T-Mobile UK ICS update - HTC Sensation

Hi Guys
As all of you owners of a UK T-Mobile HTC sensation will be aware we still have no update to ICS.
Now i have been a T-Mobile customer for over 6 years now and this has been the same with all the HTC devices i have had. As a network the will not provide updates for there customers. HTC release many updates and T-Mobile will only take on a minimum amount of these updates. I as a customer do not think this is acceptable. Especially that i am paying them my hard earn money every months.
This seems to have always been the trend with T-mobile UK as I worked for them for over 4 years. And updates for devices were few and far between. It seems that this is not just down to HTC handsets. As i recently also purchased a new contract with the Samsung Galaxy SII and again no update to ICS.
I think the only way we can look to get this changed is by putting more pressure on them to provide the updates that manufactures provide them with. As from my experience working for them they do get the updates but chose not to release them. I know this may just sound like a rant and it really is. I just want to see if we can rally as a community and put the pressure on T-Mobile to release the updates we crave so much.
So I am looking to see if as a community we will as one customer they will ignore but the can not ignore thousands of customers all wanting the same things. So we need to hit there social networks ( Facebook , Twitter ) and there forums to try and get this changed.
I am happy to front this movement to get the updates we deserve. I just need more T-Mobile customers to join me and help me change how T-Mobile treats there customers.
Thanks
Jonathan

It's being pushed now...
Android 4.0.3
HTC Sense 3.6
Software 3.32.110.11
Baseband 11.69A.3504.00U_11.23.3504.07_M2
John

I am seriously considering whether to renew my contract with T-Mobile next upgrade for this reason alone. This and my last t-mobile phone have been months behind with updates.

This has always been the case with them. I know they get the updates as in the past i have sent my phone to there repair centre and it has come back with more up to date release. If we can get them enough people to put pressure on them , I am sure we can get them to change this. As at the end of the day we are there customers and we give them our hard earned cash every month.

This is why I don't look to T-Mobile for upgrades. Thank God for XDA and the developers. Thanks to them we can enjoy the newest and updated operating systems, firmwares, and roms. Thanks to the developers we are not denied these things. I remember waiting on tmobile , then I decided to Root. I'm very happy with my decision. One can grow old waiting for tmobile.....we are very lucky to have a site like xda. I'm very happy I no longer wait for T-Mobile! Waiting can be frustrating! I completely understand your anger. I personally have given up on t mobile's support .... I went the other route . Rooting , custom roms. I just got tired of waiting.

Me too but would be nice to know that my service provider who i pay money to is willing to support a phone i buy. Why cant they just leave it stock and not fill it full if bloatware . That way we can have the updates direct from the manufacturer. We then dont get all the crap that they find in necessary to add, which also no one is ever going to use. I pay good money to them so expect that the should provide me with the service to back it up.

OK so i thought i would ask T-mobile UK via twitter why they dont provide updates like HTC does. This was my response :
"Hi Jonathan, we don't get any info on updates until they are available on the network. Sorry."
Is it me or is this just a pathetic response, in other words they have no idea and not bothered about finding out why.
What do people think to the response ???

Dev phones available!

Google announced that they're making unlocked developer phones available. No sim lock, unlocked bootloader and all that.
http://code.google.com/android/dev-devices.html
$399 + $25 dev registration fee, with free shipping.
Oh, and check out the back cover
http://android.brightstarcorp.com/images/placeholders/dev3.jpg
Awesome! I am assuming Google will be doing separate OTA updates for the dev phones. That will be nice to have as well for existing rooted phones.
About time!
You can use any SIM in the device and can flash custom Android builds that will work with the unlocked bootloader. Unlike the bootloader on retail devices, the bootloader on the Android Dev Phone 1 does not enforce signed system images.

Are they referring to the htc bootloader?
Is it possible to extract the data from these phones and use them on non-dev phones? Or am I asking a stupid question?
Yes. Per swetland on freenode/#android, it has the htc engineering bootloader.

