So now that the Oppo Find X is out, which phone do you think is the "bezel-less" king?
I actually prefer the Nex. The Find X looks better, but it only has the camera to unlock, and given the amount of times I unlock the phone a day, I don't trust the mechanism. You also need to popup for the rear cameras, and it seems to take a while to launch the viewfinder.
The popup for the Nex selfie camera is better unless you are constantly taking selfies during the day (who does that?). Also I prefer the under glass fingerprint scanner to facial recognition. And as a plus, it has an even bigger battery.
oppo find x would be slightly more expensive tho, but probably a better camera
but vivo get better audio, headphone jack!! and hifi

Just as you mentioned, for the looks & WOW factor,I think the OPPO Find X has the VIVO NEX beat hands down.
Otherwise, the only other area that is a definitive win for the Find X is more LTE Bands, but, there should be enough for most users on either phone.
http://phonedb.net/index.php?m=devi...l_sim_td-lte_cn_256gb__nex_ultimate__bbk_apex
http://phonedb.net/index.php?m=device&id=13498&c=oppo_find_x_dual_sim_td-lte_apac_pafm00__paft00
http://phonedb.net/index.php?m=device&s=compare
The NEX has the Find X beat in price & while I think I'd like using the Find X,the novelty of the slider would fade quickly (I don't lock my phone or take selfies,so,the Find X slider would get little use anyway).
Another area that the NEX is a better choice for me is that I don't care for the curved screen edges of the Find X,the NEX doesn't appear to have the curves.
If I'd waited one more day, perhaps I'd be in a wait & see mode, but,I ordered the NEX the very day before the Find X was introduced & don't regret it.
Who knows,by the time the Find X actually goes up for sale (8/2018),there may be another pop-up/slider or,another take on the full-screen phone ready to hit the street.
Yeah curve screens still annoy me cuz I do watch videos a bit and the image always appear narrower than it is. Prone to accidental side touches and the glares.. Ugh.
But of these two, I do think the slide mechanism is more refined, seamless in the Oppo instead of a tiny dongle of Vivo. However I think it's a mistake to put one too many functions/sensors in there. Cameras are fine, but to not have fps and have an intrinsic function like secure unlocking dependant on the mechanism is too much imo. I do like the ultra cool paint job of its back vs the Nex glared pattern which I don't care for.
I'm confident though the Nex is the right device for me due to features it has which the Oppo doesn't ie. headphone jack, DAC, fps Scanner(wish it was all lower screen like the concept tho), bigger battery, thinner, more affordable. Perfect solution for me would just be the Nex but having the same back paint application of the Oppo and I'd be a happy dude! Lol!
Much prefer Vivo Nex over Oppo.
1.Bigger battery capacity.
2.Audio jack 3.5 and DAC support
3.Prefer 3d scanner under screen as completely new technology than 3d iris recognition(i do have over 2.5 years both surface pro 4 and now surface book that have iris scanner recognition but think its much preferd to laptop/ultrabook over smartphone)
4.Im really fall in love with rainbow effect glass back on Vivo Nex
The Vivo for me.
I very much dislike curved screens after using the S7 Edge for few years. When I see a 'flat screen' phone like the Pixel 2, I get a bit jelly. I miss those...
I don't find the Oppo looks any more attractive than Vivo's to be honest. So I don't have anything going for it. But all the positives listed above are just cherry on top after looking at the prices that they will likely be entering the market at. I don't want to spend a grand on a phone, I'm not there in life yet unfortunately. And even if it wasn't that expensive, I don't think I'd even care all that much for the Find X. Mainly cos of that damn curve!
Yep just ordered mine. I was going wait for the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer but I can always get that later. I think this is definitely a much more user friendly phone as it is leveraging a new design element to make the screen better but not making it an absolute if it failed. The Oppo would be useless if the mechanism failed where as with the Nex I just can’t take selfies. Plus larger battery and underscreen fimgerprint scanner put it over the top. IMO

Looks like I overpaid by about 20% vs your cost, that's what I get for being impatient.
I would cancel, but, the seller (LIAOW) did state he'll ship out same or next day of initial availability (6/23-6/24) & it's a bit close to that point.
If there are delays (5 days or more) before I see a tracking number,I'll cancel & go w/TradingShenzen.

