[Q] Flashtool problem - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Hello guys,
So I'm getting real pissed here. I want to revert to CM10, and I need firmware 11.3.A.0.47 for this. Now: I've downloaded the firmware from my own thread , put it in the Flashtool folder, and opened Flashtool. Connected my little E in Flashmode, and clicked the thunder icon. But my frickin firmware doesn't get recognized! I have downloaded 3 different copies, and used 4 versions of Flashtool, but still it doesn't work.
Gettiing real pissed here. Has anyone a solution, or a Flashtool version that rezognizes this firmware?!!!
Thank you.

And I'm stuck in a later stage.
I can flash 0.47 (my FTF is named "C1505_11.3.A.0.47_CE.ftf", and my Flashtool version is 0.9.13.0 - also, are you using Admin permissions and 64-bit Flashtool?) and 2.23 successfully, but I want CM10. So I flash hsr0's kernel, install jjm34's CM10 and Gapps using TWRP, flash hsr0's kernel again (because jjm34's ROM's kernel overwrites it), then boot the phone up. I get the CyanogenMod loading screen, nothing else. Stuck on boot animation.

@MatsPunt - Your 11.3.A.0.47 ftf does not work from the (link) please use: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_d8uWGbkaeteEhfUTMzWWo2SlE/edit
That should work!

Really. That is actually quite embarassing .
But the link you sent me is a 11.3.A.2.23, at least the title says so? Did you sent me the wrong link?
Thank you! If you have a working version, I will re-upload the working one .
Thank you!
Little EDIT: found this one on DevHost: http://d-h.st/ufn. I'll download and test!
Holy gods cows! This one works! Tomorrow I will re-upload this one, and edit my thread. Now it's time to eat
As always, have a nice day!

Hi,
Was a little bit too enthousiastic to see Ultragamer's post, so I didn't see yours. Isn't the right order:
1. flash 11.3.A.0.47.
2. Flash jjm34's CWM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2276943
3. Flash jjm34's rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2330638
4. Flash his Gapps. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2330638
5. Then flash hsr0's kernel. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2518451
Right?

Ok... Most of the time I'm not a spammer, so please forgive me.
Fastboot isn't working... Flashtool keeps saying ''06/003/2014 17:03:45 - ERROR - Drivers need to be installed for connected device.
06/003/2014 17:03:45 - ERROR - You can find them in the drivers folder of Flashtool.''
But bloody Flashtool, I have installed them! Any suggestions... Feel kinda like a noob right now
Have a nice day
It's too embarassing. Just too friggin embarassing. I feel like the dumbest little piece of (fill in yourself). If I was a moderator, I would have completely wiped this thread. Problems I had when I first came to XDA for my Samsung Apollo(yeah), 2 years ago I encounter now. Too embarassing!
My computer did a little popup ''new device recognized, Sony Fastboot Device', would you like to install the drivers?'' And I refused to. Now, 2 minutes ago I installed them, and yes... It works.
Sorry for the noobness overload.

Thanks for that, but I solved the problem. Here's what I did:
1. Flash 0.47.
2. Flash hsr0's kernel.
3. Wipe system, data, cache, and dalvik-cache.
4. Flash jjm34's ROM.
5. Flash generic 4.1.2 Gapps.
6. Flash hsr0's kernel again.

Awesome, man! That's like gold for me! Yesterday I have tried to install it 3 times, and the whole time it stopped at the Sony logo after flashing hsr0 's kernel... Thanks! Definetely going to try this in the afternoon.
But I find it strange. The first time I installed CM10, I did it as I said before, but somehow it doesn't work now? Ah, well, going to try this.
Have a nice day, and thank you!

Mine got stuck at the CyanogenMod logo before this, but, sure, try it (no harm, any done is fixable via Flashtool).
Same for me, no idea why suddenly CM10 stopped working... maybe Sony doesn't want us installing custom ROMs (even though they provided us the source), and secretly issued a firmware upgrade over WiFi that causes our phones not to work with anything other than Sony? Nah, that's just me being paranoid.

Wifi works fine. It's definitely user error
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda premium
So, you get some FC's and WiFi doesn't work... ok.
1. Have you tried flashing the boot.img (the correct one, extracted from the ROM zip) with fastboot? Well, try it again! "adb fastboot flash boot boot.img" and make sure that you have the boot.img in the folder where you run the command. This way you will reflash the kernel and at least the WiFi problem should go away.
VERY IMPORTANT after you run the flash boot command in fastboot, it is recommended to do a "fastboot erase cache" before booting.
2. Now, if this doesn't fix your issues, try wiping everything from your phone (do a Titanium bkp for your apps, not your system settings) and go with a full wipe (Dalvik included). Flash the ROM once again and after that is complete, don't boot the phone. Do a data and cache wipe again, and reboot to bootloader. Get in fastboot usb mode and repeat the first step.

