Hi folks,i was installed latest htc gallery app from apkmirror. App linked to camera but when i want to see latest captured photos it says gallery app force closed. Pls Report to htc bla bla bla.
Jow can i solve this problem?

Settled on QuickPic, and it is perfect. Easy to use and doesn't argue with you.
I'm using the HTC Gallery app, v. 9.51.755029, with no problem. Rooted HTC U11 with the Bad Boyz Unlocked U11 ROM.
İm on stock, no root no unlock ? no luck.. Will continue to try different things

Not really: last photo taken shows in lower right corner of Camera, when touched it shows the pic, not Photos.
Probly because after installing QP, I disabled Photos & Gallery.
I am using Sony Albums and work perfect and you can even snyc facebook photos in gallery

The Apkmirror content will be installed as "unknown" source because it didn't come from playstore. This will cause issues for apps that are installed in the internal memory as those have system access, the apk you installed does not. Conflicting security rights. You won't get it working without s-off.
To stop your gallery picking stuff up you can create a blank file called ".nomedia"in the directory/folder you DON'T want scanned and it should skip it. You will need to restart the phone for it to take effect.

Maybe because this is part 1 ( testing ) it will be fixed maybe other than slow motion everything working right ( i do not use slow motion )

Try clearing data/cache of the editor app, update your gallery app too in case it needs that
Where is located the apk? I can't install it over the one that I have. I just want to replace it but can't find the apk in system folder.

Package conflict error is solved by enabling secure startup and rebooting the phone, then installing the updated system apk
If secure startup is already enabled, disable it and reboot
Just the toggle and reboot process allows the exploit

I think it failed because of you maybe Need some libraries.
It seems only to work on rooted phones, when you install it as ZIP.
Maybe someone should change the title or the first post of this thread.

Call recording not supported by Google.
To make the APK install-able on any device, I have to sign it with my key (not original google key). This means these features cannot work on a modified APK.

Yes,snapdragon camera is laggy.

Hello, does anyone have the v2 of this mod? The version that allows you to revert the changes back if you reinstall the package. The original developer posted a link for it on that russian forum but the link is unreachable at the moment. Thanks in advance.

Nice work again!you can try https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=890129502657584031 has different package name(you can keep both apps)
If anyone is interested, this mod worked for me on LineageOS 14.1. Had to restart a couple of times and for some reason disable and re-enable persist.camera.HAL3 in BuildProp but it works flawlessly now.

I mean, when it was processing the potrait photos. I use arnova 1.7, and it makes my phone laggy. Too much force close and sometimes need restart

Install again the twrp-camera2api.flip.fix.mi4c.v2.zip
So I was searching along the internet and I found another gcam that works with our device , it's on version 5.1 not like the old one that's on 3.2 and so far it doesn't have any bugs!

Okay Lens Blur lags a little but only when on poor lighting!

I have tried both versions but flash is not working both of them and in latest one flash is working but can't see in photo...Hope someone fix this issue....

I don't know man it's weird , for me the flash has never been an issue..
