Hey guys, 100% honest I bought an S8 yesterday at a yard sale, for $5!! (US, Sprint, SM-G95OU). I thought holy crap that guy had no idea what he was selling! Got into recovery mode, factory reset, however when booting back into the OS I'm running into the problem where it still needs the original owners Google account to continue. I swear to God I purchased this phone at a yard sale it is not stolen, can you guys help me surpass this issue? I've never had a Samsung device before and as I understand the procedures are different in terms of working with the bootloader and whatnot, I've heard of Odin but I'm not sure if it can help in the situation. I'll worry about carrier unlocking later, I just kind of want to be able to use it as a computer, not a cellphone. However I cannot get into the launcher until inputting a Google account, any help?

Hey,
I got a hold of this Samsung Galaxy S6 LDU (SM-G920X) from a Samsung REP who actually works for the company and there is a slight problem with the unit. It has indeed the Retail mode installed and it is blocking a factory reset. But ontop of that someone (he has no idea who) has managed to setup a fingerprint lock on the phone. So essentially I can't reset the phone to get rid of the fingerprint (because the retail block) and I can't go in to take off the retail block because of the fingerprint.
I have flashed the BL, AP and CSC once and still I'm at the same place I started.
Does anyone have a workaround for this? No data needs to be stored. We actually want this to be used as a Gear VR demo machine.
He is already asking around if any of his colleagues know of the 2ndary password, but so far we just don't know. (Yes I do find it somehow funny, ironic even that a samsung rep would ask a retail specialist to help in such a manner but then again I do dabble on such things occasionally).
Any ideas?
giving this a one time bump after post was moved just in case it was missed. Anyone have a way to bypass this problem? We already gave up on that one and moved onto the next phones.

I'd like to preface this question by saying that the phone isn't stolen. Anywho, I purchased an LG Stylo 2 from a guy on Craigslist. Popped my sim card in before I bought it and everything was working. Got it home and the screen had locked and had a pass code on it. Tried to get ahold of the guy, he didn't answer so I just reset it. Frp reared it's ugly head and now I'm locked out of the phone. Tried again asking the guy for his account informationso I could get into the phone to reset it properly and still no answer. I've been without a phone for three days and I can't afford to just buy another phone. If anybody knows of any working bypasses I'd really appreciate it. Sorry for the wall of text.
Not sure if the STYLO 2 has diffences like the STYLO 1, but what carrier and is it 6.0.1? Because if u search YouTube...you may not have to wait for an answer

I can't get into the phone to see what version it is, unless there's a way to find that info in the recovery mode menu or something. But it's through boost mobile.

If it helps send a thanks.
I recently purchased this phone and it seems to be locked down due this this program called Samsung Retail mode on my Samsung Galaxy Express Prime SM-J320A. I have searched around and have tried the password that some people say works, the 5444. Unfortunately this password does not seem to work on this phone. Can someone recommend another password that it might be or steps on how to remove this so that I can do a factory reset and use this phone with my sim. As of now I cannot use the phone in anyway except watch the demo slideshow over and over. I cannot make any calls or reset anything as it is locked down due to this demo software. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have looked pretty much everywhere and cannot find a solution to this problem which makes the phone unusable.
Thank you,
Vec
Return it to seller, should not have been sold if it's in retail mode.

OK, I tried the password 5444 didn't work, I then tried the password NATIONWIDE, didn't work, I then saw a reply to a post on youtube that Best buy uses the password blue, and wala the PASSWORD was blue all lowercase. Hope this helps someone else trying to get rid of this annoying Samsung Retaill mode!!!!!!!!
Long story short, I lost my iphone 3 months ago in the dunes, then I shattered my backup S8+ screen yesterday. My brother gave me his backup phone that one of his friends borrowed. The person who was borrowing it has moved and has been pretty much MIA. The Samsung S8 doesn't recognize my brothers original gmail account he used when he purchased the phone. What are my options? Can I go to tmobile? I have tried every work around I could find. I've even tried using Odin to put a custom rom on it, which I don't think worked because I'm not sure how to enable debug mode with the phone being locked.
Called tmobile and they told me they can't do anything, even if I provide receipt of purchase on the phone. Can I contact samsung or something?
Contacted samsung and provided the receipt/proof of purchase. They stated they don't have the tools to unlock the FRP. They gave me the number for a facility that is capable of doing it. I have an appointment Monday to have the phone unlocked. They said it can take up to two hours, sometimes they aren't able to get through them. Will update how it goes.
Hi guys! I was wondering if there's someone who could assist me. I recently picked up a note 10 lite from some on OfferUp for $150. It looks brand spanking new, even has the shipping plastic still on it. I figured it would be a great upgrade for my mother, since she currently uses a Metro Galaxy A20. I have Note10+, so it would be easier for me to troubleshoot and give her a run down on different features (she's not tech savvy, in the least bit haha)
After getting home, I realized that although it was factory reset, the phone had the FRP still active [emoji2367]
I was able to find out that it's the N770F/DS model and it has an Indian firmware on it.
Is there anyway to bypass the frp? And if so, could I load firmware that would work in the US?
We're from California, and we're on Metro By T-Mobile,

You probably need to contact the person you got it from. It more than likely has other credentials on the device. Could have been a stolen phone. Not meaning anything toward you.

Either the phone is stolen or the previous owner did the factory reset without removing the accounts from the system first. Contact whoever sold it to you.