I think this is allready known by people that look further then a Samsung phone and tech insiders. Some marketing by Honor wouldn`t hurt though to further the brand`s name and let the general public get to know Honor.
The most attractive thing is the look of the phone.
Many people use iphone to show off others.
If we get most attractive look to show off, who will miss it? Especially the Saffire blue color is of top notch.

I think its one of the best when It comes to Price to Quality Ratio, my brother is enjoying his Honor 8 alot and its a good package overall given its Price
This model is very good indeed. The only thing preventing it from getting a bigger acceptance is price: it´s too close to OP3 and Axon7 with better SOC´s (single thread and GPU), 4K screen and recording, OIS, sound, etc.
If Huawei manages to bring H8 down to 350€/£310 or lower, to what H7 was at time of launch, then it will make an absolute no-brainer. Until then there will be articles like "Honor 8, flagship killer?" because being in the same price range of mentioned flagship killers.
Honor 8 should be positioned as an upper middle class device as the specs indicate.

Every market is price sensitive for various reasons. But I guess Huawei will ride the novelty factor and make as much money as they can with H8.
When the novelty goes, in a couple of months we shall see either discount coupons or bundle promotions, at Vmall. Probably December like they did last year for H7.

Absolutely right, Axon7 an 1+3 do offer more for the same price, plus they also have custom ROMs unlike honor 8

Depends on your preference. Personally I wouldn't sacrifice software stability, better quality of construction, better customer support, better camera, expandable storage and better network support of Huawei in favour of a faster Mi5.

I don't prefer MI because of its build quality and personal experience of the problems faced within 1 month of purchase of RedMI Note 3.
However still people are going crazy on MI devices.
We have both(me n my brother in law) . 1 week of use and Huawei had scratches all over the phone. And I see I'm not the only one. What quality are we talking about? there is 0 screen protection. Both carried in same conditions.
Aside from by miles better screen, charging(and charger options) sound, marginal in battery, community support(that doesn't exist in huaweii)
He'll i even add software cuz MIUI 8 is by my preference miles ahead of Emui.
There is nothing like the Honor-experience to me.
I ordered the Honor 8 Blue on Monday on vmall, it got delivered 10 am on tuesday... insane!
Its unicolor, bezel has same color as the back and front.
Also, if you turn down animation speeds to 0,5 in developer settings, this phone seems lightning fast.
Benchmark scores dont matter to me, the Kirin 950 runs every app that i used to use on iphone 6s and Samsung S7 equally well.
One of the few things i want for the Honor 9 next year, would be Dual Sim slot with the capability of using a micro-SD card at the same time, like Motorola G4 can. And at least 64GB internal memory. I know there will be a 64GB model Honor 8 in the EU soon, but why not sell it at release? ...

Back or front? The back seems to scratch pretty easily, but the front seems ok. Phone dropped from sitting right on front and nothing seems scratched at all. (Actually it fall on rocks! I was impressed)
Actually, the back is easy to scratch unlike the front.

