Hi guys, I'd like to know if it would be possible to increase the amount of volume steps on Xperia 5 Mk II? I'm interested in something that LG used to offer, which is 1% increases in volume. Also, I'm new here so please use plain English, cheers

There are some ways but sound gets distorted so if you like good sound you need to get better headphones. You need high sensitivity headphones that are more sensitive than 106Db.

Don't compare EarPod of iPhone5 with generic Sony headsets. If you want better sound buy a Dr. drey beats one. Sound quality of Xperia L is awesome. The bundled headphone is not that good because it is not expensive like apple.
I can provide mod for increasing the volume on headset only,but quality may decrease...
Hey guys, Ive been having this problem, that at certain times, for example at the gym or a crowded bus, where there are a lot of loud sounds around you, the maximum media volume is not enough for me. I used to have Note 2 with the same problem, but I just rooted it and modified sound config file, but I really want to avoid rooting S6, since its a superior phone and i dont need any benefits root might offer. So is there a way to increase maximum heaphone volume, without rooting your phone? I am using medium-range sony earbuds, hated the new Apple like S6 stock ones (by the way, what do you think of them?), and atm I dont have spare cash for a new model, so replacing the earbuds is out of the question. If not, what is the least-system-modifying root and sound mod? I want to stay as close to stock as possible.
The only way I know of is to root.. because the mixer.xml file is in system.
How bad is the volume levels on the LG G2? I want to customize the Mixer Paths to be like my Galaxy Avant, and make it RX1, and RX2 to be level 93, and the HPHL volume to be 20. that is how I currently have my Avant set, so I never have to worry about my volume not being loud enough ever. Please give me advise on this, and tell me the current levels for the G2, thanks
You can get sound mods for the G2, don't worry. There is a volume boost mod in post #2 of this thread, and I'm sure there are others. That is just what came up first in a quick search. There is also a volume boost mod for the G2 on Lollipop here.

Do u want to take the risk? Because a phones max volume is decided based on the phone's speakers' capacity. Dont take risk of exceeding that, youll damage them

try changing music players,
i recommend using poweramp, it has powerful equaliser function and some nifty audio tweaks.
morover you could use a high quality headset.

honor have 1 small speaker , so what ever apps u used might run better sound but still u have ringing issue !
Im sure they have intentionally lowered overall sound volume from updates like all dishonest manufacturers do, hoping you will buy a new phone.

I have the OG Pixel and it has 15. I find that 6 is too low and 7 is too loud, if you know what I mean.
ya that is one of the things i normally change once i flash a custom rom. i find 20 is a pretty good middle ground for finer control without feeling like you have to press the button too many times