Thank You very very much!!!
The problem was the Kernel (boot.img).
After i upgraded to the last 4.1.2 the kernel stopped working.
I tried to wipe all data and cache with no good results.
This night i tried to flash again for the third time the boot.img by Toolkit 1.2 and it started working again!!!
So i wiped all data and cache again. Installed the 4.1.2 again, the gapps and started to setup all the stuff again
Thank you for your answers and @mikeyinid too!!

The best practice for now is flashing the boot.img (containing the kernel) via fastboot. Try that, because the custom recoveries cannot flash the boot.img, not until we get s-off-ed.
Good Luck!

It's great that you managed to fix it. And when you discover the fix yourself, it's even more rewarding
I can recommend TrickDroid, it's close to stock, actually very close to stock, with just some great tweaks added, and it has no bugs. You can rely on this rom as a daily driver.

Thank you very much buddy for talking me about this rom.

[Q] Xperia E CM10 - Battery stuck @ 100%

Hey. I have this Xperia E C1504 (currently using C1505 stock). I installed CM10 on it some time ago, and I noticed that the battery level was stuck at 100%. This even caused the battery to be used beyond capacity and I had to get my phone fixed at the Sony service center (I relocked the bootloader for the trip).
Why did this happen? Why was the battery stuck at 100%? Anybody? The ROM I used is this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2330638
EDIT: Forgot to mention this, but the battery works awesomely in stock.

As said above, format /data and /cache before flashing the ROM. Also, try the kernel from hsr0's ROM (what this means, is that you need to download hsr0's ROM, open it with WinRAR or 7-zip, take out the boot.img, and flash it with fastboot).

Guide: Installing Kernels/Roms on Xperia L (Unlocked Bootloader only)

Hey there guys, this thread is noob friendly and is made especially for those of you who just got their first Sony phone and decided to flash a custom kernel or rom.
I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone, use this tutorial at your own risk.
Things you'll need:
- Xperia L with Unlocked Bootloader(ofcourse haha) Look here on how to unlock your bootloader.
- Flashtool
Installing a kernel (This tutorial is for 4.2.2 only, that is 15.3.A.0.26+)
1. Download phantom kernel from here (both Phantom_modules.zip and the boot.img) Place the "Phantom_modules.zip" into your phone (sd card or internal storage) Or you can use any other kernel's boot.img
2. After installing flashtool, or if you already have it installed, open it and click on the Flash icon (the first icon from the left)
4. When it asks you to choose a bootmode, select fastboot mode and press ok.
5. After all this has done turn of your phone (Xperia L).
6. Get out your usb cable and plug it into your computer while holding the "volume up" button. (notice your phone will glow blue below, this means that it is in fastboot mode.)
7. On the pop up window where it says "By Doomlord", choose "select kernel to flash". Locate your boot.img file that you just downloaded a while ago and select it.(Notice if the boot.img file is not showing up in the file menu, on the right cornor make sure the file type is set as "*.img")
8. Be patient and wait till the kernel has been flashed, should take no longer than 10 seconds.
9. Now select "Reboot device into system" and wait for your phone to power on, now once it's powered on without any problems turn it off. Now turn on your phone and wait for a purple glow then hold down the "volume down"button. Now you'll be in CWM (clock work recovery mod) Once you're here select install from zip. Locate your "phantom_modules.zip"(or the zip file, of your kernel choice) and select yes. Wait for it to be flashed and then go back and, reboot sytem.
10. From here you can flash any kernel/rom via CWM, like Thunderzap or civic. Just boot into cwm, select install from zip and locate your kernel zip file and hit install.
Credits:
- Kernel Owners.
- Sony for their kernel source
Hit thanks if this helped you out.
I don't think that's needed to be Phantom Kernel, or any other in specific, since the kernel provide a recovery with the possibility to flash a zip, it's ok (correct if I'm wrong).
I had unlocked my bootloader, then flashed the boot.img inside of the flashable zip from ThunderZap, then, rebooted to recovery right way, and flashed the entire package from ThunderZap.
Regards and thanks for the helpfull post!

No probs
Well it was the first kernel for 4.2.2 and that's why I put it up instead. I know we can use the boot.img from thunderzap too but if I'm not specific enough most of the noobs wont understand. I also chose that kernel because it comes with a recovery so then you can just flash other kernels via cwm.
Complicated - with properly installed drivers you can start flashtool with usb-cable plugged in. After clicking the flash icon choose "Reboot into fastboot mode (via ADB)".
When the phone is in fastboot mode (blue led) choose "Select kernel to flash". No need to turn off the phone and play with cable and vol-down button...

Sorry for noob question, but in step 9, can I skip the flashing "phantom_modules.zip" part and keep the stock kernel?

