Quick charger - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Accessories

Hi
I want to buy a quick charge charger for work! The original charger - MDY-10-EF - is not available in my country, so I need to buy something else.
Now I'm so confused about mi 9t charger! Is it quick charge 4.0 ?! Or 3.0 ? There's no sign on it.
There's a list of quick charge support devices in Qualcomm website that k20/mi 9t is in QC4+ list ! But I see original charger is 18w and my friend said it should be QC 3.0 !
Did you guys tested any nice QC charger except original one on mi 9t ?

EDIT: Watched a YouTube video where a user tested the k20 Pro charger on the Mi 9t and it didn't do anything, device wouldn't charge above 18W (even tho its supposedly QC4+ compatible??)
I'm interested to see if anyone has tried a QC4/QC4+ charger too considering it's listed as compatible on Qualcomm's own website. I believe that it is and Xiaomi just sold the phone with a lower watt in order to justify more of a price difference between Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro

I've bought that one :

For my Mi9t, doesn't change ****. Don't bother, don't waste your money.
I'm on Miui Global 10.3.12 if it's of any matters.

The 9T won't charge above 18W, so pick your charger accordingly.
Anker ones are okay from what I've heard, UGreen for the cheaper ones.

Thanks for the Anker advice!
I just bought one of these in the UK. Seems to tick all the boxes:
Fast Charger, Anker USB Charger 18W USB Wall Charger Quick Charge 3.0 PowerPort+ 1

Yeah I purchased the Razer plug for my mi 9t. 25w QC 4.0+. Charges really fast, cable though is type-c/type-c.

Hey Gazza,
Can you please give us more info on how quickly it charges?
Avg mA reading or something?
How much time does take for your phone to reach 0 to 60%?

I'm using this one:
Basically, any Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 that is certified is the right one.

I purchased the original Xiaomi 27w charger (code MDY-10-EL) for Mi9t having read that the K20 is Quick Charge 4.0 compatible on the Qualcomm website. With the same original cable of the xiaomi 18w there are no differences in charging speed. The wording "charge turbo" does not appear on the display but only "fast charging". I read on another tread that a user with k20pro managed to activate the charge turbo not with the original cable but with a OnePlus 5T cable. Could this be a cable problem? Or does K20 simply differ from the Mi9T for 27w charging?

Official Charger for Mi 9T (code MDY-10-EL) is QC 3.0 - 18w, not 27w.
K20 / Mi 9T devices are not compatible with QC 4.0 with 27w, it's a mistake... (only "Pro" variants are).
EDIT:
Maybe QC 4.0/4.0+ hardware compatible but only with 18w max.
"Charge Turbo" = 27w = impossible on K20/Mi 9T devices...
"Quick/Fast Charge" = 18w

is a qualcomm site error?
k20 is not qc 4+?

My understanding is the phone supports QC 4.0 but the stock charger shipped with the phone is QC 3.0.
I have been using the stock Razer phone power adapter, my version is the U.K plug and bought for £10 on eBay, the EU model is around £10-£15 (€15-€20) and supports 24w charging, this plug is officially certified as a QC 4.0+ plug on the Qualcomm website, the cable needed is a type-c/type-c, well for the UK plug anyway.

Hello,
So, you used your Razer phone power adapter (QC 4.0) for Mi 9T and it acted as QC 4.0 for it?
Thank
Edit: As I discovered, Mi 9T/K20 definitely supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0/4.0+ but the phones come with those phones comes only Quick Charge 3.0 adapter. I think this is not bad, because, the battery will be charged in a more gentle mode.

I asked official Xiaomi service and received a clear answer:
Thank you for contacting Xiaomi Customer Support. I am ****** and I understand that you want to know the Mi 9T support Qualcomm Quick charge 4.0 or not.
I would like to inform you that, Xiaomi Mi 9T supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ and it also supports USB PD Quick Charge.

