This is important if you want to know whether you are updating right file or not. Let's find out how? Suppose, in your about phone, you see something like this, CAM-L21C10B141 now what's that mean? well it's pretty simple. CAM-L21 is model no of your phone. C10 is the region here it's Russia (check the list of country and region code). Now, B141 is incremental no of update (and it keeps incrementing.....wow). Here is some build code:
CAM-L21C223B131 -
CAM-L21C432B140 - Europe
CAM-L21C185B140 - Middle EAST
so first figure out your phone model and carefully download exactly similar firmware for you phone.
Basic Key Stroke to enter Mode:
<<< Enter Recover Mode >>>
Volume Up + Power button
<<< Enter Bootloader/Fastboot Mode >>>
Turn Off phone, Vol- and Conncet USB Cable
Or
From adb write: adb reboot-bootloader

Then Again TWRP>WIPE>Advance Wipe>Data>Change File Format> choose ext4>Swipe to confirm.

>> Boot phone into Fastboot mode and give this command: fastboot.exe oem get-bootinfo
Q3. Hey! I Flashed the wrong recovery image. I did not took backup of stock recovery. Now NO TWRP, NO EMUI Recovery. WHat to do??
>> It's nothing Relax! Take your Firmware (Only your Model, be careful) extract recovery.img using Huawei Update Extractor Tool. Then Flash it using Fastboot command. See above instruction for that. If you don't have exactly same firmware build version then take one or two increment updated firmware version. For example, When you flashed wrong recovery your phone firmware build was CAM-L21CXXXB140 then download exactly this file, for any reason if you don't find this then download CAM-L21CXXXB141/CAM-L21CXXXB150 etc. Extract recovery.img and flash it.

Custom Roms
Thank you very much for all these informations.
But in the stock Rom (Emui 4) there are a big issue. That it closes the application on screen closure even if these applications are protected.
So I am looking for any athor rom that works in this model. Or an update to emui 5 because it seems that they have solved this issue in this update.
Thanks in advance
I hooe someone would make a custom rom for this unit.
Try this Guide if you have LYO-L01

Today i played with my Vodafone 845 and tried to flash a new Custom Rom.
Somehow i pressed the wrong buttons(Power+VolumeUp+EndCall) for the Recovery and i got a new screen which i never saw before.
Does anybody know what this is, and if you can use it to flash the original firmware onto the device?
I added a photo of the Phone.

I have downloaded file from huaweidevice V845 V100R001NZLC02B233SP01 (New Zealand Vodafone)
And i have error after unpack
I have an IDEOS but it'll be the same procedure.
Put the dload folder from your update zip file on the root of your sdcard.
Do what you did to get to that screen and the flash will happen.
That's all there is to it.

New Zealand Vodafone 845
Hi.
I have installed the New Zealand rom, extracting the folder dload with the UPDATA.APP file inside. Then i copied to the root of the microSD card using a card reader.
Then on android, on Definitions->Storage...-> Update Software and confirmed. The phone went normal and everything was erased.
This version is quite stable but has too much icons of Vodafone, not to mention that is allways asking to register on Vodafone Website.
I would like to root a Desire S, VODACOM, South Africa, but ran into a wall(s) First I had problems installing the Android Tools as the SDK Manager just refuse to run no matter how the path was changed but I did manage to get the 4 main files needed to do the job.
adb.exe
adbwinapi.dll
adbwinusbapi.dll
Fastboot.exe
Also downloaded AndroidFlasher, 4EXT Recovery and su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip
I registered an account at HTCDev and select Desire * from the list. In the RUU list that follows there is no South Africa Vodacom to select to download. I was advised to select UK Vodacom as it is the same but ..... when I ran the utility everything goes fine displaying the current image version an the update version.
Hit the update button and it boots the phone then display ERROR[130] MODEL ID ERROR The ROM utility can not update your Android device.
Anyone perhaps from South Africa that can help me out there? Anybody will also do. Plse.
Hello - I am reverting from a custom firmware to Stock and flashed stock last night using:
Security Patch Level 2017-12-01
Product code SWC
PDA G920FXXS5EQL5
CSC G920FVFG5EQJ5
The first try failed at hidden.img and I used a pit file and suceede the 2nd time to successfully stock flash.
I used ZEROFLTE_EUR_OPEN_HIDDEN200M.pit which is multi CSC to support SWC which is what I need for OTA Updates.
I do not want to root my phone again but don't mind reflashing/resetting/factory resetting.
Samsung Info App now shows:
Product Code: SM-G920FKZESIM
Original CSC Code: <BLANK>
Firmware CSC Code: SIM
Active CSC Code: SIM
Available CSC Codes: ATL, CNX, CYV, MOB, MTL, OMN, SIM, SWC, tCL, VD2, VDC, VDF, VDH, VGR, VIP, VOD
CSC Country: Slovenia / SI
Mobile Operator: SwissCom
How can I get the CSC Code set to SWC? I want to get Voice over IP calling working which SwissCom says should be working.
Any advice on next move?
try this, not sure if it works: *#272*imei#* -Display/change CSC code
Download and run this;
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3803841&d=1467715462
When you open the program, type the values given here;
Model: SM-G920F
Region: SWC
Auto: Selected
Manual: Unselected
Binary Nature: Selected
Check CRC32: Selected
Decrypt automatically: Selected
When you write and select options given above, press "Check Update" and then press "Download" to download factory firmware for your device.
Once the download has been finished, extract the zip file that you've downloaded via SamFirm.
After unzip it, download and run this Odin (even if you have another one);
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3804544&d=1467772303
When you open it, press BL and select file which starts with BL from downloaded (from Samfirm) and extacted zip folder.
Do the same thing for AP, CP, CSC.
When you set 4 files to Odin, connect your phone in download mode.
After that, press Start. When Odin done the installation, phone will restart. When it is restarted, disconnect the cable.
After 1-2 minutes, phone will boot up as completely refreshed device.
Hi forumber2 - Thanks for the detailed response. I ran through the steps but the phone still shows Slovenia CSC. I then did a factory reset and still the same.
The Samsung Info app actually shows the same data as before:
Product Code: SM-G920FKZESIM