Ignore this. I thought it was CWM only. I should have researched more before installing this. But I installed it and it is working good.

Return to stock and try again. There's a guide to flash stock rom here somewhere. You can search for it.

Flash any (4.2.2) stock rom and try again. That's why your WiFi probably isn't working. Either that or you didn't flash the kernel zip file (ex thunderzap4.1.zip) after fast booting the kernel img.

WiFi now working
I am also facing the same issue where wifi is not working on any Rom. So after following the steps mentioned earlier. What exactly should be done like boot to recovery then flash gapps and then reboot. Once booted flash boot.img from the Rom and then boot to recovery to flash the full kernal zip package..?

I have a HUGE problem. Please help me ASAP!
I just flashed my Xperia L to CM 12.1. I was already on CM 12 before. So I went into recovery, wiped everything and installed the new ROM from zip. Everything worked fine except for the network signal. I was getting no network signal at all. So, when I rebooted the phone, I saw that the ThunderZap kernel was also removed. I tried to flash the kernel using flashtool, but this particular variant has 2 .img files (bootlp and bootkk). I flashed them both using the FlashtTool. Now, when I reboot my phone, all I see is the ThunderZap logo. Please help me ASAP, as this is my only primary driver phone.

[Q] install firmware via fastboot mode

Hi community,
A few days ago, I suchsessfully rooted my Xperia L. After that, I made a few little changes (full Titanium backup [just in case], uninstalled some bloatware etc...). Then I wanted to reboot the device. But when i try to boot again after shutdown, it never finishes this process. It stucks at the boot animation with the colurd fogs forever (stopped it after 8 hours). Boot in to Fastboot Mode is still possibe.
So now I just want to install a clean frmware to fix this.
1. Where can I find an official ROM and could there be complications with flashtool?
(2. Are there any Custom ROMs? I thought about CyanogenMod, there are some tutorials, but on freexperiaproject xpera l isn't supported?!)
Thanks
Your device is in bootloop , So you will need to download a ftf firmware and flashtool and then flash the firmware .. There is one thread for firmwares in xda , download from it

Fastboot, Flashtool. Just got a little bit confused.
Anyway: Thanks for both replies!
Is there a difference between C2104 and c2105? And why is this >700 mb? Android 2.3 was ~100mb...

2104 & 2105 doesn't really matter..
It's just the radio frequencies that the devices support.
Please hit the THANKS BUTTON instead of saying. It means a lot for us! [emoji4]

Soo... I've got problems with the drivers.
All drivers should be installed. But it doesn't work and I'm unable to install them. Any idea how to fix this?
Connect your device, go to device manager and uninstall any drivers related to your device, reboot and try again installing the drivers.
Also make sure your device isn't connected while installing drivers and try running with administrator rights!
I recommend: AOSPA Legacy 4.4-Final
I tried it now on my Netbook/Win 7 starter. All drivers installed successfully and device is connected in fastboot mode. I don't now why Windows 8.1. refuses the drivers...
@vmfj90: Thanks. But why?
(btw: theres no flashable zip yet. And Im unable to boot into cwm recovery or so)
So I flashed the C2104_15.3.A.1.12_India.ftf. [How long does the boot process should last?]
Worked.

Windows 8.1 refuses the drivers because of Driver Signature Enforcement!
It's for security!
You should disable it before installing the driver!
Here, is a guide on how to disable [email protected]

Provide a log
Maybe you install CM 12.1 Nightlies or other CM rom and then you tried to back stock ftf? Am I right?
I hv same problem, from cm to stock
Edit: i just reinstall Flashtool to older version 0.9.11.0 , and now it work
right..this causes the problem?
Same thing for me here, when Unlocking the bootloader, I had a bootloop, so I had to flash my device with Flashtool (0.9.19.8) with the same FTF file, worked normally. ( Xperia L C2105).
I flashed my devices on CM13 ( Resurrection Remix Marshmallow), everything worked fine.
2 days later, I wanted to go back to the Stock ROM using Flashtool ==> ERROR... flashing. aborted.
On the internet, they basically talk about drivers problem or flashtool version ..... nothing worked for me.
A serious help is needed here.
EDIT: I used the 0.9.11.0 and it worked for me too.
It worked !!!!

Flashing the stock using latest flashtool worked for me.
I was having an old version on my computer and had used it many times to flash stock. It used to work fine without any issues.
Lately, I installed CM 12.1 but was having issues with it. When I tried to flash stock using the same flashtool version, somehow it didn't work anymore. I knew ftf file was fine, because I've successfully flashed it before. So I removed the old flashtool and installed the latest version.Installed all drivers again. First time, it didn't work. But after restarting the computer and on running it again, flashing was successful. I think a restart of the system is necessary for the drivers to install properly. So if your flashtool didn't work the first time, a restart may do the trick.Make sure you do a restart before trying another version.
