Question TEYES CC3 AB2 - FYT Android Head Units

Good afternoon, someone knows how to improve the audio of bluetooth calls, it's too low, I can't hear the other person no matter how much I turn up the volume on the radio.
Also when I call or they call me it only shows the contact number but not the name. How to fix this or is it?.

I would be interested in the same thing.
For me what my plan is to:
- change volume of BT call in Factory Settings all the way up (already done)
- install an external electret condeser directional microphone (to do that I am still working on an electric module that will give a stable 5V bias voltage to the mic, which I will connect to the headunit external mic.
Other than that, I believe all the rest can be done by firmware update by Teyes. I don't thinks its hardware fault.

You should also turn up the Bluetooth volume on your phone when it's connected. If that's too low, the Amp on the radio can't push it much either.

Yes, I guess we need to wait and hope that they will change that. Eventually.

My CarPlay in CC3 is wireless for my iPhone so yes it’s wireless

Many units support wireless Apple Carplay but NOT wireless Android Auto, only wired.

Correction: They provide an emulated/hack of Carplay and AA - which invariably break with updates.

My CC3 can do wireless Android Auto, tested and confirmed

Hello Khan187, which CC3 did you buy, 3,4, 6GB that support AA wireless and where did you purchase it? if you don't mind. I also, would like to know the audio quality when you are in a phone call. I have a YT7260B and the phone quality is bad, people repeat to themself and sometime they hear me little noisy, I am planning in getting a Teyes CC3. thanks

Is this normal with Android Radio + Carlinkit Carplay Dongle

I have a Xtrons Android 10 head unit, and bought (via Amazon) a Carlinkit Carplay Wireless dongle and connected this to my Head Unit. Every thing works fine only when i change volume the Android HUD comes in screen. I have a video of the issue.

Is this normal or is there a option which a can change and fix the issue? Does CarPlay dont have a Volume hud it self?

Yes its a MTCD/E, did reach out to them but still no reply so i was hoping to get an answer here
CarPlay doesn’t have any volume control or HUD. The phone defaults to outputting at full volume and the head unit does the rest.

Question CC3 Skoda Superb 3 Model 2016

Hi at all.
I have recently built in a CC3 device.
And I have some questions about hardware and software. Maybe someone can help.
1: why is it, that the screen for air-conditioning, temperature etc. spontaneously pops up and don't dissappear by itself?
2: why is there only beep sounds from the parking distance control and no car symbol with colored waves (green to red)
3: why can't I choose YouTube as music widget, as described in teyes installation videos
4: can I change the widgets at all? New functions like whether forecast or GPS status instead of radio stations
Thanks in advance.
Greets, Sebastian
Hi i have similar problems with a skoda superb 3 2017, i am trying to find a good canbus configuration. Now i can see all car settings, cannot see call log, microphone is low, no graphics and beeps from rear sensors, volum from drive wheel is reversed.
I have tried both with rzc canbus and hi world canbus.
I have installed the aditional mic still same,
If i install the sim i can used only for data,
Please advise if i have to update it or anything to make it better, so far i want to uninstall it and use oem.
Hi Sebytech, I didn't found any solution so far. I am in contact with the support from AU and waiting for an answer. And still waiting for my MOST adapter. Have no sound at all.
But my vol. button is working.
No sound? Can you show me a few pics with what you have? And the settings of the canbus? I personally purchased another adapter and stereo sound inhave fromthe one purchased from au. My volume works from steering wheel is just upside down. Not sure if i need to do mcu update

Volume reverse is a setting: Factory -> Reversal Volume.
Same for reversal previous-next. Factory -> Reversal previous next
And if you have a CC3, why don't you read and watch the instructions and instruction videos: https://cc3.teyes.ru/en/index.html

I have no sound, because I have a built in canton sound system and digital amplifier. My quadlock connector has therefore no cables to each respective speaker. The sound is transfered to the amplifier by lightwire. When I ordered the CC3 I didn't know much about this and there was no hint on the order page. Due to a German skoda superb forum, someone told me about the need of an MOST adapter. Teyes has such an adapter in their store. I still waiting for it.
What else I am wondering about, is that the pins in my quadlock adapter is no respectively not the same as in the adapter from Teyes and some pins go nowhere. So I think, some functions are missing from the beginning.
I had a little research but, this last pic looks like a power right ? the harness, everything is the same as i have except that plug, anything else related to the amp ?

