Hello everybody,
Can you help me How to increase my Honor 8 maximum volume ?
Because i found my Honor 8's maximum volume still too low, do you have a tutorial to increase it, and finally be able to fully hear my music in public, specialy with earphone.
Tanks
And sorry for my english,i'm french !
Do u want to take the risk? Because a phones max volume is decided based on the phone's speakers' capacity. Dont take risk of exceeding that, youll damage them

try changing music players,
i recommend using poweramp, it has powerful equaliser function and some nifty audio tweaks.
morover you could use a high quality headset.

honor have 1 small speaker , so what ever apps u used might run better sound but still u have ringing issue !
Im sure they have intentionally lowered overall sound volume from updates like all dishonest manufacturers do, hoping you will buy a new phone.

Dear All,
I have Mate 7 MT7-L10 but the call receiver volume is too low even if it is set at its maximum. Can any one have some mod to increase its volume??
Please help.
The Mate 7 is very loud. Volume enough already two-thirds. Surely that is not defective speaker?

The Mate 7 has a low volume output even when all volume controls are set to maximum and the in-pocket mode is set. I found this to be true on the in-store demo models (3 units in different stores and countries) and my own unit. The ring volume and alert volumes are also lower than they should be. If one is in a quiet environment ok, but in a noisier environment, they are way too low. Perhaps Huawei should tweak the appropriate firmware to manage this problem.

Good idea. At one point it appeared as if someone from Huawei was monitoring these XDA forums. It could be useful for them. Note. Otherwise I am very pleased with the Mate 7.

Yes very right all other things are perfect in this model except low volume which can be managed by tweaking through firmware. As I have a Note 3 and was planning to buy Note 4 but I am quite satisfy with Mate 7 except this low volume issue.
I agree that the volume is low compared to other high end phones.
Has anyone found a solution yet to increase call volume when using headphones on the Mate 7? I am barely able to hear the other party during calls, even at the maximum setting.
I don't know what is the problem in your unit. Believe me this phone is the highest volume, I have ever seen. I have to reduce the volume so that other people don't listen to conversation even without speakers off.

Using the headset or the earpiece? I'm talking of using the headset. The output of the 3.5mm jack is far too low.
I found a solution, btw. I deleted the /system/etc/audio/codec folder and tadaaa - output appears at least twice as loud, both during calls and when listening to music. Previously, I had to set my car's stereo to volume setting 25 (I usually use 15 when listening to the radio) to be able to hear something on the autobahn, now I only need to set it to 12-15.
So there definitely was an issue with output on the headphone jack, and for my device it is now solved.

Alright I thought you saynig earpiece.. or loud speaker...
but you mentioned you deleted codecs in system audio ..
now go and check your video recording and you will hear distorted audio
check pls and let me know..
i know this trick long time ago and I did it on earlier phones (i think on lg) and audio in video recording was wrong.. don't remember now if it was left or right

Everything's just fine. I know it's always a risk tinkering with the system, which is why I made a backup of the codec folder just in case. But so far, no issues at all in daily use.

Hello
I went to Sam Smith's concert in Lille (France) tuesday, tried to record a short extract of his performance but the sound is horrible. My girlfriend has an iPhone 5S and the sound quality is perfect.
Do you experience a ****ty sound quality in noisy sound conditions too ?
How to fix that ?
Sample Honor 6 : https://plus.google.com/117302260800656329753/posts/4pw7ufZNRSJ?pid=6132892992149710754&oid=117302260800656329753
IPhone 5S : https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwNX7iCXyoPdYWJ2UHhoMWkxaXM/edit?usp=docslist_api
:crying:
Not sure how you're supposed to enjoy a concert being a static tripod.
Thanks daddy but you dont solve the problem of thé sound recording on Honor 6 in loud environement being terrible
I don't play for that team sorry...
@theoneofgod Compare the two videos I posted and tell me if it's normal that Honor 6 has so bad sound ? The problem is that they didn't optimize their Kirin Chips and it's the result...

