Is EDL mode available for all the devices having sanpdragon/qualcom processor? Is it something related to this brand of processor? My main concern is about my device: Xiaomi Mi Note 3 (Jason). So is there EDL mode for Xiaomi Mi Note 3 (Jason). I had the bootloader unlocked and TWRP installed. In TWRP there was option to reboot to EDL. Though I didn't get success to do so as selecting that option, the device acted as it has entered into EDL but after few seconds I found it to be rebooted to system actually.
Somehow mistakenly, I've relocked my bootloader as I flashed miui 9.6.1.0 China Stable ROM (fastboot)using miflash tool. Now weired and painfull re-unlocking process of Xiaomi has kept me waiting for 72 hours. Meanwhile I am trying to enter into EDL mode and to do so I tried tools like "Fastboot to EDL" version 1 & 2 both (I've successfully used these several times once I had Redmi Note 3 SE aka 'Kate') but result is the same as it reboots to system. Recently, I bought a deep flash cable/EDL cable from Ali Express. I successfully used it to enter EDL once I had Redmi Note 3 SE aka 'Kate'. Now I am trying to enter EDL of Xiaomi Mi Note 3 (Jason) and this time.... obvously the result is same as it reboots to systm. So I am repeating my questions:
1. Is EDL mode available for all the devices having sanpdragon/qualcom processor? If the answer is 'No'... then
2. Does Xiaomi Mi Note 3 (Jason) has EDL mode? If the answer is 'Yes'... then
3. Is there anything I am doing wrong to enter EDL? If the answer is 'yes'... then
4. How can I enter into EDL mode?
Please help!!!!!!
I don't know on all snapdragon devices. This question is silly
Yes, note 3 has edl mode. On edl mode phone has black screen. Edl mode enter standard. Like other devices.

If you device is bricked and you can't enter edl mode via adb or fastboot it is possible to enter edl mode when you open phone cover
---------- Post added at 08:02 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:01 AM ----------
There is a lot online photos, movie on YouTube when is "button" to do it

There is two test points which should be merged for example with scissors or other metal, then phone will boot in edl and you could flash with locked bootloader bricked etc

"fastboot oem edl"
Thanks a lot for your reply.
Yes, I know how a device act in EDL mode as the screen goes blank. Hundred times I got sucess, entering EDL mode when I had Redmi Note 3 SE (Kate). I never opened my phone back side to enter EDL. Used a tool or adb/fastboot command. But now, as my current device is Xiaomi Mi Note 3 (Jason), I am not getting success entering EDL. It just reboots. So please help me to get my device entering EDL without openning the back part.
My phone is not bricked. Its runnning on miui 9.6.1.0 China Stable.
I already tried the method you suggested. Typing 'fastboot oem edl', it says: Oem edl comnand is not allowed lock state'.
You cant enter edl mode on locked bootloader without opening phone, sorry

Is this rule specially applicable for Xiaomi Mi Note 3 (Jason)?
I've entered EDL several times without opening on locked Redmi Note 3 SE (Kate).
Note 5 the same, for enter edl with locked bl you must open phone
My bad...... I haven't done this before!
Software related issues can be solved but when it's hardware.... If I do something wrong!?! So don't want to take that risk. So saying 'Ta Ta' to Xiaomi Mi Note 3 EDL!

No problem.
P. S. A small curiosity - there is a second USB input on the motherboard (other plug) if you want to, for example. Unlock bootloader without permission xiaomi, for example there is possible to hack bootloader and install fake rom with locked bootloader. All of us know that some China shops sell phone with fake global Rom
I'm afraid! I didn't get your query! Are you suggesting me to unlock BL unofficially (without permission)? or A method to do so?
Or, you are suspecting me to have a device with fake ROM?
No and no. Unblock always with official way.
---------- Post added at 04:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:08 PM ----------
I only want to say how it is possible to unlock bootloader without permission and install fake rom ?
---------- Post added at 04:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:21 PM ----------
Never do it ?
Yeah! There are few devices those allow you to play around. You can unlock bootloaders of those, unofficially or without permission. Redmi Note 3 (Kenzo & Kate both) are like this and it doesn't create a problem at all.
After unlocking unofficially, you can flash any custom ROM you want.
But now a days, Xiaomi is manufacturing their devices ensuring more & more securities both from software & hardware part and thus unofficial unlocking is getting more & more difficult.

