Charging Cable alternative - Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro) Questions & Ans

Hello everyone,
The included data/charging cables with my poco f2 pro just failed after 3 weeks of use and I tried different cables I found in the house and non of them supports fast charging,
do you know where can I find a replacement cable that support mi turbo charge?

I currently occupy one of the Baseus brand and another of Ugreen, both bought on Aliexpress and they work without problems.

I noticed that when I use either of my other 2 cables the phone doesn't charge nearly as fast. I would suggest to spec the cable to ensure you still get that glorious fast charging ability

I saw another post that suggests there is an extra pin in the charger cable that came with the phone that enables the fastest charging. Using other cables made for fast charging seem to lack this pin so they are limited to normal fast charge modes which while still fast is not as fast as the turbo charge with this phone. On Aliexpress I found a cable from xiaomi that may work, search for 'xiaomi Redmi note 9 pro cable 5A Turbo fast charge' but I cant seen inside the usb connector well enough to tell if the extra pin is there.

That makes sense. Would explain why my OnePlus 7pro still will charge at it's rated warp charge but this phone doesn't.

I have huawei 40w charger,5A cable and not give me turbo charge, only quick...any solution? Problem is cable or charger?

Probably both if the cable isn't the one that came with the phone. As I mentioned in my last post their is an extra pin in the usb cable and also in the charger that probably enables turbo charge. I did find a xioami 33 watt charger and cable on Aliexpress that may work correctly.

This Lidl UBSc charging câble Works with turbo charge.

It has to be a USB C cable with at least 30 Watts PowerDelivery (PD) enabled. Your charger also needs to have at least 30watts output.

Mcdodo CA-743
The best cable I ever bought. its quick charge 4.0 compatible and the build quality is fantastic

When it comes to usb cables ( and chargers for that ) there is only one name for me ; anker.
They are not the cheapest but it's clear why you pay that price ; quality.
I got 2 of their braided cables ( one for at home and one for the car ) and after years of dailly use they are still flawless.
Their warranty is solid too, even if something goes wrong they will make it right.
Get them on amazon to be sure you get original.

2.1 amp car charger question

Bought a dual charger for the car, has 1 amp and 2.1 for devices like tables. When I plug the Tab Plus in the tablet gives me an X for charging and doesn't charge. Tried different cables. Any ideas??? GT 6210
Not compatible mHa...
Sent from my GT-P6210 using Tapatalk
So only Samsung OEM car and wall chargers work??? I even trid a lower amp charger in the house figuring it would just take longer to charger, and still get the X if it's not the Samsung wall charger.
2.1a is plenty to charge it, but as you said, only Samsung chargers will do it. It is highly annoying.

Interesting to note:
When the Tab/Tab+ is connected to an HDMI adapter (either dongle or stand version: I have both) the tab will draw power from ANY USB source and show it as charging. A generic 2.1 amp charger will add to the battery even while playing MAME on my HDTV using a BT PS3 controller while WIFI is enabled (a 500mA charger works too but cant keep up....in other words it will deplete your battery...just slower). The same generic charger will NOT charge my Tab+ when NOT connected to the HDTV/HDMI adapter.
It's charging, but it's only pulling 450mA. This is a safety measure to prevent pulling too much current from a computer USB port.
This is nuts. If it charges through an HDMI cable??It charges slowly through a computer??? I'm surprised nobody has come out with a "charge only" cable so it works generically. Obviously some of the pins can be left off or crossed to trick it.
I'd buy 3 and keep them all over the place!
I've seem them for Apple,I devices, even was shipped one by accident for my Ipod.
I'm writing CableJive! Maybe if they hear from enough of us they support out product. '[email protected]'
Eureka! I grabbed an old USB version 1 extension cable (female to Male) and plugged it on the end of my Tab sync power cable. Plugged it into Tab OEM wall charger, worked fine. Then I plugged it into a generic wall charger for phones (1amp) and IT IS CHARGING!
Still won't work on car adapter, tried 1 amp, 2.1amp, and 2.2 amp.
Ordered USB 2 extensions to test.
Have you made sure that the plug will charge something else? Make sure it will charge your phone or something. I know those dual micro-chargers have to be pushed with a lot more force than you would think. I would also check both ports on the dual charger. Usually only one of the ports will output 2.1 amps while the other only outputs 1 amp.
Quick semi-related charger question: are all Samsung Tab chargers the same? Or, at least, are they cross-compatible for charging?
I've got an imported tablet, and it's charging very slowly with a UK adaptor (which was supplied by the import company... had been expecting more, I have to say).
If I tool up and go shopping for a genuine Samsung Galaxy Tab charger, will any of them do, or do I need to be specific? Does anyone know?
i got one of these handy.

