hey,i wanted to upgrade to wm6 so i tried to unlock the phone with sda unlock application,but it keeps telling me the phone is not unlockable.
and other thing, i tried to update to the newest rom,mine is old(the one that came with the phone)and when the update utility start it crashed on 0% and an error report appeared on the screen,and the phone will stay in bootloader till i reboot,i tried the unlocking and the update more than 10 times,does anyone know what to do ?

your device is not application-unlocked. run htcunlock-cvs first then sda application unlock.

Hi all,
i cid unlocked my tornado a few months ago and upgraded last week to wm6.
There are a few versions now and i was trying to upgrade my tornado and i start the procedure and it hangs when it tries to enter bootloader. only appears a white screen.
If i take out the baterry everithing is ok, and boots normaly...
can anyone help me?

Run an official ROM update and it will reflash a bootloader...

hi, thank's for the answer.
I found out that my mini-card became corrupted, and the bootloader always hanged trying to read the card, even running upgrades with the phone on it freezed giving a error on the desktop, and closing the application...
now it's solved, and i upgraded to one of the chinese roms...

Ive a question about updating the software of my HTC S710. The device is unlocked and the simlock is also removed. But i wanted to update the software. Ive downloaden the update from 1/24/2008. The filename of the update is: RUU_Vox_HTC_WWE_1.34.405.1_4.1.13.54_03.10.90_Ship.exe. I had checked it and this is a newer version then mine now.
But i am affraid that if i update my S710 that the device is locked again. Can i update it without getting in trouble with a locked device? So that i can still use my sim-card. You guys have any experience with this?

I doubt flashing the new rom will lock your phone up.
but, even if it does why can't you just unlock it again?

Well ive updated my device and like you all sayd nothing happend. The rom 1.34**** is installed and its still unlocked =)
i tried to update my rom with one with windows mobile 6 but the intall session was stopped at 99% and now when restart my wizard compare the 3 color screen and i don't know how i can do to resolve this problem do you can help my please? thanks a lot.

To upgrade the phone to wm6,its required to be SIM/CID unlocked,read the unlocking and upgrading threads in the 'Wizard Upgrading' forum posted as 'Stickies'.After CID unlocking,you'll be able to upgrade to wm6.

i know sim unlocked but i don't know about cid bcoz when i appear this phone was stuck on bootloader

it isn't very difficult to install. Look around for instructions (Soft/HardSPL thread).
How do you flash with the bootloader showing?
My Wizard 200 only comes up in Bootloader screen.
ActiveSync does not connect with it.
When I run the rom upgrade it tells me it can not find it.
So how do I get it to boot normally again?
This happened while flashing a rom....

there is no problem, just connect your wizard in bootloader mode and run RUU to make the hard spl or soft spl

I downloaded Official WM 6.1 Upgrade from HTC http://member.htc.com/downloadfiles....0_radio_sign_25.83.40.02_1.65.16.25_Ship.zip
and after running that... My system is dead slow and also unable to install few program like Schap's Advance Configurator etc and other issues like
System Reboot time increases....
GPS taking too much time for a Fix
Menu Pop down slowly...
Stucks quite often
.... And after every hour or so the Message popup like that " Please Inform Microsoft about this issue ...... "
Since i am not a computer Geek... Please advice some simple solution ...
Though i also download the official RUU from HTC which released on 21-2-08 but when i run that it tells me that " THIS UPDATE IS NOT FOR YOUR DEVICE " after the SPL screen...
So, is there anyway that i revert back to original System dated 28-8-07

not sure what you mean by dead slow. First off, the warning that you get that the rom isn't for your device tells me you are not CID unlock. You can always CID unlock your phone and then put it back to the original SPL if you want to keep things back to normal.

Well it takes time to respond to the command... e.g. if i click on the START then it took quite a time for a menu to pop down....... as far as CID unlock... i am not sure....
But i purchased my tytn II from UK as a sim free unit @ 455 pounds... and before that WM 6.1 upgrade, i never played with the ROM or firmware... no SPL nothing anysort run on my unit.... I just run the RUU directly from PC and follow the on screen instructions....

this tornado c6oo is driving me in sane;i tried to upgrade it with a 6.1 rom;everything was goin ok untill the upgrading got finished then the smartphone restarted and went stuck on bootloader;i restarted it hundreds of times but nothing new;alllways in bootloader mode,plsssss help;i really need ur help coz i have no other phone at the moment wa333333

hi, did you also replace radio rom or spl? the good news is that your device's ipl its's ok since you can get in bootloader mode, btw, please post here the bootloader informations

annd y my tera term pro v.4 does not work;coz wen i connect the tornado;i run tera term pro and a page appears 196.168.1.3 AND wen i click on ok it says connecting,and after some seconds it says CONNECTION TIMED OUT ( by the way the activesync is disabled)
