Has anyone else experienced the touch screen becoming unresponsive? It happened first after updating to the EVA8 software version. Everytime I do a factory reset the watch will work fine for a day or two, then it gets worse to the extent I have to reboot the watch several times a day.

i have standard one 44mm and there is no problems like that in my watch. After format are you resotring backup or do you set it up from scratch and did you try to use it without any custom app instaled for some time to check if problem will show on clean watch?

No, I've not restored any backups, and the only things I've installed are a few official Samsung watchfaces. I've done a factory reset this morning, so I won't add the watch faces for a day or too, but so far the touch screen has been fine.

It happened to my watch 4 classic after the EVA8 update also. I thought it was because I used a custom watch face (pixel one), but it also happend on a stock watch face. Now I'm using another stock watchface and it seems not to happen anymore. It's definitely a bug. I wondering if it has something to do with the reported AOD bug (because I don't use AOD, maybe this is how it's manifesting). Do you use AOD?

No mate, I don't use AOD either. I only installed the Frontier watch face, straight from the Gear Wear app. My watch got the latest EVB4 update today, so I've reinstalled the Frontier watch face to see what happens. Cheers.

Try to reset the watch. Cut the BT on the phone so it doesn't start pairing, go into the tools on the watch and chose reset.
Put the watch off and now delete pairing on the phone and reboot it to be sure the watch is no longer paired.
Now start the pairing process all over.
Hope this helps

Mine too. Suddenly decided after a week to continually disconnect from phone. Get a message saying 'unfortunately smartwatch 2 had stopped working'. Tried every reset. Annoyingly it works fine on my wife's galaxy s4. Really hope it's not the z1 that's knackered! Returning on Monday.

If it works fine with your wife's s4 than its not the problem with the watch.
Its the problem on your phone with smartwatch 2 app.
Try to delete data and reinstall app on phone, delete pairing and reset watch and start again.

Yeah, hopefully mine will be picked up today, but I'm told it may be up to 14 days for replacement. And they kept talking about repair when talking on the phone when it was DOA, hopefully they took on board that it just needs replaced...

Hey everyone,
I am very excited about possibilities the Gear S will have. But I already have a gear 2 neo so my question is, do we get a nice Tizen update soon ?? Anyone found any information ?
My Gear Manager is updating now, and its either a pretty huge update or it's bugged because it's froze on "Installing 2/2" and has been on that screen for over an hour

Nope nothing heart yet. But check the tizenexperts.com site. It will post any rumors or news about tizen pretty quick.
Just got my Samsung Gear s2 today and love it so far except for s health. I can't get anything to work. I've been walking all over the place and it's not registering any steps. When I do my heart rate it says try again and nothing registers. I've been researching this for a couple of hours now and I keep coming across something that talks about the s health manager and I have yest to find that. Is it something on my phone or on the watch itself.? What am I doing wrong?
What phone are you using? S Health features only work with Samsung phones.

That's not entirely correct. I'm using all of those features on a Huawei Mate 7 with no issues.

Really? Well, that is good news for people who do not have a Samsung phone. I read it in a review of the GS2 and originally the S Health app was only available through the Samsung app store. I double checked and it is indeed now available in Google Play.
Thanks for this insight!

I am using a Samsung mega. I finally got it to work. Well what I should say is I went back and did a factory reset and then it worked fine. Now if I can just figure out how to make the sleep quality part work. All it registers is how many hours I sleep (or don't sleep) and I have to put that in manually.

It doesn't track sleep like you are looking for. I'm guessing that may be coming in a future update.

The first one I had did the same thing yours did. I had to reset it to get steps and heart rate to work. I had lots of trouble with notifications on this watch as well and was having to reset it all the time. I took it back and swapped it and the second one has worked near perfect. I think it has only missed one notification so far and the other one was about 50/50. I would watch it close and return it if need be while you can.
Has anyone ever seen an issue like seen in the picture (horizontal dark bands across the Gear S2 screen). I've only had the watch two weeks and this happened. I've tried soft and hard resets to no avail.
I have the same issue and can't find an answer to it anywhere. My S2 is only a week old
Hey guys,
I had the same after a watchface always ON fail... I've planned to send it back to after-sale... But 2 days after, all the line just disapaers...

Since it is still under warranty I filled out an online request for service. They emailed me a shipping label and I sent it off to Plano, TX on Saturday. The status today says "Replaced LCD" and now it's back in the mail to me. We'll see...

No. I actually fixed it today. There was a recent firmware update on the watch and one of the custom watchfaces that I had previously installed must've been causing the problem. I did multiple factory resets, but I keep trying to keep the watchfaces that I had already downloaded...that wasn't resolving the issue. I did a complete factory reset today and wiped out all the custom watchfaces and the problem disappeared. I'm happy now!! Thanks Mikoube for your help!!
You're welcome
Hello! I'm having the exact same issue. Can you explain what you did to fix it? Did you erase all the downloaded faces and then do a hard factory reset? Or vise versa? I'm at work right now and would love to achieve your same results since it happened 2 hours after my Warranty expired ??.
Here's how I fixed mine: Sent it back for repair. Waited a week. Received a fixed watch.

Hey shinta,
The fact is that one off your watchface is causing trouble to tizen. So Try to make a full factory reset. It should solve your issue.
So i got these same lines on my device lastnight. It is mainly noticable when I turn on Aod. I dont want to bother with rma on a 2 month old device if this is going to fix itself. I tryed a few resets and its still there now. I dont mind waiting a few days though.
edit:
My gear s2 screen is working fine now. It only had the lines for 3 days. I will keep a close eye on it though and update if it returns.
Same issue, I did factory reset and deleted all downloaded Wacho faces . Still the problem!

The bands were back a few weeks ago... I figured that when I set the brightness to "1", the band are little and when I put on "10", they are bigger.
So I tried to let the watch during 1 day with a brightness of "1". The day after all band were gone...
Hope this can help some of you guys.
Enjoy.
Same problem with the screen of mi gear fit 2 band, resolved only changing the screen

Same problem here, I turned it on, and it was fine, then I UPDATED a few apps and faces and lost network, after that the problem started, so I belive its a software issue and not hardware, could be coincidence, its a month old watch...
My watch is 5 months old and I just have this problem last night

I do not remember authorizing any updates, but this started last year in December. And I did have it set to auto update. I had called Samsung support they told me my battery was shot and they could replace it and since my warrenty was expired it would be almost 200.00. So the watch has been sitting since then.