The reason I'm asking is that I'm looking to replace my Pixel 2, but it is not urgent. Right now, Google is offering $200 off a Pixel 3, which sounds like a good deal. However, they slyly have the sale ending on May 6, and on May 7 they will be announcing something new, which is of course rumored to be the Pixel 3a. So what to do?
I like all the features that the Pixel 3 has -- similar to my Pixel 2 actually -- but realistically I don't need or use a lot of them. For instance, nothing that I do requires the fastest processor out there; I don't really care what the case is made of since I put a bumper case on it right away; I use the camera mainly when traveling, but take fewer pictures than I used to; and I've taken about a half dozen selfies in my life!
So should I get a discounted 3 knowing that the 3a (IF that's what it is) might have something even better (like a bigger battery), or just forget it all and wait for the Pixel 4? What would you do?
So, I got a free upgrade to the pixel 3 from the pixel 2 in January and honestly, if its not urgent I wouldn't recommend doing it.
Yes the pixel 3 camera is better, but the 2's camera still takes pictures comparable to any flagship, and I can't personally see a difference in the pictures I take day to day.
In terms of UI, I'd actually say the pixel 2 provided a smoother experience, though I've never seen the devices side by side so can't say so for sure. (other people have also suggested this is true)
Major thing for me is that I've experienced worse battery performance, especially when on standby mode, which I think is due to pie, as when upgrading from oreo to pie on my pixel 2 I saw similar results.
And its likely that the pixel 3 will see a price drop once the next gen pixel line is out anyway, so if price is a concern, I don't see why you shouldn't just wait it out either way

Forget it. Wait until the Pixel 4. The P3 has a lot of problems with the display and for $650 with tax it's simply not worth it.
Thanks all for the intelligent, reasonable advice (hard to come by online these days!). I've decided to wait until the P4 is out since I can always fall back to whatever the May 7 product is, or a reduced P3. Price is not really a factor from an absolute standpoint, but I don't want to pay more for something that what it's worth to me. In any case, Fall is a much better time for me to get a new device since I'll be curtailing my summer activities by then and will be looking for something to occupy my time for a while.
No. I mostly love the phone but the lack of proper 60fps on the camera needing me to use 3rd party apps to get usable video kills it for me.
What I would do is buy a pixel 3 @ eBay with large discount and keep it for 4 years ?
I found these sealed, brand new in box Pixel 2 on eBay for incredibly cheap - just £275, claims to have extended 2 years warranty too (item number 293056131709). Want to buy Pixel 2 for my sister's birthday, but listing smells fishy - claims to post from Essex UK, but posting takes 14 days, so clearly the phones are not UK models and come from somewhere else. Previously I had 3 different Sony Z3c and last one wasn't UK model - very, very different quality product...
For my opinion just wait for pixel 4 im using pixel 3 now but so far i like smsung it just everything it better samsung s10 i had so many issue from pixel 3 camera bokeh not copletly good some reason doesn't perfect for 1 camera and software and some photos by google canot be open it was dispointing when you gonna uplod picture to intagram and the picture canot be open how do feel?
Speker does good but when you play music in half volume you will feel vibrant in back and your hand
Pixel 3 its small some time typo for me
Some issue in the screen greeny but mine still look ok but when you open color dark grey yiu will see thats green color show up
If i have change im gonna sell or switch this phone to samsung s10
I replaced a Nexus 6 with a Pixel 3. The wife has an original Pixel, and sees no reason up update to the 3. If I HAD to buy a phone today, I would still get the P3, but I sure would not upgrade from a P2 at this time. I don't think the 3a is going to have anything to offer you - I might look at getting my son one because the Moto X4 is getting long in the tooth, but would only consider it if in the $300 range.
IMO the 50% off deal from Fi last week (making the phone $399) was worth it, but I wouldn't do it for $200 off. The phone is under powered/slow. The 3a is going make a slow phone even slower, so definitely would avoid that like the plague.

