anybody here encounter about this problem of lg g pro. cant get download mode, only stuck in *Recovery Locked* then a number of trials left. i don't know what is the reason goes. the phone doesnt detect the pc. is there other way to remove recovery locked or get into download mode and flash the phone?
I had a similar problem recently and was convinced I had bricked my phone. I didn't have the 'recover locked' message though. Sounds like you may have password protected the recovery by accident maybe?
My problem was that my phone would only boot into recovery and nothing else and refused to go into download mode so I couldn't flash it. I'm not sure if this applies to you but here is what I did:
1. Install DP Tools:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/tool-dp-tools-manage-lg-device-t3084644
2. Install the lasted USB drivers on your pc from LG
3. Connect the phone to the PC, run DP tools, and try 'Reboot Download mode' - hopefully that will work and you can flash away
4. It didn't work for me so I had to click 'ADB Shell' and enter code I found on a forum. The code was to fix a damaged install, so I don't think it applies to you.
Hope this is of some help. Otherwise I would suggest posting the same question on a more active forum (maybe general android forum) as there are very few people on here.
Good luck
how to fix it?
update on this? * Recovery Locked * Trials left: 3 on screen, LG D838. No Download/Recovery Mode. Not Detected on pc. Please help.

Hi guys .
i flashed "by mistake " the wrong cwm recovery by ( Rsher ) . after the device is restarted the screen just stopped on welcome screen .
now i have no access to recovery mode .
so i tried the other choice which was the download mode .
and here is my problem my pc doesnt recognize my android phone , when i connect the phone the pc displays these words
"usb is not recognized . the last device you connected to computer malfunctioned and windows does not recognized it "
also odin does not recognize it .
now i have no access neither to recovery mod nor to download mode and the device still freezing on welcome screen . so my device practically is DEAD!!
PLEASE IF YOU WANT TO HELP ME :
**KEEP IN MIND THE DEVICE " BEFORE THIS " WAS RECOGNIZED WHEN IT IS TURNED ON
** KEEP IN MIND OTHER PHONES LIKE GALAXY DOUS OR GALAXY BEAM IS WORKING ON THE SAME PC AND RECOGNIZED ON ODIN
** my phone is galaxy s II Plus working on android 4.2.2
**my pc is HP working on windows 10
**i have the latest Samsung kies and the latest drivers
** what i have tried
*update the driver on my pc
*uninstall and reinstall the driver
*using different usb cables
*uninstall the drivers and restarting pc
*updating other generic usb hub
*changing values in the registry
*I have tried all versions of odin
*pull the battery and entering download mode several times
PLEAAAAAAASE HELP :crying::crying::crying:
Try installing the google USB drivers. They are normally installed with the android SDK. Maybe they can help you detect the phone or you can try to manually update the driver.

as i mentioned above sir , the phone is recognized when it is ON but the problem occurs when i go to download mode . i think it is not concerned with the drivers
Have a look at this soft-brick help guide. If your phone is not even able to enter the Recovery Mode, you may have a case of NAND rw corruption and recovery may not even be possible (you may have to look at hard unbrick scenarios).
Having said that, these are a few things I might have still tried if I were you:
1. If you have access to a Linux PC or a bootable Ubuntu drive, start it and see whether it recognizes your phone using the lsusb command. It will help you to rule out any driver issues.
2. Try to drain the battery (by keeping a long time in that welcome screen) and then do a fresh recharge and then try again.

Well. , I have to say this is new solution . thank you brother I'll try and give you feedback ??
Hi,
I tried to unlock bootloader. Rooted phone using King Root successfully. Opened bootloader using inside terminal and installing proper aboot. Then without restart i also flashed proper TWRP usning Twrp manager and after clicking reboot bang... black screen and nothing happens. Phone wont act on power button , keys combinations etc. When i connect it using usb i see partition with 2 folders (version and images). I tried some methods like using LG Flash Tool 2014 but it stucks on 4% and wont go ahead no matter what i do (recconecting ,removing battery etc). I would be VERY thankful if someone can provide me step by step solution or just do it via Teamviewer. If someone would like to help using TV method please contact me via skype (siuted.max - ID) and i ll provide TV ID.
Regards
Mat.
I really need that help guys I am even willing to pay for someone who is able to fix it.

Hi again,
I tried your version but I get the following error:
BROM ERROR : S_BROM_CMD_STARTCMD_FAIL (2005)
Tried the general fixes of this error but no help. Also, I used the latest SP Flash Tool from the official website and another ROM and it worked (only without battery).
I'll try on a different computer with your downloads to see if I get the same result.

This means that the device will try to turn it on, not start flash mode.
First, charge the battery.
Do not use the latest flashtoolt, use what i've shown, the older version!!
Reinstall the drivers, use another cable.
The firmware is working, I've used it many times! :good:
Feedback please...

Unfortunately I do not know how to work this way with adb / fastboot.
I did not have to use it yet.
If you do not start the system to do a hard reset, it will surely be good afterwards.
After the hard reset, the first start is 15-20 minutes, just wait patiently.
I will also make a video about the installation, I hope it will help.

I found another ROM - [MT6580_S00_EMMC_MRA58K__6.0_VFD 300_Vodafone_356774071726533_08_19_2016_09_02_53

Hi guys,
I have this phone (european dual sim version) and tried to update it via Newflasher. Now the phone doesnt start anymore, it is stuck in bootloop, just says sony and then it says that my phone is corrupt and it will not boot. I dont have enough battery to repair it via Companion. Is there any way to avoid going to the Sony Service?
I should mention that I tried to flash firmware 58.0.A.22.21 Europe Customized EEA. What should I flash to get it to start? Any idea is welcome.
Thank you.

For your information, I have been dealing with a bootloop the last few days. I have now just tried a new USB cable with a new USB port (not the official Sony cable) and have fixed my issues. Perhaps you could give that a try as well.

I used the "fastboot devices" command and it worked, it showed me serial number of the phone. So it seems to be connected. But it doesnt want to change the boot partition. .... As for the cable, I first used a very old usb to usb c cable. Then I used one from my iqos charger. Because my laptop doesnt have a usb C port. So you really think the cable could f..k up things while flashing?? Should I try and find another one in the house maybe and try again?

Your ADB might be out of date and not have the A/B partition fastboot commands. Try updating through instructions here:
https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
I never thought a USB cable would be the issue either, but I tried a new USB port and quality cable and suddenly everything works fine.
Also confirm you're using newflasher to flash the correct firmware for your model. When I flashed the XQ-AS72 firmware on my XQ-AS52 I experienced bootloops like what you're experiencing.
If you still have issues, you can boot to recovery with these instructions and select "power off". You should be able to charge your phone to 80% to use the xperia companion app. https://www.mobilereset99.com/hard-reset-sony-xperia-1-ii/

Give your phone a charge and give the Xperia companion app a try.
If you use the included charger and cable, it will charge faster than it drains even if you leave it in bootloop. But you can also try powering down using recovery options.
Let me know if that works.

It should charge. You should be able to hold volume down on boot (green light top corner, black screen will happen) and try an xperia companion app restore by following the repair options (select "My device is not detected by computer". It should be charging as it restores from your computer as well.