Hey guys, I know this is a really old thread and should not revive it, but I just got this:
I made it with a mi 10t pro Charger (33 watts) and a USB A to type C cable with the orange tips (the mi 10T pro original cable is like this). That did it. It charges grotesquely quick and doesn't seem to get much hotter than the original 18w charger. I think the problem with the 9t pro's charger is that that one is QC and this one is Power Delivery but I don't really know why it didn't work with others. Anyway, do what you want with this info.

Can anyone confirm that quick charge really works? I mean there is a quick charge notification in the lock screen and the two thunderbolts instead of simple charging and one thunderbolt?
@tap007 @perzan07 @evilpaul13
As long as I know most of the market chargers support Qualcomm Quick Charge in any of its three versions. QC 3.0 has backward-compatible with QC 2.0 and QC 1.0 devices so buying a QC 3.0 is the simplest answer for a devices that use a Qualcomm processor but Honor 8 uses a HiSilicon Kirin 950.
QC 1.0 is 5V and 2.0A and QC 2.0 and 3.0 are 5/9/12V 3A. The chargers have a driver based in Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage (INOV) to know how to charge the phone. I've read somewhere that Huawei QuickCharger has it own charging protocol and can charge QC 2.0 devices but a QC 2.0 charger cannot charge a Huawei (not Qualcomm) device.
So what I expect from all of those quick chargers in the market is that NOT recognise the Honor 8 as a compatible device and give it less than 5V 2A (10W), probably 5V 1A (5W) that are not the 9V 2A (18W) expected.
That's why I ask for a confirmation that charger and device recognise themselves and quick charge is really activated.
PS: In their webpage, Aukey says the following: "AUKEY AiPower Adaptive Charging Technology gives all your USB powered devices exactly what they need with up to 2.4A per Ai USB Port." and "Combine AUKEY AiPower with Qualcomm Quick Charge in a single USB port and you get PowerAll Adaptive Charging for all USB powered devices. One USB charging port to rule them all!" so maybe their chargers are compatible but I still looking for a confirmation somewhere. (I don't trust too much Alibaba, aliexpress, eBay... product descriptions).
Thanks!
I've gotten two chargers off there and both, including the car one I linked, support Huawei's Fast Charge. I get the Fast Charge message, my battery icon turns green AIDA64 says I'm charging at >1A. My battery has been lasting long enough I haven't bothered charging it in the car much though.

I was unable to order them so I ordered an Aukey one with AiPower that I think could work. If does I'll post it here. If not I'll resell it to someone with a QC device. Thanks for the advice!
Well I've received the Aukey charger and I've to say that the info I read on some forums is wrong and it is not compatible with our device (and probably not compatible with any not Qualcomm Huawei/Honor device). The item bought was that:
http://www.ebay.es/itm/252404366500?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
It official info here:
https://www.aukey.com/products/dual...ick-charge-2-0-aipower-with-usb-a-to-c-cable/
Review:
It came with 2 high quality USB cables, one microUSB and one USB-C. It looks as a high end product and works fine as a regular charger. May be your car charger if you are the owner of a Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 compatible device. About the seller just say it took 4 weeks to be in my place (one week less than average China packages).
Check pics attached. Regards.
I have the Elephone "Tornado" charger on order from the 'Bay, and supposedly it supports HFCP AND comes with dual charging ports.

Any updates on the charger ?
Huawei does not support FAST CHARGING, it has its own unique charging which is Super Fast Charging, if you bought a car charger or any charger and use it and it did not show Super Fast charging Notification or your battery icon on the upper right has no 2 electric logo inside the battery icon it means you bought the wrong charger.
Hi
You have to look for Huawei AP32 it's Original Huawei wall charger
and Huawei AP38 it's Genuine Huawei Car charger.
Just to add more info regarding the ''fast charging''
I have orderd from ebay some cheap usb type C cable
And it works fine and gives the ''fast charge'' messege and I have
tested it ... it also takes same time in minutes to charge the phone..
So that means it has no difference to use that usb cable..
Some of my phones as soon as I changed the usb cable were not fast charging
That why I am reporting it ..
To anyone interested, I searched Nillkin's site for Honor 8 accessories and it gave a result for a car charger, called Nillkin Celerity Car Charger. It does support 9V/2A so I believe it should work with Honor 8.
I also found it in eBay cheaper than in Nillkin's site.
Also, Huawei Honor AP31 car charger should the job. It does support quick charge. Found it in eBay for about 25 US$.
P.S. Sorry but I cannot post links, since this is my first post.