Possibly.. we'll have to wait and see
I’d be really interested in where they’ll ship the handsets from…
The price is good, but if they ship it from the US, I’d have to pay VAT (19%), import taxes and shipping which would result in the package being 100$+ more expensive :-/
If they'd be able to ship them from inside the EU on the other hand, I'd immediately order one
Can I order one. I'm from Vietnam.
Who have G1 dev version please write a review, I want to know about battery life
at last what i was Emailing on Daily Basis.
Infact i was insisting them to release Developer Edition of Firmware
But they have come with Device
this is sweet...im gonna try to sell my current g1 and buy the dev one.
I buy the cover from a struggling dev
I'd give 25$ +shipping for that back cover with that funky bullsh1t on the back, looks 'leet
and donate sumthin to a dev, id also offer mine to replace...
its kinda just a joke but if anybody wants to take me up on it when they get one of these badboys, with the recent nand dump, we can now just dump the bootloader on the make nicenice with the devs phone and repalce our stock boot with it and whammo, RUN ANYTHING? and flash it to the handset, debian, ubuntu mobile, WM, even custom android could I say "distrubutions?
wholly open source tmobile , BatMan... If Im wrong please let me know but this seems like goog or andy or whomever is sympathetic to the plight of the enslaved tmobile G1s
bhang
This is in google's best interest. They want android to be a success, and in order to do that, atleast the most effective way to do that, is to give devolpers the most open of a door as possible to the system.
The big stick-in-the-mud as far as root goes has always been t-mobile. telcoms don't want people to have full control of their device.
The only thing surprising about this to me is that they didn't introduce the g1 with this edition as well.

Well I can safely say, t-mobile employees aren't trained well enough, and they basically said that there is no way to updrade or downgrade firmware's, and rc 30 was "perfect", litterally.
well....not all t-mobile employees...
im a t-mobile employee, and from my experiences since september 23, have been that most of the people around me know their way around the device from a retail consumer standpoint. you cant assume that general customer care or even tier 1 tech support knows as much as the people that read/post here.
just looking out for my collegues....

well, I don't fully agree. There are a number of employees that should be deemed legally retarded, but just because they are a t-mobile employee doesnt mean they should know how to work the phone. From a t-mobile standpoint, the rc-30 is the perfect (for now) as its a non-root that has no known security holes, htc I doubt would care one way or the other, and google would probably prefer completely open hardware (see the dev phones).
What would you want to know from a t-mobile employee about this phone that they can't answer?
You have to remeber, they don't design the phone, they don't hack the phone, they just sell airtime. So they have no reason to know alot of things that we find out, since they don't attempt to.
That is true I work in cs for VZW, I should probably have rephrased that the tier 2 tech ppl, especially the g1 support line have no clue how to work the g1. And the PDA/Smartphone tier 2 ppl say it's "perfect", and also have no clue how to work it, either. I called litterally everyone I could find a contact for to find a way to downgrade from RC30. HTC got mad and gave the # for cs at t-mobile. Google sent me to google.com/support. G1 suport sent me to HTC and PDA/Smartphone support, or told me they had no clue.

So you have one small problem... Tell me something since you say you work cs at VZW... do you think anyone at your company would tell you how even if you could? Do you really think they would handle any support about how to upgrade or downgrade software on any of their smartphones? Last I checked VZW was the worst when it comes to smart phones by locking out GPS and other functions unless you pay, and only allowing their phones on the network.
So far when I have called up I have got nothing but good results. Even if the problem couldn't be completely fixed over the phone they have always compensated me (I got about 40 dollars off my next bill)
And yea their CS department can't do much on the tech side... but I have gotten to Tier 3 numerous times on other devices and always been satisfied.

I don't care, I tell ppl what they need to hear not what they want to hear, yes I tell them things that aren't official. And I tell them google is their friend. Since I'm flex pay, they dn't care about keeping me there, I've been on my own acct since the G1 came out, that's the whole reason I switched from the Iphone. That thing about the GPS is only true on regular phones, the PDA/Smartphones/Blackberry's are a whole diff story. I'm also quitting that job soon, due to me being tired of screwing ppl oer the phone.
Woo! I've ordered my dev phone. Now I need to get rid of my G1. Luckily I can still take it back to t-mob for a refund (tomorrow is the last day though). I thought I would offer it to you guys first though. It's unlocked and has modified RC30 of course. I'll let it go for $400, including free shipping. If no-one says they want it by tomorrow at noon, it's going back to t-mobile. I'll even sign it if you want
Update: taken back to the t-mobile store. got a full refund, no restocking fee or anything. So I'll only be out about $20-25 for the dev phone.. got $430 back for the G1 and $455 for the dev phone ($400 + $25 market fee + $30 tax)
does anybody know if the credit card address can be different from the shipping address?
I'd love to be able to use the reasonable "free" shipping to the US and have a friend bring it over on his next visit to germany

