Is this normal with Android Radio + Carlinkit Carplay Dongle - MTCD Android Head Units Q&A

I have a Xtrons Android 10 head unit, and bought (via Amazon) a Carlinkit Carplay Wireless dongle and connected this to my Head Unit. Every thing works fine only when i change volume the Android HUD comes in screen. I have a video of the issue.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-21Rcme0mjU
Is this normal or is there a option which a can change and fix the issue? Does CarPlay dont have a Volume hud it self?

Is it an MTCD/E? What does reseller say about issue when contacted for support?

Yes its a MTCD/E, did reach out to them but still no reply so i was hoping to get an answer here

CarPlay doesn’t have any volume control or HUD. The phone defaults to outputting at full volume and the head unit does the rest.

ISDB-T Digital TV tuner Controllable via Headunit Touchscreen?

Any suggestion?
I have Px5 MTCE headunit from Klyde.
Thanks everyone.
almost same question as above. PX5 MTCE Dasaita 10.2 with ISDB -T, the factory tv tuner but not working in my area. i am swapping it with another tuner (working) with the automotive multi pin connector for the power, composite video signal and the UART tx/rx signals. anyone knows the "nuts and bolts" for the protocol?

What's your Country's DTV standard?
Your factory TV Tuner is built-in or external? Thanks.

it is ISDB-T for south america, japan, philipines etc. the dasaita tv tuner (external) is for japan market with mini B CAS which i think is the reason it will not pick up the signal. i purchased another tuner that works ( same standard ) and i can tap to the composite video signals for signal display without problem. however, the HU commands to scan/change channels of course does not work even with correct tx/rx pairing of the wires between HU and tuner. someone here had hacked this before?

Will this work (touchscreen control) with my Klyde PX5 MTCE headunit?
Can't find Klyde branded one.
Any idea? Thanks

CAN adapter - Help needed (Mercedes)

Hi All,
I need to find some info for the Can adapter so i can fix my issue and help other people with similar problems too .Owner of an MTCD PX5 unit, specific for Mercedes ML (W164) that came with the Can adapter.
From day one the steer wheel buttons worked (vol up/down, phone) and reverse camera out of the box BUT i had no vehicle info at all (door opened, fuel level, temperature, parking sensors etc) as many of the users especially on VW units have. The car is a 2010 model therefore the canbus info should be plenty. Tried all the combinations of CanBus under the extra settings with no luck.
One think i noticed is that i had NO Vehicle.apk or microntek apk and MTCCanbus.apk installed on the unit. I tried to install but installation was failing for both. Even copying to system/app/** didn't worked.
Any idea ?
BTW Anyone knows what is the Knob Mode under extra settings ? Mine is set to : 2 10k/20K ADC Ports
Details:
Unit: MTCD PX5
MCU: MTCE_GS_V3.00_3
ROM: Halk9 Mod 3.1 (Android 8)
Can Adapter : GS 10280514 / HW:V2 SW:V3
Can adapter Setting: 23 Benz_B200(simple)
Hi, i have the same car the same headunit and the same problem.

Good to know that this is a generic issue and not specific to my unit and car. It seems a lot of people with Mercedes cars have similar problems. I wonder if this is related with the cheap implementation of the Chinese Can adapters or related with the car.
Will keep searching
Another thread is open with more technical details for similar issue, more HW oriented though here > https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/mtcd-discussion-questions-development
I have the same car w164 and px5 android 8
The same problem.
No I have more problems the canbas stop working no reverse camera no Wheel key vol working and no led light on unit key, I think my canbus dead ?

Question TEYES CC3 AB2

Good afternoon, someone knows how to improve the audio of bluetooth calls, it's too low, I can't hear the other person no matter how much I turn up the volume on the radio.
Also when I call or they call me it only shows the contact number but not the name. How to fix this or is it?.
I would be interested in the same thing.
For me what my plan is to:
- change volume of BT call in Factory Settings all the way up (already done)
- install an external electret condeser directional microphone (to do that I am still working on an electric module that will give a stable 5V bias voltage to the mic, which I will connect to the headunit external mic.
Other than that, I believe all the rest can be done by firmware update by Teyes. I don't thinks its hardware fault.

You should also turn up the Bluetooth volume on your phone when it's connected. If that's too low, the Amp on the radio can't push it much either.

Yes, I guess we need to wait and hope that they will change that. Eventually.

My CarPlay in CC3 is wireless for my iPhone so yes it’s wireless
Many units support wireless Apple Carplay but NOT wireless Android Auto, only wired.

Correction: They provide an emulated/hack of Carplay and AA - which invariably break with updates.
My CC3 can do wireless Android Auto, tested and confirmed
Hello Khan187, which CC3 did you buy, 3,4, 6GB that support AA wireless and where did you purchase it? if you don't mind. I also, would like to know the audio quality when you are in a phone call. I have a YT7260B and the phone quality is bad, people repeat to themself and sometime they hear me little noisy, I am planning in getting a Teyes CC3. thanks

Question Any FYT units that supports TV module??

Hi, I am currently using the MTCD Dasaita PX6 unit which has a TV module that plugs directly into one of the rear connector.
I can use the TV app and a https://xender.vip/ lso switch channels from the touch screen giving it a very integrated experience.
The TV module is only power-on automatically when the TV app is launched thus some power saving there.
Am looking to upgrade to an FYT unit but https://nox.tips/ so far none of them seems to support a TV module. Not looking at RCA in kind where there is no integration and can't switch channels using the touch screen.
Does anyone knows of any?
Hi there, yeah I am in the same boat as you. Currently on Dasaita PX6 and looking to upgrade to a UIS7862 unit for improved performance.
So far it seems no manufacturer has tackle this TV integration issue for the FYT units which is a bummer.
Only solution is via RCA in and switching channels with the supplied remote control
