Wifi Calling doesn't work on one specific wifi only - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello, i am on Android 10 DerpFest Offical Rom April 07/04/20, Carrier : Jio
I am facing a very weird issue.
Wifi calling works for me when connected on all wifi network except my home one.
So when i connect to my home's wifi it never works but on other wifi network it works...
Here's the interesting Part:
When i connect to my home's wifi from my pc and make a hotspot for my home's wifi to tether it and connect my phone to that hotspot then it works but why doesn't it directly work with my home wifi..
any way i can debug this or provide logs for this issue? Or any solutions?
I have wifi calling enabled and "prefer Wifi" enabled too.. any ideas?
I have two wifi connections (Max and Demonetix)
Demonetix -> My Router
Max is -> My Pc's hotspot connected to Demonetix -> Router
when i connect to Demontix it doesn't work but when i connect to Max it works
Here's the logs:
On wifi "Max" where it works (see highlighted lines:-

On wifi "Demonetix" - Where it doesn't work
Notice there is no
`[MOBILE (IWLAN) - 101] EVENT_NETWORK_INFO_CHANGED, going from CONNECTED to CONNECTED`

Is there any particular wifi router config i need?

Go to WiFi settings -> 'Your home network' -> Advanced -> Network Usage -> Treat as unmetered
Hope this helps

[How To]Active Sync via Bluetooth

Hi
I just finished figuring out, how to set up a connection to ActiveSync (AS) via Bluetooth. Thought I spread the word...
I’m German, so are my screenshots
If there are major flaws in my translation, let me know!
Tested multiple times on 2 Computers. Works fine for me...
Abstract:
1) set up a partnership
2) Add a new serial BT connection
3) Enable the new serial BT connection
4) Configure ActiveSync
5) Switch on BT on your mobile
6) Search for device and pair
7) Mobile BT config
1) Very important: You have to connect via cable (USB) first in order for AS to set up a partnership!
2) On your PC, open the advanced BT configuration. You do this by right-klicking on the BT symbol in the tray (1). Go to local services and add a new serial bluetooth connection (3) (a ComPort).

}
You can make sure, the ComPort has been added by opening your Device Manager and checking, if the approproate Port shows upt under connections:
3)Now go to "My Devices" (1) by double clicking the BT try icon:
Double click on "My Devices" and look for the serial BT connection. Right click and choose "enable"
continued in post #2 !!!
4) Set up AS to use the established Com Port: Open AS on your Computer, got to Connection settings and enable “connect to this por” and choose the appropriate Com Port:
[/URL]
5) Enable BT on your device:
6) Now go back here and search for BT Devices (2):
Right click on the device which you want to use for ActiveSync, and choose "pairing":
continued in post #3 !!!
A window pops up, asking for a password, use 4 or so characters and hit OK:
Over to your mobile:
A message comes up asking whether you want your PC to connect or not. Of course, you want to!
And then you have to type in the former set password:
Now very impotant: Right after you typed in the password and hit ok, go to your PC and CKLICK ON THE BT-ICON in the try (2)! A Message pops up asking if the device is allowed to use the previously set up BT serial connection. Tick "always" (1) ! And confirm:
continued in post #4 !!!
7) On your mobile, check "active sync" on the device options:
10) Open AS and connect to your PC via BT!
Thats it! Hope this helps someone out there..
AO
PS limiting of pics and BB code sucks for HowTos!
how can i delete unnecessary Com Ports from my device manager?
Every time I delete them and hit refresh, they come right back!
thx
AO
1) Very important: You have to connect via cable (USB) first in order for AS to set up a partnership!

Obsolete.
Anyway, here is my very simple 3 step formula for establishing ActiveSync connection via bluetooth on WIDCOMM Bluetooth (the way I do it).
1) Add a bluetooth com port (rt-click bluetooth icon -> Advance config -> local services -> com port). Remember the com port number.
2) Goto ActiveSync -> File -> Connection settings. Check all the check boxes and select the same com port you selected in step # 1.
3) Pair your device with your PC. Now it will show the "ActiveSync" service when the pairing is completed in the services found on the paired device list.
4) Goto ActiveSync on your Device -> Menu -> Connect Via bluetooth.
End of the story.
If you face any problem, your PC or PPC is not working. Hardreset them. Trust me, it'll work!

