It seems that i can't find the right drivers for my OPO
i went through so many methods , Samsung ADB method , OPO toolkit 3 times and 15 seconds ADB tool but all of them failed to register my phone when it is in fastboot , i really really have no clue what am i doing wrong , my version is cm11s 44
i am really going insane , most of the youtube walkthrough's links are expired

I haven't had any difficulty with the OPO, but have with other phones in the past. I have ADB and google drivers installed, probably worth installing them using the below link if you havent already. I normally find I have to go into device manager on the PC and remove the existing driver(s) first, remove anything ADB/android/mobile phone driver related and then install the ones from the below program. Also check the 'stay awake' option in developer settings in case there are any on screen prompts or messages on your phone. The one I always missed was when I connected to the PC and it seemed to find my phone, but there was an debugging authorisation confirmation message (something like that! think it has your PC's mac address in it) that popped up on the phone which you needed to say yes to to complete the ADB driver install.

I have used the below tool kit
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/oneplus-one-toolkit-manudroid19-gui-t2807418
Maybe Universal ADB Driver?
http://adbdriver.com/
I tried both methods and nothing happened , it seems to stuck at the fastboot mode and doesn't reboot like it should when i type in '' fastboot oem unlock '' it showed the serial when i type in '' fastboot devices ''
use this guide!

Issue this command:
Code:
fastboot oem device-info
What does it say?
Transmitted via Bacon
I'd strongly recommend nobody uses a toolkit. They allow the user to do things to their phone without having an actual knowledge of what's happening. They bypass some very crucial learning experience with fastboot, and it's this experience that'll get you out of trouble with something goes wrong later. Anyway, this is the world's easiest phone to unlock and root, it only takes a matter of minutes.

Isn't it supposed to say that. It was a fast process for me. Try to flash a custom recovery and you will know.

I just got this phone today. Its a good little phone for the price but Id like to try some other stock 4.4 kernels if possible.
I have rooted the phone and I can get into fastboot mode but fastboot.exe just hangs at waiting for device.
I think this is a driver issue as in device manager in windows I have "Android" listed with no driver. I have downloaded fastboot and adb drivers but this has not worked.
Is there another driver I need for this to work with a Vodafone Smart 4 Turbo?
Thanks.
Bump anyone?

I did it via vroot .
Question: how can i readd the clock & weather widget? I removed it from the homescreen and can't see it in the widget list. Only reset to factory?
Depends on your phone-revision.
If it's 890N, it's more or less not possible.

when you said you got into fastboot mode, did it just say fastboot mode or did it give you options? mine just says fastboot mode which is no good as it doesnt give options to start fastboot its because vodafone or coolpad have messed about with it that much its useless. ive just had a reply off coolpad americas as i sent email there didnt know uk address but they said there waiting for a reply from uk counterparts and then theyll sent me source code and other tools for phone.(we'll see if they do).
i thought bootloader was locked on these phones or is it because some have 4.4.4 firmware it cant be rooted as a lot with 4.4.2 firmware have confirmed root?
I dont have this phone anymore.
I never did manage to try other kernels etc
My friend has this phone, rooted via kingroot. Any custom roms (esp cyanogenmod) out for it? BTW, cant find any custom recovery, pls post links to them if you can find any thanks
2017 still main phone
Rooted it & took Gapps & everything off...still using it daily for surfing sessions.
Have the 7 version which is just as excellent...waiting for an easy root method, but I think they're being locked tight.
Would be nice to have an option in 'developer' section that pops up after 3 months & offers root...,....
Hi guys,
Before i start, just be informed that i have tried google all possible solutions and tried them but to no avail. I know its a long shot but perhaps someone may be able to help however small the chances are.
My phone is a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon variant and is rooted.
What happened was, i tried installing TWRP (kenzo version) on my phone and so following the "instructions" in the downloaded file.
I used Flashify to flash the boot.img and then redmi_note_3_Twrp.img then the phone prompted me to reboot.
Now my phone is stuck in bootloop. The only thing i can do is to boot into Fastboot. So i tried accessing fastboot via ADB hoping to be able to some how flash the original boot.img back.
The problem i have now is that i am unable to access the phone at all even though i can go into fastboot. It wont be detected by my PC. I tried Minimal ADB and Fastboot and PdaNet.
Is there any other way for me to detect my phone and run some form of command to get it started again? Any help at all is appreciated. The phone is fairly new and i'm regretting trying to get the latest ROM for it.
I'm hoping i'll have some luck in a helpful community such as this.
Thanks guys.
Omg!! someone with the same problem as me. The same happened to me. Flashed a CWM file now am stuck in a Bootloop and ADB wont find my device either

Well if that's the case i suggest googling how to get into EDM mode for ur phone and using your phone brand's flash tool to flash a new ROM onto your phone. This means you will not be able to save your phone's memory. Is your phone's bootloader unlocked?

