hey guys..i noticed that my hd2 is a timer XDXD every 4 minutes one percent of battery power it's used...even if i don't use it or it's in standby....i istalled the update radio version...but there is the same problem....my battery works for 2 hours.....someone can help me....i dont' know anymore what i can do....
No one will able to help you without you providing more information. There are literally hundreds of possible reasons for your battery drain:
- running processes
- ROM version
- radio version
To save a lot of time in the long run, hard reset and reinstall apps one by one. If you notice the problem recurring, you have found the solution.
I know you are going to say "I don't want to hard reset" but you have little choice. No one wants to hard reset.

i hard resetted more than 10 times my hd2 so i'll try another one...but the problem is there...i thought ...it can be a problem of the battery...maybe i have to change it with another new battery..
You could try that, it is an expensive way to test your battery by buying another one.
If you install a stock ROM and try that for a day or so, you will see whether it is a hardware or software related issue.
and where can i donwload this stock rom??? my rom is artemis italian rom 2.13 with radio 2.07.51.22_2 version and 2.5.20 manila version...
Relax...take a deep breath. Turn off your phone . Start it back up while also pressing the volume down key . Keep it pressed until you are presented with "the bootloader screen".
If it says HSPL 1.66 or 2.08 you are all set. You can Download a STOCK ROM from VBN Files or HERE: http://www.4shared.com/dir/22189940/b8552fa0/Shipped_Leo_ROMs.html
After you have downloaded the rom(it will appear like a new application) you can jump to step 2 which is getting Task29 application. I will Atach it here . Now . While in Bootloader, Connect your hd2 to your pc . Run task 29 app (extracted from the archive i attached here) go ahead and press next next next. It will erase everything on your phone . After it is at 100% it will restart the phone . Remember to quickly press volume down again to bring the phone into bootloader once more. Now Run the OFFICIALL ROM APP and voila.

I see your problem is not resolved yet!
first, you dont have enough info.. otherwise we'll be guessing until you try everything. i think it has to do with your radio, rom or WiFi cuz i've had that problem then I said i had enough and flashed t mobile's latest Rom, replacing the custom radio, rom and hard spl. it corrected the problem, lol. its like taking taking out three birds with one stone.

damn...i have a big problem... i used task29 to erase the hd2 and istall the leon italian rom but with that download i didn't have to use task ad now i don't have the file of the rom to rename and put into the storage card and istall...but i thought ..i can istall artemis rom and then istall leon rom with the istaller...or the original htc rom...

I don't understand what you are saying. After task29 you just install an officiall rom like the one i posted in the link here ! I keep telling you to put an officiall original ROM onto your device and NOT A CUSTOM ! Artemis,Leon, are all CUSTOM ROMS . You have to put a officiall htc one after task29 ! That should make your device more stable. After you see everything is allright you can proceed with further flashes. Just try !

Start the phone by holding down the volume down button and the power button . Keep the volume down key pressed until u see the bootloader menu . Connect to pc . FLASH !
OMG....i love you guys....you are genies....god bless your mind....
you can also try this: remove your sd-card and check how the battery drain is. in my case, i didn't format the sd-card with the phone's tool...battery performance was very poor.
then i copied all the files of the card to pc, formatted the card inside the phone with the tool provided by htc (an app on your phone), and then copied back the files onto the card.
now, with artemis v18, radio 2.11.50.20 and hspl 1.66, i have the best battery life i've ever had. normal usage (some sms, 30 min. phone call, 1h wifi, 1h 3g surfing, some games...) , and my battery lasts sometimes nearly 2.5 days!

and i think i followd all the instractions but after starting the flashing it stock on 17% after removing the battery as the program said it wont go over 0%
firs i installed kaiser-HardSPLv1 and after that i started to flash the rom and its not working.
pls tell me what to do to save my nice phone