Hello
Before I start I want to let you know that my English is poor ..
I've been trying to update my Mate 20 X to EMUI 10 since 1/12/2019 using system update and Hicare .. but nothing
so I was looking for other ways to download it
I found a website to download this firmware ( must pay $18 ) to download this firmware .. I paid $18 and download the update and install it using dload method
so I uploaded the Firmware to Mediafire to download for free and I hope this can help everyone looking for this update
Before you download .. you must check your phone information and it must be :

- Build number starting with (C185XXXXXXX)
- if your phone information is different .. please write it in new reply and I will check if I can provide you with firmware .
- Everything in internal storage will be removed ( Data - Settings - Accounts ) .
I used dload method with SD card ( not working with internal storage ) .. I didn't try SP Flash Tool or Flashy tool
How to download and install firmware using dload method :
1- Download firmware from here ( 4.06GB )
2- Unzip file to SD card Directly.
3- make sure the file location must be like this ( SD ==> dload ) inside dload folder there are 3 zip files .. DO NOT EXTRACT THEM

5- Press & hold The volume up + The volume down first .. then press the power button and keep pressing all together

(bootloader) :EVR-L29 10.0.0.180(C185E6R3P3)
OKAY [ 0.011s]
finished. total time: 0.011s
Hey
can you provide the file for EVR-N29C 9.1.1.135(C431E2R4P1)?
Thank you in advance
Good information! Thanks! :good:
Hi all.
1. Is this a beta version or the final / release version for C185?
2. Is there any way to do this WITHOUT an SD card? The cheapest Huawei NM card out there runs for about $40 which seems ridiculous only for an update.\
Thanks!

I have been doing the updates with OTG storage. Just insure the \dload folder is in root of otg just like NM instructions.

EMIUI 10
Fota update
now
Where is the big update that suppose to fix the uneven volume and bring march or feb security?
Hi folks,
I got this CLT-AL00 (CN) and the phone is amazing, though is running the Chinese firmware and it has some restrictions in Europe. I did some research today about changing the firmware to CLT-L29 and it confirmed what I feared.
But still I will ask anyway because long time since my last Android, can I install the Stock version of CLT-L29 and success? or it will brick/fail because its a firmware for another country?
Right now the phone is not rooted and it runs:
- Build number: 9.0.0.187 (C00E57R1P15) GPU Turbo
- EMUI version: 9.0.0
- Bootloader Version: Chipset-boston9.0.0.001(0416)_FASTBOOT
- Vendor Component Version: Chipset-boston 9.0.0.001(P.19042504.china)
- Cust-CHN 9.0.0.1(P.EXT4)
- Product Component Version: Product-CLT-LGRP1-CHN 9.0.0(P.19010502)
- Base Software Version: CLT-LGRP1-CHN 9.0.0.187
- Cust Software Version: CLT-AL00-CUST 9.0.0.57(00)
- Preload Software Version: CLT-AL00-PRELOAD 9.0.0.15(c00R1)
- Vendor Country Info: Vendor - all, Country - cn
Another extra questions, do people pay for getting the bootloader code or Huawei still provide it? Or perhaps there are other ways...
You cannot get the code, and without it you cannot do anything. Use the phone as is.

But what about this method? I found it in multiples sites and it's not mentioned the need of having the boatloader unlocked.
Flash Huawei stock Firmware Via Normal Update
1- Create a new folder on your phone storage or in your SD card, and rename it to dload.
2- Download & extract Huawei Mobile Stock firmware & copy the UPDATE.APP file on dload folder
3- In your Huawei Mobile, Open the dialer and enter:
*#*#2846579#*#*
ProjectMenu => Software Upgrade => SDCard Upgrade => OK
4- Select the Update.app that you copy on your phone storage or in your SD card.
5- Now Wait until the installation process completes.
6- When the installation completes, the phone will restart automatically
7- If you have the Data File and you want to flash it to,
8- Create a new folder on your phone storage or in your SD card, and rename it to dload.
9- Download & extract the update_data_Xxxxx & move the new update.app to the dload folder
10- In your Huawei Mobile, Open the dialer and enter:
*#*#2846579#*#*
ProjectMenu => Software Upgrade => SDCard Upgrade => OK
11- Select the Update.app that you copy on your phone storage or in your SD card.
12- Now Wait until the installation process completes.
13- That's it! the phone will restart automatically

Thanks for confirming it! I suppose that somebody did the test already, right? because its not mentioned that it should be used for the same location, either that or its obvious!

Can you please tell me how did you manage to unlock the bootloader? I suppose DC-unlocker or anything based on that.