Speed up s-off (unlocked bootloader) update

Hi guys, posted it in some thread but thought it would be a good idea to have a separate thread for it.
Facebook and Twitter is the only way to speed up unlocked bootloader process guys. You want publicity, not private conversation. So it's quite pointless emailing htc, we had a win, now we need to make sure that potential customers are aware that HTC is taking it's time in keeping their word, so they hold back on the purchase. If sales figures drop, HTC will pull the finger out and will HAVE to do something about it. PUBLICITY. REPUTATION. SALES. That's what we need to address. Make sure that you mention that even average Joe which doesn't want root can be affected, as if company doesn't keep up to promises, they do it to EVERYONE. Mention that they lied about Desire getting GB (well, calling it lie is exaggerating a bit, but we want to make it look bad, and I hope you heard the news), so average Joe can't expect to have his HTC phone to be up to date for the whole length of the contract (normally 24month in UK). Make customers think before buying, even if takes only one week for all the customers to decide, HTC will definitely notice it, and will realize what sort of impact small group of unhappy customers can cause.
Also, as a lot of us hang out in other forums (i still pop in to Desire forum now and again), i suppose we could start threads there with links to this one, or just quoting it, so we get a lot more people to help us (we are a small group of Sensation owners in the end of the day). I do believe that even Sammy, LG, MOTO etc. owners will be sympathetic to our cause and will help us to become louder.
If anyone thinks this thread is pointless, feel free to mention it to mods. Only sharing my thoughts
you're a genius ...
definitely not pointless - we need to get the word out. 5 minutes of time to protect our investments is not much to ask.
I've been spamming their facebook page since about two weeks ago. It's extremely annoying to see their rep. respond to some dumb pic post, while ignoring real issues. I didn't expect an unlocked bootloader by now, but I do expect some kind of update.
HTC said that the desire would be getting a gingerbread update, then turn around and announce that it wasn't possible. Are they doing the same with the bootloader? I also don't understand why the ceo would comment specificallyon the evo 3d, but not the sensation. I understand that online support has said that were getting an unlocked bootloader, but who knows. It's been a month, they could easily give an update. If something isn't done/said in the next ten days, this phone is going back to Wal-Mart.
Hell, if it was just the bootloader pissing me off, then I'd be ok. At this point, I can hardly get on the browser because the data keeps locking up. I'm starting to regret selling my g2x. I'm very close to going back to my hd2 for a few days so I can actually use my phone without wanting to throw it against the wall.

Something seems to be working, now HTC says GB is comming for the Desire
http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/15/htc-pulls-a-180-now-says-gingerbreads-coming-to-desire/
Which is bull****. One day they day it isn't possible, then the next day it is. That alone proves that they'll lie. Did they lie about the bootloader just to stop the constant spamming a few weeks ago?

Seeing that they did a U-turn on GB update for Desire makes me even more suspicious. WHY? You either can do it or you can't, so why announce one thing and then change your mind? Cheap PR? Don't get it.... I see things like that as a big fat MINUS to HTC.

With the phone off, press power and volume down at the same time. It will boot into hboot. At the top of that screen it will Eng S-off or S-on
I've been on the htc boat for a couple of years now and one things 4 shure, htc makes good phones, but it seems like they don't know how 2 listen 2 their customers. If they carry on acting and behaving in the future like they used 2 do, then the excistens of htc fades out. The whole idea of google and android is open source, that will say people like us are the developers and we can't develop and beeing be innovative if we don't have the tools to work with. Unlocked phones is a must.

[Q] Anyone else got a Call from HTC about leaving unhappy feedback from emails.

Ok I just got a random call from some guy from HTC, said his name was Eric but would not give a last name. He wanted to "follow up" on me saying I was unhappy about the whole S-Off/Bootloader thing. I he kept skirting the question of "Are we going to get out bootloaders unlocked or not?" He finally told me that they were waiting on Corporate to let "Them" know WHEN they would be unlocked, so I asked him to confirm that he just said at some point they would be unlocked, and he back tracked really fast and said IF they would be unlocked, and his dept. did not expect to know anything for a "month or two", but HTC was watching Twitter and Facebook and know the customers are unhappy, and they strive to make thier customers happy...yada ..yada..yada....I told him at this point a simple Yes or No would make me happy, but we all know I didn't get that either. So has anyone else got a call from "Eric" or one of his friends over at HTC? Maybe if they work together they can find thier asses from a hole in the ground!
I honestly feel bad for Eric. Low level outbound call center representative. His whole job is centered around contacting angry customers and trying to pacify their concerns without giving straight answers (which he probably doesn't even truly have).
I'm glad you didn't claim to tear him a new asshole or anything. Bottom line, let's hope the bootloaders are unlocked soon and Eric can take a breather right along with us.

