[Q] Xperia E CM10 - Battery stuck @ 100% - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Hey. I have this Xperia E C1504 (currently using C1505 stock). I installed CM10 on it some time ago, and I noticed that the battery level was stuck at 100%. This even caused the battery to be used beyond capacity and I had to get my phone fixed at the Sony service center (I relocked the bootloader for the trip).
Why did this happen? Why was the battery stuck at 100%? Anybody? The ROM I used is this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2330638
EDIT: Forgot to mention this, but the battery works awesomely in stock.

Bump. Nobody? Please? I really want CM10, it was awesome while I had it.

Happened both times I installed CM10. I may try the FXP version, or the jjm34 version with the FXP kernel. Thanks, though! Will report back.

He has a single-SIM version too. I'm downloading FXP244 right now, will report back.

Nope, nothing. Stuck at CyanogenMod bootscreen for ages.

Choose a different FXP version then,

Problem solved! Like an idiot, I forgot to format /data and /cache.
Thanks a lot, @Abadguy10 and @fonetalker101!

I am experiencing the same problem. Using jim34 version on a 1505 single. The FXP version caused my sim card not to be recognized.
What version does work for you now and how did you manage to eliminate the battery problem?

As said above, format /data and /cache before flashing the ROM. Also, try the kernel from hsr0's ROM (what this means, is that you need to download hsr0's ROM, open it with WinRAR or 7-zip, take out the boot.img, and flash it with fastboot).

Thanks! Using hsr0's ROM fixed the problem (actually it is a continuation of jim34's ROM). for reference, its here:

Really? My phone must be a rare one, cause hsr0's ROM doesn't work properly in my phone, but jjm34's with hsr0's kernel does. Strange ways how Android works...

What i did:
0. wipe data, cache
1. flash stock rom (with flashtool, via usb) and wipe cache, data
2. reboot, shutdown
3. flash hsr0's boot.img with fastboot (via usb)
4. reboot, disconnect usb
5. flash hsr0's ZIP from the recovery boot (cm_nanhu_ds-ota-1.1.0.zip on sdcard)
6. wipe cache, data
7. reboot
8. *jumping around, because it finally works*

I just tested all variations of hanging up:
1. getting called -> hanging up before accepting call
2. getting called -> accepting -> hanging up
3. calling myself -> hanging up
all three work for me.

Guide: Installing Kernels/Roms on Xperia L (Unlocked Bootloader only)

Hey there guys, this thread is noob friendly and is made especially for those of you who just got their first Sony phone and decided to flash a custom kernel or rom.
I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone, use this tutorial at your own risk.
Things you'll need:
- Xperia L with Unlocked Bootloader(ofcourse haha) Look here on how to unlock your bootloader.
- Flashtool
Installing a kernel (This tutorial is for 4.2.2 only, that is 15.3.A.0.26+)
1. Download phantom kernel from here (both Phantom_modules.zip and the boot.img) Place the "Phantom_modules.zip" into your phone (sd card or internal storage) Or you can use any other kernel's boot.img
2. After installing flashtool, or if you already have it installed, open it and click on the Flash icon (the first icon from the left)
4. When it asks you to choose a bootmode, select fastboot mode and press ok.
5. After all this has done turn of your phone (Xperia L).
6. Get out your usb cable and plug it into your computer while holding the "volume up" button. (notice your phone will glow blue below, this means that it is in fastboot mode.)
7. On the pop up window where it says "By Doomlord", choose "select kernel to flash". Locate your boot.img file that you just downloaded a while ago and select it.(Notice if the boot.img file is not showing up in the file menu, on the right cornor make sure the file type is set as "*.img")
8. Be patient and wait till the kernel has been flashed, should take no longer than 10 seconds.
9. Now select "Reboot device into system" and wait for your phone to power on, now once it's powered on without any problems turn it off. Now turn on your phone and wait for a purple glow then hold down the "volume down"button. Now you'll be in CWM (clock work recovery mod) Once you're here select install from zip. Locate your "phantom_modules.zip"(or the zip file, of your kernel choice) and select yes. Wait for it to be flashed and then go back and, reboot sytem.
10. From here you can flash any kernel/rom via CWM, like Thunderzap or civic. Just boot into cwm, select install from zip and locate your kernel zip file and hit install.

- Sony for their kernel source
Hit thanks if this helped you out.
I don't think that's needed to be Phantom Kernel, or any other in specific, since the kernel provide a recovery with the possibility to flash a zip, it's ok (correct if I'm wrong).
I had unlocked my bootloader, then flashed the boot.img inside of the flashable zip from ThunderZap, then, rebooted to recovery right way, and flashed the entire package from ThunderZap.
Regards and thanks for the helpfull post!