Thank you for the tip but I don't understand...
1. Why wouldn't I connect my Android to the Ad hoc network created on a second network adapter on my PC (in my case a second wifi adapter)?
2. On my PC, no "Android Tether" shows up in my wifi list. On my G2x, "Android Tether" shows up as Not in Range, along with Use_ZT180_Adhoc_Switcher, and Warning_Adhoc_Mode. (I also have a guy transmitting AndroidAP5070 but I think it's someone next door.) There is no change to the status information icons.
3. Is my phone possessed??? It is browsing Internet sites while Data is disabled but not in Airplane mode, and connecting to Wifi while in Airplane mode. Maybe this is affecting my results with ZT-180?
Thanks again.
for the ones that this is working for. Please give Rom/Kernal info. Thanks
disconnect by it self
after zt show (connected) it disconnect by it self
os win XP
kernel :2.6.32.9-perf
thx any way
this thread is the closest thing i saw to solve ad-hoc problem
could it be that we should set static ip
or gate way

[D5503] Ethernet for Xperia Z1 Compact

I am currently using a 'noname' 10/100Mbit Ethernet USB adapter to provide Ethernet access to my Sony Xperia Z1 Compact (D5503).
The adapter I have only provides approx 2Mbits when used directly connected to a D5503
If I connect the Ethernet adapter to a powered USB hub and then connect the D5503 to the USB hub, I can obtain approx 6Mbits.
I have tested the USB 10/100Mbit adapter on a Win8.1 PC and get the same 6Mbits on this 'noname' model.
This seems quite slow for a 10/100Mbit Ethernet Adapter, even considering a 480Mbit limit of USB2.0
What are other people using in the way of 10/100Mbit Ethernet adapters and what speed can be obtained.
How did you test the true speed?

I use Google Play FTP Server and get/put a binary file to/from my 1Gbit LAN NAS(QNAP TS-253 Pro with 8GB memory and 7200rpm WD Red drives) and/or Speedtest.net where my normal ISP speed would be a constant 12Mbits to the local ISP Speedtest server.
Speedtest.net is no good for me over 12Mbits.. obviously.
The above ~results are just done via Speedtest.net as any meaningful speed/bandwidth speed at 1-2Mbits is mind numbingly painful..slow.....
Because you asked the question, I did a 6Mbyte file download/upload approx 1.23Mbits download/write and approx 3.9Mbits upload/read from Xperia Z1 compact using ftp where the Ethernet adapter was plugged directly into the Z1C (just a node on the LAN).

Xperia Z1 Comact Ethernet via powered USB hub.
Model: Xperia Z1 Compact
Android Version: 5.1.1
Firmware: Stock Sony with Locked Bootloader.
Ethernet down: ~6.5Mbits/sec
Ethernet up: ~1Mbits/sec (restricted by ADSL2 upload speed)
If you connect a supported USB/Ethernet adapter to a powered USB hub, you do get some improvement in Ethernet throughput.
It's still not fast, but you can do 'stuff' with ~6.5Mbits/sec
The Upload speed may be faster as I'm using a 12Mbit down /1Mbit up ADSL2 Internet connection.
Really just checking that Ethernet was still supported using Stock Sony Android 5.1.1 on the Z1C.

now this is interesting, something that makes this app stand out from the rest. ill download it now and will report with my experience with it.
thanks.
K, installed it but:
-where is the new device notification setting?
The ui is great, simple. Some feature suggestions:
-traceroute / ip location
-whois
-current connections / open ports
-dns lookup and resverse lookup
An advance feature suggestion:
-os detection feature from nmap!

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll implement these feature in future
About new device notification if you open the settings page you can see "Monitoring Wifi" parameter.
This means that every x seconds the app scans the network and checks if a new device is connected.
In order to monitoring the network you must click on the wifi symbol on the main page.
When you click on the wifi symbol you see a yellow triangle near the symbol, this means that you are monitoring that network

Thanks, no instruction in app about this
Also you could add notification icon option for those who wanna know that the app is running in background, this also helps preventing it from being closed.

AccessUSB uses RSA-2048 encryption. To get access I replace its key in TV firmware, but still looking for original key. If anyone have original AccessUSB, I can copy that RSA key and make a clone.
Original AccessUSB can have time and/or usage count limitations, clone will be without any limitations. So if you help me with this key I will provide firmware and instructions how to make your own AccessUSB. Contact: PM or lgexplorer [at] tutanota.com.
Also looking any other info about original AccessUSB.
AccessUSB devices are signed individually by LG, and I was told that they are pricy to get even for repair shops.
I was making my own one with a BeagleBone Black and CDC-ACM aswell, but deemed it useless due to the existence of better ways to get root and the signature check (serial.pem) on the device

Did you got original AccessUSB or valid RSA key? How repair shops can obtain it?
Root is only one feature, that can be obtained via AccessUSB, also it is official root access method, that will not be "fixed" in updates.
