[edit] Sorry I checked the QR code before I'd post it. But here is a link to the free version Magic Point Lite [/edit]
I love this style of game! I'm going to try this out for you ASAP.
Personally I prefer desktop market links. I can click on install on my PC and have it on my phone before I even pick it up!
Edit: I just beat all 10 levels. Needs moar challenge (or a timer to see who can finish them fastest!)
As far as presentation goes I'm giving you a 9/10. Fantastic job on the minimalist design. Gameplay could be made more interesting if you only flashed the images on screen for a second each. That would be a memory challenge as well. Still I'd give you a 8/10 in that category. Content is a little limited, I don't know if it's expended in the full version. Thanks for sharing!
Comments
I've reviewed the free version.
I agree with k4p741nkrunch.
The levels are a bit too easy. They don't become much harder during the first 10 levels.
A timer or something to compete with others would be a addition to the game.
Please enable the wakelock, so the phone doens't falls back to the lockscreen when you're not paying attention to the game.
I like the design, maybe it would be nice if the user could select the preferred color.
The game play is also good, very simple an smooth.

Yes, it doesn't work that well on QVGA(Wildfire) devices. I can press one of them, and it'll come with a toast. But if it's correct, I can't press the Next Level button(at least, i guess it tries to tell me "Next Level")
That's what I can see on my wildfire, I can't press the text, and those dots need to be a little bit higher(I discovered that is for next/previous level).
Also I'd like auto-advance to the next level when it's correct.
fifarunnerr, thanks for feedback. I will fix it soon.

you're very clever I will think about new hardest levels
We have released new version 1.1.0.
What's new:
- Wakelock has added
- Russian UI has added
- Some bugs on QVGA-devices were fixed
I got the paid version. 10 levels is too short (I imagine it'll expand). It took me about 2 minutes to finish (I got 8 of them right on the first try).
It would be awesome if in later levels it also included abstract reasoning questions beyond those dots. Spatial reasoning questions would also be great.
I Agree with Tricky-Design, custom color background would be awesome, specially if there is true black for those of us with OLED screens (SGS).
Looking forward for further updates
PS I also expected for the game to automatically forward me to the next level after I successfully complete a puzzle. It's a bit weird to have to tap the arrow.
Thanks for your suggestions We will add more levels in next version.

I could only get the Lite version, but I enjoyed it. I would also love to see harder levels as the game progresses, and I too was expecting it to advance me to the next level already, but it's a very good start to a cool game. My only suggestion would be to have a scoring system of some sort, maybe based on the amount of tries(and/or time) it takes to solve the puzzle.
I did not encounter any bugs or glitches with this game, if it helps. Played on a rooted Droid Eris running Gingerbread 2.3.4 (GSB3.5).
prsguitaruser, thanks I already think about new levels. Automatic next level will be in next version, thanks for this suggestion.
I have released new version 1.2.0:
- New 10 levels
- Auto-run of next level after a completion of previous level

Easy to learn, hard to master. The concept is simple, remove all the blox from the board to move on. The challenge comes when not every block acts the same way.
Over 70 levels and 7 different and fun BLOX types (With more on the way)
Any feedback is welcome, good or bad. If you have any questions about the development process / time frames, let me know. I would be happy to answer.

Game was updated with performance fixes.
Anyone give this a shot yet?
v.1.0.3
Added a feature request, Grid Option! to toggle through 3 different Grids, Full, Border, and Off
Fixed a bug causing the game to force close in rare cases on exit.
Brilliant game, keep on it mate.
Sent from my Arc via transwarp beacon.
Well , I just saw this thread, just installed it, and just tried the game.
And I must say, it's amazing! Simple yet entertaining, just the way I like it.
My guess is it will be very popular soon!
Tested on Galaxy S2, ICS ROM, works flawlessly, didn't encounter any errors, or FCs, although I didn't get past the 4th level ( feeling sleepy )
My experience and opinions, criticism and whatnot
+ The game starts up very fast!
+ The transitions are really nice in the world/level picker.
+ Music is really nice and not too boring, though I would prefer something jazzy
and slower ingame ( a lot of clouds )
maybe something like : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nf8FCLT8S6A
+ Help is drawn pretty nice, although it should point out that you need at least 3
blocks together for them to dissapear
+ text Font is awesome and fits well, so does the rest of the graphics
+ I love the concept of the game, nothing simillar out there
+ Block animations are awesome too
- I dont like preview thumbnails on level picker, they all look the same, maybe
some nice icons or something ?
- I didn't check the other worlds yet nor levels past the 4th but it seems they all
have the same 3 clouds + sun background. It got boring after 2 minutes
Maybe night/day cycle or something, shouldnt be too hard Would even look
nicer with a moon there and a dark background
Maybe the preview thumbnails will look better when the levels have different
backgrounds
Gonna play with it tommorow some more and edit this post if I find something that I like/don't like
Great job mate! Cheers!
Edit : Added smilies to the post, it wouldn't add the first time for some reason

