Was searching about chargers that should work with the phone a little while back and there was allot of mixed and confusing talks about what charger to get ( most tests where done with Amper app, that does not show s*it), allot of people where recommending the sonic charger as the only/best option for 27W charging.
Not being available in my region, got myself a Baseus 30w charger ( the one with USB + type-C PD port ) + a USB-C power reader.
Phone is on latest MIUI EU version 11 ( android 10)
Those are the findings:
The phone will charge Turbo using the USB port and go up to 30 W
The phone will charge also up to 30W using the type-C port, but the Turbo is not displayed.
p.s. ignore the total mA charged reading. At first my usb power reader had a bug or something. it was reading 0.01A at 9V, Started working fine after a replug. reading 3 - 3.5A at 9v
The first photo is using type-C
The second photo is using the USB port. It only shows 12W because was just plugged in. But will go to 9V 3A in a few seconds.
Wait so does this mean the 30w charger works?

Is that the Baseus 30W PD Quick Charger you bought?
Are you getting the full turbo charge using the Baseus USB Type C cable?
Or
Do you need to use the USB Type C cable that came with the phone?
Or
Purchase another compatible cable?
I know, questions, questions, questions..
Was contemplating buying OnePlus 7T or Realme X2 Pro, but reluctant after hearing about the display issues [red tint, green tint, uniformity fault] that are affecting them.. Previously had the OnePlus 6T McLaren but didn't have great mobile reception..
Think OxygenOS and MUIU better forks of Android.
Think am set on the Mi 9T Pro UK/Global edition, just waiting to see what Blacl Friday bring from EGlobal.
Would buy direct from Xiaomi if had 256GB version. But they doing what OnePlus doing and preventing purchase. Stinks, because you get 2 year warranty as opposed to 1 year if buy direct. [OnePlus & Xiaomi do this].
The charger works 22% to 96% in 52 minutes ( 22% to 77% in 30 minutes as seen in the picture above, had to leave so i did not let it reach 100%) it charged with 30W till 80%
It does not display turbo with usb-c to usb-c. but it charges with 30W, don't think the baseus cable has anything to do with it. was just the cheapest 3A rated cable i could find, the charged does not come with a cable
Also did not test other cable for USB to type-c. had the original xiaomi one in hand. but again. don't think it matters. any 3A cable should be good.

Am nearly all settled on decided to get the Mi 9t Pro but will hold fire till see what Black Friday discounts there are.
I can manage to get the 6GB/128GB with EU plug from CSMobiles for under £305 delivered. But would prefer the 8GB/256GB model.
If I do get, then will be purchasing the 'Baseus 30W PD Quick Charger UK Adapter' -

Will update the thread on my findings..
don't think the 256gb will ever be sold outside Asia. I'm fine with the 6/128 model

24hr dispatch <- recommended to buy from EGlobal only if this is displayed
**Read some threads that state its EU variant with Band 20-800MHZ - Am with Vodafone and is a required Band for 4G **

well . i stand corrected. it seems there is a global version with 8 ram and 256 storage when i got my phone there was none. It's a good phone. so enjoy

as long as they are using the standard charging protocols, should be fine. At the end of the day only difference is the branding. they are all made in china after all...

Hey can you tell me the exact timing.
I mean from 1% to 100% in how much time and also let me know how much does it charge in first 30mins and 1 hr mark. (please try to make it from 0 to 2% .
With my 27W sonic charger it takes
0-57% in 30mins and
0-93% in 60mins and
To full charge it takes 1Hr 18mins
All from 0 to 100
i usually don't let my phone go under 20%, ill post if ill try it from 0 to 100
I bought this one: Fast Charger 30W MacBook Pro Charger with Type-C Cable Power Supply Fire-Proof PD 4.0 for Samsung Phone, The New MacBook Air/iPad Pro/iPhone QC4.0 (30W +Cable) from amazon, and at that time I paid $9.99
Can't say the amount of Amps but it charged my phone from 50% to 90% in 30 minutes! The only problem I had was the provided usb-c cable charges my Mi9T only in one direction (weird)
here is more info using the USB normal port and the original xiaomi cable, phone display's turbo charging, the USB power meter shows 25W going in the phone ( a little slower than PD):
9% to 30% in 10 minutes
30 to 40% in 5 minutes ( charging rate is around 20W)
9% to 100% 1:19:32
will repeat the test again once my 5A cable comes, and also using type-c PD
A lot of things are made in China, doesn't mean they are all the same quality lol. Factories make stuff according to the specs given to them, if they were asked to make poor quality items, they will. If you give them the plans and contract them to make A grade stuff, they will too.

