Mi4c shows logo and powers off - Xiaomi Mi 4C

Hi everyone,
I'm having a big problem on my Xiaomi MI4C; When I powered it on its shows the logo and immediately powers off. I don't of if it is a problem of software or something else. Note that a few months ago the phone fall down and the screen cracked and part of the screen was not working but I was able to use it. I also noticed a few days ago that the screen started flickering and the phone and the phone restarted when that happen. I ignored the problem as it happened rarely but now it only shows its logo and powers off. Can you please tell if it's the screen the problem or a software issue or even a battery problem. Please help me out because I need to repair the phone urgently. Contact me on [email protected]

Hi, here is a battery test:
- turn the phone off
- connect it to a quality 2A charger via a short (<1m), thick, quality USB cable
- turn it on (while still connected to the charger)
If your Mi4C starts OK now then the battery is 100% bad.

Bluescreen with following reboot

Hello everybody,
a friend of mine bought my Motorola Moto G. But he is having a lot of trouble. After an unexpecting but markable time a bluescreen appears and the phone starts to reboot.
He told me, that it also happens after he did a factory reset. Also his SIM-card is a normal card which he received from the provider and is not cut to micro-sim by himself. He tried it with 2 different providers. Same problem...
I took it back and made a test about 48 hours. Nothing happend. I also did a factory reset. After I updated the firmware to 4.4.2 also nothing happend. The system is not rooted and the bootloader is still locked.
Does anyone has an idea?
Thanks advance for your help.

Hello, similar problem with my one. Phone has arrived on tuesday, today i was playing Dead Trigger 2, when screen turns completely into blue and few seconds later phone just shut down. I´m pretty sure there were about 30% battery left. Now I´m unable to power it off and when I plug it into charger (using my sony 5V/850mA wall charger), phone starts burn after few minutes.

[Q] Black screen but charging led lights up

Hi There,
Yesterday morning I went to work with a completely charged Moto G. When I arrived at work my screen was black and had become unresponsive.
The powerbutton doesn't wake up the phone, tried several times, holding it for more than 150sec. When connected to a charger (tried multipe) the charging led lights up, not blinking.
I have read on a motorola forum that this could indicate that there's insufficient power in the battery to activate the display.
However it was completely charged.
My Moto G has an unlocked bootloader, is rooted and has a custom rom (C-Rom, [ROM][AOSP][KK][12/05] **C-RoM** -4.4.2- -v6.5)
Is there anything I can try or is my phone a brick now?
Thanx in advance
The same problem
I am having the same problem too.
My moto G drained its battery until it shut down. Then i promptly went to charge it. The screen is blank and and notification light is on.
snooze1973 did u find a solution or is it now working?
PS My Moto g bootloader unlocked, stock rom, rooted and it is on the Faux123kernel
Thanks in advance
No luck Yet
No luck yet, left it on the charger for a whole night, still just the white charging led. No response to the power button.
But I refuse to believe it is completely dead. Before I had a HTC Desire S, tried many custom roms, never bricked it.
I just can't imagine what happend the day before yesterday.
Perhaps I'll try and find a more powerfull charger.

I think I found a solution. I followed these steps
1. Charge your phone via USB cable on your computer.
2. The white notification light should come on.
3. Then, do not touch any buttons on your phone.
4 The iconic Battery Logo(white background) should appear after several minutes.
Followed these steps and my phone eventually turned on
Good luck!!
Still no luck, trying a different cable (blackberry) now.
Not working for me, still just a beautiful white led indicator.
Start to think it's probably dead. Or battery thinks it's drained somehow.
Maybe anyone else has an idea?
Ok, I opened the Moto G and disconnected the battery, reconnected it after 10 sec. still no luck
Odd thing though and not very promising is that when the battery is disconnected the charging led still lights up when charger is connected.
Could this just mean that only the battery is fully drained or that the device is messed up?
Guess I going for a new one.
See if a new battery helps
Bought a new one today, so I can try and fix the other. First I will leave it for at least 24 hours.
Perhaps I will exchange the batteries at one time to see if that helps.