yes it is unlocked,
i think? When i entered fastboot mode. One of my apps says bootloader enabled and when i typed 'fastboot devices' in the Minimal ADB and Fastboot its shows:
0123456789ABCDEF devices
whereas if I type 'adb devices' i just shows:
List of devices attached
The main problem is the driver, i cant get adb to find my device. I have tried the universal usb drivers like Kouch but no success. My device is listed in the Unspecified section in my computer
Hi,
I tried to unlock bootloader. Rooted phone using King Root successfully. Opened bootloader using inside terminal and installing proper aboot. Then without restart i also flashed proper TWRP usning Twrp manager and after clicking reboot bang... black screen and nothing happens. Phone wont act on power button , keys combinations etc. When i connect it using usb i see partition with 2 folders (version and images). I tried some methods like using LG Flash Tool 2014 but it stucks on 4% and wont go ahead no matter what i do (recconecting ,removing battery etc). I would be VERY thankful if someone can provide me step by step solution or just do it via Teamviewer. If someone would like to help using TV method please contact me via skype (siuted.max - ID) and i ll provide TV ID.
Regards
Mat.
I really need that help guys I am even willing to pay for someone who is able to fix it.

Hello one and all,
I've been watching this forum from the digital shadows for well over a week now, hoping to find some good news in regards to a root method for the Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky Pro (SM-S727VL). I've tried several of the "one-click" options (Kingroot, SRSroot, Kingoroot just to name a few) with no real success. I have even been watching for a possible root via CF-Autoroot to no avail.
Which led me to create this account for the sole purpose of creating this thread. Has anyone had any luck or made any progress in the realm of rooting for this phone? I will be honest and say I have never successfully rooted a phone as of the creation of this thread, which may tag me as a noob of sorts, but I can also say I have never bricked a phone either.
I have heard whispers of a possible ADB method, and having played around with ADB commands a bit I believe if there was a basic rundown of how to achieve it via adb commands I might have a decent shot at it.
At any rate, before I ramble off onto any other tangents, I'm going to end this post. The title alone asks my question eloquently enough.
Thanks for your time!
Adb is my next move. I travel a lot and I haven't had time to try it yet, it may be a few weeks b4 I have some free time. I have tried every known 1 click apk with no success. And also the windows version. Iv also tried going through cf-root phone list to find a device with the same hardware and buulds, no luck there either.
I'm willing to give adb a go, I just don't really know the steps to take. I've managed to pull off some basic adb actions, but no idea how to use it to gain root access.
There is a detailed guide on rooting using adb here on the form. Just type rooting any android device using adb
Ok I had a little free time today but no good internet connection. Man I miss my Verizon s5 with mobile hotspot. I spent most of the day getting adb to connect with my pc, what a b!+$h. So far this is what I got. You will possibly need to clear all android drivers from your computer. To do this u will need a free utility called driver store. How to use, click every box that says a cellphone or tablet manufactur including yours s727vl samsung. Hit force stop and delete. Close that out and you need to download ADB DRIVER and it should connect. Don't try root process yet. You need to download Ubuntu 11.4 . It's a Linux os. To get this working you will need a utilty to make it bootable from a usb drive. I don't remember the exact process but to boot from a usb drive restart your pc and while it's booting press f8 I believe and that will give you your boot options. There is a guide to root using adb on the forum .The author says there is good chancr of rooting with his method. I wish i had time and internet so i could report back weither all this work will payout with a rooted phone. I spent all day just trying to get adb to connect.
---------- Post added at 01:42 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:37 AM ----------
Also the adb commands isn't hard. Once are connected just type in the commands that's listed and hit enter after each command. I rooted my first phone smart phone using adb. It was as complicated as it is now.
I've got an external hard drive that connects via usb, and I have the iso for that version of Ubuntu already. Tried going the sneaky way and just using a virtual machine to get the job done, but no luck. I'll try installing it on that external drive here in a bit and see if I can make any progress.
What happens to motto fail? The guys who made that root using an exception err?

So what's the process lol
ADB does not work with the Samsung J7 Sky Pro. Unfortunately, this was one of the first Samsung phones to not have the OEM unlock button in the Developer Options. Therefore unlocking the bootloader and flashing the phone isn't possible. I work on computer and electronics for a living and still can not find a successful Flash/Rot option for the phone.
So after I installed the Official Android 10 GSI just out of curiousity, it worked and the only reason I didn't stay with it was because it didnt have the new gestures and no lockscreen options. Everything else worked amazingly.
At this point I just wanted to install LineageOS and root but the phone kept rebooting to TWRP over and over no matter what I'd flash and no matter how many times I wiped it kept rebooting until it eventually got no response at all.
I tried everything restoring back up nothing, when I tried just flashing the zip file the recovery screen just kept flashing then rebooted back. I cannot save this for life of me I am left with a paperweight.
Ive tried the classic Moto G force restart trick but no luck in anything. No matter what I tried now it wont respond to any button presses. Am I just screwed? I'm waiting 24 hours before trying again while plugged in. What am i to do?
Metro By T-Mobile Variant if that helps at all