i bought it from DX few months back. http://dx.com/p/usb-power-adapter-for-samsung-p1000-81753?item=1
and it charges my fone with any usb chargers i have.. i also use it for my 2.1A car charger and works as expected.
I second the adapter recommendation shown above. I just wish it had some way to tie it to the cable so it doesn't get misplaced. They're pretty cheap, though, so I bought a couple extra.

Can anyone confirm that quick charge really works? I mean there is a quick charge notification in the lock screen and the two thunderbolts instead of simple charging and one thunderbolt?
@tap007 @perzan07 @evilpaul13
As long as I know most of the market chargers support Qualcomm Quick Charge in any of its three versions. QC 3.0 has backward-compatible with QC 2.0 and QC 1.0 devices so buying a QC 3.0 is the simplest answer for a devices that use a Qualcomm processor but Honor 8 uses a HiSilicon Kirin 950.
QC 1.0 is 5V and 2.0A and QC 2.0 and 3.0 are 5/9/12V 3A. The chargers have a driver based in Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage (INOV) to know how to charge the phone. I've read somewhere that Huawei QuickCharger has it own charging protocol and can charge QC 2.0 devices but a QC 2.0 charger cannot charge a Huawei (not Qualcomm) device.
So what I expect from all of those quick chargers in the market is that NOT recognise the Honor 8 as a compatible device and give it less than 5V 2A (10W), probably 5V 1A (5W) that are not the 9V 2A (18W) expected.
That's why I ask for a confirmation that charger and device recognise themselves and quick charge is really activated.
PS: In their webpage, Aukey says the following: "AUKEY AiPower Adaptive Charging Technology gives all your USB powered devices exactly what they need with up to 2.4A per Ai USB Port." and "Combine AUKEY AiPower with Qualcomm Quick Charge in a single USB port and you get PowerAll Adaptive Charging for all USB powered devices. One USB charging port to rule them all!" so maybe their chargers are compatible but I still looking for a confirmation somewhere. (I don't trust too much Alibaba, aliexpress, eBay... product descriptions).
Thanks!
I've gotten two chargers off there and both, including the car one I linked, support Huawei's Fast Charge. I get the Fast Charge message, my battery icon turns green AIDA64 says I'm charging at >1A. My battery has been lasting long enough I haven't bothered charging it in the car much though.

I was unable to order them so I ordered an Aukey one with AiPower that I think could work. If does I'll post it here. If not I'll resell it to someone with a QC device. Thanks for the advice!
Well I've received the Aukey charger and I've to say that the info I read on some forums is wrong and it is not compatible with our device (and probably not compatible with any not Qualcomm Huawei/Honor device). The item bought was that:
http://www.ebay.es/itm/252404366500?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

https://www.aukey.com/products/dual...ick-charge-2-0-aipower-with-usb-a-to-c-cable/
Review:
It came with 2 high quality USB cables, one microUSB and one USB-C. It looks as a high end product and works fine as a regular charger. May be your car charger if you are the owner of a Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 compatible device. About the seller just say it took 4 weeks to be in my place (one week less than average China packages).
Check pics attached. Regards.
I have the Elephone "Tornado" charger on order from the 'Bay, and supposedly it supports HFCP AND comes with dual charging ports.

