Hi everyone, there Is a mode to change nits values? (Near 550 maybe)?
PS: Sorry for bad english
Thats some hard task. Might need a kernel for that or need to edit an image in one of the partitions of the phone like they did on mi9t series(they overclocked their screens to 80hz afaik).
but i think this is a good smartphone but under the sun i can't see anithing

Blame it on its IPS panel which is an inherent flaw.

I ave mine at 130 and love it
What exactly does this do? Does it make the viewing angles better at all?
Its like changing the screen resolution on a computer.
Does it affect battery life at all? Any other drawbacks?
A better question is: "how did you accomplish this?"
App or editing of some config file?

You can edit /system/build.prop on gingerbread, I bet its the same for Froyo, but I am not positive. Or you can use an app. I use LCD Density Changer to change it, but you need to be rooted. Personally I run 130 too and I love it.

It could, theoretically, cause apps to take more GPU or CPU to render, which could change the battery life, but I have not had that happen to any noticeable extent. It also might slow down the rom a bit because of it theoretically needing more GPU or CPU, but again I have not noticed this. Some apps will not display right at lower density values, for example pandora will not center or scale the images correctly and it will look a bit odd because of that.

Yes it basically makes it look like its running at a higher resolution because it changes the PPI, but since the actual monitor is at the same resolution the pixles will not become smaller. It will just shrink everything it displays, which will sometimes make small images and text become a bit rough looking around the edges if you go with a very low setting. Some apps will cause more of a problem than others.
thanks for that long description. I've noticed a bit of unresponsiveness...but i've only had my G-Tab for a couple days so I don't know if its the ROM, the GT, or LCD changer.

I have not noticed any change on my phone, but then again I also run Evervolv (2.3 rom) and it might depend on what version of android, what kernel, what CPU scheduler, etc. As far as the tablet, since I have been working on a rom for it (flashing it several times a day) It's really hard to say, sorry I can't be of more help.
In manual mode I can only get up to ISO 800 ,I must be missing something ,stock ROM any ideas ?
Change the resolution.
ive gone down to 8MP and i can only move up to 3200 ISO ... any other ideas?
Think that's it!

Next step, change scene to "High Sensitivity" or "High ISO" mode. Not sure what the english term is, my phone's in dutch..
You still cant change it to higher then 3200 manually, but it will go up to 12800 or something.

Yep, not manual mode though. I suspect that either Sony are lying when they describe the ISO can go that high, or they are afraid to let you use that high an ISO in manual mode because they want to perform a bunch of clean-up logic to compensate for all the noise. Maybe they're afraid people will change the ISO and then accuse the camera of being noisy? If the latter it would be nice is manual users could "unlock" the higher settings and let us decide if it's too noisy!

Well, I've seen the ISO that high in the specific setting so they're not lying. It's just that not all features are available in all modes (which can also be a bit of a nasty trick of course).
And indeed, the pics start to look like oil paintings with such high iso, but that is as I'd expect and it is still quite funny what you can do with it though.

I've seen dodgy little Chinese mp3 players reporting 2 gigs of ram, means nothing to me; it's just a string of characters (they actually contained 256 megs of ram).
Hi Community,
i am really new to smartphone hardware and dont have much knowledge, so sorry if my question is a bit stupid ^^
I am owning an UMI Zero with the Sony IMX214 Exmor 13 MP Camera Sensor. With the original Software this sensor produces so much noise, the pictures really aren`t good.
So i was locking for other devices ( Phone´s / Dashcams ) with exactly the same Sensor. For me it seems like that other devices handle this sensor way better than my Phone.
Also this Sensor should not be bad i`ve read. So i wonder if there is any way to tweak my cam ? I installed a Custom Rom on my Umi and it really feels like pictures are looking much better now.
Also i`ve read ssenssor specifications and saw that this sensor is able to record 4k in 30 fps. Is it possible to unlock this features somehow? Is anyone willed to help / explain me why or why not? Is it more a hardware thing like Digital Analog Conveerters which are used or OP amps which are used in hadrware? Or is there a way
that Software can improve this really much ? Maybe there is a possibility to install another camera driver to my Phone?
PS: I am really sorry if this is the wrong section ! I am pretty new to this forum, if anything is wrong pls tell me !
Thank you very much !
Greetings,
Dom
This is a combined of software and hardware.
Your custom rom ave enhanced the software to limits now if you know a genius then go to haim and get hardware twicked othwrwise this is it man.
You have done what anyone can do.
But if you are mot satisfied then just check the file at this path on android
/system/etc/media_profiles.xml
And if you know what you are doing go ahead amd mood it.
Peace
Hi guys,
Having the Red MAgic 3, I am asking myself a question.
If I look at official site, it is said that it has a 6.65" AMOLED display.
OK.
But is this really true ?
If so, here are two questions :
- 1°) if it is AMOLED, why is there no "Always On Display" option that EVERY other OLED/AMOLED phone has ?
- 2°) if it AMOLED why does it look closer to my Xiaomi mi Max 3 than my Mate 20x or Galaxy A70 ? It's like a little "washed out" compared to Mate 20x even with "Vibrant colour" enabled.
Is there a way to check if it is AMOLED or any other technology or do we have to rely on the manufacturer description ?
Is there a way to have an app that will allow to set the display contrast/hue/saturation ?
Regards.