Neither am I so far but lots of users are. It's not very good for Googles rep/the consumer to have as many issues as these phones have been having at such a high price point. They wanna be premium they need to offer it by doing better than what I previously mentioned.
For a good deal yes! I bought the p3 when it was half off. Phone has been very snappy despite having 3x less ram than my previous OnePlus 6t McLaren. But for full retail not worth it for me
Just traded my OP6 8/128 for a Pixel 3. Half the RAM Is the only thing that sometimes bother me on certain situations. But overall is really snappy, and the touch latency Is the best I've ever had on an android device... Camera is spectacular. But, if you have the Pixel 2 i wouldn't bother and wait for the P4.
Compare to S10/S10 Plus, I would say its good deal. So... Why not?

only problem is the front cam.. in regular p3 it is simply wonderful, in 3a it is a clear downgrade.. but if you don't use it that much no problem..
The photo taking capability of the Pixels is one of the biggest features. 3a has a slower cpu and (unconfirmed?) lack of Pixel Visual Core.
Did anyone compared a reallife photo processing speed between 3 and 3a? How long the 3a takes to save a photo, in the night mode especially?
Is it just a matter of process speed or will the 3 and 3xl produce superior photos compared to the 3a series?
When I was playing with a 3a XL at Best Buy, it seemed to take 3-4 seconds to process a picture - including night mode. If I took a picture and immediately opened it in the gallery, I would see the progress circle moving to completion. I don't have access to a 3 or 3xl to compare it to, but I suspect it is near immediate processing with the pixel visual core. I should also note that the camera is available to take more pictures immediately - you don't need to wait for the image to be processed before taking another picture.
So while there is a small delay processing pictures with the 3a or 3a XL, it is neither annoyingly long, nor does it prevent normal usage of the phone/camera. Honestly it will hardly be noticeable in normal operation IMHO.

It's my understanding that it is simply a difference in processing speed. The pictures with the rear camera are identical to the 3 series.
Of course the front facing selfie camera is different from the original 3 series, so the images from the 3a front camera are slightly different (or at least harder to compare) from the original, but the photo quality is nearly identical with the front camera too.

Let's not forget the fact that because the back isn't glass, you don't need a super bulky case to protect it.
When people say it feels cheap I respect their opinion but I personally think that it doesn't feel cheap at all, not even close. It actually feels really nice. Out of all the items that are made of plastic that I've used before, this is really good plastic. It's not low-quality plastic, this kind of plastic is beautifully smooth and you can tell it's very good quality.
I mean let's be fair here, not all plastics are created equal.
Some people put the 3a down because it doesn't have the best glass body/metal, a slower Snapdragon, no water resistance, etc.
However, If you want all those features on a brand NEW phone for $400 dollars then you live in a dreamland and need a reality check.
If you want all those features then go ahead and shell out the cash for a Pixel 3, or whatever else is in the market. It's not the 3a's fault.
The 3a is not the best phone out there, it's not trying to be. The amazing camera, screen, performance, quality, and the vanilla Google experience is great value for its price.
This phone is a very good phone for what it is. I'm personally very happy with my purchase, and I haven't been this excited about a phone in a long time.

It wasnt so much that though, the phone looked really nice and felt light and felt nostalgic holding a phone without glass and metal. But i was buying it to replace my s9+ so I was comparing it on that in which case obviously the s9+ will win. But it seemed to me they made too many cut backs. Audio quality sounded average. I checked in call speaker and too much sound leaked out. I also had some glitches whenever i clicked battery settings the settings app would force close. Also the snapdragin 660. I get it mid range and all that. But the fact is the 660 came out mid 2018 since then weve had the 670 and the newer 2019 710. So my 2 cents were if google want to make a mid range phone in 2019, then use mid range 2019 hardware and not give people a year out of date phone already. Its £400 in the UK and $400 dollars in the US. Makes no sense. If that phone was £250-300 I would have nothing to moan about. However for 400 you can get many top ranged phones 2nd hand.

You do know this phone comes with a snapdragon 670, correct?
Also, people keep complaining that they want a cheaper Google phone. Them one comes out they complain that it costs too much. This would have been the case if it cost $250. It would have been, "yeah it's nice but for $250??? I would have loved to see it cost $75 with all the corners they cut."
I'm enjoying this device immensely so far. Checks a ton of boxes for me. I use it to check email, make calls and limited social media. I am not a heavy gamer. Apps load quickly, battery lasts me through almost 2 days, screen looks beautiful, I thought sound was ok out of the box but it is worlds better after installing viper.
Good luck with your s9. I'm going to sit here and enjoy my 3a.

