My phone stopped charging. Keep showing the red light no matter how long of charging. - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

My FRD-L14 was stuck at boot logo. I kept trying the volume keys + power button combo in able to enter eRecovery and dload flash but can't until it drained my battery. Now I charged my phone for almost 3 hours but its always on the red light. Low battery won't let me go to eRecovery it just shows the red thunder icon after polding volume up and power button. (Yep I disconnect the power cord when trying to boot into recovery)
I dont have custom recovery cos I did rollback to MM.
EDIT: Nevermind. I think it was because the phone is trying to boot which drains battery. But my phone is now okay. Bootloop gone

Hello,
How did you managed to overcome this situation? Did you removed the battery and charged externally?
I have the same issue at the moment. I can't access recovery or fastboot.

How did you solved that issue when it happened?
I'm still trying to find a way to stop boot loop so that I can charge the battery. Without the battery charged I can't enter fastboot. The boot loop drains the battery. I don't want to open the phone yet.

My phone sometimes is completely discharged all of a sudden. Takes about half a minute of charging to get back being able to turn it on again, still connected to the charger. Maybe happened to you? Try connecting it to a powered charger and try turning it on again...

Can you get back to the bootloader screen? (hold vol down + power) If you can, you can get to fastboot and push a different recovery/kernel/rom/whatever you need from the PC (fastboot.exe probably will detect your phone if it's in fastboot mode).
This post has a solution for some cases: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25850720&postcount=8
This thread has a FAQ that might give you some ideas too (post #3): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1599363

No, when i hold Power (or vol down + power), phone doesn't do anything, screen doesn't light up, no vibration, no any reaction. So i can't get to hboot or fastboot.

just checkin since you didn't mention that

There are problems entering HBoot sometimes. Try to enter it via your computer. Plug your phone into computer and use the command "adb reboot-bootloader" twice. You should get to the bootloader

hard bricked my MT-TL10

Hi there,
Kindly help... I successfully installed B512 on my TL10 using force upgrade method, afterwhich I changed recovery to TWRP 3.0.2 using mobopx v2.2, which was also successful. And then I installed SuperSU 2.46 via TWRP, then cleared cache/dalvik. But upon rebooting system, I get a blank screen, even after waiting for more than 15 minutes.
And so I tried going to TWRP (Vol+ and power), which was successful, in order to boot to bootloader, with the intention of loading back the stock bootloader via adb, so that I can force install B512 from my microSD card again. It seemed to install fine...
However, at this point, I cannot reboot to bootloader (Vol- and power) anymore, I only get blank screen. Trying recovery (Vol+ and power) doesn't work either. Rebooting normally gives me the same. I cannot by any means connect via adb now.
Is there any way to unbrick my phone at this point?
Thanks so much. Cheers.

You seem to be in a sticky situation bro. Your recovery seems to be broken because in stock recovery Vol up + power should ideally take you to recovery and not restart. If you could somehow boot into fastboot mode then it could open up some options to bring your phone to life.
With no way to connect to the phone the only options left are the hardware buttons. I am sure you'd have tried them already, but just in case you have not, try the other 2 key combinations also, Vol down + power and Vol up + Volume down + power, for ~10 secs, to check if any of these either forces a factory reset or boots the phone into fastboot mode.

Thank you for this suggestion brother. I tried exactly as you described, however, the phone looks badly discharged, and while the screen was blinking/showing the red battery icon, it doesn't seem to want to charge. I waited around 5 minutes, but nothing seems to progress from here.
And so now, I moved the USB cable to a proper charger, and now it seems to be charging, with the LED light a steady red, and the screen the normal red circle with "0%" inside. It seems to be charging at the moment, although I really have to wait until it shows "1%" until I can surely say so.
One thing that's different now is that the phone hasn't turned on (by itself) yet. And at least this looks promising.
I'll let you know what happens in a while... Thank you!

Ok. Listen very carefully. Plug USB and let it turn on. When you see three options menu with Bootloader Unlocked warning hold Volume Up to boot into eRecovery. It will boot TWRP. If you missed that, no problem. Charge it for a few hours. Let it drain and try again.

What you mean bootloop? Don't remove the battery. You will void the warranty. Attach the battery and try again. If all fails, try DC Unlocker or service center

Question POCO X3 NFC just died out of nowhere. Not even the charging light is working. (global)

Hello.
About 7 hours ago, I had %5 charge and I was using the phone until the screen went gray. I thought it would be charge ending but no spinning animation was on screen. When I realized it was stuck, I had no way but to just hold the power button to force shutdown. I then quickly put it to charge.
I knew it was charging (powerbank also has a display for its own battery which drops) but the phone doesnt even have notification light on. It doesnt boot into anything.
1 - I hold power for 3 minutes straight. Nothing happened.
2 - Plugged phone to pc. "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" with an exclamation mark showed up in device manager. Held VOL UP and POWER for 12 seconds until it refreshed. Then after a while the same device came back.
3 - Also held VOL DOWN and POWER which is again a total failure.
If this really is that bug with the chip inside and my phone got bricked and I need the motherboard changed, I will lose all data. Is that correct?
I think the warranty is still there but I want my data more than I want this useless unreliable phone... Please help...

Hello.
About 7 hours ago, I had %5 charge and I was using the phone until the screen went gray. I thought it would be charge ending but no spinning animation was on screen. When I realized it was stuck, I had no way but to just hold the power button to force shutdown. I then quickly put it to charge.

Why is it not recoverable? Can't we do anything about this device with exclamation mark?

Your device is in EDL Mode and even if it could enter Fastboot mode, both modes require formatting before it can be recovered.
(Formatting create a new partition).

I always used stock but didnt update to prevent restrictions on adb backup backing up app's save data. What do you mean by kernel?

EDL is Qualcomm's Emergency DownLoad which allows you to flash a bricked phone where the fastboot is no longer functional.
Will only work if it's a software problem.