Black screen but charging led lights up
I am experiencing the same issue.
I bought a dead moto g for part replacement with my current moto g. Just out of curiosity, I plugged in the charger to the newly arrived moto g and observed the similar behavior.
To go further, I swapped the battery and tried to turn it on, and voila, it boots!! It has C-ROM. But it won't charge the battery any how. Its again back to
original behavior : No Screen, No Battery Charging, Only notification LED glows. I kept it on charger for whole night, but no luck.
The notification LED turns on even if I the battery is removed and charger is plugged in. What does that really mean?
Is there a probability that the charging circuit is broken? or it has something to do with bootloader, C-ROM and custom kernel? Does any one thinks reverting back to Stock ROM will help out in any way?
Same here...
Exactly the same with my little brother his Moto G 4G (1st gen) (stock rom, BL unlocked & rooted).
Solid white LED when plugged in, no other response.
The most advertised trick does not work (step 6: flashboot screen doesn't show up)
Q28: Moto G will not power up (addition to Q16 and Q25)
Plug it into the charger
Hold the VOL DOWN key
While still holding the VOL DOWN key, press and hold the POWER key
Hold both keys down for over 120 seconds. This is more than two minutes and will seem like a long time. You might want to time yourself to make sure you hold it longer than two minutes.
After holding the keys down for more than two minutes, release them.
The Flash Boot screen will display, and the Normal Reboot option will be highlighted
Press the VOL UP key and the device will start a normal reboot.
If you have tried the above and it didn't work, try this:
Plug in the phone for 15 minutes.
Proceed to Step 2 above.

It has been an hour on the charger of my Asus T100 Tablet (5V, 2A). Still no luck...
Due to the lack of other solutions, I guess all our phones are ready for RMA...
Update: an overnight charge on a 5V 1A charger did the trick. White led was gone this morning, booted normally.

I don't know why a USB charger and a PC connection should make any difference when the phone is not booted up.
I had the same problem. I solved it by removing the battery by opening the phone (mine was out of warranty) and taking it to repair shop where they charged the battery for an hour. Then when I put it back in, the phone rebooted normally with 10% charge.
But ever since, my battery life has deteriorated. Doesn't even last one full day. And I have had the same issue twice. I think I need a new battery.

I have a simple solution for that I have faced this issue long time ago and now I know a permanent solution. You all have usb cables in your house...just took a old one and cut it from the mini usb side..there are 4 wires...you have to care about red and black..open your moto g battery and took it off from the phone now connect the usb cable to your pc and touch the red wire to the positive and black to the negative ...just do this for 45 seconds and immediately connect the battery to the phone and connect the charger...phone will starts charging from 0 % pls do not wait to connect the switch and back cover just charge it upto 20 % the cover it up.....DO NOT LET YOUR BATTERY DRAIN MORE THAN 30% AS THIS IS COMMON PROBLEM IN LI ION BATTERIES...

Interesting, but how did you determine the negative and positive terminals on the battery flex? Can you, please, mark the attached photo of the battery of moto g to help the community?
Also, as a side note I think I discovered a solution - I connected the phone to my PC's usb 2.0 port and held the power button for 2 minutes - at which the LED blinked momentarily and then continues to shine. I left the phone connected and continued to browse for solutions to this battery charging dilemma - then about 5 minutes the LED stopped shining (and I breathed a sigh :silly: !!! becaue this is the sign of battery being charged!) and after about 30 minutes of charging I turned the phone on and it was 16% charged. Well I haven't been able to reproduce this solution (since, I have been extra cautious with the battery now!) but I would surely like to know if anyone can reproduce this solution:
1. Plug in your phone to USB 2.0 or 3.0 port with original moto g cable and confirm that the LED shines continuously.
2. Hold the power button for 2 minutes (which I discovered to be a long time if you just continuously stare at the phone!) after which you will notice that the led with blink momentarily before continuing to shine continuously. (I suggest you continue holding it for another 2 minutes after which the led will blink again momentarily)
3. Leave the power button and leave the phone attached to the port for at least 30 mins before attempting to power on.

unresponsive touch screen in a brand new phone JIAKE G910

I have the same phone for about 3 days. Today, after connecting to USB for several hours to fully charge the phone, the touch screen is suddenly totally unresponsive. I had to disconnect the battery to turn it off. I boot up in recovery mode and did a factory reset, and after power up I got back the factory default wall paper, "the balloons" which means that factory reset was done, but touch screen is still totally unresponsive. I power cycled several times thereafter but could not get the touch screen to respond again. Is this expected for a cheap phone from China? I could not believe the touch screen lasted only one day for a brand new phone. I would appreciate any help or info to get the touch screen to respond again.
Thank you in advance for any pointers to fix this problem.