My bad 670. Oh well still a newer 710. Enjoy your phone. I may change my mind. Have to see how the development scene turns out. But with no lineage for pixel 3 or 2 series im not that optimistic.
I can say this about the processing speed, it processes night sight faster than the pixel 2xl and takes better pictures

99% of smartphones are released with outdated chipsets. There's ALWAYS a newer one. It takes time to develop and sell a phone based on the most up-to-date chipsets, which means by release time, the next one is coming out.

Yeah thats true. Im thinking about getting it again tbh. Just gonna wait a couple months and see how development is going. The new issue about the misaligned ports. Dont think i bothered to look when I had it. See someone in here saying he was having to send back his 2nd replacement.
I prefer glass and metal but come on... 3a isn't cheap at all. It's a very beautiful phone.

Not sure if there's any definitive info out yet except for the Hassleblad partnership but anyone showing any interest for this phone. I've become a huge fan since the release of the OnePlus 8 Pro (my favorite phone of all time, lol) so I have high hopes for the next iteration. I'm hoping for better cameras and maybe an sd card slot?
Looking good!

The cam and its software may be good or a bomb.
However...
No SD card and limited internal storage means I never would touch it. At this point a SD card is mandatory for me.
While 128gb be more than enough storage for me for the OS/apps* it's not even half of my data requirement.
Meh, get up to speed or get out of my way... a pretty cam with no storage isn't a good trade off.
*currently using about 30 of 512gb internal.
341 gb on the SD card data drive.

Yep, I know what you mean. It's not mandatory for me but it makes things so convenient. Especially with google photos eliminating unlimited storage. I have a 1 terabyte card with almost half the thing full of my lossless music, videos, and photos.

The dream of a dual drive 1.5 tb computer in your hand has come true. Simply outstanding.
My XPx64 tower uses more power to boot up than takes my 10+ to run for the whole day.
Without a data drive life is much harder, at least if you make full use of the data drive.
Being able to do a full reload with no laptop, anywhere, anytime makes the phone completely self sufficient barring a hardware failure.
I'm interested in this phone.. always liked the oneplus but never got round to buying it as user reviews were mixed for the phone and customer service. I'm saying this as I am looking to upgrade from my much beloved Google Pixel 2. However it seems there are lots of announcement and releases this month...Asus Rog phone 5 today, Oppo Find X3 pro tomorrow Xiaomi Mi 11 next week and OnePlus 9 soon after, was also hoping for the Sony Xperia 1 III to be announced.... decisions decisions decisions!
I'm an 8t owner , and I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase they have been good with updates and yes there have been bugs but mostly all phones on R11 have some bugs , but the updates have fixed most , and let's see what they come with here one the 1+9 and the pro
After the slightly disappointing launch of the Oppo X3 keeping my fingers crossed for the OnePlus launch tomorrow... Or maybe hold out for the Sony Xperia 1 III

