Hello, I think the headphones the xperia L very low, compared to the Iphone 5 that I own. there is a way to increase the volume of the Xperia L via kernel or something else? sorry my bad english, i am brazilian !

There are some ways but sound gets distorted so if you like good sound you need to get better headphones. You need high sensitivity headphones that are more sensitive than 106Db.

Don't compare EarPod of iPhone5 with generic Sony headsets. If you want better sound buy a Dr. drey beats one. Sound quality of Xperia L is awesome. The bundled headphone is not that good because it is not expensive like apple.
I can provide mod for increasing the volume on headset only,but quality may decrease...

It should not be low. I have very high volume level at my xperia c.
Did you check settings/sound/xloud ?
After xloud selection, the volume is really high

I used to have a Sony Z2 with doomkernel installed with fauxsound enable. It was the greatest music sounding phone i ever had. So i made a mistake. I got a Z3. Yes the sound is awesome. Beats everything else EXCEPT the volume. It is too low. Androplus kernel does not enable sound driver v3.6, every volume booster on playstore does not work. And i am giving up. Is there anyway to make it louder? My iphone 5s can drive my sennheiser hd 598. My z3 cant. Its too weak a volume. Bluetooth audio is loud. But not wired headset. I even used my ordnance .22 portable amp to boost the volume but still, its not very compact. Contemplating to go back to Z2.
TLDR, anyone knows how to make z3 volume louder, root or non root?

Just fyi, volume boost by kibohely works pretty well if you are using NC31. But DSEE must be enable and u have to keep switching the NC on and off till the music becomes stereo. Other headphones will not work and sound output is mono.
I will wait for any replies that might help. And if they're is no solution, back to iPhone. Sony need to remove this volume limit since PSP days...

I updated my phone to 23.4.A.1.230 and 23.4.A.1.232
I noticed that the speakers volume now is noticeably lower !!! it has more bass now but lower !! my Z3 has Z3+ speakers now!!
I was shocked comparing to an another Z3 phone.. I thought I have dirt in my speakers I cleaned them but after that I thought that If I have dirt it will not be in the both of the speakers in the same time!!
and I remember that the "stereo notification zip" was not working before the developer updated it.. So YES MAYBE!!... Sony changed something with the sound driver!!

Well, I haven't noticed any changes in that. Seems to be the way it was before. Maybe the fault is in your phones speakrs. ;/

The speaker volume and headphone volume are quite low compared to my old s7 edge. Anyone know a way of boosting it? But underwhelmed by the Hi res Audi support too.....do you have to use the built in app to get hi res quality?

You need to wait to Root. If you check the Sony CrossDev forum, you'll notice custom sound solutions that increase the volume, quality of sound. Also the waterproofing causes the default loudspeaker volume to be a tad lower than other phones
It's mainly the headphone volume I've noticed. I remember having a Sony Walkman in the 80's and noticed the volume was lower than others then. Maybe it's a Sony thing, I like my music loud.