It's nothing to do with the chipset but their microphone calibrations/software.

Back in the days when I had a Galaxy S4, with Cyanogen i had the same issue but with stock rom no problem
I think they didn't optimize the "drivers" for the phone, but it's lame
A 300€ device should not have this kind of issue

You need to send this directly to Honor themselves via Facebook or Twitter or whatever they use. If they hear you they might fix it but don't get your hopes up.
Same here.I went on a psy party and the sound was crap..Does the honor 6 + have the same microphone?I think it's hardware prob:crying:

It certainly has Contacted Honor, but no answer yet
It's really a game changer for me since I go to many festivals and concerts
Moreover I can't record my self playing music with it... With my GALAXY S4 didn't have this issue, the sound was clear, with bass too

I'm not the person to ask this. It's just that Huawei haven't tested the microphone under those circumstances and many other phones and cameras have the same problem.
I edit sample rate at etc/media profiles from 48000KHZ to 44100 as they say and the prob still exist.Even moto e records perfect sound...I'm already thinking changing to meizu mx4 and i really don't want to change it..
Does the microphone issue has a fix?
Hi,
I am looking to buy this phone and already got some good feedback on the battery side. The camera I have seen some nice or good enough photos, now the matter of sound...
This issue with the microphone is quite worrying. I do not record a lot of video, but if I wanted to I want to make sure I get some nice clear audio in the recorded video. Does anyone know if this issue has a fix? I haven't seen this posted anywhere, so maybe someone has done some research better than me and found a workaround. Maybe the latest OTA fixed the issue or some of the custom roms don't have the issue?
Do we have a solution for this?Did Huawei answered?
Hi!
Have another problem: when I call to someone or pick up the phone, people with whom I spoke complained of poor audibility. But in the dictophone mode microphone level still stay absolutely normal. Looks like as program error.
Reflash & customize my phone regular, may be something wrong ((
Now I make 3-th button restore to 5.9.1 without any customization, recieve auto update to 5.9.16, but no luck.
Any idea, please?

The microphone quality on the Honour 6 Plus is also very poor when using Bluetooth handsfree.
Have tried this with many different handsfree car kits and car stereos.
It would appear the the noise reduction algorithm is reducing the mic gain with the result that the mic audio level is about 15% of what it should be. This makes it extremely difficult for callers to hear what is being said.
Phone has been replaced.
Have tried 4.4 and 5.1 - no difference
For such a fantastic phone this is a massive oversight. Looking at the Mate 8 (when it appears), but worried may have same issue
Have emailed Hauwei support about issue, but there is no resolution
Hi everyone
I have noticed that the max volume with earphones on is still too low compared to my old Note 3.
\Any way we can boost this past max volume ? I have tried all setting in audio but none has solved my issue. I think its just a fact that S6 have lower volume when earphones are on.
If possible i would prefer not to root.
Thanks !
Sorry for my bad english,

For the most part I listen to music one or even two steps lower then max volume and it is very loud ... Maybe you should not use default ear buds ... Buy better ... I have one monster by Dr dre and they are loud as hell ...

I don't have much time so I'll be quick:
When I hear music or videos without headphones I put the volume on the lowest possible volume (barely above mute).
To be frank, it's still to loud, the S8+ was not as loud as the OP7Pro but it was able to go really silent with audible sound.
Is there a mod or possibly an ADB command to lower the volume from I guess the lowest stage (≈5%) to 1, 2 or 3?
OP7Pro, Android 10, absolutely amazing phone.

I agree, the lowest speaker volume setting is still way too loud.
What I do is use Viper4Android and set all the EQ bands to -10db for the speaker.
It is not a perfect solution because this reduces the maximum volume by 10db, but I personally never need that much volume...

Yeah, need root for V4a. Don't think you'll find any other solution. Tried searching and googling for something to help, couldn't find anything.

i also have this problem , a solution would be great .
i remember on older phones there were mods to make more steps in the volume adjustment ( allow for a finer adjustment ) . maybe we can port something from there