Amazing feedback, thanks!
As to your light criticisms, I am in the process of trying to incorporate a more friendly level structuring. As in, you won't have to just play 1 level until you beat it, you will have more levels open to you. And part of this process might be changing the menu system around.
As far as the graphics go, you may be SHOCKED to learn, but I did all the graphics myself, hehe
It probably doesn't need to be said, but I am no good at graphics, my idea would be to make each world look different, so you are not looking at the same thing all the time. But drawing things that don't hurt people's eyes is very tough.
I had originally considered making the game go to night time, you may not have noticed, but the sun actually moves. And when it gets to the other side, it just switches back. At that point I wanted to make it moonlight, but I couldn't draw anything that didn't make my eyes bleed. But you have convinced me to keep trying.
I will keep at it though, thanks for the info.

Thanks for the support,
I am working on a big update. Probably due out next week, or the week after. So get your feature requests / suggestions in!
Very clever game, I like how the difficulty varies from level to level.
Sometimes I think a level is too hard, and then I realize it only took 2 moves.
I will also mimic the above poster and say you need a help screen that shows you only need 3+. took me a few seconds to realize that on my own.

Well I thought that too, until I took a closer look and it actually says 3+ on top of the help screen! Though not too many users will figure out what 3+ actually means

Maybe have another info screen on the second level showing the same thing but with just 3? Although it wasn't too hard for me to figure out on my own.
I am stuck on level 25, has to be impossible! I love the little tie-die looking dudes, neat mechanic.
Thanks for the kind words.
I am planning on updating how the level structure works, Anyone have any suggestions? I would like to implement a method in which you don't have to progress one level at a time. So if you get stuck, you have other levels open to keep on playing.
v.1.0.4
Updated the level order. I found too many people failing earlier, changed the levels to have a better difficulty curve.
Enjoy!

[FREE][GAME][Brain & Puzzle][2.2+] Pick Lock FREE
Hi guys,
Here is my new brain game Pick Lock.
Google Play link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.co.uk.dotstudio.PickLockFREE
The goal of this game is to match the target pattern using two actions - translation and rotation. The levels are generated randomly, so the player will face different challenges every time the game is started. The player needs to think ahead like in a game of chess. There is always a 'Key' button available, which shows a possible solution. Please read the 'Rules'. If the players hit wrong button there is an 'Undo' button, which goes one move back, and 'Init' button that clears the board. The 'Key' button is available only when the board is clear. The game features an original background music composed by Yordan Velichkov. The game does not have any competitive goals, but offers a relaxing atmosphere for players that want to exercise their minds. The free version features 30 levels with solutions starting from 1 to 4 moves.

This app is looking great but isn't the logic behind the game too simple ?
hi man,
thanks for feedback. yes the logic is simple in terms of user input. the resulted combinations are hundreds of thousands and that feature pleases me - simple input with complex results.
New update (1.0.2) is available now. The rules are described better, as suggested.
guys, are the levels too easy or too difficult? i was thinking about unlocking the moderate difficulty button and present 30 more random levels with 5 moves solutions.
downloaded the game and played a bit. lots of fun!
Hi guys,
I just decided to unlock all levels of the game and released version 1.0.3. Now 90 levels that are generated randomly every time you start the game are available. I hope that will bring more fun and downloads.
Thanks for the encouragement!
Love this game
Hi @dotstudio,
First impression - I love this game.
It's pretty, and clever.
The 1st few levels look too easy, but then when I tried medium I was confused by the puzzle...
So I went back to the beginning, and started moving through the levels quicker.
After finding that the 1st concept is introduced really slowly, I'm enjoying the way new concepts are introduced after that.
Totally love this game. :cyclops:
Thanks for giving it to us
Thanks @Hotfingers,
I was thinking of a reward system, where the user will have 1 key at the begining which can be used once to reveal a solution of one level and then will disappear. A new key will be obtained if the user solves a level with the exact or less number of moves the solution requires. So one can obtain 90 keys for all levels + 1 key that is given initially for total of 91 keys max. Of course that means that I need to also keep score and introduce some competitive goals...
Btw, thanks XDAdevelopers for the review of my game!!!
The game sound like fun but unfortunatley it does not work on my OneX with CM10.
I get to the loading screen but the the app closes down.
Graphic is incredible! Great work!
@Geggan I hope i will have more experience in the future to solve that kind of issues. If you still want to try the game it has a web version http://www.dotstudio.co.uk/game/

Hi alexx,
Also running CM10 and the app works OK. I think it depends on your handset.
The few CM10 versions I know are still "under development" - so maybe you can hold out a bit until yours gets a bit more stable..?
(I know CM10 is so fast compared to CM9 that no-one wants to go back after tasting 10)
Also you can try different kernels to see which ones make your phone more stable..?
Finally you can ask your CM10 team if they will test this app for you to see what's going wrong. If your CM10 is still under development this should not upset the team too much.
good luck

I still dont have the experience to give any advise on that issue. Since you are the second one that reports issues with CM10 I guess I have to put that in the app description.

