Rubber case marks on the back and around the edges - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

Hello community Today I noticed that there are rubber marks on the back of my phone (made by a rubber case). I have tried a few things to clean them off, but nothing seems to help. Anyone else having the same "issue"? Any ideas what could make them fade away? This simply sth that bugs me. Once you see it, you can not unsee it anymore

seriously. this never happened to anyone?

Question for T32, Daxian, and M88 owners...

Do your phones also have the dust behind the touch screen problem? or is it only M88s? within that, is it only my M88? lol
I had to tape up every hole on my phone and just use a bluetooth headset. The dust builds up pretty quickly if there are any open holes and you leave the phone in your pocket. I have opened it and cleaned it 3 times already now (experimented trying to figure out which hole lets dust in). There is a little foam seal around the screen but it just doesn't seem to do the job.
Even right now all taped up there are a few errant pieces of dust annoying the hell out of me. They are hard to notice with the screen on but they still annoy me... You can NEVER get all of them off of there when you take it apart and clean it but you have to try when it gets bad.
Same problem on my M88
I have similar case, how do you can open the front cover?
Thanks
Rodolfo
I have the same problem,
Can you post a video how to do the job cleaner please?

Captivate durabilty

this phone is really light weight and somewhat solid
but has anyone tortured it yet? dropped it, scratched it, hit it on stuff?

sweet thx
so it looks like if you drop it from ear height your pretty much screwed...
I have a problem with how the sides curve towards the face with nothing to stop the phone slipping up. I have managed to have the phone slip upwards when I press the power button to turn the phone on though haven't actually quite dropped it yet but can see it happening if I do this when distracted by a pen/paper. I really need a rubberized case for this.

[Q] Buffing Out a Scuff On the Screen

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask...
I received my brand new Nexus S today, but I was disappointed to find a scuff on the screen, even under the protector that was shipped with it. Its small enough I don't want to ship it back, but it is annoying. Its def not a scratch. I've tried screen cleaner and rubbing it really hard, but it doesn't go away. I'm not for sure what kind of screen it is, so does anyone have any tips that won't scratch but might give me a chance to remove it?
It's likely to be a imperfection in the oleophobic coating. Normally it takes a few days and can wear off but you seem to have been unlucky. A way to prove it is to clean the screen well with a microfibre cloth - the scuff should now be almost invisible. If after you've touched the screen a few times it becomes much more obvious the diagnosis is confirmed.
Yeah that sounds exactly like the problem. Unfortunately it didn't get better. Its actually just above the display, closer to the camera and speaker. I was just hoping there was a quick fix to buffering it.

Has anyone tried XtremeGuard?

I just did and now I need a new phone. I don't know if it's just me or what but I did the wet install even used less water that in the videos they have on their Site and my screen is completely screwed. I assume a little water got in between the cracks and the plastic. Half of my screen is a greyish color and the other half is almost completely fine the Grey half flashes sometimes. Has anyone had this type of water damage? Will it dry out eventually or am I screwed?
Not sure what went wrong for you. I have a full body on my iHOX, full body on my Vizio Tablet, Front and Back on my iPhone 4, and back on my iPad 3. All of them went on smoothly, the bubbles cleared within about 48 hours and they've lasted forever. The only time they come up is if I attempt fitting a new case that has overlap on the screen and a tight grip. Sorry to hear something went wrong with yours.

I'm not sure what went wrong with it either. Yes it seems it would be a nice screen protector if my phone didn't look like two face right now. I know it's not just water left over from the screen protector because I pulled it up to see of it kept the color (at first I thought it was). I hope it drys out. Seems like it could. Theirs no major discoloration. Hopefully it stops flickering as well.

Try sticking it in a ziplock with some dry white rice overnight to see if that helps pull out the moisture. I would avoid turning it on till then.

let me know if this works. i would like to get a screen protector myself but the bottom part of my screen makes a loose crackly noise. after what you said i'm scared it might get water in through there also. is there any non-water based way to apply the screen protector, like an alcohol solution or something that'll evap clean?

Well after a night sitting in rice I turned it on but the back light fried out of it. I wouldn't recommend wet install anything personally, I'll never get anything that says wet install ever again. Too risky Imo.
works
I have it and installed it with soapy water just like advised, took me a while to install because some particles got under the screen but worked fine.
Be careful to pay attention to edges when putting it on so there wouldn't be any bubbles and it doesn't completely cover the edges.
(Oh and if you press the screen against glass it sticks to it, pretty cool for taking timer pics or videos; careful not to rip the screen out, it sticks really good sometimes

Something loose inside of phone?

I'm still using my OPO and just the other day I felt something sliding " INSIDE OF PHONE " when I turn it upside down where top of phone is pointing down something slides down the length of the phone.. It feels like something kindof heavy... I'm guessing battery is loose from too many drops.
Outside of the sliding movement inside the phone - the thing still works and looks like new as I have it in diztronic durable case with re-enforced corners..
Anybody else have this issue. and resolve it. Maybe the glue holding battery in place gave out??? suggestions for an easy fix or is it ok to ignore?
Thanx