My sim card and wlan are working fine. So I opened the app Futo and checked for new versions (automatic updater) . After download and installation I opened teyes and downloaded the latest versions of all other apps.
Because I have no sound so far, I could no test it with sound. But as I received a phone call (phone was connected via BT) the CC3 showed me all needed buttons know for accepting/cancelling and ending a call.
I think i have a old version on mine, cannot find FOTA.

I am not sure, i do not know him and takes days for support to answer, i am not sure about this forum if anybody will help, but be aware about the following issue you might have with yours. Bluetooth connection will show phone but no dial list on dash, on the cc3 while on call the dial conversation stays on top..you need external mic, apparently will not use the oem one ..hopefully you will have better luck than me, i am almost there to go back to oem and just leave it...sim with lte its only for data only no phone calls. what is the point to have just data ? would have been nice to connect with the canbus and show on dash as cc3 and be able to make phone calls. Also why have a mic on the unit ? mic has to be close to u and well protected..
update me when you have setup.
Ok. I will. Have a nice day anyway.

General [Workaround][GUIDE] How to connect any BT device on Joying Android 10 head unit

I bought Joying device and i couldn't connect my custom ecu and BT from car to android head unit so i can see some parameters.
The way you can make a workaround is to name your BT device to OBDII (big letters i) you want to connect to, and when you come to BT app from joying it works.

Question EKIY T900 / UIS7862 bluetooth connection to OBD scanner

Hi
I know i have quite specific issue but maybe one of you knows how to fix this....
I bought Ekiy T900 UIS7862 specifically to use it with the app Hondash ( to do datalogging on the development car ). The problem i'm facing is that it seems the headunit is not able to connect to the BT dongle? it accepts only connections TO the headunit ?
Is there any way to make this work ?

What dongle are you using?
it is this:
OBD Scanner
The ultimate tool for monitoring, diagnostics, virtual dash for '92-'01 Honda OBD.
www.hondash.net
specific to older honda cars
@ziddey we can continue here... because that topic is not entirelly for that
I have changed the sys.fyt.bluetooth_type to 0 in config.txt
much closer... the app can see the dongle but the error message is : read failed socket closed
as if the app is not permitted to directly connect to the dongle
any hints maybe ?
and thanks for the info up untill now !

I suggest you try a dongle designed for these android headunits.
not sure what you mean by that... it works on a phone since it was made for monitoring ECU data from an android phone

I understand it worked on an android phone but you’re having problems with it. The EKIY t900 isn’t locked like the Teyes so that isn’t the issue so the issue must be compatibility with your dongle and the headunit. So for process of elimination I would suggest getting a dongle marketed for these units.
i managed to get it to work... it was paired with bluetooth_type = 1...
when i deleted the previous pairing and power cycled both devices with bluetooth_type = 0 it started working
also with bluetooth_type = 0 the wireless android auto starts to workwhich previously with 1 it didnt maybe a nice bit of information for someone

Hey I'm having a similar issue, the head unit I have doesn't see the obd2 dongle was wondering were the bluetooth_type can be changed like you did?
Got the script from here: https://github.com/hvdwolf/FYTuis7862BinRepo/tree/main/lsec_scripts
It is the ro.sf.swrotation.zip one.
I deleted the ro.sf.swrotation=90 that's in the config.txt and added bluetooth_type = 0
After that copy all the files to USB drive and connect it to the headunit... it should say something like update found and it will configure it for you