Things that will help others help you:
1. where are you located?
2. who is your provider
3. what ROM WERE you on?
4. ok - you had a phone that was working - and you did:
a. what did you do first?
b. second?
c. etc.
Your message KINDA indicates that you flashed a ROM and had issues - so you THEN flash HARDSPL? was that successful?

i just run the kaiser-HardSPLv1 program and then i started flashing the rom duty 6.1 rom and it stoped at 17% like the program said i removed the batery and started the flashing prosse again but now it doesny even go above 0%, now im stock in the tri color screan

you don't have hardSPL installed..! surprise, surprise
u don't have hardspl flashed from bootloader info u provided. flash hardspl be4 flashing any roms.
please search and read; this has been answered many times.
p.s. use the new hardspl by jocky which is a sticky in this forum.

OK - I do not think that you got the HARDSPL installed on your phone correctly - BECAUSE - I believe that it would say OLIPOF or JOCKY on it and it does not.
I have not seen the new HARDSPL 328 and 329 but it LOOKS like to me that you did not successfully get the HARDSPL on your phone.
Personally - I would scan the message boards for GSLEON3 (user name) and send him a private message - there are many others that can help you and he or others MAY come trolling by and take pity on you - but at the moment he is the one that helps people in your situation the most from what I have seen.
I would NOT continue to work on it myself as you can definitely mess your phone up permanently. Does your phone still go into boot loader mode? If so - can you flash the required HARDSPL onto your phone?
Find a message that GSLEON3 has left and then lik on his name and send him a private message - he is very nice - BUT - he is VERY busy - continue to be nice and he will most likely get you back and running.

Deep cleansing breaths here ok?
1. personally - I would PUT BACK what ever you had on your phone and get it running again - trying at this point to get ot to go to a different ROM is not a good idea right at this minute.
2. 28 and 29 from what I read makes no difference - users try each one to see which one works better on THEIR flashed ROM.
3. What I would do is look for the HARDSPL that goes with what you had loaded to begin with - or the actual SPL that came with your original ROM and put that one back.
I would be stuck here because I have to use JUMPSPL on my phone because I get the white screen - but I THINK that (don't quote me because I do not do it this way) if you don't get the white screen you can just flash the HARDSPL to your phone without JUMPSPL (having to be able to copy something to your phone.
HOWEVER - if you cannot or do not know how to continue from reading the WIKI - you MUST request help from a professional - I have already recommended one. (GSLEON3)

Based on your current track record, I wouldn't suggest you use MTTY as you have a VERY HIGH probability of bricking your phone (ie: it won't ever be usable again).

Can you get the phone into the bootloader mode? Turn the phone off (pull the battery if you have to) then press and hold the camera button while you turn the phone on. You should get to a tri-color screen (this is the boot loader). Now plug in the USB cord and see if it switches from saying Serial to USB. If so, you can try flashing AN OFFICIAL ROM THAT WAS MEANT FOR YOUR PHONE (ie: Don't try to put an offical AT&T rom on an Orange). When you run the RUU program it will tell you that you need to have ActiveSync working, but don't worry about that. If your phone in bootloader shows USB, you can continue on.
BUT AGAIN... You need the Official rom that was meant for your device. Since you are not HardSPL'd you have to do it this way.
If you don't understand any of that, or have questions, don't just try it hoping you get it right...
As stated previously, it would be well worth you time to get someone like GSLEON to assist if you can.

Cool. Glad that worked for you.... NOW, your next task is to read and understand ALL the steps before you try flashing a custom rom. HardSPL that sucker (but understand and follow EVERY step before you try that) and then you should be good to go...
my only problem is that their are so many strings of information and so many threads even wiki is confusing.
i will try to do this after i will make some order it all of this.

Not to be mean but if you have red Wiki and looked at threads here and they "don't make sense to you". You really have no business flashing a rom. If you don't understand what you are doing sooner or later you will brick your phone from your lack of knowledge and it will be no ones fault but your own.
I am really surprised people were willing to repeat what has been typed out hundreds and hundreds of times on these forums.

