New Tizen ? - Samsung Gear 2

Hey everyone,
I am very excited about possibilities the Gear S will have. But I already have a gear 2 neo so my question is, do we get a nice Tizen update soon ?? Anyone found any information ?

My Gear Manager is updating now, and its either a pretty huge update or it's bugged because it's froze on "Installing 2/2" and has been on that screen for over an hour

And also, an hour seems weird to me... maybe restart your phone and see what happens.

I see a press release on the Fleksy website saying that the keyboard is now available for the Gear 2. I would like to know how to install it. I see videos and such showing how to do it on the old Galaxy Gear but since the OS change I am not sure the same ADB process is the same. I would like to know how to install this and see how it works.
Since I am a new user I can't post links but if you search gear 2 keyboard you will find it.

I have version 2.8 on phone and watch. Maybe don't worry about what version you have... It will update real soon if your not on the latest update, there is nothing wrong with your watch mate
Go to Playstore ON Watch. You will find an update for "Android Wear", and it update the watch to 2.8

Same situation here. We'll have to be patient as you said...
No update yet in Sydney Australia :crying:
Just to let you know guys... This isn't the Oreo update. This is just a minor update that just seems to take advantage of amoled screens. After the update my watch is still running 7.1.1
so i am in Germany, and still not received the 2.8 update.
i searched for it in Play Store .. nothing (watch & phone).
I have searched for it on "apkmirror" found it, installed it on the phone.
so far so good....but the Watch wont update to the 2.8 Version...I don't understand.
i will have to wait

Yeah, it's somehow annoying, considering all the hype and still Google rolls it out fast as a giant snail, I mean I understand that not everyone can receive it the same time but it was announced 5 days ago and there're still not to much wearables around, one might think that Google easily provides this update in a short period of time...
TL;DR
Yup, no AW 2.8 update in Germany
- store shows only AW 2.7
Edit:
For everyone who still hasn't got the AW 2.8 update (like me in Germany) just download the apk for the watch from here:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...id-wear-2-8-0-182596874-android-apk-download/
And use "adb install -r" this will update the app without losing your settings worked just fine - the apk for the phone can be found here...
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...-182413461-gms-android-apk-download/download/
Finally, just received 2.8. It automatically downloaded on to my HW2 without me even noticing. Sydney Australia has now caught up with the rest of the world
I can confirm that Android Wear 2.8.0.183 came up on my phone and watch today, Just downloaded and the black theme is great!
Im in Iran
Got the update today. I live in Sweden. I really like this new look
UK have update.

Samsung releases Tizen 4.0.0.2 for S3 Frontier!

Looks like it's not in the news yet, so here we go.
Got an update this morning: tizen 4.0.0.2 has arrived! Software version R760XXU2DSA1! :victory:
File size approx 300Mb
Pretty stoked to see Samsung taking care of more/less dated watch. Probably last update before new Galaxy sport rolls out.
Thoughts, ideas, etc..?
@adfree, it happened!
Nice, saw this on SamMobile. Does anyone know how to force the update? I have the S3 Frontier on Verizon.
They started to roll the update out a few hours ago.. give it a few days, I'm sure you'll get it.
Just got it on my S3 Classic R770XXU2DSA1 , 301 Mb

Did someone find out how selecting the source app for music is supposed to work? On mine gear sport I can't figure it out. Music app looks and works like before.

It probably doesn't help you since I have the s3 frontier but I hit the 3 dot menu on the side, then I hit the phone looking icon that says music player. That brings up where you can select the source app

Thanks for your answer. Just minutes ago, there was no 3 dot menu on my watch. But now, after updating the gear s plugin on my phone, it is there. Now I am able to choose, too!
No update here. Frontier s3 watch only. Ireland.
Not that i need it.. 3 days battery is enough for me so far.

Tizen 4 Update - Optional paid Health Widget?

Hey there,
After installing the Tizen 4 update today, I saw some message about a discounted Health widget but have no idea where to find it. Can anyone provide more info?
I dont have it yet, but are you sure it didn't say "discontinued?" Perhaps you were using one that was replaced by something new?

It's possible! I was half asleep when I installed the update. lol
yes the health widget is discontinued, this is the one that showed the whole day and if you were active, or inactive or sleeping etc.
there isn't a widget that shows all this information in tizen 4.0,

I do not remember authorizing any updates, but this started last year in December. And I did have it set to auto update. I had called Samsung support they told me my battery was shot and they could replace it and since my warrenty was expired it would be almost 200.00. So the watch has been sitting since then.