That's a bit slow as my 27W sonic charger charges from 1 to 100% in 1Hr 15mins.
Does it really make a large difference compared using a 27W charger?
I don't trust Ampere and the numbers all the time.
After MIUI 11 update my deice shows quick charging for the Apple Macbook Air 30W charger. It wasn't showing for MIUI 10.

Hello
So a couple of weeks back I upgraded to the Poco F2 Pro 6/128GB from my Mi 9T.
I have been using a magnetic charging cable with my Mi 9T, with a little magnetic part permanently in the usb port for convenience with a standard QC3.0 charger. Worked great and charged fast at 18W.
I wanted a similar solution for my Poco F2 Pro.
So I tried using the same cable (USB-A to Type-C) I have used with the Mi 9T with the original Poco F2 charger, which also uses the USB-A to Type-C with no success. The phone only charges at 18W. No Mi Turbo Charging at 30W.
I then went out to buy a 60W PD 3.0 charger and a USB-C to USB-C magnetic cable, but no success again. Standard fast charging, no Mi Turbo 30W rapid charging.
I have also ordered multiple PD chargers and tried many different magnetic USB-C cables but I can't get any of them to charge the phone at 30W. The only way to charge the phone at full power is with the charger and cable that comes in the box.
What I'm I doing wrong? Is it the magnetic aspect of the USB cables that prevents the Rapid 30W charging?
All the chargers I have bought are legit of Amazon with good reviews, not some cheap Chinese knockoffs as well as the USB-C cables. They were all advertised as PD 3.0 3A/5A max current.
Any help?
Ive tried all kinds of chargers pd/qc, the only combination i can charge the poco "rapidly" is with the original in the box charger and cable.
I can load it fast with 18 watts with almost every qc/pd charger i own, but only the 27 watt Note 8T charger and the original 33 watt charger will charge it faster than 18 watts.
Xiaomi Turbo charge is 33W, as in 11 volts by 3 amps. I guess you will not get any of those values from 3rd party chargers.
The best you can do it 9 volts by 3 amps as 27W charge with a QC 4 or 4+ ( I do not remember exactly) capable charger.
For both cases above your cable must be rated 3A or more and charger to have listed the values at output.
From what you are telling ( capable of doing 18W) your cable might be 2A max rated, as in 9x2.
But are you sure the charging is 9x2 or it is actually 9x3?
only xiaomi pd charge can 33w。others can only 27w max.
Ugreen magnetic charger cable was able to charge mine (crdroid 6.11) with 33w on original power supply. Non original power supplys charging speed was only 7.5w (5v 1.5amp) independent of charging cable. Tested using a passtrough meter.

This charger USB-C port 1 can charge at 11v/3A (from specs) I just ordered it, I'll let you guys know if this hold of true.
I use magnetic cable too with my Poco F2 Pro (before MI 9 Pro 5G "same cable") and works very well, as long as use Xiaomi original chargers (with other charger not work on Poco F2 and neither on MI 9 Pro).
Nintendo Switch charger and the Galaxy S9+ stock charger only charge at 5W. Kinda expected though.