I haven't had any difficulty with the OPO, but have with other phones in the past. I have ADB and google drivers installed, probably worth installing them using the below link if you havent already. I normally find I have to go into device manager on the PC and remove the existing driver(s) first, remove anything ADB/android/mobile phone driver related and then install the ones from the below program. Also check the 'stay awake' option in developer settings in case there are any on screen prompts or messages on your phone. The one I always missed was when I connected to the PC and it seemed to find my phone, but there was an debugging authorisation confirmation message (something like that! think it has your PC's mac address in it) that popped up on the phone which you needed to say yes to to complete the ADB driver install.

I have used the below tool kit
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/oneplus-one-toolkit-manudroid19-gui-t2807418
Maybe Universal ADB Driver?
http://adbdriver.com/
I tried both methods and nothing happened , it seems to stuck at the fastboot mode and doesn't reboot like it should when i type in '' fastboot oem unlock '' it showed the serial when i type in '' fastboot devices ''

Issue this command:
Code:
fastboot oem device-info
What does it say?
Transmitted via Bacon
I'd strongly recommend nobody uses a toolkit. They allow the user to do things to their phone without having an actual knowledge of what's happening. They bypass some very crucial learning experience with fastboot, and it's this experience that'll get you out of trouble with something goes wrong later. Anyway, this is the world's easiest phone to unlock and root, it only takes a matter of minutes.

Hi guys, I am facing a lot of issues after the marshmallow update on moto G3, locked and unrooted. The thing that triggered this was one day when my internal memory got full, it rebooted. And since then i have faced unbelievable number of issues. No notifications, quick access not working, home n recent buttons not working, incoming call getting rejected and lots of other issues. When i try to enable developer settings and tap build number multiple number of times, nothing happens. No matter how much i try, i am not able to enable developer settings. USB debugging is not working of course and computer won’t recognise the phone, not even in mtp mode. Since quicksettings/notification pulldown is not working, there is no way to change it to MTP mode.
Further, when i go to backup and reset in settings, i see that that the reset option is grayed out. When i try to go to recovery to hard reset, it won’t go to the recovery, just stays on that stupid ‘no input’ screen despite pressing power and volume up key together. I am out of options and since the usb debugging is not working i dunno what more i can do to salvage the phone! Please help me if you can…

Thanks for searching the commands, but sadly it won't work since the debugging is not on. As i mentioned in the OP, adb is not able to see the device. I could just flash the os again if fastboot commands were working! I am still this problem coz fastboot is useless as i am not able to turn on debugging.

Ok let me give u a liitle background to make u understand the exact situation. When the issue began about 3 weeks back, the 1st thing i thought of doing was to connect it to my computer and reflash the firmware from lost101's thread. So after I installed the Official Android 10 GSI just out of curiousity, it worked and the only reason I didn't stay with it was because it didnt have the new gestures and no lockscreen options. Everything else worked amazingly.
At this point I just wanted to install LineageOS and root but the phone kept rebooting to TWRP over and over no matter what I'd flash and no matter how many times I wiped it kept rebooting until it eventually got no response at all.
I tried everything restoring back up nothing, when I tried just flashing the zip file the recovery screen just kept flashing then rebooted back. I cannot save this for life of me I am left with a paperweight.
Ive tried the classic Moto G force restart trick but no luck in anything. No matter what I tried now it wont respond to any button presses. Am I just screwed? I'm waiting 24 hours before trying again while plugged in. What am i to do?

Hi guys, today I was playing Teamfight Tactics on my OnePlus 7 Pro. Suddenly, the game froze and I couldn't do anything. Couldn't exit the app, couldn't turn off the screen. After a couple minutes, the display goes dark and then I see the following message on my screen:
QUALCOMM CrashDump Mode
I tried every buttons combinations that I could, for longer than 5 seconds each, and one of them (I think the power + volume up) it looked like it restarted the phone. I saw the OP logo but the image was shattered. Then, the same crash dump message appear.
I connected the phone to the charger and left it for a couple of hours.
Now the screen is all black and no button combination works.
The OS version was 10.0.4.GM21BA.
Is there something I can do to fix it at home?
I tried searching for a solution first but I'm not that familiar with fastboot, MSM, TWRP and other terms that I encountered and have no idea of.
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.
Were you using any modifications? like magisk or custom rom.
It usually appears when some file has been corrupted and the best way usually is through msm tool
I did not use any modifications. The phone had the OS it came with.. This happened suddenly and I have no explanation for it.
I tried using MSM Download Tool but no luck.
If I commect my phone to my Windows 10 PC and keep holding all 3 buttons on the phone, then the phone appears in the Device Manager as:
Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
So, I ran the MSM tool which detected my phone, waited for it to complete but nothing happened. The phone is still dead...
I tried both international and european versions of MSM.
I have the same a few month ago. Randomly have qualcomm crush dump. Op support give me advice to flash rom.
I flash rom with msm tools and problem never come back.