Any updates on the charger ?
Huawei does not support FAST CHARGING, it has its own unique charging which is Super Fast Charging, if you bought a car charger or any charger and use it and it did not show Super Fast charging Notification or your battery icon on the upper right has no 2 electric logo inside the battery icon it means you bought the wrong charger.
Hi
You have to look for Huawei AP32 it's Original Huawei wall charger
and Huawei AP38 it's Genuine Huawei Car charger.
Just to add more info regarding the ''fast charging''
I have orderd from ebay some cheap usb type C cable
And it works fine and gives the ''fast charge'' messege and I have
tested it ... it also takes same time in minutes to charge the phone..
So that means it has no difference to use that usb cable..
Some of my phones as soon as I changed the usb cable were not fast charging
That why I am reporting it ..
To anyone interested, I searched Nillkin's site for Honor 8 accessories and it gave a result for a car charger, called Nillkin Celerity Car Charger. It does support 9V/2A so I believe it should work with Honor 8.
I also found it in eBay cheaper than in Nillkin's site.
Also, Huawei Honor AP31 car charger should the job. It does support quick charge. Found it in eBay for about 25 US$.
P.S. Sorry but I cannot post links, since this is my first post.

Do any USB 3 cable support Warp Charging?

Was wondering if you can Warp Charge the Oneplus 7 Pro with any USB 3 cable? (oneplus warp charger but any USB-C cable)?
Or does it have to be the red cable.
And also, would any USB-C cable charge the phone normally at least?
Thanks!

I wouldn't say any, but at least those rated 5v 4A do or could also support warp charging current at 5V 6A . The Anker 6ft powerline+ supports it despite not being labeled. What happens is Warp is relatively new and they didn't see that coming in order to test and label the cables.

You need the Warp charger and a compatible cable from Oneplus for Warp Charge due to the proprietary charging technology. If the charger you use supports USB-PD you get a maximum of 5V/3A.

You don't need 5A rated cable necessary. Good quality cable could haldle more than 6A and 5V. Its not like the cable are programed or have a chip in them. just need a thick enough coil and well soldered USB C connector.[COLOR="Silver

I use the one plus 3 cable and it warp charges. The OP 5T one works too
Yes other cables including OnePlus cable will work with the warp charging block. I use those same amazon cables with my 6T and have test those cables on a friends 7 Pro and they work great. OnePlus is trying to lead people to believe otherwise so they can charge $5 more per cable just because it says warp on it. Just more proof OnePlus is all about the money now even if it comes down to lies and ripping off their fan base.
Don't get me wrong business is business and I still like OnePlus phones...Just saying the days of cheap phones with them are coming to an end, even if they still under cut the other major players we will be paying more for phones among other things from them in the future.
The stock cable is usb 2 btw

Hi guys first time here. I am not entirely sure what you are asking. If you are looking for a USB warp charge compatible cable you can use the one linked. BTW that cable is magnetic meaning that it disconnects under too much pressure. I've tested these guys cable before and can say for sure they warp charge. But its standard USB type A to type C. Just like the red cable that comes with the oneplus.
Actually, yes. I have been testing this recently. If you buy ANY USB 3.1 cable that has Superspeed+, it absolutely works for warp charging. I tried using all of the ones I have at home, and they all work. One of them is random generic cable, one of them is walmart's Blackweb brand, and the other is from amazon. None of them are warp charge cables. They are all USB 3.1. When used, they all show the warp charge symbol, and using ampere shows that it indeed charges at the same rate as the original cable. This should help us in finding the cables that we want, etc.!
I was extremely surprised, because I had the 6T before this, and dash charge definitely does not work with the same cables mentioned.
I tried this cable that was Superspeed+ and USB 3.1 compatible and it did not seem to work. Any thoughts as to why?

Quick Charging with Aftermarket Chargers?