No actually I was very nice to him. I even told him I was frustrated at the situation and NOT at him and I felt bad for him too. I think it is a shame HTC has hung these poor people out to dry with no real answers for anyone. I really would hate to have his job right now.
Well that's good! Although when I worked in a call center, if the person I was taking to sounded like a cute girl, it made my job so much better

I don't believe that they will open the bootloader
.
It's been now almost two months since the first Sensation hit the market on 19th May. We all want to believe the unconfirmed rumours (on FB, Twitter, but non on any official HTC site or document) that they will open the Bootloader, first for new handsets and then to us who have already got the unit.
The fact that there are some S-OFF unit circling around just shows that they know how to do it, but are not willing to roll it over to us.
I have lost all faith in HTC in this matter and now rely on those wonderful and talented developers to crack it.
.
Hi Chaps,
I've been having an issue with the signal on my phone, am now on my 4th Sensation..
I was on the phone to a really helpful chap at HTC and we were discussing exchanging my vodafone branded handset for an unbranded one (was never going to happen) but then I asked about rooting and unlocking the bootloader.
He went and had a chat with a colleague and came back and said that when the bootloader is unlocked, I will be able to flash the non branded firmware.
Rooting will void warranty, but flashing another firmware will be fine.
He confirmed this with another colleague, but as far as I can see, we will DEFINITELY get unlocked bootloader.
He didn't know when, but he didn't feel it would be too long to wait now!
Sorry for the off topic - though it is related...
I received a call from HTC from leaving a negative review from a survey they sent to me regarding an email I received from customer support. Basically said the same thing about the bootloader but did know about the temporary root for the Sensation. I guess that they are watching the dev. forum.

Of course they know what to do. They knew since day one. It's their device and their bootloader. IMO the problem are the carriers. HTC knows that people are unhappy with the locked bootloader policy and that they have to give their customers what they want or else there will be consequences. But on the other hand they have to keep the carriers happy. I believe they will leak the way and let the devs do the rest
Same here! I have faith that they will figure it out. )
No not off topic really. I was just really shocked when I got the call from HTC. I really did not expect to hear from them. Like I said I felt bad for the guy, but I feel that they should at least give us a yes or no. For that I have lost alot of faith in the company.

Really ? There's doubt in your mind that they don't know "HOW" to do it ? Ever occur to you that THEY are the ones that wrote the software for the bootloader and have every line of code for it available ? LOL
It was never a question of IF they know how to do it, it's a question of WHEN they'll decide to release the unlocked bootloader. It's politics, not technical know-how. Rest assured, they have plenty of that. LOL

Comment I left for HTC regarding the boot loader

The Evita has been available for nearly 3 months now. Is AT&T going to allow sanctioned bootloader unlocking? Was there any indication that after a period of time, the phone would be unlock able via HTC Dev? I'm considering selling my One X and never buying an At&T subsidized phone again, You are trying to come across as development friendly, but alas your flagship device sold in the United States is not unlock able.
Please advise without a canned response about carrier restrictions. I know all about that answer, I'd like a straight yes or no on this question please.
Lets see what I get in response
knowing the good folks at HTC you'll get the carrier crap...
heres to hoping tho
here's an idea, which is always fun. play the carrier against the manufacturer.
when they say its the carrier, go to the carrier and ask them, when each other blames it on each other, show them that's what going on. they hate.
Back when the phone launched I,along with a few other people filed complaints against AT&T with the BBB they went nowhere.

