Pretty sure LG G7 supports [email protected]! Bounty! - LG G7 ThinQ Guides, News, & Discussion

Coming from the xperia xz premium, I like to keep an eye on that forum also.
They managed to crank up the refresh rate to the display panel to an whooping [email protected] using lineage aosp 15.1
Link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xz...nel-screen-frame-rate-lineageos-15-1-t3930057
Also in that thread you'll find information on how they do it.
Please, if someone on AOSP can try to crank up the refresh rate and give us feedback. Appreciate and willing to donate 100$ for successful mod.

i don't think so. G7 display and xzp is not different. How to sure is support [email protected]?.

Yes and no
Lg g7 don't have same resolution of the sony
you can increase hz but i think there is a band problem and so you need to have a very low resolution to have high refresh rates (if display support it)

[Q] Which current android phones support slow motion (high fps recording)?

Hello
I would like to buy an Android phone that supports high frame rate recording, sometime also referred at 'slow motion' by manufacturers.
Ideally, I'd like 120 fps, but 60 fps is ok too.
I am aware that this feature is usually only available for lower frame sizes (VGA or QVGA) but that does not bother me.
The problem is that it is really hard to get this information from vendors and review website. There were a few pre-Android phones like that from Nokia, LG and Samsung.
Motorola Razr XT910 seems to support 120 fps, but I don't know any owner that could confirm this.

Does your phone support high speed frame grabbing? Please let me know.
Thank you!

High Refresh Rate Mod

I just saw an article that mentioned a mod for the Xiaomi MI 9 that allegedly unlocks a higher refresh rate for the display (84 Hz). So naturally I was wondering, is there a way to do something similar with the XZ3? The displays have pretty much the same specs.

If i remember correctly all SODP supported xperias have a 120hz display running in 60hz (?) on stock and sodp.
I don't know if all of these have the hardware power to support it, but there are people working in it at the sodp project, so sodp based custom ROMs can support it.
But please don't ask for an ETA
the stock firmware is a different story I can't answer.

That's great news then, thanks! And I would never ask for an ETA
XZ3 is probably different from the Xperias preceding it as it has an OLED screen. The 120Hz Xperias have an LCD screen.

The Xperia 1 has a 120 Hz display as well (confirmed), and it's OLED.

Yeah, I don't remember that the xz3 has no 120hz display.
It should have one too.

Any way for 90hz refresh mod?

Is there any possible way to install 90hz refresh mod ( present in Oneplus 7t ) on our Oneplus 7 ?
Is our OP7 supports that?
I saw some xiaomi flagships has such mods installed but why not in OP7 till now?
Any good reason?
Does it has anything to do with Fluid Amoled display?
Nonsense, it's hardware related, op7 screen only capable 60hz

Do you know how to do it? Any links or posts or topics ?
There are quite a few 60hz refresh rate phones that can use the 90hz refresh rate. Currently I have not found a way to open the 90hz refresh rate on Oneplus 7. I tried this app to turn on the 90hz refresh rate, because Oneplus 7 has no DTBO, it has not been successfully opened 90hz. But this is not due to hardware.
I request any developer to develop a mod for 90hz refresh rate for our op7 or provide a process to do so that i will test on my phone..
I'm pretty sure there's a way to increase the refresh rate.
What we'll need to find out, when a Dev actually looks into that, is how stable is it, and by how much? And will it be convenient enough (battery, durability).
I really hope that the screen is actually as good as OP7T
Any news about that?

The app has been updated, but it still does not work for OnePlus 7.
There are many factors here.
For example: Mi 9 uses an 85Hz panel underclocked to 60Hz, that's the reason why this type of mods can easily enable this feature without any side effects (Ignoring the extra energy consumption of course), I don't know how Redmi K20/Mi9T screen is, but I assume it will be something similar.
Another important thing to keep in mind: OnePlus uses command-mode to control the panel (this method precludes any external modification that is attempted over the panel controller) while Xiaomi for some strange who-knows-reason uses video-mode (If I'm not wrong, Xiaomi is the only manufacturer that uses this method in high-end devices with OLED panels), and basically this method facilitates modifications to the the different dtbo's/panel controllers.
I don't want to break anyone's hopes, but currently I don't think anyone outside Samsung has the ability to change the refresh rate of this panel, these screens were strongly designed to work this way and only in this way.

90hz or 120hz

Hi guys shot in the dark here but is it at all possible to have a higher refresh rate enabled as I've read that one of the Chinese phones (think it was oppo) was modded via kernel to overclock the refresh rate of the panel to something like 84hz
Not a problem if not just have to wait for the note 20 if not
Just be nice if possible
Thanks
any screen/monitor/tv that is capable of "modding" to a higher refresh rate is because the hardware supports it and was only limited by the software/firmware. So modding the software/firmware unlocks the full hardware potential.
The Note 10's screen just not capable of higher rate at a hardware level AFAIK.

Speakerphone (loudness, clarity)

Proper etiquette aside (hint: don't use speakerphone while doing your "business" in a public bathroom), rate this thread to express how you think the OnePlus 8T's speakerphone performs. A higher rating indicates that you love it: it's loud and it's clear.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Thought of buying it, saw the 2018 resolution "2340 * 1080". I am using Oppo Find X2 with 120Hz and Quad HD, I can never justify this purchase. The only reason they went with Full HD+ instead of Quad HD was because 8T would have eaten into the Pro marketshare. It's a sad corporate decision and will cost them dearly the money the people that want to have the latest and fastest features. ROG Phone 3 I can understand, One plus 8T is supposed to be for media consumption primarily, not gaming, so it's a terrible terrible decision to go for Full HD+.

Yeah, as you said...but why under the comment regarding speakephone? Wtf? :silly:
Came here to find actual opinions about the speakers. Instead, I found the most irelevant comment. Thanks for letting us know about the phone having fullhd+ resolution, I guess. I'm sure no one knew.