Thanks glad you like it. Practise can really help get better high scores, one of the core aims was that to get good at the game you would have to play a little bit each day thus keeping your brain active, after a few days of practise it is really noticeable of a score improvement.
UPDATE V 1 . 1
New mode Ultra Hard, Buttons are no longer static in this new mode making even more of a challenge with button randomly swapping position.!
Update also contains layout improvements.
Please share and give feedback about colour guess
A very simple game, however, it does get complicated when the colour of the word and that of the block is different. Good work none the less!
If you could increase the time to select each block, it would really help the player.

Thank you for the kind words, yes it can get a bit complex but the more you play you can really notice the improvement of high scores. As for the timing I can give them a tweak, I did run a closed beta test with people of varied ages and felt I had worked out the correct amount of time for difficulties. I will continue to monitor this and most likely give more time especially in the new mode.

This is a fun game: the concept is really cool, and it can get pretty addictive. An interesting game mode might be to give the player more time at the beginning to pick the right color, and then speed up as the game continues. My only (pretty major) criticism is that it looks like there wasn't very much effort put into making the game look nice. For example, the main menu screen is poorly laid out: there's a lot of empty space, and I think the game could benefit from a nicer looking font. Overall, I think this is a great game, and if the visual presentation of the game matched the quality of the gameplay, it would be an outstanding game.

Thanks for the feedback, yes I am no graphic designer but I assure you a lot of effort went to the design, I was aiming for a simplistic look to the app but I look at trying to produce a higher quality. I have more modes planned for colour guess so a layout overhaul will be due to fit the extra modes in. I like the idea of the game mode, it's not the first time somebody has suggested it to me so i'll be sure to get a mode along those lines released with the other two new modes I have planned.
I really appreciate the kind words and the constructive feedback. Im still fairly new to android but have a passion to keep making content.

[GAME][2.3+] Flat Frenzy
Information
This is a game I've been working with on my free time for a couple of months and I've just released it on Play! It's a fast paced game consisting of a chain of minigames which increase in speed as you progress. The minigames are 3-5 seconds long and have very simple goals. After three wins the speed goes up, and it gets very challenging after a while! It's heavily inspired by the WarioWare series but adapted for touchscreens and with a simplistic, flat design. There are built in Google Play Leaderboards so you can compete against your friends and the rest of the world!
The game is free on Google Play and can be downloaded here. If you want to get the latest updates before anyone else and also help me developing the game, consider joining the Flat Frenzy Alpha group on Google+. This will enable you to get the alpha builds of the game and test out new features before anyone else.
More minigames and features are planned and will be released soon. However, don't hesitate to come with your own suggestions for new minigames or features, I want all the feedback I can get! Please also report any bugs in this thread or in an email to [email protected]

New version uploaded! This version brings a new minigame called "Pound". It should be live for everyone in a few hours.
Forgot to publish the leaderboards so they only worked for alpha testers. They have been published now though and should work for everyone!
I like it. But I thinks the graphics could look better. Shinier colors for example. And the shadow doesn't match with the flat design.
I think it has good potential and it feels like one of those game which makes you keep playing for longer than you had originally planned. It gets you frustrated when you lose (in a good way). I'm looking forward to more competition from more people in the leaderboards.

Thank you! Yeah, I agree it has the "I know I can do better, just one more time" feel to it. The number of people on the leaderboards is slowly increasing, and they're getting better and better scores too
New version!
Lots of sounds added! Sound effects for every minigame and arcade background music. These can be toggled in the settings. Also added a "Relax" minigame which will show up every now and then. It has no objective, you simply win automatically after 4 seconds. It's used for getting a small break mid-game where you can breathe or adjust your posture or something without having to pause.
Also fixed two bugs, one where the game would crash on some devices when entering settings, and one where the game would crash when pressing home button or switching to another application.
Please tell me what you think and what you'd like to see in the future! I'm open to all suggestions
Very nice game! Reminds me of Dumb Ways to Die, but the minigames show even more variety! One bug I encountered: when I click on Leaderboards, nothing happens.

