Flashing Radio ROM

I want to flash my current radio rom (1.27.12.11) to 1.27.12.17. but if i open the EXE of the file i get the flash window. and if i click update. it shows me that my current image is version 1.56.404.6 and if i want to update it to 1.00.000.0 ... so whats up? is that normal?
and is this safe to do?
i have an unbranded HTC TyTN 2

That's normal. The version number relates to the whole ROM, but as you are only flashing the radio that question and version comparison is meaningless.
Just flash and you will see the radio rom version change to the new one and everything else remains the same.

its stuck at 0%... my AS connection dissapeared.. what now?
i managed to reboot it correctly, but my AS disconnects at the colour screen... why is that?

On this topic, I want to flash this new radio also, but I don't trust Vista, my Sync connection is always doing crazy things, its my vista that toast.
So can I Flash a Radio just using the SDcard method?
And how?

ActiveSync will disconnect at the coloured screen as it isn't ActiveSync in use at that point.
You also likely need HardSPL installed, if you haven't already please see the top threads in this forum for info as to how it all works.

Well im trying to install HardSPL. but when it comes to the tricoulour screen i have to unplug and plugin back my USB. AS disconnects as it should. and RUU starts. now it says make connection trough AS.... how? i cant get it to connect anymore and i need to reset my device in order to be connected again..
*edit* nevermind it worked. just ignore and go to update and click update

I had the exact same problem with Windows Vista. Tri-colour screen and Hardspl wouldn't continue.
Everything worked until the Unplug-replug part, and thats where is all stopped.
Had to soft reset device to get it back.
Still haven't figured it out.
Question to Seniors, if my Kaiser is "Free" or "Open", do I need hardSPL?
Or is HardSPL for getting around unsigned roms?

Ok did some reading, and understand HardSPL a bit better now...
One problem was the USB with thought a HUB, and not directly connected. Second problem was Vista not finding some driver, needed a reboot, Strang, ... anyway.
ITs on!!!
I think I got it Flashed on my Kaiser, but how do I KNOW, is there a way to check?
Edit: Figured this out too, My TriColour is now different, the USB was up top, its not lower and it says something about SPL by pof..
Hope you have more luck Imperium, I now have Radio .17 on my Kaiser.

radio flashing

i know this has probably been asked before but i'll get to the point. I'm wondering how to flash a different radio from the sd card if it's possible.I'm familiar with flashing through usb and quite familiar with those instructions but not when you through an sd card in the mix. any suggestions? Reason why I want to do this is because when i use the pull out the keyboard and try using certain symbols such as "@" i get "!" so i think i pinned the problem down to being a radio issue and not rom since this rom is 1 of dutty's and they're known to be nearly perfect.

1. flashing flashing a radio is the same as flashing an OS rom,you would have understood this if you read the sd card flashing thread.
2. are you even sure its the radio? did you try the tilt keyboard fix

so it's not possible to flash radio other than usb method, i'll try to use the keyboard fix and see if that saves me time

i didnt even say it was not possible. all i said was flashing by sd card is the same whether you used a radio rom or an os rom or watever rom.

A. Thats not what he said. He said Flashing a Radio is just like Flashing a ROM.

keyboard issue is fixed. i know nothing about flashing rom or radio from sd card.hope it doesnt involve formatting it cause i have too much installed and saved on it but have room for the radio if its possible to flash the radio from the card

I have no Radio

Hello everyone..Im newbies here.I lost my radio when trying to upgrade to cotulla`s rom.Here is brief explanation on what i have gone through.
-i use magician(02 xda ii mini)with default wm2003se and 1.11 radio.
1.I try to upgrade to cotulla`s 03 wwe where its need 1.12 radio version
2.I flash the radio using MusikMonk instruction in upgrd radio 1.12x thread.
3.1st i use usb flashing method and receive annoying 141 error.
4.I move to SD flashing method where i notice the radio have lost from my device.(red text in start screen show only wwe info istead of other before/there is no radio info in device information in os)
5.I try all other radio installation in ftp and receive same 141 error.
6.follow MusikMonk advice by backup the current os using romupdateutility and got the .nb1 file.-read using ntrw in cmd.
7.copy the 416byte header and edit to radio (.nb1) file attached in MusickMonk instruction.write to sd card but when try to flash in bootloader receive section=1 not allow update!.
8.Try same method with different radio file i found in ftp(I convert .nbf to .nb1 using nbfdec)
9.again stuck when flashing(section=1 not allow update!.)
10.try to update with shipped rom but receive 141 error(stuck in 50%/step 1:updating radio.Since i think i have no radio this error occur)
11.still going around with other radio file->convert->edit->flash->stuck...
I still browsing around this forum to find solution.Got fever because its exhausting me..i need to done this fast since this is the only phone i have and cant afford other.
So.I really need everybody expertise and advice especially for those have experience with this problem..Really need all of u.Thanks for view.

there is where i lost my radio daley.Upgrade with wwe 01,02,04 still wont work.stuck in 141 error.(i have no radio,i think what the heck can those rom upgrade?)

before wwe3.03 installing your pda call normal? but with 2003SE and r1.11 shiprom, radio still work? try other no success. I think you have a pda with damage radio hardware

before it try to flash the radio,my magician work normally as it is..

is your battery ok? I've just the same problem to flash a radio... the battery seams OK, but it's too old. I've inserted a new one from my other xda mini, and the flash works well.
Try again with a new battery...