No probs
Well it was the first kernel for 4.2.2 and that's why I put it up instead. I know we can use the boot.img from thunderzap too but if I'm not specific enough most of the noobs wont understand. I also chose that kernel because it comes with a recovery so then you can just flash other kernels via cwm.
Complicated - with properly installed drivers you can start flashtool with usb-cable plugged in. After clicking the flash icon choose "Reboot into fastboot mode (via ADB)".
When the phone is in fastboot mode (blue led) choose "Select kernel to flash". No need to turn off the phone and play with cable and vol-down button...

Sorry for noob question, but in step 9, can I skip the flashing "phantom_modules.zip" part and keep the stock kernel?

Ignore this. I thought it was CWM only. I should have researched more before installing this. But I installed it and it is working good.

Flash any (4.2.2) stock rom and try again. That's why your WiFi probably isn't working. Either that or you didn't flash the kernel zip file (ex thunderzap4.1.zip) after fast booting the kernel img.

WiFi now working
I am also facing the same issue where wifi is not working on any Rom. So after following the steps mentioned earlier. What exactly should be done like boot to recovery then flash gapps and then reboot. Once booted flash boot.img from the Rom and then boot to recovery to flash the full kernal zip package..?

I have a HUGE problem. Please help me ASAP!
I just flashed my Xperia L to CM 12.1. I was already on CM 12 before. So I went into recovery, wiped everything and installed the new ROM from zip. Everything worked fine except for the network signal. I was getting no network signal at all. So, when I rebooted the phone, I saw that the ThunderZap kernel was also removed. I tried to flash the kernel using flashtool, but this particular variant has 2 .img files (bootlp and bootkk). I flashed them both using the FlashtTool. Now, when I reboot my phone, all I see is the ThunderZap logo. Please help me ASAP, as this is my only primary driver phone.

[Q] Flashtool problem

Hello guys,
So I'm getting real pissed here. I want to revert to CM10, and I need firmware 11.3.A.0.47 for this. Now: I've downloaded the firmware from my own thread , put it in the Flashtool folder, and opened Flashtool. Connected my little E in Flashmode, and clicked the thunder icon. But my frickin firmware doesn't get recognized! I have downloaded 3 different copies, and used 4 versions of Flashtool, but still it doesn't work.
Gettiing real pissed here. Has anyone a solution, or a Flashtool version that rezognizes this firmware?!!!
Thank you.

And I'm stuck in a later stage.
I can flash 0.47 (my FTF is named "C1505_11.3.A.0.47_CE.ftf", and my Flashtool version is 0.9.13.0 - also, are you using Admin permissions and 64-bit Flashtool?) and 2.23 successfully, but I want CM10. So I flash hsr0's kernel, install jjm34's CM10 and Gapps using TWRP, flash hsr0's kernel again (because jjm34's ROM's kernel overwrites it), then boot the phone up. I get the CyanogenMod loading screen, nothing else. Stuck on boot animation.

It's too embarassing. Just too friggin embarassing. I feel like the dumbest little piece of (fill in yourself). If I was a moderator, I would have completely wiped this thread. Problems I had when I first came to XDA for my Samsung Apollo(yeah), 2 years ago I encounter now. Too embarassing!
My computer did a little popup ''new device recognized, Sony Fastboot Device', would you like to install the drivers?'' And I refused to. Now, 2 minutes ago I installed them, and yes... It works.
Sorry for the noobness overload.

Mine got stuck at the CyanogenMod logo before this, but, sure, try it (no harm, any done is fixable via Flashtool).
Same for me, no idea why suddenly CM10 stopped working... maybe Sony doesn't want us installing custom ROMs (even though they provided us the source), and secretly issued a firmware upgrade over WiFi that causes our phones not to work with anything other than Sony? Nah, that's just me being paranoid.

Flash 11.3.A.0.47 - 2.23 won't work properly.
Now open CM11's ZIP file. Flash the boot.img inside it as your kernel.
Now boot CWM.
Choose the option to factory reset.
Now install the CM11 ZIP file.
Now install the Gapps ZIP file.
Now, boot your phone.
No Zeus kernel needed.

Follow this step
1. Flash 11.3.A.0.47 ftf firmware.
2. Flash boot.img(included in the nanhu cm11 zip file) in fastboot mode using flashtool.
Boot.img file has twrp recovery included.Completely wipe the data and factory reset.
3. Copy cm11.zip and gapps file to sdcard.
4. Flash cm11 followed by gapps.
5. Restart and you'll have no problem with battery status and network.

Files must be encrypted for fxp dev,s only untill release. that,s was front page won,t show any cm12 for e3(flamingo) it must be worse than even android L aosp.
Use SONY AOSP instead of CM12
I think its a better choice to follow official Sony AOSP Lollipop 5.0 method instead using Cyanogenmod 12. It doesnt matter if is D22XX (XX mean 02/03/06/12/43)
http://developer.sonymobile.com/kno...e/open-devices/list-of-devices-and-resources/
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/device-sony-flamingo
Also, AOSP is closer to pureness in android, because even cyanogenmod have useful tricks that are not so pure.
@Exerath Try the AOSP and tell us!