Hello guys ..I know it's my first thread and it's kind of mean to ask for a favor from the first time.
but here's what happened .
I have an official windows Mobile 6.1 downloaded from the official htc website on my kaiser (tilt)
but the HTC screen plug in didn't have weather working on it.
so I decided to download some other HTC home plug-in from one of the website
it's called freewarepocketpc.net
after the download I installed it on the storage card memory
installation required restart.
after the restart the problem started
it cannot open windows,
it gets to the today screen then it gets stuck before openning HTC home screen
after it gets stuck it reboots by itself to go back to the same problem
I tried to take the Micro SD card out before i reboot.
but nothing happened .
it will get stuck and reboot.
I took the sim card out but the same thing happened
I wanna format this kaiser but I cannot establish a connection between the computer and the phone ..
so please tell me what to do.
I took the battery out of the phone in home that it goes to factory setting and take the home plug in out ..I'm hoping
but please I need the phone so bad
I have everything on it.
give me some ideas please..at least to format it.

if it wont let you do anything hold down both soft keys and push the stylus and hold them all in/down until the hard reset/clear storage screen comes on, press send to start reset then send to reboot when prompted to
if non of the above work put the phone in bootloader manually (see the wiki) and flash a different rom

as long as you can put the phone in bootloader mode, your ok
just put it in bootloader mode (keep the camera hard button pressed and insert the stylus for soft reset)
you then see the tri-colored screen known as the bootloader...
then, insert your USB cable and ignore the fact that activesync is not working...
flash the rom you want to flash...and it will work hopefully
there! i just saved you some wiki time reading cause your in a panicked mood but after this please read read read...

Just test all custom rom if u really in mood to use one.
flashing one rom is less than 5mins using SD. Then u will find one which will best suit ur need

Best advice I can give you is search and read. Read the wiki. This is an obvious suggestion but it will help in more ways than one. You get the answer to your question but you also learn the correct terminology which HELPS YOU TO ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS Since you are new at flashing, i would suggest you keep an open mind, experiment, but research to see if your chosen methodology is good before you turn your device into a brick.
Prerequisites:
1. update your bootloader to something brick proof.
2. make sure you pick a radio which is compatible with the rom you have chosen.
What to look for?
1. Usually the chefs are nice enough to place a date on their threads when they announce a new build. Keep your eyes open for that and also updates within the threads as the builds, bugfixes, and download locations are updated sometimes multiple times a day on hot threads.
2. start with a bloated full build which is full of aps and tweaks and decide what you like/dislike about it. You may find that you rarely use some of the stuff and want to run a bit leaner.
3. Find a completely stripped down lite build and build it up piece by piece with cabs(cabinet file installers). You've now seen both sides of the spectrum while also gaining some flashing experience.
What to do next?
Now that you have decided which utils and apps you need, tweak the settings and dial them in. You'll learn much by playing with settings and watching the behavior of the device change.
And Finally:
Find a build which is as close to what you settled on yourself. Chances are the chefs have put something together which will surpass your expectations and can be modified the way you like it with just a few cabs/tweaks after install.

I really doubt that it does a hard rest. Since its only radio flash, but I haven't tried.

Thnxs for the complement , no its not included in my rom's. The reason is, that theres no points in reflashing radio rom, unless you have a problem, since the OS update does not affect radio.

Do not change spl to stock. Make sure that your device is x7510 NOT x7500 ect.
Make sure you don't have a sd card, and make sure you are in bootloader mode (camera + reset).
Hi Vico, the model is X7510 and I took out the sd card and tried to flash the radio again, It started well but at the 7% it stopped and now appeared a model ID error [244].

Download my one again, and put your device in bootloader mode, make sure you you only have the two files in a folder. i really don't know what else to do, try another computer maybe?, there is also a way of flash a rom by putting it storage. just try Google
hi vico i just flahs your rom WM6.5.3-23153_128DPI_x7510_6.2_VICO, but have not signal on my divice X7510 , i found this tread and relise that ur roms donst have the radio, iam trying to install this radio Athena 1.58 but have a error massage , . i also try to install the X7510 radio without succes, see the pic atach.