HTC is committed to listening to users and delivering customer satisfaction. Since announcing our commitment to unlockable bootloaders, HTC has worked to enable our customers to unlock the bootloader on more than 45 devices over the past six months. In some cases, however, restrictions prevent certain devices from participating in our bootloader unlocking program. Rest assured, HTC is committed to assisting developers in unlocking bootloaders for HTC devices and we'll continue to unlock additional devices in the future. That is the truth. It's AT&T's fault. Start emailing them.
When I first got my phone and they gave me the generic customer satisfaction text I left negative feedback. If you leave below a certain score they will ask you why you wouldn't recommend the phone. I mentioned the bootloader and bloatware, as well as lack of Wallet support.
Don't bother contacting AT&T. If it truly is AT&T forcing HTC to keep the bootloader locked then the sad reality is those of us that like to tinker are an extremely small minority in their portfolio. AT&T couldn't care less about appeasing us and, from a business standpoint, I don't blame them. Us tinkerers are the ones that install the Asian ROM and create a portable hotspot for an 8 hour drive down the state so their kids can stream Netflix on the iPad in the backseat, soaking up precious bandwidth that AT&T would like to charge me a boatload for. Totally random example, wasn't me last week.

There may be more of us than you think. AT&T is about to give up on the added tethering plans for certain users. The new shared data family plans include tethering. You just pick your data cap and go.
Even though I've got grandfathered unlimited data, I may go for this when it's available. Adding up data totals for the three smartphones I'm paying for, we'll still save some money and get "free" tethering.
I feel the exact same way Gunny. My Nexus One was my first smart phone, and obviously, my first HTC. I had such a good experience, I went straight back to HTC for my next phone (this one) but it's clear now that the Nexus One was an anomaly in HTC's history. I'm thinking its going to be Nexus or Samsung devices only for me from now on. Not sure how much longer I can hold out with this device. If the damn camera wasn't so awesome I would have sold it months ago. =(

HTC can't do anything, it's not their fault. You should be contacting AT&T, not HTC.
im new to this phone so sorry if this is a noob question, but i rooted my phone and im assuming i unlocked the bootloader as im running cleanrom, to me the process was fairly easy to do, so whats the reason behind needing HTC to officially support unlocked bootloaders? will it give us the ability to do something more or make it easier to unlock?

I have no idea. Either way it does affect yor warranty, so I'm not sure why others dont use the CID mod to unlock.
We need a sanctioned method to unlock because the method we have now is not going to work on 2.2.0 and we should not have to scramble like iphone jailbreakers on supposedly open android whenever there's a software update

The One X is Android? It's so locked down, I could have sworn it was made by Apple.

Exactly

Why HTC treats its US customers with no respect?

I'm just feeling disappointed as HTC does not treat customers with respect and it's not offering what every other phone makers would offer - a type c to 3.5mm converter and an accurate release date, which are both costless but important to customers.
I've been a fan of HTC since I got my HD2 many years ago, but this year I'm kind of disappointed with their attitude to its fans.
I am in Canada and is like the US , I still waiting mine.
Actually, I didn't want to react to it at all. But from what you've said, I have to write it ironically. You already had $100 discount codes, we Europeans didn't even have anything like an HTC Club. You already received promotional gifts when we didn't even know there was such a thing from HTC. You didn't open your mouths back then and said all fans should get the same options/discounts, so don't complain now that things are going the other way around. Honestly: everything balances out in life, and now we have just drawn the lucky one.
In general I say here in all frankness, just leave this America first attitude at home, and think sensibly for once. It is fair that we finally enjoy the benefits that you have enjoyed for years. This year it's just Europe first. Maybe there will come a time when it will again be the other way around.

Seriously this is pretty melodramatic because you had to wait a few extra days to get a phone.. HTC never made any promises about the release date to any country. Some regions of Europe got it early, lucky them. HTC doesn't owe you ****.
Knowing HTC phones and US carriers I can almost guarantee that HTC is taking every second it can before shipping to the US to ensure full compatibility with Verizon, T-Mo, and AT&T. There have been issues with the past couple of HTC phones so it makes sense they are trying to get it right.
I am eagerly awaiting my day one pre-order too, but it will get here when it gets here. HTC isn't treating you unfairly or discriminating against you.