Yup let's see what they got for tomorrow
8Pro was a reference flagship, perfect in many microscopic details, so i did preorder cases for both newer models. Despite having another flagship on way, i expect to buy this one too. My hope is I can buy the base model for better WEIGHT, and hoping it won't be crippled in Samsung way (who made e.g. Note20 and any other non-Ultra totally avoidable). The great news is the base model has got wireless charging, and superfast charging and superfast-not-so-crippled compatible charging (45W PD). However last year they made model 8 redundant by having almost no improvements and trashy camera, so it's hard to say.
I'm expecting camera under display in model 10, so i'm buying cases as soon as possible I kind of hope they will run out of innovations and come back to geekness (bring back sd card, notif light) in model 10.
So what do people think....under the hood it is identical to the Oppo Find X3 pro...just cheaper and with free wireless charger and ear buds...this might be the one...
I currently have a OP8T and after watching the launch & the early reviews, I can safely say that I'm going to skip the OP9Pro... The generation jump is not noticeable and the new cameras didn't really live up to the hype. Xiaomi's Mi 11 Pro/Ultra looking more solid with no Hasselblad gimmick whatsoever.
watched the intro, and then review was added to gsmarena and phone was published in our top seller website in an coordinated way. battery rating is funny for 1+, but i believe phone will be holding charge for at least twice the time as Samsung despite. Just look at the huge 3G standby time - industry best. In my use case, that will mean it will make it to 3rd day easily and some more. For the video, they might fix it later, but i do not watch videos all day and do not run background script to prop display frequency either... not real use case. Camera great in wide and night, and not so great for the main sensor. Let's see more reviews. Base model defly with Qi and ultrafast 65T charging, however the weight is still 192g, which is disappointing. That actually makes the "compact" model obsolete if price insensitive. So there are some mild disappointments, and the best thing we can do is to buy it and moan later
I'm considering it. Currently I (still) have OP3 and I think it's time to upgrade. Looking at 256G version (absolutely no need for SD card here). I wouldn't mind, if it was somewhat smaller though...
Any idea how long we will have for root? as this is kinda essential (and I know OP was always kinda very good for modding community)
I just placed an order for the OP9 and it said free z buds but when I checked out, it didn't show on order confirmation.
Thought maybe you had to add them to the cart as well and the discount will be at check out but did that and it wasn't showing either. Talked to customer service and they said free gifts are not available and in stock?

I just checked their online store and you need to select the free gift in the cart before checkout. On that screen, it shows "out of stock". That is pretty lame!
Have 2 OP9 coming. I am upgrading from 6T and she from 7. I am perpetually disappointed by Google Pixel series and the 5 is the worst. I keep hoping they remember what made Nexus phones great. Oneplus continues to be the closest to what Nexus experience was.
We both did get the OP buds free. And we got 110-140 for our old phones. I got education discount. Not bad deal for me to get the OP9
I may be in minority but I never liked phone camera pics. They always look fake to me because of colors. I always was dissapointed by green of vegetation and how bright red people's skin are. Call Hasselblad color calibration boring but its a huge relief to me pics won't make everthing look plastic.
Do think its weird they added a monochrome sensor when any software can do that just as well. Why they didn't use a telefoto instead on the 9 is baffling. I would bet at least 80% of users will never use it after testing it.
I am disappointed they didn't go with the rear hardware fingerprint like the Nord. I have problems with 6T fingerprint reader. I really hope OP9 will be vastly imoroved.

Rooting with Magisk now is instant availability. You install the Magisk APK. Extract the boot image. Modify the boot image with Magisk. Use the modified image to flash via adb. Done. You don't need to wait TWRP etc.

I don't understand people who upgrade from one series to the next or why anyone would expect it to have enough tech advancements to make it worth it.
Instead considering how late the 8T release was, I would have waited for OP9.
But to each their own, but amazed you are even looking at phones considering my guess you have had the 8T less than 6 months.
But I agree Oneplus should have spent more time on the hardware, and software than with the gimmick collaboration with Hassleblad that didn't really happen.
- Would have been nice is Hassleblad actually had something to do with the hardware, cameras etc.
- Would have been nice if Hassleblad influence was consistent with all cameras including front but seems we will have color shifts among all the cameras. Kinda defeats the whole collab for Hassleblad natural color tech.

As a Pixel 6 user, I don't like it. The compromises aren't worth the $150 less. It doesn't even have the A-Series touches (headphone jack, rear-fingerprint, etc.) like the 5a did. Sure, it's a solid phone, but if you're buying a phone for more than a year, it's definitely worth the extra 33%. Then again people buy the iPhone SE and that's literally the iPhone 8 with the A15.