Redownad this new radio (might help) if that dosn't work, i have incledud the original 6.1 htc rom. Just make sure you have Hard-spl "3.05-OliNex", make sure you are in bootloader when you flash.

Also make sure you use 7-zip for extracting, just so there are no errors.

i give up, i think i have try almost evrething but no succes flashing te new radio, i dont know what the problem was, and the Original RUU_Athena_HTC_WWE_3.27.405.3_1.58.00.00_Ship also didnt let me flash it, always got just 10 % of the instalation and it stuck, after that i got the update error all the time,

what i did. i rename the RUU_signed.nbh to ATHEIMG.nbh i copy to the mini SD an then try to flash the rom in that way from the mini SD, i put the divice in boot loader and right now the screen said .... Loading.... but thats it,. i still dont see any progres.
According to the manual:
III.Select file system and format the MiniSD card to FAT32 mode.
IV.Copy image file XXX.nbh to the micro SD card and rename to ATHEIMG.NBH.
V.Turn the device power off and insert MiniSD card.
VI.Press and hold Power + Camera button, and Reset button to entry Boot loader mode.
VII.Press Power button to start upgrade procedure.
VIII.Reading source code from MiniSD card.
[Note]: This process will takes 15 mins, please don’t power off the device.
IX.After finish, press Reset button to reboot.
So probably make sure its the only file on the sd (and do it exact capital letters ect)

IV.Copy image file XXX.nbh to the micro SD card and rename to ATHEIMG.NBH.
V.Turn the device power off and insert MiniSD card.
VI.Press and hold Power + Camera button, and Reset button to entry Boot loader mode.
VII.Press Power button to start upgrade procedure.
VIII.Reading source code from MiniSD card.
[Note]: This process will takes 15 mins, please don’t power off the device.
IX.After finish, press Reset button to reboot.
So probably make sure its the only file on the sd (and do it exact capital letters ect)

well let me tell u tahat i have 2 divices X7510 the first one:
ROM ver. 3.29.xTep_3_00 wwe
ROM date 01/25/09
Radio ver. n/a ... the divice dosent have radio/ dosent let me install after 7%
IPL-v2. 02
ATHE400
spl-3.05.0000
on this divice dosent let me instal a radio , after 7 % it fail, and when i want to to flash the stock rom from my computer , after 10 % it fail, and i flashed from the SD following the steps u metion here , but nothing hapens after the 3 color bootscreen .
the second divice X7510 :
ROM: WM6.5.3-23153_128DPI_x7510_6.2_VICO
Radio ver. n/a ... the divice dosent have radio/ dosent let me install after 7%

Hi Vico, thank you again for your support, I downloaded the second file that you upload "X7510 1.58 radio" and I uncompressed it with 7 zip and now I could flash the radio with out problems.

Anyone want to make this for the polaris as it would be very useful for cooks, and flashers. Also MTTY under 7 is less than can be desired.

As I have understood a dummy .nbh file comes from the Leo (HD2). I am not too good in technical aspects of .nbh files so I have a doubt: as the dummy file is about 5 megabytes it still flashes something to the device. If this something is flashed into the ROM area - no problem, as it will be erased straight after flashing. But if it flashes something beyond the ROM area and this something is Leo-specific, is it safe to flash it?
Maybe some pro's can provide more information on this. As soon as I will be sure that this file is safe for our device I'll make a ROM wiper.

Yeh very good point don't use it! Maybe you could ask a cook to create a blank nbh?

By the way, a boot/splash screen shouldn't be too big. I think I can create an .nbh with the default (smart mobility) screen to be flashed. There was a tool for it somewhere in this forums. Just need some free time to find it and make an .nbh...