replacement charger or third-party charger

I've spent a solid half hour searching every place I can think of, but haven't come up with anything. Has anyone managed to find a third-party replacement charger that will activate rocket charging (double lightning bolts), or found a place that sells OEM replacement chargers (especially in/to the UK)?
In India, its available only at the service centres for Rs. 1600 (GBP 19).
Thanks. Lenovo or Motorola service centres?
Any news of any third-party chargers that actually work with rocket?

Thanks, but I literally just got a refund for a very similar product on ebay about 10 minutes ago. Sellers list the same item, which is a general "adaptive quick charger," for dozens of phones and don't bother to find out if they will work.
It seems that Lenovo's is somewhat proprietary and any old adaptive fast charger won't work.
Hi
I can confirm this car charger works in fast charging mode for the P2 and S7 Edge, it a multi standard charger
The P2 uses MTK Pump express so you need to look for a charger that supports this.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/IBD...-Mobile-Phone-Travel-Adapter/32812410639.html
I can really recommend the IBD charger its really well built and works with other phones as well so future proofed as well
I live in the UK and it took about 9 days for delivery from the seller above
Thanks! This is really helpful, much appreciated.
It looks like the following Sony phones also support MTK Pump Express charging: (as per http://bit.ly/2vH9wfl)
-Xperia™ XA/XA Dual SIM
-Xperia™ XA Ultra/XA Ultra Dual SIM
-Xperia™ XA1
-Xperia™ XA1 Ultra
I've gone ahead and ordered a charger from this link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162631584402 , which specifically mentions the MTK compatibility. I'll check back in and let everyone know if it works.
The info in this thread sounds wrong. The Lenovo P2 doesn't use mediatek chipset, so it shouldn't have MTK Pump Express charging. However, I've charged my P2 using 2 different Quick charge 2.0 chargers and they work with the double lightning bolts.
Since the chipset is a qualcomm snapdragon, I would've thought only QuickCharge 2.0 (or 3.0) chargers would work. But @imi2003 has experience to the contrary so I won't fight him on that.

Just editing this post coz I've actually clicked through to your link. I don't know why you say that's an MTK Pump Express Charger. It's clearly a Quick Charge 3.0 charger as it states in the title and multiple times in the description. This should further confirm that any Quick Charge 2.0 or 3.0 charger can charge the Lenovo P2 fast and with double lightning bolts.
@ericastill Just buy any charger on amazon UK that claims to have Quick Charge 2.0 or 3.0.
@ericastill Just buy any charger on amazon UK that claims to have Quick Charge 2.0 or 3.0.[/QUOTE]
My QC 2.0 charger (which worked fine on an S7 edge and G5 plus) won't quick charge my P2. It's not impossible that there's something wrong with my phone, though everything else is working fine.
In any case the sony charger I ordered supports both Pump Express and QC 3.0, so maybe that will do it.
Hi all
Just to clarify the car charger I linked to in my previous post, supports the following charging modes
QC 2.0 ,QC 3.0, MTK PE2.0, Huawei FCP/SCP
I got the charging specs from a different forum which I have linked below.
ht t ps : / /w3bsit3-dns.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=761560&st=7760
I hope this goes some way to end the confusion around charger compatibility. It might be a idea to make a sticky somewhere with proper specs.
If the P2 was QC 3.0 then the P2 wall charger would fast charge my S7 Edge, which it doesn't.

The P2 charger has a capacity of 25W. So find a charger of that same capacity and you can get the fast charging in Lenovo P2.

