HATE Google......my deceased husband's phone - General Questions and Answers

I have contacted Google and they refuse to help me with my deceased husband's LG G4. I do not care about his gmail account other than getting into the phone so I can use it. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, but I need to use this phone. I did factory reset and it will NOT let me get passed the damn page with the email and password. PLEASE help me.......

Scammed into buying an IMEI blocked phone. Anything I can do?

Long story short. I was tricked into buying a Galaxy S2 that was IMEI blocked soon after I bought it. The only information I have is the seller's phone number, a name, and an alleged address (tried going there twice, no one answered doorbell: figures). TMO told me that they can't do much which was expected. I'm not hoping too much for any recourse, but I'm just wondering what can I do with this phone? Everything works and is in mint condition except for the blocked part. Any way to recover from this mess?
I was hoping TMO could help me trace it back but I don't think they'll do that for me.
Sent u a pm please respond
Very similar situation with Verizon.. called them many times but they said I'd need the account info before they can help me. I've tried to contact the guy on fb where I bought it and seen his post from a sell/buy page yet his account. Is no longer available or doesn't show when I search his name. I asked if I could have a number they have on file or can they contact him and they said that they couldn't.. I bought the s7 edge from him and now only use it have of it is an Internet Explorer... it's a very nice phone set me back 240.00 between a rock and a hard place please help

Sold My Galaxy 7, Buyer Having Issues

Bought a new S9+, so it was time to sell the S7. Did a factory reset and sold it. Now, the buyer is telling me that he is unable to set up his Gmail account on the phone. He's saying that my old Gmail account remains on it and he is unable to set up his account. I don't understand how this is possible. Any ideas, suggestions?

Yes it is called Google account lock & he needs your email & PW to get into phone. I think you should of removed your Google account before factory resetting it to avoid this?

Thanks for the reply. I'm surprised to read this. I've sold my other used phones previously and don't recall ever having this issue. Always assumed a factory reset wiped the phone clean of all data.

Factory reset, Google account protection?

Hey guys, 100% honest I bought an S8 yesterday at a yard sale, for $5!! (US, Sprint, SM-G95OU). I thought holy crap that guy had no idea what he was selling! Got into recovery mode, factory reset, however when booting back into the OS I'm running into the problem where it still needs the original owners Google account to continue. I swear to God I purchased this phone at a yard sale it is not stolen, can you guys help me surpass this issue? I've never had a Samsung device before and as I understand the procedures are different in terms of working with the bootloader and whatnot, I've heard of Odin but I'm not sure if it can help in the situation. I'll worry about carrier unlocking later, I just kind of want to be able to use it as a computer, not a cellphone. However I cannot get into the launcher until inputting a Google account, any help?

FRP S8 help please

Long story short, I lost my iphone 3 months ago in the dunes, then I shattered my backup S8+ screen yesterday. My brother gave me his backup phone that one of his friends borrowed. The person who was borrowing it has moved and has been pretty much MIA. The Samsung S8 doesn't recognize my brothers original gmail account he used when he purchased the phone. What are my options? Can I go to tmobile? I have tried every work around I could find. I've even tried using Odin to put a custom rom on it, which I don't think worked because I'm not sure how to enable debug mode with the phone being locked.
Called tmobile and they told me they can't do anything, even if I provide receipt of purchase on the phone. Can I contact samsung or something?
Contacted samsung and provided the receipt/proof of purchase. They stated they don't have the tools to unlock the FRP. They gave me the number for a facility that is capable of doing it. I have an appointment Monday to have the phone unlocked. They said it can take up to two hours, sometimes they aren't able to get through them. Will update how it goes.

need some Tech support please.

my Sister in laws dad died 2 weeks ago. he had a Note 20 ultra. my sis in law doesnt know the password to the device. remote unlock was not enabled either, i tried it via hia samsung account. is there any other way of salvaging the data on the phone via rooting or adb commands? he wasnt very tech savvy so nothing was backed up to the cloud, otherwise we'd have reset it already.
Contact Samsung support. They will be able to help once ownership is verified
Unfortunately this is a heavy gray area on xda. You won't get much more help than what you already did. ANy method will wipe the device. But if you can prove ownership and such death certificates samsung should help