And is an especially bad device for Indian audience. 6A is the first pixel that we are getting after 4a. and yet with 60hz screen and subpar specs.
Me from previous years would have complained, because obviously we have much better phones for cheaper but I can't understand how, out of all these phone companies which keep popping up every day, only 3 seem to care about compact phones (Samsung, Apple, Google).
I wanted to gift my father a new phone, he's been using a Poco F1 and he hates every phone that is larger than that.
What are the options now? Spend more to get the S21/22 or the iPhone 12/13 or just get the Pixel 6a because there are no other options.
Personally, having changed from a Poco X2 to an S22, at this point, I feel like larger phones are overrated.
In conclusion, I'm not saying the 6a is good, definitely not at that price, but it's the only one that matches the requirement.

I went to Best Buy today to look at the phone. The size is perfect. I'm trading in my Pixel 6 which I hate for the 6a and they are giving me a $250 trade-in. So for 2 bills I get the phone I want not the behemoth that I have now. Your father will love it, it's slimmer and noticeably smaller in the hand. I'd get it from Google but they don't offer a trade in for the P6.

Not a cracked screen just a slight crack in the back at the bottom. Hardly noticeable but there nonetheless.
I think they should've put Gorilla glass Victus or 5 and a glass back panel cause they both are very common in all mid-range phones! I ordered this phone only for the Camera because I love Gcam...

From everything I have seen and from every Jerryrig video, iterations of Gorilla Glass are meh at best. Glass is glass and it will break and it will scratch at a level 6 with deeper grooves at a level 7. Shatter resistance improvements are marginal at best. Those fancy videos that Corning puts out are framed in the most ideal way possible. It's like taking a tall glass and slamming it on the table. It won't break because the bottom of the glass is reinforced. Take that same glass and slam it down on the lip where it is thinnest and it will shatter.
I just always get a glass screen protector and a case. Better safe than sorry and better have a phone than be without for days to weeks because of repairs.
I thought I would love the front thumb print scanner... but it is kind of annoying to have to press the power button first and then scan. On the bright side, there are fewer accidental triggers. But I dont know if that is worth it. Also, I miss the 3.5 headphone jack. :-(
Other than those things, it seems pretty similar to the 5a to me. Roughly the same battery drain. I am sure I will see some performance gain eventually. Just not noticing it yet.

I hear what you're saying. I had the Pixel 4XL and face unlock was amazing. I literally only had to pick up the phone and it would detect my face almost immediately.
You mentioned that it's annoying to have to press the power button first and then scan finger. You could set the phone to detect when you pick up or tap/touch the phone. That way, screen turns on and you can scan your finger without having to press the power button.
Update... this phone is in need of serious updates. I have lots of apps going non responsive and even the google assistant struggles. 5G is really bad and the GPS is occasionally confused. All around, I almost want to go back to my 5a.
The 6a feels cheap. I like the size of it, I don't care about 60 vs 90+ refresh rate, I wish finger print sensor was still on the back. The 6 and 6 pro feel great in the hand.
If I was going to buy a Pixel #A device, I'd get the 5A or 4A 5G. I wouldn't shell out for a 6a that's new. If I was to get a 6A, I'd wait a year and buy it dumb cheap used
Traded in my behemoth P6 (not even the pro) and will not look back. This feels great in the hand even with a minimal case which I use when I'm off the carpet of my home. The only thing that compares to this is the P5 which I never should have sold as quickly as I did. But I'm enjoying the P6a experience as of now.

Honestly it depends on what youre coming from. This is worlds more premium feeling vs the 3a and 4a. Never held the 4a 5g or 5a so I cant speak to those. I was also intending on just picking up a used 5a as I rarely ever buy the newest phone but the $300 trade in of my 3a + free buds was too good to pass up. The 3a XL was $479 new in 2019 and its no where near this nice or powerful.
Just my $.02 anyway
