I flashed HTC 10 Camera by jishnu sir and it working well so anybodys not satisfying with cm based roms cams or OOS port try HTC 10 port its focusing as well no errors and can get clear photos

Its called camera and it doesnt replace and it comes with htc gallery also it doesnt replace gallery

I have only the google camera app called "Camera" with the old icon after flashing and no htc gallery. can you post a screen shot of the additional camera and gallery icons ? I am running Resurrection remix on my op3

Don't think so because it is a Touchwiz application so i requires Samsung rom
FC.....and messed up automatic brightness. I cleared cache of Camera and force closed it..and nothing. It doesn`t work...now i don`t have the old camera app.

Hmm...let me think...it was deodexed but i odexed it with Lucky Patcher....hmm...what should i do?

It works now, after i deleted SamgungCamera.apk and SamsungCamera.odex files from system. He should implement the delete command in the update zip.

After spending like a month trying any camera app (paid and free) yesterday night I discovered that the new KitKat Camera 4.4.1 (which has been improved to support better pics on Nexus 5) seems to deliver great shots in all conditions; especially in night scenes, on day light is on par with manual (everything auto).
So from today I'm starting to use this as a daily camera.
Since I'm tired of claims without proof, here some comparisons (left kitkat, right stock):

I suggest to disable kitkat gallery because editing (with filters) doesn't work, and so instead will use the beautiful Stock Album.

I'm unable to do that since it needs libs and frameworks. You could try to unzip and test just the camera apk.
will make some comparesment tommorow via stock camera, this kitkat one and best camera app shown somewhere here. For now this last app has far greater results than built in stock one. Which is sad. And good at the same time.

I have tried and found that that application layout is broken. The control buttons of the Kakit Camera are on half display and overwritten by the navigation menu. I am running the stock ROM with Dual Recovery. I am still testing it, but the image quality looks similar to stock camera for me.

For the layout, you're right, tested now, I didn't noticed it before because my keys are hidden (since I'm using pie).
Btw in daylight they are pretty close (which is good), you should try it where the auto-mode fails for example in low lights.

I think you can decompress and install the apk inside system (just the camera one).
BTW, I think is better to flash it since some libs maybe necessary to be updated.

Yeah, I tested it on marshmallow (cm13). Everything is working fine, even camera. In some other 7.1 apps mods, camera causes problems but here working fine. :good:

otherwise, setting >Smart storage is working.
I do not have Wifi so can not test cloud sync.
Did not find also how to tell, "please saved those pictures in this folder"
I do not want to save all my pictures, like for example my folder Wallpaper....

Animoji requires the extra sensors on the front of the s9 to work, we haven't got that hardware so it won't work, camera probably could be ported but you won't gain much from it, may be a few extra modes.

AR Emoji actually only uses the front camera to track facial movements and I'm pretty sure the s8 has a front camera

My bad I had look into it earlier, I thought it uses a depth sensor.
This is the prove the signed apk method worked on my device. I cant test Camera apk due to my device still using Nougat. The signed apk for Message 5.0.00.128, Emoji Maker & Camera 8.0.75 only available through PM due to respect thread owner ?

Yes,snapdragon camera is laggy.
Working apps Hedgecam2, gcam (MGC_5.1.018.177470874.41362666_MI6_1.0-beta,MGC_5.1.018_7.0+C2API_v.1.0_AllinOne,MGC_3.2.045_MiMAX2)
Face Unlock does not work. The same in Instagram, can not start the front camera. Miui10 by xiaomi.eu.

I checked some newer ones but without success.

If the front camera did not work in any application, add an entry with the name of this application in build.prop.

Hello, does anyone have the v2 of this mod? The version that allows you to revert the changes back if you reinstall the package. The original developer posted a link for it on that russian forum but the link is unreachable at the moment. Thanks in advance.

If anyone is interested, this mod worked for me on LineageOS 14.1. Had to restart a couple of times and for some reason disable and re-enable persist.camera.HAL3 in BuildProp but it works flawlessly now.

PS: Just checked the memory usage, it's normal (the same old 1.3GB average).

I mean, when it was processing the potrait photos. I use arnova 1.7, and it makes my phone laggy. Too much force close and sometimes need restart