I had that leaderboard bug before on my N7 and it was really weird. I believe it's a bug in the Google Play API because everything in my code was working fine. It was like the "connect" method of the Google Play API didn't do anything, no errors either, it was just like the function instantly returned. Anyway, I fixed it by rebooting my device and then it worked again which is even stranger!
Very fun, fast paced game so need to pay attention. Quite addicting
New version!
Changelog:
- New main menu!
- Added "Stats" button which shows your stats for all minigames.
- Added new minigame "Trap".
- Added more text to "About" section.
- Added a simple tutorial first time you play.
- Added an "are you sure?" dialog when "Main menu" button is pressed in pause menu.
- Fixed "Relax" not resetting between new games.
If you try it out, please let me know what you think! I see a lot more people on the leaderboards now which is awesome!
New version!
There is now a proper tutorial in the game. I also added symbols to give you a better hint on what to do for each minigame!
Changelog
- Added minigame "Jump!"
- Added arrows and tap symbols to all minigames to make the objective easier to understand.
- Added a tutorial the first time you hit "Play" which explains the new symbols (users that updated from an older version wont see this, please clear the data for the app if you wish to see the tutorial).
- Added an arrow to clearly show when the game speeds up.
- Made the pointer in "Set clock" easier to grab.
- Enabled anti-aliasing on text.
- Miscellaneous bug fixes.

A very short gameplay description:
“The Tower of Egbert” is a physics-based tower building game with a magic twist*.
Unlike in all the other building games I know of, you’re not restricted to using only a few elements to create a rather unspectacular building. Instead you may use several thousand blocks (bricks, arcs, roofs, deco items, …) to build quite impressive towers and discover interesting areas as you grow it towards the endless vastness of space.
You’ll have to fight gravity, winds, falling rocks, and other dangers on your way up.
Build the greatest tower ever and see if your tower can stand the test of time!
*you can build freely until you reach a certain height and activate the physics simulation. After a few seconds Egbert the Sorcerer will come to your aid and enchant/fix all the blocks built so far to ensure you can continue building safely

Thanks for your interest in the game, you've been added to the list of testers!
I've edited the original post to reflect the game's transition from the Alpha- to the open Beta-testing state (no need for joining requests anymore) so that I don't have to create a new thread for the same topic.
As stated above, the game is fully functional already, I just want to see if people are enjoying it.

Hi, in my experience it can take some time for the Google servers to recognize you as a tester. Hopefully it should work by now, could you please try again?
i want to try this ...
I've tested this game on Nexus 5 with Marshmallow with high quality graphics - in this case I would be glad to see a bit more fluent animations. Another suggestion might be support for gesture navigation in menu - like changing the worlds with a swipe, not just buttons. But I have to admit, these are just tiny negatives that don't hurt overall great experience and the whole idea. Thanks for The Tower of Egbert, it has become one of the three games on my phone

A big thank you for trying my game and for the feedback also! I'm glad you like it and I hope it can live up to your expectations and earn a permanent spot on your phone I know the game is a little demanding (unfortunately) performance-wise. That is mainly a result of the high resolution textures I had to use to allow for a huge zooming range.

no problem in downloading and installing ..
easy to download and install ..
Hi,
it's interesting game, thanks ang gl
i've tested it on Xperia Arc s lt18i.
everything was ok, as for gameplay only one thing was not convenient for me - "brick type" buttons looks too small, and sometimes when i tried to change brick type - new brick appears and falling down so, i guess it make sense to enlarge buttons and avoid space between them

Sorry, I somehow missed your reply Thanks for your feedback! As for the buttons: they are actually larger than they appear (transparent background) and they are almost adjacent to each other so I guess you must have been unlucky hitting exactly the tiny gap between the buttons.
"The Tower of Egbert" has officially been released! I simply edited the original post instead of creating a new thread.
For those of you that have already tried the game during the Alpha/Beta: a lot has changed since then (and the game got a lot easier - only 2 seconds instead of 5 for the timer), so you might wan't to give it another shot It's also possible to rate the game now, I would be glad if you supported me once more!
Interesting
Very interesting and original gameplay, nice work.

Thanks, I'm glad that you like the gameplay - and not only the looks
Loved your game. Nice game design and gameplay.
Really good work!
Thanks again for all the support! If you're looking for something interesting to do this week and want to win some nice stuff - I've started the first “Tower of the Week” challenge!
Whoever uploads a picture of his or her tower to my homepage (Upload Tower | Giggly Mill Productions) has a chance to win 1 out of 5 keys for the “Unlimited Deco Item” package in the game - it doesn't matter how your tower looks, don't be shy.
Also there will be one single tower that will be announced the “Tower of the Week”.
It will be displayed permanently in the Hall of Fame (Hall of Fame | Giggly Mill Productions). Additionally the winner can choose between a key for the premium version of the game (ads away, unlimited deco, and all worlds unlocked) and a letter with 36 handmade magnetic blocks that can be used on magnetic surfaces (I use them as fridge magnets as you can see on the photos).
This first challenge will stop on Sunday the 28th of February 23:59 CET. I will announce the winners on the day after - if there are some entries of course
Have fun!
Cool game. Like it.
