i'm looking for a curcuit board for my nexus one. the power button wont work but the power button itself isnt the problem. anyone selling one??
Get a flex cable off eBay, I just bought one for roughly $35 USD. You will need to provide three pieces from the flex cable that's currently in your phone-the camera, the LED flash, and a mysterious orange piece that's taped onto the black plastic portion of the old flex cable-you'll notice it as you have to disconnect it in the disassembly process.
You can get it through Amazon
You can get one through amazon as well. The only bad thing - it is not covered under "prime" membership, so there is an additional $5 shipping charge with that...

I just bricked my phone by trying to repair my joystick... When I tested my 'repaired' phone, I noticed that some keys did not work. After reopening the housing, I concluded the connection cable of the keyboard was teared a little. Is there a way to replace that connection cable by myself or can I better buy a new phone? (Cause when I bring the phone in this state to a service centre, the sure will charge more than 50 euro's I guess...)

The referenced supplier doesn't have keyboards for Tornado. This one does. Its where I've bought mine.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=350006863119
Thats all you need. A new Keyboard assembly. Comes with the D-Pad(Joystick).
thanks for your help, but i've already bought a new keypad (little more expensive, that was the only seller I did nog found on ebay). I expect it to arrive at my house within this week so I can repair my tornado!
While opening the case I was so stupid to damage my usb and jack connector (they both broke off), so i had to repair them either. Solution: A lot of soldering flux and a soldering iron together and now these connectors are repaired !
So, my short-lived experiment with the Samsung Galaxy Multimedia Desktop Charging Dock (Model EDD-D200BEGSTD) has ended badly. I bought the dock from Amazon for $27. The supplier was Starcake, fulfilled by Amazon. Received it on May 7th. After the first night, I realized it was not charging the phone. I used the "Galaxy Charging Current" app to verify that the wall charger that came with (but not in) the OEM box, was probably a knock-off and was only pushing 300 mAh rather than the advertised 1 amp, and the printing was a bit off. I switched over to my OEM charger and it charged fine. I then called Amazon (still within the 30 days) and they kindly gave me a refund of $10.00 for the charger portion (which I was happy with since the dock was working).
Last night after returning from a trip, I attempted to plug the usb cord into the back of the unit and the entire inner usb assembly broke free and was rattling around in the dock. I got it out through the charging slot and it appears it was only glued in...no hard wiring at all.
I called Amazon this morning and they graciously refunded the balance of the purchase price even though I was 7 days past the 30 day return period. (I really like that outfit!) They also told me I could dispose of the broken product as I see fit.
So since the opportunity presents itself, does anyone know how to take the dock apart without destroying the case? I'd like to see what's inside, how they actually attached the usb plug, and maybe see if I can rig it up to work again. I also want to see if I got stuck with a cheap knock-off or if its actually an OEM Samsung product. I've tried to pry it apart at the seam, but no luck.
Thanks for your help,
Curious Rich

I bought the same one. But went to put on S4 into the dock from the top. Didn't push the phone to hard to in the charger and usb piece fell into the housing.
I couldn't open it up either. Needless to say I sent it back to Amazon.
How did you get the Galaxy Charging App to work?
I just installed it but it says "480" and never changes, even when I plug it in and press refresh.

It works with the Verizon S4 but not with Sprint S4s. AT&T may also have an issue.
Try removing the rubber feet pads on the bottom. I bet there are screws hidden under them.

I've tried that too. It's one solid piece of foam that will not yield easily. I was hoping I could feel so screw holes I could pierce through but no luck. If it is a knockoff, they did a good job of sealing it!
Come to think of it, it they had used the same glue on the usb plug, there probably wouldn't be a problem with the d*mn thing!
Hi everybody!
I just got used Moto G, cheap There is problem with the unit: bottom half of the screen doesn't work (the digitizer). Guy told me he dropped it but I don't see any cracks or scratches...
So I followed video from youtube and disassembled it.
Now. My unit doesn't have two pieces: it doesn't have blue cover tape over LCD/digitizer connector and it doesn't have LCD Rear Metal Plate between board and digitizer...
Is it normal? Or looks like somebody took apart before me?...
It's Canadian unit, from Telus (if it matters).
And next question: what place do you recommend to get replacement screen/digitizer from?
Thanks!
Etradesupply. Or phonepartsusa if they have them. Last I looked they were $30-40 US or so. I Am unsure of the aluminum shielding. My assumption would be for conductivity to ground the digitizer but that's just a hunch. There were early model touch screen phones that would not register touch when you laid the phone down without holding it. I think my old HTC eris was that way. Before buying a display, I would watch the videos again and check where the tape is during disassembly and use masking tape on those areas and put back together. Worth a shot I would think.