@lexiyuri
I tried AOSP 5.0 BUT the only thing that makes me go back to kitkat is the knew bug with photos, If I can't take photos with my phone, I just can't work (I need to take photos oftens because I work on a "chantier" (not sure about the word but know as Dockyard too)
I would be happy to use AOSP and a working camera, if possible having root too so, if you have the solution --- Tell me how please
UP
I'm using 'AOSP_L_150129_flamingo' rooted - no camera, no gps ,no video and no recovery, Wifi was working but now it's not, bluetooth is good. I then flashed the boot image from 'Cwm20150203-UNOFFICIAL-flamingo' and now have recovery and still rooted.
So lots o good things but it's not usable yet.

No, battery life seemed ok, but I didn't pay too much attention to it. I've gone back to stock now.
hi,
I tried to flash FXP cm12 to my phone, and followed by this steps:
- I downloaded FXP-cm-12-20150209-UNOFFICIAL-flamingo.zip from here.
- Extract boot.img from zip.
- Flashed boot.img to my D2203. ( fastboot flash boot boot.img )
- Turn on the phone.
- When I pressed the Vol-Down key, when the purple light is on, I thought, the CWM will come, but it isn't.
- Nothing happened.
1st question: what did I do wrong?
2nd question: how can be flash the FXP cm12 to the D2203?
3rd question: from where can be download the working(!!) boot.img to cm12?
Thanks for reply.
ps: of course, at the end of the process, the rooted boot.img went back to the phone, and now it's working well...

thanks, good idea, bur not working.
ps: are you tried too?
Return to stock inmediately and wait until sony releases an official lollipop. Stock is nice and you can use it everyday
But if you want lollipop so bad
Currently, FXP CM12 is not working well, but AOSP is working with bugs (no camera, no wake up) but is better than FXP CM12
I was dowload the FXP-cm-12-20150302-UNOFFICIAL-flamingo.zip,
from here.
Extract boot.img from zip, and flashed. ( fastboot flash boot boot.img )
Does anyone know how to, which keys press exactly to get CWM recovery?
VolumeUp or VolumeDown don't working.
I have D2203.
CM11 and CM12 now working on D2203
CM11 no bugs, everything working (NFC dont count as bug cause its just useless...)
CM12 almost same bugs as AOSP + no sound in rear speaker

[Q] Xperia J not booting after CWM installation

Having trouble with my Xperia J after I rooted and installed CWM. Since then the device doesn't boot. After pressing power button it shows a 'yellow' light and then nothing happens. I then flashed it using flashtool with twrp2.4.3-jlo's boot.img and used custom ROM 'MOD_For_Z-Fusion_For_CM10'. It installs fine but SIM card is not recognized. I read somewhere about this problem and the resolution was to install a correct firmware. How can I get my SIM card read? Do I need to flash the device with another firmware?
The bootloader is unlocked and if I ever install boot.img apart from twrp2.4.3-jlo's one then the installed CWM doesn't works. Only twrp2.4.3-jlo's own recovery mode works fine.
Another major problem is that if I press volume down button and connect with the USB cable then only the BLUE color appears and FLASHTOOL reads it in fast boot. So, I am never able to set it in flash boot.
Please help me in getting my device up and running. Let me know if there are some firmware or custom rom which I can Install and get my device running.
Thanks in advance

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. As i mentioned, once I flash any boot.img then the CWM under recovery mode doesn't work. So, how should I fix the permission for CWM? Would it help in resolving the SIM issue too?
Thanks in advance.

I was able to fix the permissions in CWM but the SIM card still didn't get detect. I have installed CM10 (FXP213) using fastboot. As per the another thread '[Q] Xperia J CM10 FXP213 - no SIM card problem by darkdonald' in XDA it looks that I need to flash back to ICS first and then proceed with FXP213 but the major problem I am facing is that my mobile device 'xperia J' isn't getting connected in flashmode. I press volume-up or volume-down the device is always detected in fastboot and in both the cases the light turn to Blue.

If you have CM 10, only flash Baseband from ICS stock ftf (check everything except Baseband, leave wipes unchecked) that worked for me.

Thanks a lot. Yes, the baseband is showing unknown and I should fix this to get the SIM working but a major problem I am facing is that the device is never going to flash mode (so I can't use FlashTool to flash tft's). I will try to change tft firmware file to flash-able zip or search for a baseband flash-able zip file.

Try with different cable, and connect it to the back of pc. I had problems with original cable that comes with phone and I'm using short 10cm cable from a Nokia that i had. It's working perfectly now. About Baseband, i think it will still be unknown after flashing, but you'll have Net.
Good Luck
