to 1.3 Ghz
Proximity sensor
GSM
Stuff that bugs out:
Camera
If phone doesn't see GSM while turning on, it doesn't see GSM at all. com.android.phone crashes and ROM reboots randomly (Once again, thanks, @UltraGamerHD).
Not tested:
Compass
Thanks to UltraGamerHD, jjm34, sl3rgx, lozohcum, AshRoller, joebonrichie, ShivangDave, and anybody in the TamsuiCM11 team I've forgotten. Oh, and Cyanogen, Inc. You guys define awesome.

SIM works, but if you have a single SIM phone, remove persist.multisim.config=dsds from the build.prop; otherwise you can't hang up on a call.
CWM (@Grimlock007 Where'd the TWRP come from? My build has CWM 6.0.4.7)
OC to 1.3 Ghz
Proximity sensor

GPS (probably works; I think I saw a GPS icon when I started the thing up)
Compass (will try ASAP)

hybroman 12 which i am using right now is extremely stable, everything working..
otherwise the cm 7.2 fxp 108 is stable too but without the stereo speaker and the walkman button..
performance wise, cm 7.2 is much better, with higher benchmarks

just follow the ones given on the hybrom download site, it's pretty clear exact words,
Installation instructions
Needs unlocked bootloader
(actually hybrom does not contain a boot image. Thus, when you install hybrom you don't mess with your boot image at all.BUT recovery from nAa is installed in /system and while system is formated during the installation of hybrom, recovery messes with it self. That's why unlocked bootloader is necessary for now to install hybrom)
Copy the zip file to your SD card
Reboot your device in CWM
Make a full data wipe-factory reset
Wipe cache and Dalvik cache
Choose install zip from sd card
Wait for installation to end
Reboot
(First reboot after installation might take a while and screen gets totally black after boot animation is displayed for about a minute or twnly on first reboot)
Reboot a second time
Enjoy!
(If anyone gets stuck at se logo at first reboot,he should try this also: First make the data wipe, then install, then shutdown the device.Turn it on after about 10sec)
(Tested and confirmed by chrisbymoningka for v7)
Got some doubts..
1)What is the use of changing kernal??
2)please give me instructions to unlock the boot loader..
3)How to get CWM By installing Xrecovery or some otherway?
thank you

1. changing kernel lets you overclock your phone, like use it at 1.2ghz, when you need it, i do not suggest it, as it decreases the battery life by a lot. also cpu governors, which is like the clock is limited to 600mhz at night, thus saving battery..
2. go to http://unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com/ easy instructions given. remember this voids your warranty..
3.the custom kernels come with preinstalled CWM and root
Since I didn't install any kernel how can l go to cwm for my friend w8 I used x recovery ,but I didn't find x recovery for wt 19i

Hi. I have a similar problem.
Phone (xperia J) is working fine with stock rom, rooted and unlocked bootloader. But when i flash custom rom there is no IMEI, no signal and no efs folder (nv_data file). And if I go back to stock rom the IMEI is back and mobile network works.
So my question is is there any way to transfer IMEI, recreate efs folder, so I can use custom roms?
I have to post 10 times before I can post links outside this forum.

Use it at your own risk. Read this text first before you get started.
If you follow these steps your phone is back to the original settings. You have your signal back and you IMEI.
Now you want your phone rooted! Right? Right!
For rooting Sony Xperia J 11.0.A.7.5 version, 11.2.A.0.21, 11.2.A.0.31 (and or later) using ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery necessitating an unlocked bootloader (unlocked bootloader).
Broadly speaking, the rooting procedure using CWM recovery to install su, busybox and Superuser.apk files bundled in the update. The steps are: flash CWM, rooting package update using CWM recovery, then flash the stock kernel back.
Preparation:
1. Fastboot files here
2. Unlock Boatloader.
3. CWM Sony Xperia J (boot.img)
4. Sony Xperia J stock kernel 11.0.A.7.5 (kernel.sin), can be extracted from the image ftf.
5. Update file for rooting (root_xperia_signed.zip
Update March 8, 2013:
All the required files in the download is packaged in the following:
- Version 11.0.A.7.5
- Version 11.2.A.0.21
- Version 11.2.A.0.31 (May 30, 2013)
The steps:
1. Root_xperia_signed.zip copy files to the internal / external sdcard.
2. Prepare boot.img, kernel.sin, fastboot.exe into the working folder. (Make self a folder on you PC Harddisk)
3. Prepare boot.img, kernel.sin, fastboot.exe into the working folder.
Turn off the phone, unplug the USB cable and go into fastboot mode by pressing and holding down the Vol + Up while plugging in the USB cable, fastboot mode can be seen from the blue LED light on the top panel.
4. Check whether the connection is correct fastboot, type in Command Prompt:
fastboot getvar version
If prompt <waiting for device> is displayed, then the connection is not successful, try to check whether the driver for fastboot already installed.
5. Flash CWM and restart the phone:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
6. When the phone restarts, observe the LED on the bottom of the panel when it turns purple, immediately press and hold the Vol + Up button until the LED turns blue to get into CWM. USB cable can then be removed.
7. At CWM, select install zip from sdcard, then choose zip from sdcard / external sdcard and select the file in step 1 above. Continue reboot system now and turn off the phone (if necessary by removing the battery and repeat to enter fastboot mode).
8. Repeat steps 3 and 4.
9. Flash stock kernel:
fastboot flash boot kernel.sin
fastboot reboot
10. Turn on the phone, check whether the application is installed SuperSU. Congratulations rooting successful.