I think may use it as dummy nbh, because it be written to phone < 1sec.
I run MTTY for " task 29 " and i trie leppa RUU with task 29 and all was ok...
But i got one problem, after task 29 i trie to flash last ROM of Kostas244 and also last ROM of Pcarvalho and the phone don't boot... But also trie the ROM of cruiserrr (naked version) and the phone did boot up...
I run task 29 before flash each of 3 ROM's... there some trick I missed?
For i can boot the phone with the new Kostas244 ROM i had to flash first Original ROM from HTC and then flash Kostas244... was the only way...
Some advice?

As Task 29 wipes out all from the phone it will be too thumb to boot, so you have to put polaris to bootloader mode (hold cam & power button while resetting to see tri-color boot screen) before you can flash as I understood in the above threads - unfortunately untested. this thread was few hours late. Please report
@ leppa good thing to start this thread. I tried on my own rigth after last pcar release. Maybe it is also a good move to provide the appropriate radio with this task 29 RUU. Could save the cooks a lot of maintenance posts.
So the final procedure would look like this
1. flash Task 29 RUU with appropriate radio (up to cooks recommendation)
2. Hard Reset
3. flash new ROM
in general a very usable thing to make things easier thanks

Thank's for the answer sqeeza, but you didn't tell anything new What i say is with the ROM from cruiserrr, the phone boot up ok... But with kostas244 and Pcarvalho ROM's the phone didn't boot... and yes of course i put first in bootloader mode and then flashed the ROM's...

Sorry sbettencourt, this is then beyond my horizon.
Did not read attentively enough. I would have had an explaination for the original HTC ROM since they usually write all parts of the ROM (radio, sys, etc. ) at once. So I assume task 29 wipes something that cruiserr writes with his ROM while the other cooks don't. So it would be up to one cook to understand/ answer this part. Maybe cruiserr can help here.

No problem sqeeza is good to have some answers... maybe someone can tell how to resolve this... the previous version of Kostas244 the phone booted but i download the new one and erase the previous... big mistake... i couldn't guess this too...
at least the Original ROM boot's fine not a cool ROM but work's... i already miss wm6.5

already flash again the cruiserrr ROM and the phone booted normal... it's strange...at least for me... the only difference i can see and i don't know if this matter, is, with the Cruiser ROM the splashcreen changes like with Original ROM, but with Kostas244 and Pcarvalho ROM's the splashscreen don't change... Can this make the difference?????
Ok... and now, my POLARIS is dead... No lights no nothing.
sorry to hear that, you say in your signature, dead by task 2a... That is mentioned many times that it will brick a polaris. Still sorry that you got caught by it.

probably cause the rom only has the OS, its missing radio and splash...but this is just me guessing dont know what cruiserrr has...mine only has OS part so people can choose their own radio/splash...thats why i advice people to flash original 1st...takes longer and all but is flawless...be very careful with task commands...

Now my P3650 goes like a trojan to HTC for repair... lets see... maybe in 1 month i have him back and fine

But hi is so slow,and i cant change profile on silent,it always change on normal after 3-4 seconds.
And i can't conect on my wireles router,because i cant change anythig on conections it says: "Error. this settings could not be opened."

Maybe some process in background... Look in AutoStart folder and try restart device. If don't work: HardReset... You can always upgrade to the newest Rom from this post
You should at least upgrade to the latest stock ROM (1.34). Someone fiddled with your Vox if settings aren't accessible. A flash (or hard-reset) takes care of that.
Could you send me a link for best Rom.
I dont know what version of WM is on my VOX.

It depends on your Vox location, whith version is correct. Most of them are the same version, different CID and languages
Hard reset solwed the problem,but I was acquisitive ,
and tried to put best rom in it,and I have to take my phone to service.
It is dead right now.

What is "dead" in your judgment? There are many way to recover and as long as you get at least the 3-color screen at boot, nothing is broken that cannot be fixed with the right procedure.
