Seller did include Battery kit with screw drivers to remove the screws. Torx screw driver seems to be 1 size bigger and does not help.
Any recommendations on the correct size screwdriver to remove the screws ?
Also do & dont's before I do it ...
Thanks in advance.
Battery Replacement
I was able to remove the screws using TORX T3 screw driver. One could buy precision screwdriver kit from Harbor Freight for less than $5.
Whoever is thinking to replace the Battery, do not forget to watch at-least 5 different videos on You-Tube regarding 'Moto X2 battery replacement'.
I was able to replace the Battery easily. I did reassemble the phone without any GLUE. Battery seems to be working fine.

I have broken the cover of the battery. where I can buy?
HTC Italy don't have
thank's
i the moment i think there is just no back cover at it's own avaiable.
i'm looking for it, too, friend of mine needs one.
only option would be to sent it to repair and pay for a new cover there i think?
The only way of getting a replacement back cover would be to purchase an extended life battery as you get a cover with them. (altho this will slightly increase the size of your device)
I cant see it being very long before they will release a replacement cover, i can only suggest checking out eBay as thats usually where things like that appear first.
look there, they say there's a back cover avaiable:

I've got an order in for a new battery cover at Expansys. (It really scuffs up more easily than I'd expected, and a corner got damaged the first time I opened it.)
Currently my order tracker says it's estimated in 33 days...
i emailed cnn.cn and they told me they'll have oem replacement parts of the HTC within 2 weeks hopefully ~ i need a new battery cover and probably new touchpads too ~ too much scuff marks on it :S
Just wondering if any of you have an extended battery cover you could measure for me. I was sent an incorrect one, but the battery is the same so I am looking for just an extended cover. boxwave has one however I am unsure if it will fit the 2250mAh Cameron Sino one as the battery they sell is ElectroSpan and only 2000mAh.
Thanks.
I got also the wrong cover (for the dash) when I ordered the 2250 battery
on ebay. But after contacting the seller they apologized and sent the correct cover! So maybe try also
I contacted them and they are refusing to send a different one. I've e-mail BoxWave about theirs and I have the dimensions. Can you measure yours for me so I can make sure it'll fit?
I do believe the BoxWave one also has the soft touch feel.
Thanks birdibird
P.S - here are the ones from BoxWave.
9.8mm deep
68.7mm long
46.8mm across
Please note that these dimensions are for the entire cover and not only the extended portion.
ai, that's bad luck!
mine also has soft touch. These are the dimensions:
I devided it in lower and upper part. lower is the part which is connected to the phone, upper is the extra hight.
lower upper (cm)
width:
4,8 4,4
length (it curves up, I measured the top):
6,75 5,0
hight:
0,2 0,9
looks kinda the same, I cannot measure here that precise
Did u manage to order that one, and does it fit?
I'm just waiting to repair my Vox before I order the cover and spend more money on it.
i'm looking for a curcuit board for my nexus one. the power button wont work but the power button itself isnt the problem. anyone selling one??
Get a flex cable off eBay, I just bought one for roughly $35 USD. You will need to provide three pieces from the flex cable that's currently in your phone-the camera, the LED flash, and a mysterious orange piece that's taped onto the black plastic portion of the old flex cable-you'll notice it as you have to disconnect it in the disassembly process.
You can get it through Amazon
You can get one through amazon as well. The only bad thing - it is not covered under "prime" membership, so there is an additional $5 shipping charge with that...
does anyone have a source for a replacement battery that ships to the US? all i've found is a used one out of a droid maxx2 on ebay for $99.

Are you able to tell me if the battery comes with the thin black layer that is required for the NFC antenna to work?
I have just recently changed my phone's battery and it works great except the NFC antenna stopped working. There is a thin black plastic type layer which makes the antenna work but it would tear out if I try to transfer it to the new battery. Also, let me know if you know a workaround for this issue, my old battery is so used up, it can't hold a charge for even a day.
Thanks!

I have just found it on eBay, I didnt bought it!
Battery replaced nfc not working
I just attempted to replace my battery and found out nfc is no longer working.
So i did some research the black square stuff placed under the actual nfc antenna is ferrite
It's basically a magnet that blocks interference from other stuff
My new battery didn't have that.
But I was able to find one on the German amazon, also did find one on ebay.com just search for "Thin NFC Sticker Ferrite"
I'm now waiting for one and will report how it works out.
UPDATE:
So I received my ferrite sticker and to make it short NFC is working now with the new battery.
but what about this baterry? looks like oryginal and they say it is

Hello. I am considering changing my battery on my Galaxy S7, as the capacity has gone down to 78% after 1.5 years of use. I still want to have it waterproof. What I am considering doing, is to;
1. Buy a Genuine S7 battery
2. Buy the genuine back cover bonding adhesive
When I do this procedure, I will make sure to remove the old adhesive properly, and adding the new adhesive in such a way that there wont be any wrinkles.
My goal is to ensure that the phone is waterproof after the procedure.
Have anyone done this before? And do you think it would work?
Cheers.
First of all, what are you using to measure the capacity of the battery? Apps don't work
1. That is not a genuine battery for $6
2. Unlikely to be genuine adhesive either
If not sold by Samsung, and ridiculously cheap = fake
In fact, if eBay = generally fake
It's possible you could seal it again if done well and correctly, but personally I wouldn't ever chance putting it under water again once the seal was broken