Just a short update on this problem. Since the only thing that changed was the battery was fully charged for the first time. I decided to let it run down despite the touch screen being unresponsible. Guess what; the next morning when I checked it, the screen is still unresponsive but when I disconnected the battery to turn it off and reconnected battery to power it back up. The touch screen is now WORKING normally. Battery level reads 39%. There seemed to be a hardware issue that caused the touch screen to not work when the battery voltage is at the fully charged value around 4.2 volt. I'm charging it up again to see what happens.
The second issue with this phone is the ad claimed that this phone has GPS sensor but Google map says that "GPS is disabled" and I have not found a way to enable it.
2nd Update
I charged it up to 100% using an USB power supply instead of the USB interface from the laptop and did not see the unresponsive touch screen problem again so battery voltage is probably not the problem. Perhaps the interaction between the phone and laptop over USB is the culprit. I did not install the driver for the phone because I was using the USB from the laptop only for charging. Anyway touch screen seemed to work normally but GPS sensor is not available, as in not installed in hardware.

Does your pc detect anything when you plug usb cable ?
Yes, it detects, but then disconnects, can it be a problem in the battery?
Chances are you have received a refurbished device or defective battery.
Try and find another Mi4 user for trial of the battery or let's see you need to contact the vendor soon.

Charge via wall adapter. Leave it for some time.
PS: When your battery reaches 9-10%, it is advisable to charge it back to 100%.

I just got this issue 10min ago. Havn't depleted the battery on the phone for a very long time, my guess is that it hasn't calibrated the battery in a while or something like that. Will keep it in the fast charger during the night and then i'll reply here.
EDIT: Normally the red LED is constantly on when the battery is low and it's in the charger, now it's flashing which makes it look a bit more scary.
EDIT2: Works fine now after a night of charging
Charger could be not pushing enough voltage to charge battery. Try another one to see if it remedies the issue.
I do have the same problem with my Mi4. I wanted to start the update in the Updater app (to Android 6 version of Xiaomi.eu) and suddenly it turned off (at 100% battery). When I connect my phone with my computer it is recognized and all the partitions are mounted. And with all I mean all. There are about 7 partitions mounted (Linux and Windows) and they keep being mounted until I disconnect the phone. I let my Mi4 on the wall charger for 24 hours (2A Samsung one which charges all my other devices without any problems) but I still have the blinking red light after connecting it to the charger. Any other things I can do to get it running again?
EDIT: I can't see the phone in fastboot or adb and when I keep the power button pressed for about 10s it seems to disconnect and instantly reconnect the phone.

I solved this problem on my own. Even though the phone doesn't show up on the fastboot devices list you can use the Mi Flash Tool to flash the fastboot update (http://xiaomiadvices.com/miui-7-flash-fastboot-rom-on-xiaomi-phones-using-mi-flash-tool/). The drivers installed with the Mi Flash Tool for the Windows 10 Mobile Release (http://en.miui.com/thread-189369-1-1.html) recognize all the partitions as one device and show it with a cryptical name in the flash list.
Hi ! I fully charged the phone and after it shuted down. It doesn't starts. PC doesn't see it. When I'm plugin the wire just half way into the phone the red light stays on for a few seconds and than nothing at all. Can anyone help me?
Push power+vol up for quite enough lets say 20 sec
same problem here i kept charging for whole night but phone not getting on.. only red LED comes when kept for charging and not detected in PC also. Can any 1 help on this
I had the same problem ( strangely,it occured after a whole night charging, f... knows what happened)
Tried to change charger. No luck. The phone won't even boot by pushing Vol down+ Power
Solution: I simply connected the phone to a portable external charger, and tadaaaa !!! it was brought back to life !
Hope this helps

Rogers LG Nexus 5 Sudden Death Doesn't Turn On/ Charge

Hello guys,
Here is the problem in a nutshell. Rogers Nexus 5, unmodified. Stock ROM. Working 100% normal until yesterday. No kind of water or physical damage at all. Just died. Does not power on. Nothing shows on display. Does not charge. Totally unresponsive.
The only response I get is that when plugged into the wall charge and power button is held long, it vibrates every 7 seconds. If unplugged, no vibration whatsoever. Also when plugged into the PC, it is detected by Windows but only as portable media player which is completely empty when double clicked.
Do I simply need a new battery? I am baffled. Please help!
When you connect the phone to a wall charger, does the led blink red or us there nothing?
Absolutely nothing happens. No LED light, no Google logo on display, nothing.
It may be a dead or defective battery. Only way to really trouble shoot would be to replace the battery to see if that solves the problem.
Taking the phone apart is quite easy.
I replaced the battery but still nothing. It only vibrates when power button is pressed long.
No other response, LED or display whatsoever.
The phone was never modified or damaged in anyway. Please help!
To help diagnose the problem, having another Nexus 5 would help a great deal. If you swap your motherboard into a working phone and things work as normal after the swap, you know it is not the motherboard that is bad.