Question OBD over WIFI and the Internet

I am a recent FYT user on UIS8581A, Android 11 (fake).
I have a sim card connected to it that provides internet. When I connect WiFi with OBD, internet connectivity is broken. WiFi without internet has priority in data transmission over SIM card connectivity.
Is there any way to configure or an application that will allow you to have internet from the SIM card and OBD via WiFi at the same time?
I asked this before buying and the answer from the seller made no sense, not trusting the answer as it seemed to be just selling their Wi-Fi OBD I went OBD BT and USB which both work.
I can't force BT to work. Whatever I try won't pair. That's why I bought obd wifi which works, but disconnects the internet.
Hands down best, no connectivity issues on my uis7862 FYT and fastest OBD throughput is genuine OBDlink SX - USB connected.
USB will work as long as you have an OTG adapter in the USB cable. BT will work as long as the BT OBD's name starts with OBD and you change the default pair code in the Head Unit to match that of the BT OBD. I have the OBDlink LX which is the BT version and that works well as does a cheap ELM USB.

1. What is the name of the OBD2 unit when in bluetooth
2. Do you know what the pairing code is for the OBD2 unit, have you changed the default pairing code in the radio BT to match the OBD2 unit pairing code
3. Are there any other BT pairings on the radio.

1: OBDII
2: ok it is 1234
3: yes, my smartphone
2. so have you gone into the radio BT app and changed the default to 1234 ?
3. Remove the phone from the pairing list, the OBD2 unit has to be the only one in the list until used at least once in the OBD2 app you plan to use, then and only then re add the phone.
Note that this could still not work even if you follow the instructions correctly.
Today I try to delete each pairing and do what you tell me.
Then I write the result here.
Thanks for now
I've never had to change my head units pairing code for my ELM OBDII Bluetooth adapter.
The OBDII uses 1234. It simply asks me when I pair what the code is and accepts it.
Obdlink SX usb for the win. Bin the chinese knockoff.
Yesterday I tried to pair by changing the radio name, password and all the craziest tests I could think of but nothing.
My bluetooth screen is the first photo I attach
When I try to connect one of my three working ELM327 minis, nothing happens, I touch the symbol of the chain to connect, it asks me for the pin of the ELM module, I insert it (it is 1234), after a few seconds a message appears "pairing succeeded". But that's not true, because the chain symbol doesn't change, in Torque I don't see the module (try various versions of torque) and I can repeat the bluetooth pairing indefinitely but it never works.
Any app I use for bluettoth tells me that bluetooth is not working or can't be turned on. But if I connect a smartphone it works.
I do not know what to do

Just a general comment.
The OBD connector is on the dash, the head unit is on the dash.
Why would you want to go wireless?
Avoiding WiFi or BT where it's not necessary sounds good to me.
Ok, I have OBD1 on my old truck.
I just made my own level converter/µC/USB converter.

If you can get USB OTG to work on your radio, that's the first step.
Then the question is: what USB UART standard is it following (copying).
Usually it's FTDI, PL2303, CP2102 or CDC.
In short, I can't tell.
I'm not sure which of these are supported directly by (which) Android.
But I'd like to know.
If you have one and plug it into a PC with Windows or Linux it's easy to see what it is.
Do you even have a FYT unit? You mention "I have the same unit". Same as who? the OP?
And below "with an Android radio".

Yes, it does work with a FYT but FYT has crippled Bluetooth and USB stack/drivers. There is a very specific stepwise approach to use: forget phone, make pin-code of unit the same as pincode for ELM dongle, couple the ELM dongle, then couple the phone again (if desired). And the BT identity of your OBD dongle must start with OBD otherwise you can't pair it at all as that OBD* is hard-coded in the crippled BT program/stack/drivers of FYT.
This has already been described in many posts/threads (too many to link to) for FYT units. Do not only ask here, but search the FYT subforum.
And if your unit is not a FYT, you are even in the wrong sub-forum.
