Update ROM from SD Card for Vox??

Hi there..
Is there a ROM updater/image for the Vox that can be loaded from the SD card (through bootloader or not) ?
It seems like usb connection on my Vox died. Can't get it to connect to anything and I've tried everything so far.
I can't upgrade/flash the ROM as I have no usb connectivity whatsoever.
It would much appreciated if somebody can point me in the right direction.

Format your card to FAT32
Rename an nbh-file from the official rom package (can be opened by winrar) to vox0img.nbh and copy to sd card, go to bootloader and follow the onscreen instructions.

Thanks, got the ROM upgraded from the SD card through the bootloader. worked like a charm.
Didn't fix my problem tho. Still a brick when it comes to connecting to any pc.

Hm we should add that version of flashing to the Wiki. If anybody does it again, could you take some good pictures when you're in the bootloader and the whole process there?? PLease

How do you enter Bootloader without using USB, I want to flash the last version of WM6.1 that Dr. Gonzo posted.

Turn off phone, hold camera button and insert power cord.
You're probably going to need to flash USPL first, so this won't work with an unsigned ROM (such as New Guava).

Thanks for the reply. I had flashed the USPL when I first started using New Guava. I found a way to flash to Dr. G's latest version of WM6.1 that he posted last night without using sd card flashing by using the one he had posted on the first page and renaming 5.nbh to windowsmobile6.1.hbh, copying it into the extracted folder and running RUU.

You don't need to download both archives dude, the only thing that changes is the specified NBH which is the firmware you're flashing, RUU will flash any properly blocked (and checksummed) NBH within it's directory.

I had previously downloaded the first archive as I had already flashed my ROM with the included nbh file, but could not my ROM with the new nbh file as there was no RUU with it and I could not work out how to get directly into the boot loader without using the USB cable to flash my ROM from my sd card, so used that method as a work around to flash my ROM.

There is nothing to it really, it's pretty much just a white screen with blue lettered instructions.
Unfortunately I'm hopefully not going to do it again soon. I got my sync issues sort of sorted through Bluetooth.
But if I have to flash again.. I'll take some pics.

Problems upgrading Radio 1.58.26.20!!!!

I upgrade my Rom from DualTouch V4 to Duttys Official WM6.1 Rom, and i have no sound, I read that i need to upgrade my radio son i tried to install the 1.58.26.20 cause right now im using the 1.27.12.11, but the moment that im flashing, when appears the porcentage bar, frezze in 0% and nothing happens. is there an thread that i can read to fix that or what can i do???
I try to find a thread with the solution but i didnt find it.

hmmm, I remember having an issue like that when I flashed my radio. How long do you let it sit before giving up? Also maybe try another radio???

Try flashing the radio from the storage card.

This talks about the flashing a ROM from the MicroSD but you can also flash the radio. Just change the .nbh in the radio file to the same name as the instructions say.

i see this offered as a possible solution more and more.. whats the advantages of flashing from the storage card exactly?

Typically when a user has a connection error and can't upgrade ROM/RADIO via the computer you can always flash using the MicroSD card.
Another advantage is if you want to quickly change ROM's and Radio's you can do so on the fly.
Also upgrading this way takes out the possibility if you are on a desktop computer of losing power or having your phone disconnected while flashing. I lost power when I was flashing my phone once I thought I bricked my Kaiser

yes,flashing usiing sd card method is faster then flashing with activesync
and you dont have to affraid about lost connection or power corrupt

What the Hell Is Wrong with my S710?

I have installed WM6.1 Rom.
But today (i dont know why (i'm a idiot)) i wanted WM6 back, when I restart, i cant start my Phone (HTC screen... and nothing happens) the phone doesnt continue to start.
Cane someone please help me?

Enter bootloader mode and reflash :
- switch off your phone, hold the camera button and connect the usb cable. If USPL was flashed you should have no problem flashing another ROM

I See the RED - GREEN - BLUE Screen..

Look at the Wiki article on SD-Card flashing, that should be the easiest way to flash the ROM again!

That just means that you have to have the ROM, either from the forum or self made through the kitchen! In your ROM there is a *.nbh file. Just follow the steps from there. The nbh is the only file you will need!

I have tried the SD Card Flashing, by following the instructions on the wiki. The bootloader will scan my SD card but comes up with and Invalid Certificate error and won't start the upgrade.
What now?