Thanks for reply!
Yes, I checked etradesupply. They have this part only in HK warehouse. And during ordering procedure they show some message about custom fees for private customers and suggest to register company with them...
Anyway. I found couple on eBay from one seller. But he calls this part "inner heat shield". So it cost me $7 plus $7 for shipping from LA to Canada (still cheaper than etradesupply).
So now I'll order new screen+digitizer from aliexpress and start my trial
Thanks again!

Hi,
I'm in intrested in buying the wireless charging cover for the s5 but I don't now if it is worth it.
If someone had it could he give me some feedback? Thanks
There are severalI different charging covers @ the market.
I own the S charger cover EP-CG900IWE by Samsung and I don't want to miss it
What's wrong with just plugging it in?
doing wireless gives you flexibility , just put it on tap of wireless charging pad and will charge the phone
Bought mine maybe 6 months ago, it's an S-view wireless back cover combination from Samsung. I have to say it's great having this, I have 2 charging pads, one at the office and one at home; I just place my phone to the pad when I'm not using it and doing work, and at home I place it on the pad before going to bed so I don't have to worry about battery level anymore.
The only thing you should check out is it's losses(power), with 2 Amps of input, you might only get 700-1000 mA of output so charging will take twice as much time as it would if you use the stock charger that came with the phone.

I wish I could find one for under $100... sigh
I'm not allowed to post links , otherwise - is your google not working
~ 23 €
From where? Only one ive found that is genuine is on amazon for 100
I don't really want the s view case...
I use genuine Samsung wireless charging back cover , from Amazon UK £28 with a Cheotech 3 coil charging pad, from Amazon UK £19
Anyone managed to find black cover with Qi? There are some on eBay from USA, but with sick prices (100$ and more). There is one on Amazon UK http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Charger-Cover-Galaxy-S5/dp/B00IN9HZ0S/ref=sr_1_10 but "Temporarily out of stock". I've even talked with Samsung customer service in Poland and they said they don't have it.
I have this chinese Qi coil that goes under back cover, but it's rubbish. It lifts the cover a bit, making gap around LEDs and ruining water resistance.

I've got the same problem mate. I'm about ready to accept that fact that if I want Qi charging with good looks I'll have to buy an S-View cover
I've talked with support on Amazon UK. They told me it's really "temporarily" and if I buy it, they'll have it in few days. I'll try. If not - probably S-View + carpet knife to remove the front.
This may sound stupid but Ikea sells them, but only in white $15. I know sounds crazy right!
I've had the wireless charging cover + pad (not s-view version) and i say that i really enjoy the use of it -- very convenient.
Got a pad in the office, the bedroom and in the car!
Charges slower than cable obviously and the phone does warm up quite a bit, thankfully it will pause the charging if it gets too hot so no biggie on that

Do yourself a favour and do not buy those.
They don't fit properly and I'm sure they don't even properly seal the back.
Tried one and immediately gave it back.
It was incredibly difficult for me to find one of those back covers as well (germany), but after days of searching trough various vendors that are supposed to are samsung resellers, I finally found an original S-charger cover for my white S5 on amazon for 30€.
Take a look:
Telefonide tarvikud | Maxfield - Samsung - PowerNeed - Grateq - Omega - Ansmann - Olloclip - Caterpillar - KSIX - Sony - Photopoint
I use an Easychee qi-Pad. Lifts the backcover a very very little bit.
In combination with an easychee t300 the best thing for my s5 i ever had.
Perfect charging through my silikon flip case.
For the easychee t300 (about 40$) theres a special tip.
I bought it via amazon. Its name is KOS-T30PC Charging Pad.
Its 100% the same pad. Cost 15$ via amazon.
Look its this one
Amazon US and Amazon UK now have them listed and "temporarily out of stock". I "bought" one on each site. If I ever receive one, I will cancel the other. Or accept it and sell it on eBay.
The UK one was 23 pounds. The one on Amazon US was only USD$22! And "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months."

We'll see...!

For you that use the S-View cover, doesn't that front flap get super annoying? Don't you have to open it and fold it back every time you use the phone for anything, including talking on it?
That thing looks so annoying that for now I am just sticking with plugging a cable in whenever I need a charge - even though I already have Qi charging pads everywhere.
I'm using oem qi cover. It works perfectly and keeps the phone waterproof. Can't remember how much I paid for it but not more than $50.
Absolutely must have in the car. I'm using a QI charging car mount. For home - not that important but still very nice.
