Will we see Oreo Beta to C567 US region anytime soon?
Just want to have the latest security updates.
Just like any other devices (Except for Nexus/Pixel devices) its always a waiting game. I'm sure We'll see Oreo within the next 6 months. But no one knows a timeline.
We don't even have 5.1 yet

There is a Beat Build for the C567, Build B302 with EMUI 5.1. (September Security Patch) I am running it currently. It has some quirks as any beta does, but over all its nice. I feel as though the stable build should be out shortly after the Mate 10 launches.
Here is the link to my post on A/C with my review/experience with it.

Hi guys,
Just got my mate 8 a few days ago, it had a software update available to NXT-L29C432B180, but not the update to EMUI 4.1. When I check for updates it says it's up to date. Is there a reason for this?
EDIT: Alright, did some more reading, is it correct that the update to B3xx is more of a beta than a stable release?
yep, that seems to be correct. although B361 for the AL10 miiiiiight be the stable release weve been waiting for... no word on its availability as an OTA yet though. and nothing new on the L29 front....

Update news December 14,2017:
Nokia 6 will most probably make its way to oreo beta by this weekend or mid of next week.
Nokia 6 didn't get oreo beta update because a pre release build of Nokia 6 has some critical device related bugs which need to be fixed even before public beta, which caused delay.

yes here TA 1033....
TA-1025 Not yet waiting
One thing that I'm more than okay with this update is the memory usually >=1.5 GB down to 1.3GB on my phone. New feature Background activity manager in Battery setting, a nice touch but I don't really need it. I've noticed a slightly change with the stock launcher3 which I'm using now and a little improvement about performances.
Still, slowly waiting them to unlock the bootloader.
But my Nokia6 1021 ....not getting 7.1.2!!! September patch only installed..!!! Even though not even getting October patch
my Ta 1021 also got upgrade .

Thanks. Is that OTA zip for the TA 1021 models only or is it compatible with all models?

Only for TA 1021 model
Seems only certain variants are getting 7.1.2...
My TA-1003 is only 7.1.1 with October security patch... It was on about 160MB download.
Does this mean we don't get the updates, just the security patch?
Hi all,
I have an MHA-L29 and it is currently running 8.0.0.360(C567). The security update is dated January 2018.
My company requires that my phone not have a security patch more than 90 days old. Is there a ROM compatible with MHA-L29 that has a newer security patch? What is the newest security patch available in any MHA-L29 ROM from Huawei, does anyone know?
And how likely am I to be able to install it? This is a retail US model phone, so far as I know.

It's better to buy other phone
Your requirement is too hard to satisfy.
You have US region and latest version is 8.0.0.360.
Even if Huawei will post new ROM need 2-3 weeks more to test and approve.
Additionally Mate 9 released at November 2016. 15 months ago. No guarantee that 8.0.0.360 is not last...
Ok. There are other regions with newer security patch, like C636. But you have to rebrand your device (unlock bootloader, install custom recovery, install patched recovery) - so beat your security. Sure, it is temporary, but in advance you have to rebrand back if region C636 will not post next ROM in 90 days...
As I know, region C00 (China) has latest security patch and regularly updates. Rebrand to C00 if you are not confusing by hieroglyphs and specific memory manager (it is very aggressive to background apps)
P.s. to rebrand when using Oreo you have to rollback on Nougat's ROM, then rebrand using oeminfo in HwOta, then upgrade to Oreo.
This way cause oeminfos from Oreo are different with Nougat's files.
Gotcha. Thanks!
I was afraid of that. I'm OK with Android and Linux in general, but I don't want to do a lot of hard, risky work over and over again just to keep my phone running. Company is recommending Google Pixel 2 or iPhone. Not exciting, but I'm getting too old and lazy to hack my Android devices once a month.
Thanks for your help!

Wow, thank you for letting me know! I'll re-install the app and keep watching! Thanks again!
I updated to Pie and I hate it. I want to go back to the latest updated version of Oreo just before the Pie upgrade. I'm with Telstra in Australia and can only find the Oreo version form Telstra from September 2017. Is it possible to install that version and apply updates right up just before Pie?
Are you concerned that factory images that do not list a specific carrier or region are not suitable for installation on a Telestra device? For example, 8.1.0 (OPM2.171026.006.G1, Jul 2018) does not call out a region or carrier. The initial Pixel 2 factory image and several later images do not list a carrier or region.
Perhaps you can back up your current install, try the November 2018, and see you like it better. If not, attempt to downgrade to 8.1.0 (OPM2.171026.006.G1, Jul 2018). If the downgrade fails, reinstall your 9.0 backup.
For what it's worth, I have not done this and recommend searching the forum for people who have tried to downgrade: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2/help/to-downgrade-android-9-0-t3850398
Hope this helps somewhat.

Pie was released in October. The September update would be the most recent image for Oreo. You can install it but if you do, you won't be able to update your phone again. All future updates will be Pie. What I'm saying is you won't be able to install future updates without installing the Pie update first. There is no more Oreo after September.
Yeah I'm not interested in upgrading any further than the last Oreo version. So many features of pie are just not to my liking. I can't back up my current install because I haven't unlocked my bootloader or rooted yet. Mainly because Oreo was so good there was no real reason for me to bother. Now I'm forced to, to get rid of this terrible version of android.

What I think @robocuff means is that you will not receive any security patches going forward. All subsequent patches will be for Pie only.

Yeah I understand that. That's why I wanted to get the latest Oreo before pie so I was as up to date as possible. I don't care about updating any further. I just want a decent ROM, which in my opinion, Pie is far from.
Thanks for the input guys.
It is coming... Click Here For Link
Hope it is not the version that locks out third party launchers. I think that is only on Chinese models.
Agree, one article I read didn't explicitly say it was only for Chinese models. But I read here it was only for those models, so who knows.

The Nordics will begin testing early December for 64gb lte model and a release, if everything goes well, is 1-1. 5 months later.
In China there is a beta for Pie already. Let's hope it doesn't take much longer.

I say March \ April 2019. Do not expect too much from Huawei.
Sorry wrong thread
Prove it pls with a screenshot
will it come to M5?
Yes... If the service help desk can be trusted. But be aware that a lot of delays can happen
Just check firmware finder for the Chinese version. There is the Pie Update.

Waiting beta for sht-w09c432, i want it
See: https://www.theandroidsoul.com/huawei-honor-android-9-pie-update/
for new about the Pie rollout.
Then see: https://www.getdroidtips.com/mediapad-m5-8-android-9-0-pie/
for getting Pie before the OTA rollout. Note that only China is associated with a couple of the firmware listed; but the ....jp.zip could be for Japan & the ....eu.zip could be for Europe. Several ....cn.zip probably are for China.
No idea how any would work for USA versions.
Code:
For instance, after upgrading your MediaPad M5 to EMUI 9.0, you won’t be able to install and use third-party launchers, but this will be fixed in a future update.
Well...that sucks... I wait for final...