I wanted a similar solution for my Poco F2 Pro.
So I have done some testing and the results might surprise you.
Poco supports 30W Mi Turbo Charge which seems to be a custom Xiaomi charging protocol and does not seem to play nice with standard USB PD3.0 Protocol.
I have done charging tests from ~5-20% battery for maximum charging speeds and tested the actual charge rates with a USB Voltmeter
Voltmeter:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-Mete...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648
Test 1: Original Charger and Cable
Result: 30W Mi Rapid Charging (~9.6V, 3.1A) As Expected
Even tho the original charger is rated at Max 33W, Poco only charges at 30W Max.
Test 2: 60W USB PD3.0 Charger + 5A Type C to Type C Cable
Charger: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0824S38VC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Cable: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07QPNRGYH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Result: 18W Standard Fast Charging (~9.2V, 1.9A)
I did multiple tests to check if the charger is legit (which it is, many of my friends use it with different devices and it works great) with my brothers Pixel 4XL, and my friend Xiaomi Mi 9.
Pixel Charged at 18W, Mi 9 at 27W.
The phone did not charge at 27W (~9V 3A), even to it does support PD 3.0 charging.
Test 3: Original Charger with a 3A Ugreen Magnetic Cable
Cable: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ugreen-M...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648
Result: ~25W Mi Turbo Charging (~9.6V, 2.6A)
This is very interesting since it does trigger the Mi Turbo Charge, it is not the full speed charge like with the original setup.
Original setup also has a charging animation, with the % increasing at a steady speed.
With the Ugreen Cable, there was no animation.
Test 4: Original Charger + 40W Huawei Supercharge Cable
Cable: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08CR7W2T1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Result: ~25W Mi Turbo Charging (~9.6V, 2.6A)
The original Xiaomi Cable is a 5A Cable, so I thought id try a Huawei Supercharge Cable, but it ended up charging the same as a 3A Ugreen Cable
Test 5: 60W USB PD3.0 Charger + 5A Magnetic Type C to Type C Cable
Charger: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0824S38VC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Cable: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08HLN27DP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Result: 18W Standard Fast Charging (~9.2V, 1.9A)
Again, standard 18W fast charging, not 27W as you would expect.
Conclusion:
From my testing, the only way to charge the Poco at Maximum speed of 30W is with the charger and cable which I find very strange. Does the original Xiaomi cable have a custom Xiaomi chip which handshakes with the charger to get the full 30W Mi Turbo charge?
With a PD3.0 Charger, I was only able to achieve 18W of fast charging, again very strange, since Poco should support 27W (~9V 3A) charging with any PD3.0 Charger.
I have settled for a setup with the Ugreen Magnetic Cable and the Original Charger for convenience, ease of use and preventing the USB port from being worn out. I am loosing about 5W of speed, which does slightly increase the charging time. (I charge my phone to ~85% max)
(If there is something wrong with my methodology let me know and I will re-test if needed)
I approved with an Aukey 29w Fast Charging charger (model pa-y7) and the same charge at 18W, even with the type-c cable on both sides (Baseus brand cable up to 60W)
It seems like Xiaomi cable and charger have an extra pin. That might trigger and power the turbocharge

I don't know at which rate it charges but it triggers Charge turbo animation with the % increasing at a steady speed with almost any proper USB-C to USB-C cable.
I've also found that if you launch the CIT on the phone by tapping on kernel version 3 times on settings->About this phone->All specs
and go to the charging test (number 24) you can check which protocol is being used
If you use any QC3.0 charger it says USB_HVDCP, which triggers fast charging but not the charge turbo animation.
If you use a regular PD charger it says USB_PD which also triggers fast chargingbut also not the charge turbo animation.
If you use the original setup it also says USB_PD which means that extra pin it has on the USB-A connector is wired in a weird way it actually negotiates usb PD protocol, which I can also confirm because I connected it to a Thinkpad T480 and with the Lenovo Vantage software gets 27W charging, which is not possible with any USB-A to USB-C cable and QC3.0 charger.
Which may mean that maybe Xiaomi didn't want to pay for the QC4.0+ chipsets or something and did some weird stuff to get PD through QC3.0 by that pin and through the F2s software reducing the cost of the charger in the box and whatever else. As for this GaN 65W charger I have no idea on how they pull that off but is a proper PD charger
Since the update to Android 11, a set of cables that previously triggered the Turbo Charge, now suddenly work only as Fast Charge.
They were a bit slower than original before, but now they are a lot slower.
I only have the Accubattery measurements:
cca 4000 mA average on Android 10,
cca 3000 mA average on Android 11.
While the original charger + cable shows about 4500-5000 mA average.
They really managed to screw this device.
On ArrowOS my device charging at 1.8A and 7.5V with original charger and wire... so it depends on software. But anyway I don't want to downgrade from perfect OS to buggy MIUI only because of that.
I also have seen a weird change in charge speeds..
Used to be totally fine but it seems that for a while now the speeds are very slow and quickcharge isnt working anymore..

