I'm trying to use OmapClock and Startup Manager (http://www.smartphone-freeware.com/download-startup-manager.html) to overclock my Shadow after it wakes up but I can't seem to get it to work. I've already got the shortcut created and it works from a reboot, just not after waking. I think I've mirrored how it should be based on using MemMaid on a PPC but still nothing. Can anyone help out here?
Hey buddy looks like U r stuck after soft resetting the phone...
well ur phone is stuck..but U can syncronize to activesync..jsut manually delete the startup shortcut of OmapClock from windows\startup folder....then re-on ur phone....

Soft reset isn't the problem, it's waking up after it hasn't been used in a while...you know when the display turns off.

Similar problem, continues overclock is an issue for me as well tried Tornado power control but that seems to crash my Shadow "Juno".

I installed several programs on my Cruise and unfortunately the device cannot be turned off anymore.
If I hold the button on top of the device and hold it, you get the message that you are turning the device off....but it puts it in hibernate....
I don't really know which program caused the problem, since I seldom turn my phone off. So in the 2 weeks I have the phone, I tried to turn it off only once.
In the beginning the button worked...but now...not anymore.
I know I can try a hard reset, but I am reluctant...since I have to install everything again.
The software I installed were:
SBSH PocketBreeze (uninstalled it)
PZP tools (uninstalled it)
BatteryStatus Advanced
SPB Diary
HTC Home Customizer
At least these are the programs of which I think could have caused the problem.
Does anybody know how to correct this, without hardresetting?

you can try soft reseting the device with the stylus and see once it is back on if the problem persists. then u might want to try uninstalling the last application u installed to see if it makes a difference.

I did it but with no relevant results, now i am going to hard resetting it....

I have used HTC Home Customizer and do not have this problem. Have you tried a short double press of the power button? Sounds like the long press power off works by your descriptions. You may also want to check if xpshut will work for you.

I tried xpshut also with no results, now after hardresetting seems it's all ok. If the situation will repeat i'll write it in this thread, thanks mates
Problem seems to be resolved
The problem seems to be HTCHome v2.1 necessary for HHCustomizer to work. I installed it and i'm not able to turn off the device, after uninstalled it's all ok.
At least there is someone to share this inconvenience. Glad to hear you found out what caused it....however, does your Home Customizer still work?

No, it doesn't work without HTCHome v2.1
Keypad service
There's also a service, keypad, that if stopped, disables all buttons. Not sure if this applies to you or not, but I had stopped it on my TC by accident, and had the same issue you described.

so heres a weird thing that happened last night. i was playing around with tornadopowercontrol and i accidently set cpu speed to ultra slow. it stayed workin for a few seconds and then turned off. got scared, i turn it back on, it loads to the main home screen, loads up tornadopowercontrol (had it in the startup mode -hidden) and then it turns off and reboots. Not sure why, maybe cause its still stuck in that low cpu speed? this continues to happen, not sure how to stop it.... any suggestions?
Try a hard reset! From the Wiki: "Turn off your phone, then press both soft keys next to D-Pad and power on device. After moment release both soft keys. On the black screen asking for confirmation press "green phone" button and wait couple minutes for phone to initialize"
Sync it and edit your Power_On.lnk inside \Windows\ and put it back to whatever speed you had it at,
I don't think he can get it to this point!

lol no problem ya couldn't sync it to reset it back to original settings. ultimately required a hard reset hope i have my stuff backed up somewhere! lol i tried puttin it to a lower settin cause i was just listening to music and didnt' think i needed it running at 252. but i guess 116mhz is much to low, anyone know wats probably the safest (and lowest) speed it can run at?
i had a similar problem but managed to solve it without hard reset. i powered up the phone with pc cable connected ... lucklly it was able to connect through ActiveSync before programs from startUp and i`ve managed to overwrite the file.
my vox works ok even with 140 as lower setting but SmartToolKit seems to lockup way too often ... right now i`m using 164 and i haven`t see a lockup in about a week or so.
264 seems to be the upper limit (damn rocket) , beyond that it start to act crazy.

is the 264 mhz stable? or does it lock up? anything with smartoolkit locks up i just turn it off nowadays
Hello...I cant shutdown my polaris from the power button...When i hold the button the normal message it's display but when I click "Yes" the screen becomes black and the Phone signal is missing(strange)..It does the same thing like I just press the power button and it just hibernate..
I dont know why this is happening because I dont change the buttons.
On the other hand I installed PsShutXp that little program that helps you to turn off/hibernate/restart your ppc.And again my ppc restarts and hibernate but when i press turn off it does the same thing like i said above.
Somebody know about this problem? Please help me.

Hmmm. I find out which was the problem...I installed a few days ago HTCHome v2.1 and this program did something..When i uninstalled this everything become normal...

I have many problems with my touch pro but this is the biggest one and it is really bugging me ......When somebody calls me the screen doesnt change the phone rings and everything but the phone stays on the today screen and i have to answer without knowing who is calling me .....
This problem heppens in like 40% of my calls so plz if someone have had this problem before and did fix it .....i would really appreciate the help
That's wierd... never had this... sometimes i have lag with the caller id popping up on screen... but eventually it is showing.
Maybe you should try a hard reset?
I've had this a few times too. The buttons flash, the phone rings, but the screen just shows the today screen. It hasn't happened very often..maybe 6 or 7 times, but it is very annoying
This happened to me too...
I found out that it was a app I had installed that was cousing the problem..
(cant remember which one now... maybe S2U2? or a combination of different call apps)
Think I had to install then uninstall S2U2 again for it to work...(or other app)
check what apps you have or had...
try removing them... or installing old one and uninstalling them again..
and dont forget to softreset... (you should try that first, if u haven't done it)
Only apps that have something to do with calls... not gps, picture app and so on...
agree with above... apps will conflict with WM system. To be 100% sure (the long way) I would hard reset everything and install one app per day or 2 days to make sure that ur problem doesnt come back.. if one it comes back, u will know which app is causing this.
but that's just me.

if i had to guess, i would guess that either Fast Switch skins for SPB MS 3.1 or SPB Mobile Shell is screwing up ur phone.... SPB Mobile Shell when u install it, there is a bug for the HTC that the task manager at the top right cornor disappears and even after u unstall SPB Mobile Shell, its still gone. the only way to get it back is to hard reset.... thats my ecperience for both Touch Pro and Touch Dual... I could be wrong but thats my guess.

hard reset = volume down button + center select button (center circle) + reset button (using stylus in bottom hole at bottom of phone)
press above all at the same time and wait for screen instructions.

It's with S2u2 something in the settings I can't figure it out turned it off but I love it! It's the only way I can see my appointments.

3 days ago i bought my xda and it rocked... i`ve installed some Apps like the Beer app and so on.. today i installed tf3d config and did some changes like branded screen and some menu things... i rebooted it and now it doesnt boot anymore i hope u can help me im very sad bec of this..

Just do a hard reset, I imagine you changed a setting that you should not have changed!
i did and then i had to configure the phone again.. after that it rebooted and it hang up again..
now it worked for 10 mins then i wanted to restart it and the display was going darker and darker till it was black
does anyone know what it could be.. mb my akku is low or sth like that but it should work when its loading
Maybe you have configured your Light Sensor so sensitive that the screen adjusts to black.
do a hardreset and don't use tfl3d conf. to see if the problem can be solved that way.
i did a hard reset.. after that i configured the device.. then it rebooted and it worked.. so i tried to reboot it again and now its the same.. when i do the reset tfl changes are erased?
Edit:// when the reset worked it was luck.. i cant see anything on the mobile so i dont know when i have to press any button..