I downloaded Several Roms

I downloaded Several Roms but can't intall them completely my hard spl is 3.29 and rom version is 3.34 and os is wm6.1 wwe so whenever is tried wm6.5 Rom it stucks on 0%
any one can help me out thanks in advance

Are you using the .exe file provided to flash?, in that case, try by flash a new ROM from your SD card. Rename the .nbh to KAISIMG.nbh, in your SD card (1 Gb is the best) and power on your phone by pressing and hold camera button and reset, then follow the instructions.
If you are going to WM6.5, flash first an original 6.1 ROM from your provider or HTC to cleanup the storage, and after the flash, hard reset your device.

yes that is a good sugestion..flash from SD card and place flash file to be on the root of you SD disk..i don't use PC for anywhere to flash Kaiser because can download from WiFi that files birect to SD card.Good luck!

Read the stickies!!!!!!! Then follow the flashing for noobs bit. It explains it all in perfect detail in there. Force it into usb mode or if that doesnt work, flash via sd.

Which 6.1 rom are you using to upgrade from?

What other HardSPL versions have you tried? Does it say USB on the screen when you are on the tri colour screen after changing HardSPL?
I've had problems doing it the sd card way in the past so I always use USB now and it's not failed once. Just try different hardSpl versions, that seems to be where you troubles lie.

Stuntdouble is right, remember when you search and flash different roms the cookers always post in their threads recommended hardspl and radio so you won't have any problems running their roms.
Also, please follow in detail every step in the flashing for noobs thread for hardspl flashing
Having that, I think nobody should have any problems since you only need to follow intructions in detail.

Have you un-locked the Kaiser?
I got the same problem when I got my TYTN II back from repair, I had to un-lockit again.

Hello, i've got problem with my GPS so i would like to reflash radio. The file i found in "athena upgrading" section doesn't work. It says to me wrong version. Is there a spécific file for X7510?

I really doubt that it does a hard rest. Since its only radio flash, but I haven't tried.

Thnxs for the complement , no its not included in my rom's. The reason is, that theres no points in reflashing radio rom, unless you have a problem, since the OS update does not affect radio.

Do not change spl to stock. Make sure that your device is x7510 NOT x7500 ect.
Make sure you don't have a sd card, and make sure you are in bootloader mode (camera + reset).

Hi Vico, the model is X7510 and I took out the sd card and tried to flash the radio again, It started well but at the 7% it stopped and now appeared a model ID error [244].

Download my one again, and put your device in bootloader mode, make sure you you only have the two files in a folder. i really don't know what else to do, try another computer maybe?, there is also a way of flash a rom by putting it storage. just try Google

hi vico i just flahs your rom WM6.5.3-23153_128DPI_x7510_6.2_VICO, but have not signal on my divice X7510 , i found this tread and relise that ur roms donst have the radio, iam trying to install this radio Athena 1.58 but have a error massage , . i also try to install the X7510 radio without succes, see the pic atach.

Redownad this new radio (might help) if that dosn't work, i have incledud the original 6.1 htc rom. Just make sure you have Hard-spl "3.05-OliNex", make sure you are in bootloader when you flash.

Also make sure you use 7-zip for extracting, just so there are no errors.

thanks for ur answer ,yes i have the bootloader when i flashing and i have Hard-spl "3.05-OliNex" y tryed to install the new radio but dosent let me , it just send me an error update, i will try to install de stock rom 6.1

i give up, i think i have try almost evrething but no succes flashing te new radio, i dont know what the problem was, and the Original RUU_Athena_HTC_WWE_3.27.405.3_1.58.00.00_Ship also didnt let me flash it, always got just 10 % of the instalation and it stuck, after that i got the update error all the time,

what do you mean with flashing the rom from on board flash? .
what i did. i rename the RUU_signed.nbh to ATHEIMG.nbh i copy to the mini SD an then try to flash the rom in that way from the mini SD, i put the divice in boot loader and right now the screen said .... Loading.... but thats it,. i still dont see any progres.

According to the manual:
III.Select file system and format the MiniSD card to FAT32 mode.
IV.Copy image file XXX.nbh to the micro SD card and rename to ATHEIMG.NBH.
V.Turn the device power off and insert MiniSD card.
VI.Press and hold Power + Camera button, and Reset button to entry Boot loader mode.
VII.Press Power button to start upgrade procedure.
VIII.Reading source code from MiniSD card.
[Note]: This process will takes 15 mins, please don’t power off the device.
IX.After finish, press Reset button to reboot.
So probably make sure its the only file on the sd (and do it exact capital letters ect)

well let me tell u tahat i have 2 divices X7510 the first one:
ROM ver. 3.29.xTep_3_00 wwe
ROM date 01/25/09
Radio ver. n/a ... the divice dosent have radio/ dosent let me install after 7%
IPL-v2. 02
ATHE400
spl-3.05.0000
on this divice dosent let me instal a radio , after 7 % it fail, and when i want to to flash the stock rom from my computer , after 10 % it fail, and i flashed from the SD following the steps u metion here , but nothing hapens after the 3 color bootscreen .
the second divice X7510 :
ROM: WM6.5.3-23153_128DPI_x7510_6.2_VICO
Radio ver. n/a ... the divice dosent have radio/ dosent let me install after 7%
IPL-v2.02
ATHE400
SPL-v3.65. OilNex
i have the same problem on both divice

Hi Vico, thank you again for your support, I downloaded the second file that you upload "X7510 1.58 radio" and I uncompressed it with 7 zip and now I could flash the radio with out problems.