Hi, I think you mistook what I said. The $100s coupons and gifts are what European customers get, not American or other regions' users. There's no HTC Club in the U.S but Europe.
I didn't mean US should get everything first. Actually I'm not American. I live and work in the US at the moment though. And I don't think I have the US first attitude.
The reason why I thought the phone would be released in the U.S first is that HTC held MeetU events in the U.S. first. I went to the one in SF and had an opportunity of getting hands on the phone, and at that time when I placed my order it said June 7th would be the release date.
I'm just feeling disappointed as HTC does not treat customers with respect and it's not offering what every other phone makers would offer - the converter and an accurate release date.
Amazon.com has had a solid release date this whole time. Originally, it was June 7 when HTC said the U12+ would ship in June. Now, Amazon says June 21 when HTC now says will ship in July. As for your other questions, HTC barely has a presence in the US anymore. When Samsung took over the market share, HTC stopped being carried in US stores (besides Sprint for the U11... and 10? I forget). I personally just don't think the US is a major priority for HTC anymore. Without being in stores, it's really difficult to move units... And maybe they stopped trying to get into US stores because it was costing more than the profit they were actually making before? The same thing happened with Blackberry. They've been struggling (as we all know) and haven't been in all US carriers either.

the only reason they arnt a main flagship carrier in the US is because of bad/lack of advertising while samsung constanly has consistent S series phone line while HTC has been all over the place with naming of phones and Samsung runs ads on television and youtube constanly, HTC just needs better marketing out in the US market, also my few cents here but can all the EU/Germany people cool down when someone from US posts they have a right in their own country to speak freely no matter how you may view their thoughts, so plz be respectful, all the original poster was saying how he feels that germany and all the EU markets are getting the phones first when the US market still hasnt gotten theirs still and even im kinda sad about that as well, it has nothing to do with entilement it has to do with a sense of fairness

Amazon still says June 21 for ship date - I just checked- at least in the US

USA is one of the regions where HTC U12+ was earliest announced and the SF and NYC MeetU events were the first two chances where fans had the opportunity of getting hands on the new phone. I thought HTC would treat US customers seriously, but by now it has done everything to make us unhappy instead.
1. European fans have been receiving their phones since last week or earlier, but in the US there's not even an accurate date.
2. European HTC Club members enjoy a fairly good discount, while US TeamHTC members get nothing at all.
3. European HTC Club members get a types-c to 3.5mm converter for free, but US customers will have to buy one by their own...
I really can't understand HTC's marketing strategy. At least it should treat all customers equally, right?

Before I cancelled my preorder, I was to pay £629 with the HTC club discount. With a quick search online, $799.99 is £608. So that pays for the free dongle we get.
As for customer support, my bank card was cloned, and HTC have been just about useless helping me change it to my new card, so I won't get my preorder at all, so I cancelled it. At least I emailed them to cancel it and they haven't replied.
I agree customers should be treated equally where possible, but unfortunately HTC are almost sunk and doesn't seem they have the means to do so anymore.

There seems to be a missunderstanding between the two of you. The HTC Club discount for the U12+ is the first discount many countries have ever gotten in Europe. The US, on the other hand, got several discounts and gifts*, in the past. That's what @5m4r7ph0n36uru is referring to.

this shouldn't be any surprise, HTC is pulling out of the US market...no longer carried by any of the carriers & not even supported on Sprint. HTC canned most of their US employees.
Enjoy a new HTC product in the US while you can, the end is near!

I think the network situation is gonna get better with tmobile/sprint merger as everyone has moved to GSM from CDMA and sprint is the last remaining CDMA carrier so i only expect things to get better after its finalized as i used to be on sprint and am happy with tmobile, i didnt make the move right away tho i tried at&t/criket wireless and it sucked and turned out to be more expensive when u want data, where tmobile im part of a company plan and get "unlimited" data where i only got slowed down if i needed to tether from an isp internet outage and was downloading games from steam but when i was it was usable after that still and phone call coverage wise its more usable than when i was on sprints, also are you gonna be making a debloated rom OMJ for this phone really liked the bad boyz rom for when i had the M7 when i had sprint?

Thanks @Flippy498 for clearing that one up. It's exactly what I wanted to state. Didn't want to attack anyone personally, or things like that. Just help clearing up what has been the case for years and is seemingly changing currently.

I don't think you meant Flinny.... I don't have a u12+ and currently am not planning on getting one. Not that I don't like the look of it but 24 month contracts...... and I have no REAL need for a new phone yet, at least enough to warrant buying one outright

The problem is no one at Amazon knows where the June 21 date came from. It's never been in stock to begin with!

If they don't ship next week. I'll cancel and move to something else.

Well, every person I spoke to there said they never had it in stock. In any event, all we can do is wait.