Thanks, but that's not what i needed.
I already have stock rom rooted and working. Problem is if I install custom rom (FXP, PA), rom starts but no mobile signal and no IMEI. So I cannot use it.
Is there a way to like "copy/paste" IMEI from stock rom to custom rom?
edit: read somewhere on xda that this is a CM10 bug and CM10 based roms for xperia J.
disregard my last post (and previous post also)
fixed it!
what I did:
1. flash original stock ICS rom - 11.0.A.7.5.CE
2. reboot phone and then shutdown (not sure if this is necessary)
3. flash CWM img from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2034639
4. install custom rom (FXP233)
5. reboot
and now mobile signal works and IMEI is back.
hope it helps somebody and sorry for hijacking your thread Stoetel

Here you can find the latest Android 4.0.4 version for the Sony Xperia Tipo ST21
And here the CWM for Tipo.
Kernel can you extract from the ftf file. You can open th ftf file with Winzip or Winrar.
Flashtool. You can also use this program to check if your phone is bootlocked.
Go check this site if you need your phone to unlock the bootloader.
Follow the instructions above in the previous post. Or search on this forum for the solution.
Good luck.

[Q] Xperia E CM10 - Battery stuck @ 100%

Hey. I have this Xperia E C1504 (currently using C1505 stock). I installed CM10 on it some time ago, and I noticed that the battery level was stuck at 100%. This even caused the battery to be used beyond capacity and I had to get my phone fixed at the Sony service center (I relocked the bootloader for the trip).
Why did this happen? Why was the battery stuck at 100%? Anybody? The ROM I used is this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2330638
EDIT: Forgot to mention this, but the battery works awesomely in stock.

As said above, format /data and /cache before flashing the ROM. Also, try the kernel from hsr0's ROM (what this means, is that you need to download hsr0's ROM, open it with WinRAR or 7-zip, take out the boot.img, and flash it with fastboot).

My dear fella. If you had read the thread I made you would know this!
This is the last time I will be saying this:
This is an update of jjm34 for the E dual. Version 1.1.0. Somehow on this version GSM isn't buggy. It is the E dual version, so you will have to select SIM1 as your SIM. The bugs are still the same:
-Video recording not working
-Video streaming not working
-Bluetooth not working(well, it turns on and connects but fails to exchange any media)
-Magnetometer not working(no automatic moving to landscape/portrait.
All right? Clear enough?
This ROM fixes just the GSM and nothing more. It was not made by me or UltraGamerHD. It is an update by jjm34.
Mats
What gets overwritten? I dont exactly understand, please explain to me. What i understand is i can flash cm10 on zeus, but when changing to termin, i have to reflash zeus?

If you flash the FTF (firmware) file, you're phone will become absolutely normal. Like a factory release. It shall become ordinary, like the very first time when you bought it.
No, the recoveries wont last, you will have to flash the kernels again.

(Root) pre rooted flashable zip file 18.3.C.0.39 for D2303

Hey there,
i have created a flashable zip file for the xperia M2 D2303 with this tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/tool-prfcreator-easily-create-pre-t2859904
You can flash this file in CWM Recovery like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2746407
After flashing you have the newest firmware for this device with root rights!
Good luck and happy flashing!
Instructions:
1. Unlock your bootloader if not already done
2. Download CWM Recovery from link above
3. Flash the CWM with flashtool in fastboot mode
4. Reboot in CWM
5. Wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik
Note: If you want not loose your apps and settings only wipe cache and dalvik in CWM before flashing the zip file.
6. flash the zip file from link below
7. reboot system
8. done
If the system after the flash is not writable, please visit this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/development/tut-fix-mount-kitkat-root-t2861661
requirements:
Sony Xperia M2 D2303
Unlocked bootloader
CWM Recovery from link above
Flashtool
Note: Please backup your system in CWM befor flashing!

What's the difference between this version and 18.3.C.0.37 except root? Also how to flash cwm?
Now we just need a method to bring CWM or TRWP to the D2303. Or is it included in the above, and I can flash it via kernel + Flashtool?
I will update the op as soon as posible.

If the kernel contains CWM, I could extract the kernel.elf from the .zip, then flash it via fastboot. Correct?
Which region is the ROM from?

The kernel in this zip file not includes CWM! You need the CWM from DooMloRD.
Flash this file via fastboot, then reboot in recovery.
This is the customized MY 1281-1590 version of this firmware.

Not - Doomlords Recovery link doesn't work ... at least not here in China.

The differences are minimal, minor bugfixes. On my device it works fine.
For flash the CWM, read the op.
when will their be a custom kernel for us locked bootloaders with cwm on it .as would like to see it on the m2 locked bootloaders .
If the fix mount system tut here does not work for you, which may not, here is a simple fix just for removing the unneeded system apk's after flashing dotzi's 18.3.C.0.39:
- create a file named "enable" with a file editor with the value 0 in it
- save the file without .txt extension, or remove the extension after the file is saved
- copy the file "enable" to sys/kernel/security/sony_ric (ignore any failed operation message)
- set permissions to rw-r-r-
Gives full access to all system files for the current session.

This customized ROM works fine for me. Thanks to the OP!
Perfect would be CWM integrated into kernel, dito for the mount-sript (and init support) into ROM. That's all we need No de-odexing or other pointless stuff.

Nice to hear that it works. To integrate CWM will only be possible if a working Recovery is available for the D2303. I just tried it in the kernel building, but I failed miserably. But I will try as soon as possible to integrate the mount-script and the init.d support.
Let us hope that even more people to deal with it and the development is of overriding driven.

Consider putting the doomlord kernel which contains the CWM onto another storage (if he allows). Downloading from the current location is really not fun.
I'll be subscribing here as it seems you want to bring it further.:good:

Thanks for your hard work, really appreciate it

It doesn't matter. Flash the cwm via fastboot, and boot only in recovery by pressing vol down. Then Flash the zip file and reboot! It works, believe me!