I'm sure this phone works fine with aftermarket chargers like the Anker PowerPort Atom PD 2, but will it charge the phone faster? While the 18W fast charger included with the phone is good, it is admittedly slow to charge the massive battery this thing has.. I don't really care about reducing the lifetime of the battery all that much given that i usually don't use a single phone for longer than an year so i'd be happy if an aftermarket charger can charge the phone faster without setting it on fire.. Any thoughts?

Sketchy as it is used for marking 30W wireless and 100W wired I believe. Mind using an app that checks the reall wattage speed? Maybe (Ampere)?
Redmi Note 8 Pro uses Type-C interface, and the data transmission standard is USB2.0. Supports Quick charge4 + fast charge protocol, USB Power Delivery (USB PD) fast charge protocol, MediaTek Pump Express 2.0, 4.0.
Give me link for charger Turbo plisss
For me the pixel 2xls charger is showing turbo charging screen as posted above.. charging at 3300 to 3500 mah on accubattery..

i compare this adapter with stock adapter
this time im compare with app battrey log

My Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charger shows quick charge. It's one from Hama I got a couple months ago for about 20-30 quid. I am pretty sure any QQC 3.0 charger will work
So is it beneficial to go for aftermarket chargers, specially while using custom roms?

About using no Super VOOC chargers / cables ?

Hello everyone, I just purchased a Oppo Find X2 Pro, and Im really happy so far with the phone (just 2 weeks using it). I went through most of the posts in this forum before posting and I decided to register and discuss about a few things.
This post comes from my idea of trying to find compatible chargers and cars so I can have other options besides the one that comes with the phone
I read here several posts from people recommending NOT to use in a daily basis the official Super Vooc charger that comes with the phone, and that surprises me.
I had been talking with OPPO Uk support in the last days, asking them if this would damage the battery, and they always end up telling me the same sentence:
Use OPPO original charging cable and USB adapter. Third-party accessories might not be compatible with OPPO smartphone and cause problems.

I feel like this may be just so you buy their accesories.
For example, I wanted to get a Super Vooc 2.0 charger but since its out of stock in the UK, I asked if then I couldnt charge at all my Find X2 Pro in my car, which was annoying, and I could temporarily use a regular car charger, so then they said:
As long as the cable is compatible with your Find X2 Pro model, you shoud be able to as the adaptor in question is just the adaptor and not the cable that goes into the phone's charging port.

So I was looking for some experts opinion on charging the Find X2 Pro, since in the OPPO suport pages theres no info at all, which is annoying since its a new technology and they should explain the options we have to charge it.
For example, can I charge it using something like a usb socket from a Xiaomi Power Strip (which I have)?:

And if I can, do I have to user the official super vooc cable or just a regular usb-c usb-a cable?
Also, can I use one of my samsung usb chargers but using the usb-c cable?
Several questions like these ones I asked to OPPO support just to have the same reply of ussing the official to avoid problems. I asked besides charging slower would it cause any damage? and they wont reply directly but just say that its possible that damage could be done...
Charging through USB port uses standardized process. A phone must charge with any 5V USB power source and cable.
The charging speed may differ depending on charger and cable capabilities. You should just avoid low cost / poor quality chargers and cables as sometimes they doesn't fulfill the requirements (max voltage, current control, ...).
I'm charging my phone overnight using an old Sony 800mA charger with a OnePlus Dash charge cable, so it charges slowly and the phone remains cold.
At home on my desk I use a Legrand power strip with integrated 2A USB ports when I don't need fast charging, and it works fine.
At work I'm using a OnePlus Dash charger from my old 3T and its cable, and it's recognized by the phone as a VOOC charger ... Who said sister companies ?
Thanks for your reply. I imagined that in all of those cases the phone would charge, yes of course it works any charger and cable just changing the speed. The question for me is, could it be somewhat harmful to the battery in the long term. After the phone is expecting a super vooc cable and super vooc charger on the other side. Maybe this is stupid, I dont know much about electricity/batteries/etc...

You can use magnetic cables as well. A friend uses these vooc magnetic cables to charge his one plus device. He has two devices the 5t and 7 it both warp charges and dash charges.