Do not give wrong advices to the people. You have no idea what are you writing about.
Quick charge is not only about output power of the supply but also possible output tension. In case of Lenovo Quick charger these are: 5.2V, 7V, 9V and 12V
---------- Post added at 05:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:05 PM ----------
http://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/lenovo-p2-battery-life-and-conclusion-page-4
"Charging is fast, too. You can go from empty to full in around 1hr 30mins using the bundled Rapid Charger. Rapid Charge is Lenovo’s own 24W fast-charging tech, and you’ll only get it from the supplied adapter."
http://www.gsmarena.com/lenovo_p2-review-1557p3.php
"We initially thought that the Rapid charging tech used by Lenovo must be Quick Charge 3.0 since the P2 uses a Qualcomm chipset. However, our third-party QC3.0 charger didn't charge the P2 particularly fast, so the jury is still out on whether Lenovo is using a proprietary charging technology. "
In short: only original Lenovo charger is good for our phones
Lenovo P2 can NOT be fast charged with qualcomm quick charge 3.0

Since the chipset is a qualcomm snapdragon, I would've thought only QuickCharge 2.0 (or 3.0) chargers would work. But @imi2003 has experience to the contrary so I won't fight him on that.
Edit:
Just editing this post coz I've actually clicked through to your link. I don't know why you say that's an MTK Pump Express Charger. It's clearly a Quick Charge 3.0 charger as it states in the title and multiple times in the description. This should further confirm that any Quick Charge 2.0 or 3.0 charger can charge the Lenovo P2 fast and with double lightning bolts.
@ericastill Just buy any charger on amazon UK that claims to have Quick Charge 2.0 or 3.0.

I have 2 Anker Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 wall chargers one with single port and one with multiple ports. I have tried my lenovo p2 with both of them (in QC 3.0 ports) and it does not do any rapid charging.
I don't see any double bolt or double charging sign even when I have switched on power saving mode with the physical power save button on the side.
My Lenovo P2 model is p2a42 and I am on the lastest nougat software update that is P2a42_S244_170725_ROW.
When I go to detailed battery menu in settings during charging it just says "Charging on AC" i.e. I do not see anything like rapid or fast charging or anything like that.
I also installed the Ampere app on nougat I never saw the voltage going above 5v (actually always stay slightly lower than 5v) in that app. Unfortunately, amps calculation is not working in that app I don't know why. I do not know if it is QC 3.0 instead of QC 2.0 that is making this difference.
Also my phone was at 4% charged when I did this test.

would you mind sharing with us the model of the 2 chargers that could fast charge the P2? any link to buy them would be great too.
I heard that Infinix cq24ax charger support double lightning. It got the same spec with original p2 charger
who ever tried it ?
Just bought an 12v 2a charger from online shop in Vetnam. Rocket charge working fine. I think you can buy any charger from lenovo with 5v 7v 9v 12v 2a, it should work for p2
Did anyone find a charger? Can you please share a link?

Do any USB 3 cable support Warp Charging?

Was wondering if you can Warp Charge the Oneplus 7 Pro with any USB 3 cable? (oneplus warp charger but any USB-C cable)?
Or does it have to be the red cable.
And also, would any USB-C cable charge the phone normally at least?
Thanks!

I wouldn't say any, but at least those rated 5v 4A do or could also support warp charging current at 5V 6A . The Anker 6ft powerline+ supports it despite not being labeled. What happens is Warp is relatively new and they didn't see that coming in order to test and label the cables.

You need the Warp charger and a compatible cable from Oneplus for Warp Charge due to the proprietary charging technology. If the charger you use supports USB-PD you get a maximum of 5V/3A.

You don't need 5A rated cable necessary. Good quality cable could haldle more than 6A and 5V. Its not like the cable are programed or have a chip in them. just need a thick enough coil and well soldered USB C connector.[COLOR="Silver
@Vanhoud
Thanks. we can see how the amazon cable leads even a bit higher voltage although it fluctuates with both cables but still topping the stock one
So, you get one and try it?
So would op6 usb-c cables work with warp charger and warp car charger?