I downloaded Several Roms

I downloaded Several Roms but can't intall them completely my hard spl is 3.29 and rom version is 3.34 and os is wm6.1 wwe so whenever is tried wm6.5 Rom it stucks on 0%
any one can help me out thanks in advance

Are you using the .exe file provided to flash?, in that case, try by flash a new ROM from your SD card. Rename the .nbh to KAISIMG.nbh, in your SD card (1 Gb is the best) and power on your phone by pressing and hold camera button and reset, then follow the instructions.
If you are going to WM6.5, flash first an original 6.1 ROM from your provider or HTC to cleanup the storage, and after the flash, hard reset your device.

yes that is a good sugestion..flash from SD card and place flash file to be on the root of you SD disk..i don't use PC for anywhere to flash Kaiser because can download from WiFi that files birect to SD card.Good luck!

Read the stickies!!!!!!! Then follow the flashing for noobs bit. It explains it all in perfect detail in there. Force it into usb mode or if that doesnt work, flash via sd.

Which 6.1 rom are you using to upgrade from?

What other HardSPL versions have you tried? Does it say USB on the screen when you are on the tri colour screen after changing HardSPL?
I've had problems doing it the sd card way in the past so I always use USB now and it's not failed once. Just try different hardSpl versions, that seems to be where you troubles lie.

Stuntdouble is right, remember when you search and flash different roms the cookers always post in their threads recommended hardspl and radio so you won't have any problems running their roms.
Also, please follow in detail every step in the flashing for noobs thread for hardspl flashing
Having that, I think nobody should have any problems since you only need to follow intructions in detail.

Have you un-locked the Kaiser?
I got the same problem when I got my TYTN II back from repair, I had to un-lockit again.

my hd2 is a timer...

hey guys..i noticed that my hd2 is a timer XDXD every 4 minutes one percent of battery power it's used...even if i don't use it or it's in standby....i istalled the update radio version...but there is the same problem....my battery works for 2 hours.....someone can help me....i dont' know anymore what i can do....

No one will able to help you without you providing more information. There are literally hundreds of possible reasons for your battery drain:
- running processes
- ROM version
- radio version
To save a lot of time in the long run, hard reset and reinstall apps one by one. If you notice the problem recurring, you have found the solution.
I know you are going to say "I don't want to hard reset" but you have little choice. No one wants to hard reset.

i hard resetted more than 10 times my hd2 so i'll try another one...but the problem is there...i thought ...it can be a problem of the battery...maybe i have to change it with another new battery..

You could try that, it is an expensive way to test your battery by buying another one.
If you install a stock ROM and try that for a day or so, you will see whether it is a hardware or software related issue.

and where can i donwload this stock rom??? my rom is artemis italian rom 2.13 with radio 2.07.51.22_2 version and 2.5.20 manila version...

Relax...take a deep breath. Turn off your phone . Start it back up while also pressing the volume down key . Keep it pressed until you are presented with "the bootloader screen".

After it is at 100% it will restart the phone . Remember to quickly press volume down again to bring the phone into bootloader once more. Now Run the OFFICIALL ROM APP and voila.

I see your problem is not resolved yet!

first, you dont have enough info.. otherwise we'll be guessing until you try everything. i think it has to do with your radio, rom or WiFi cuz i've had that problem then I said i had enough and flashed t mobile's latest Rom, replacing the custom radio, rom and hard spl. it corrected the problem, lol. its like taking taking out three birds with one stone.

damn...i have a big problem... i used task29 to erase the hd2 and istall the leon italian rom but with that download i didn't have to use task ad now i don't have the file of the rom to rename and put into the storage card and istall...but i thought ..i can istall artemis rom and then istall leon rom with the istaller...or the original htc rom...

If you have HSPL just download http://www.4shared.com/file/X9gQD6tK/RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1664052_Radio_.html and try it!

I don't understand what you are saying. After task29 you just install an officiall rom like the one i posted in the link here ! I keep telling you to put an officiall original ROM onto your device and NOT A CUSTOM ! Artemis,Leon, are all CUSTOM ROMS . You have to put a officiall htc one after task29 ! That should make your device more stable. After you see everything is allright you can proceed with further flashes. Just try !

Start the phone by holding down the volume down button and the power button . Keep the volume down key pressed until u see the bootloader menu . Connect to pc . FLASH !

OMG....i love you guys....you are genies....god bless your mind....

you can also try this: remove your sd-card and check how the battery drain is. in my case, i didn't format the sd-card with the phone's tool...battery performance was very poor.
then i copied all the files of the card to pc, formatted the card inside the phone with the tool provided by htc (an app on your phone), and then copied back the files onto the card.
now, with artemis v18, radio 2.11.50.20 and hspl 1.66, i have the best battery life i've ever had. normal usage (some sms, 30 min. phone call, 1h wifi, 1h 3g surfing, some games...) , and my battery lasts sometimes nearly 2.5 days!