hey have the same problema. here. teh only way to get fast chager is with the original charger al cable. PD charger give me fast charge. but all my other chargers that gives me fast charger in other devices gives me NOTHING now.
original charger 4300 ma,
PD: 1200 ma
fast chargers QC 3 and others: 230 ma !!
****ty old chargers : 230 ma.
so what the hell? I was thinking that I screwed the port of the phone with magnetics cables before read this.
Just my 2 cents here. Don't try to charge this phone with super fast chargers. Mine developed the well known fault that you needed to press the corner of the phone to get it to start charging. I even opened it and put a bit of a tape behind the ribbon cable connector (as some guy suggested on YT). It started charging again and then after a couple of weeks and a few more quick charges it stopped charging at all. I guess heat affects the connector or some element on the board. I've just ordered a new usb board and ribbon cable from Ali and if the phone comes back to life again I will never ever use the original rapid charger that came with the phone.
Hey guys,
I want to know which one is the best charger for Pixel 7 Pro ! I am currently using Old Pixel 2's charger. But its not charge my phone in good speed. Hence is there any good Indian standard charger available in online portal...
I am using Nothing Phone Charger 45w pd + pps supported. 0-100 in 1.40 hrs...
Just use any good PD Charger. Am using Baseus GaN 65W PD charger. One charger for all my devices.
i am using this 33w charger, gives fast charge and its pretty small, has option of c to c as well as type c to usb. Works on my smart watch and TWS buds so dont need to carry 2 chargers while travelling.

Hi all,
Hello,
does anybody know/use what type of Xiaomi Original Wireless Charger and what apdapter for the non-pro Xiaomi13 to get the full fast 50w wireless charging?
There are several options out there
50w wireless charger
55w (seems the same as 50w just different branding/wattage printed on device)
80w with 120w apapter
There is no offical informations about that and otherwise there are no precise informations available somewhere over the internet.
Thanks in advance.
Apparently its option C (source, miui eu forum thread), but I got a regular 15w wireless charger, 80w is expensive, if I need it, I still got original charger for speed, also I heard it gets loud iwth the inbuilt fan and still fairly hot.

Hi. My phone is Xiaomi 13 Global version (codename is fuxi). I'm using xiaomi.eu stable rom.
A few month ago I've investigated this issue. So pls find below my findings:
1. Original wireless chargers 50w and 55w - both in black color. And for both the model is "MDY-12-EN". They are absolutely the same, the difference only as follow:
50W model (MDY-12-EN) - set of wireless charger + wired charger 67W + cable 6A
55W model (MDY-12-EN) - only wireless charger
2. The model "MDY-12-EN" will charge Xiaomi 13 by full 50W power
3. Regarding Xiaomi 13 Pro, the charging by model "MDY-12-EN" will be limited to 30W due to different location of magnetic coil.
4. That's why Xiaomi released in 2023 upgraded 50W version (in white color).
The new 50W model is "MDY-14-EN" especially for Xiaomi 13 Pro to get full 50W power. In addition, new model is more quiet than previous.
5. Soon I will test new 50W model "MDY-14-EN" with my Xiaomi 13 (not pro). I believe also get full 50W power.
6. Original wireless chargers 80W (MDY-13-ED) and 100W (MDY-13-EL) will charge Xiaomi 13/13Pro by full 50W power. The only remarks they are very loud and can be annoying while sleeping and resting.
7. Original Car wireless charger 50W, the model "WCJ05ZM", will charge Xiaomi 13 by full 50W power.
However, for Xiaomi 13 Pro the power will be limited to 30W due to different location of magnetic coil.