I use the one plus 3 cable and it warp charges. The OP 5T one works too
Yes other cables including OnePlus cable will work with the warp charging block. I use those same amazon cables with my 6T and have test those cables on a friends 7 Pro and they work great. OnePlus is trying to lead people to believe otherwise so they can charge $5 more per cable just because it says warp on it. Just more proof OnePlus is all about the money now even if it comes down to lies and ripping off their fan base.
Don't get me wrong business is business and I still like OnePlus phones...Just saying the days of cheap phones with them are coming to an end, even if they still under cut the other major players we will be paying more for phones among other things from them in the future.
The stock cable is usb 2 btw

Hi guys first time here. I am not entirely sure what you are asking. If you are looking for a USB warp charge compatible cable you can use the one linked. BTW that cable is magnetic meaning that it disconnects under too much pressure. I've tested these guys cable before and can say for sure they warp charge. But its standard USB type A to type C. Just like the red cable that comes with the oneplus.
Actually, yes. I have been testing this recently. If you buy ANY USB 3.1 cable that has Superspeed+, it absolutely works for warp charging. I tried using all of the ones I have at home, and they all work. One of them is random generic cable, one of them is walmart's Blackweb brand, and the other is from amazon. None of them are warp charge cables. They are all USB 3.1. When used, they all show the warp charge symbol, and using ampere shows that it indeed charges at the same rate as the original cable. This should help us in finding the cables that we want, etc.!
I was extremely surprised, because I had the 6T before this, and dash charge definitely does not work with the same cables mentioned.
I tried this cable that was Superspeed+ and USB 3.1 compatible and it did not seem to work. Any thoughts as to why?

Charging Cable alternative

Hello everyone,
The included data/charging cables with my poco f2 pro just failed after 3 weeks of use and I tried different cables I found in the house and non of them supports fast charging,
do you know where can I find a replacement cable that support mi turbo charge?
I currently occupy one of the Baseus brand and another of Ugreen, both bought on Aliexpress and they work without problems.
I noticed that when I use either of my other 2 cables the phone doesn't charge nearly as fast. I would suggest to spec the cable to ensure you still get that glorious fast charging ability

I saw another post that suggests there is an extra pin in the charger cable that came with the phone that enables the fastest charging. Using other cables made for fast charging seem to lack this pin so they are limited to normal fast charge modes which while still fast is not as fast as the turbo charge with this phone. On Aliexpress I found a cable from xiaomi that may work, search for 'xiaomi Redmi note 9 pro cable 5A Turbo fast charge' but I cant seen inside the usb connector well enough to tell if the extra pin is there.

That makes sense. Would explain why my OnePlus 7pro still will charge at it's rated warp charge but this phone doesn't.
I have huawei 40w charger,5A cable and not give me turbo charge, only quick...any solution? Problem is cable or charger?

Probably both if the cable isn't the one that came with the phone. As I mentioned in my last post their is an extra pin in the usb cable and also in the charger that probably enables turbo charge. I did find a xioami 33 watt charger and cable on Aliexpress that may work correctly.
This Lidl UBSc charging câble Works with turbo charge.

It has to be a USB C cable with at least 30 Watts PowerDelivery (PD) enabled. Your charger also needs to have at least 30watts output.
Mcdodo CA-743
The best cable I ever bought. its quick charge 4.0 compatible and the build quality is fantastic
When it comes to usb cables ( and chargers for that ) there is only one name for me ; anker.
They are not the cheapest but it's clear why you pay that price ; quality.
I got 2 of their braided cables ( one for at home and one for the car ) and after years of dailly use they are still flawless.
Their warranty is solid too, even if something goes wrong they will make it right.
Get them on amazon to be sure you get original.

Turbo charge mains UK

Hello I've damaged my charger for my 10t lite 5G. I contacted support and they told me the original 33w UK charger isn't available until the end of 2021. Currently I'm using my Samsung Tab 7 charger and it supports fast charge. However, I would like to buy a wall charger that supports mi turbo charge can anyone recommend one please? I assume it's a QC4+ ?
Thanks
From reports around Xda, the top you can get with none xiaomi charger and cable is 27 w. You can only get turbo charge with the original charger and cable. Xiaomi did some changes to the PD design to get the 33w charge.