1. Yes, it's AMOLED. For some reason Nubia stripped out many of the options that were include in the Chinese rom. So no always on display.
2. It's a lower quality AMOLED panel. Because Nubia stripped out many of the options there is no way to adjust colors, contrast, hue, color temperature, etc.
It's a very bright-coloured AMOLED screen

Hum... Really ? Then I may have a defective unit !
Mine is really not "bright". Let alone "coloured". It"s more "washed out" here... at least compared to Huawei Mate 20x which also AMOLED I think...
I took an app that allows to set brightness, contrast and RGB. Will see if that is working all right.
Regards.
maybe you have a defective phone, since it is really amoled

Because it's Nubia, and it'll be up to us to fix it ourselves with root and a rom
Hello ppl! Im thunking to order a note s20 ultra with snapdragon to Greece... but i know that greek language not supported... IS there any way without root to add Rom or multi language ?
I also HEard that note 20 ultra screen has burn in...
I have yet to come across the internet about the burn-in issue on the N20U can you lead us to that link?
Keep the brightness at 50% or less. Try to avoid exposure to direct sunlight when possible.
Not burn in; that happened on CRTs. The phosphors were physically burned by the electron beam.
OLEDs have a finite lifespan higher output/duty cycles and probably heat shortens it.
White is the most damaging, red the least.

Anywhere from 1800 to 100,000 hours lifespan depending on the manufacturer, color and brightness level.
Blue has the shortest lifespan.
Knowing this I keep blues and whites to a minimum and rarely go beyond 50% brightness.
Dark mode and very dark wallpaper if not black.
At almost 1 year my 10+ exhibits no perceivable decrease in light output including blue.

Did you just quote a reddit post about the S20 Ultra from over 178 days ago??... please provide evidence of screen burn in for the Note 20 Ultra... Which uses a different panel than the S20 Ultra, otherwise you are just speculating which is no good... Can't help if it's not accurate information
I've the Note 20 U, SD865+, but i don't see greek as an option. when you list all languages available -- there's a long long list -- probably 100.. but Greek isn't one of them. Sorry.
Ps. i doubt it's got anything to do with SD vs. Exynos.

A Samsung Experience center can do it. Samsung has Greek language variants just not normally an option in most regions from what I can see.
I don't live in a SD region either in Asia, but most Asian languages are here.
See the full list in the pic.

Every OLED screen thus far has had screen burn-in. It is not speculation that the Note 20's will also have screen burn-in. Until there is an official announcement in the tech world that OLED screens have been developed to lessen or eliminate screen burn, then it is a given, not speculation. Hope that was clear enough.

You miss the point...OP stated that there were reports of screen burn in and provided a source... Only his source does not report any current compliants about excessive screen burn in with the N20U.... Just a reddit post from a user on the screen burn in on a S20U.... Screen burn in is a thing, yet if there is a legitimate concern about excessive screen burn in, please provide the source as to benefit everyone else....

A Samsung fan? In a forum specifically for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra? Ok!.... What am saying is that if there is an actual concern about excessive screen burn in on Note 20 Ultra, then please provide said source and not a concern about excessive screen burn in on another model...A relevant source would benefit everyone here as it would directly pertain to the N20U and not any other model
