Hi guys,
First, I apologize if I'm not in the correct section, but I don't find it.
So, the engineers use in my company several android tablet and I have a problem with one which is under Android 5: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/tablets/lenovo/a-series/tab2a10/?menu-id=a10_tab_2
This tablet is back after that one of my colleagues left the company. As I do with my old devices running Android 4, I did a reset factory.
But now after entering the WiFi password, I have the message: "This device was reset, To continue sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device".
Unfortunately, it's impossible, I can't contact my ex colleague and I'm not sure that he will accept to give me his personnal code.
I saw some some solutions on internet (wait 3 days, try to connect an USB key,...), nothing works.
Do you have a solution for me?
The tablet is in perfect state and it's a pity to not continue to use it.
Thank you for your help.

Hi there,
Here's the thing, After updating to MM my phone started with issues like no working home button, no status bar... etc.
So decided to make a factory reset using fastboot, but when google account verification came up I realized i didn't remember my google account pass, so i touched the "change pass" button and changed it using the phone.
But then, when trying to log in, an android alert came up telling something like,
"You should sign in with an actual phone owner's account"
Could you give a solution for this?
Do i have to wait 24hs as some sites say or the only way to access my phone now is flashing the whole ROM again?
I've got bootloader locked and is obviously not rooted.
Please Help me!!
Regards.

Edit: Seems there's no fu*** option rather than "cool-down" wait. (Not clearly whether is 24 or 72 hours)
Thanks google indeed, not implementing apple kinda things was clearly why i did preferred your devices & s/w instead of theirs.
Edit2: Lock out is of 24 hours right now!

i bought a microsoft lumina 650 (2nd hand) watched her remove her microsoft account. everything was working great until my mobile provider said i needed a new sim card........well then my phone would drop calls not send text msgs turn off ect....Im not a phone tech by any means. Everywhere i researched my issue with the phone said to do a factory reset. ok i thought i will lose what ever i have on the phone since my pc (hp 21 decided while left all alone to never turn on again......back up )laptop has windows 7 not very compatible with phone. So factory reset we go........reset complete and im locked out by reset protection recovery key. Key is not being accepted by the phone, cant even get to a microsoft mobile tech redirected every time to b2x who cant help me they say contact microsoft. felt a little(lot) passed off by both companies and just gave up. contacted previous owner and her account doesnt work either. So now im hoping threw this forum that there is someone out there that knows how to get me back my phone.
PS never done a forum before so if i have something wrong or ......
dec 3 2017 update to my hair pulling frustration........ google has a feature find my phone and in there it says that if you give or sell your device that you should remove it and they will display the reset recovery code and send me an email as well with this info.. Ok so picture a woman in her pj's one fuzzy slipper on ( dog has chewed the other to a unrecognizable lump of something) looking at this google page and asking can it be that simple....smile and say to herself outloud #$$#% why didnt i find this earlier like 2 flippen mths ago......but then frown and look at her crappy back up computer with dredd.....thinking about her techinical luck lately which is not good minus minus on 1-10 scale. stare at the screen for 10 mins ( pros and cons debate going on) final debate statment said google wouldnt have that option if it didnt do as it says....strong statment that side wins and i push the delete my device tab.......... device successfully deleted.......looking ........looking........ nothing else pops up. panick says what ? temper steps in and says WHAT THE======. yup thats correct not only did i not recieve the code didnt get and email and no response from google. Ok so i hope you found that a little funny cause i have outlook that also has my device still linked to that account and it also says that i can access the recovery code but i have no idea how to get that display when i hit the ? tab the help topics are only on forgot sign in password. so if anyone know how to get device info from an outlook device account i would appreciate the help thanks for reading...cheers
Hello guys, I'll begin by saying that I'm not english so if i make mistakes u have to forgive me. Yesterday, a friend of mine came to me by saying that he "found" a phone, which actually is a Huawei Mate 9 MHA-L29.
Now, he told me that he tried to return the phone to the police but it didn't have any SIM card in it and they just told him to keep it because they couldn't do anything. I was actually searching a good and cheap phone to buy and he told me that he can sell it to me at a nice price if i manage to unlock it, now the problems start. So when i turn it on, it hasn't any wallpaper and it wants the unlock Pin, which obviously is unknown.
Something like this happened to me a month ago with a P8 Lite which i factory resetted even if it had a pin and everything went fine.
With this phone tho, if i go to eRecovery (both buttons and start button) and press "Download lastest version and recovery" it makes me choose a wifi and then gives me "getting package info failed".
If i try Vol Down and start button, it takes me to the EMUI update i guess (I'm kinda new to these things so please understand my ignorance.) and tells me "System install failed".
Also tried to link it via USB to my PC and tried Recovery from HiSuite but i guess since the device is in "only charge" and i don't have the pin to change that, it doesn't work either.
Do you guys think is it possible to unlock it someway? I would really appreciate your help.
It could be the original owner who had lost the phone had contacted Huawei and had them disable phone, (making it useless).
debugging seems to be not enabled
password isn’t known
pin isn’t known
factory reset without removing pin/password before will not be successful!!!
as i know, this phone is fully useless for you.
BTW: bad for you, but good for all the people which have lost her phone.
If you would have the original box and bill, the HUAWEI service center can help.
Without this, you will get no help!
and at last...
How often do you think, people have "lost" her phone without sim card installed into it? Not often i think!!!
If it has the original software and recovery on it, chances are that FRP lock is still enabled so unfortunately, it's worth nothing. Maybe you guys can post it on some public ad sites and the owner will be found and give a reward.
Hi Everyone,
I'm having a big problem with my Note 6 Pro. So, I came here to hopefully find a solution. Several days ago, when I attempted to enter my password, it was no longer accepted. Just receive a message on the screen that it's not correct. Except that it is correct - it's the Xiaomi garbage that is not correct. I changed nothing and nobody else ever has access to my phone so, it's quite impossible that anyone else ever changed it. I really am in a bad situation. Could someone advise any potential method that I could be able to access the phone?
I'm currently living in Hong Kong. Are there any top, local phone repair shops that might be able to help? Xiaomi service told me that the only way to use my phone again would be a complete reset. I can't believe this is the only method that would ever work. At this point, I don't even care what happens to the phone in the end as I will never use it, nor will I ever use any Xiaomi product again. I just want to be able to retrieve the last few months of irreplaceable photos and my various contacts.
Cheers!
Amy
Well...i can tell you one thing.
My office colleague have Redmi Note 5 amd last week she had exactly the same issue...
Phone locked itself and she couldn't unlock it...and she also didn't do anything...
Nothing was working, nor fingerprint, nor PIN code...
With your post, I'm wondering if it's some kind of a bug???
She eventually take it to service in order to somehow make backup of all the files of internal storage.
I saw that she has the phone now but didn't ask her what she did, was she able.to save the data etc.
I will check it tomorrow if i see her.

At first do you have any custom recovery installed on your phone? If so open it and select Advanced tab , File Manager and go to data then scroll down and open system folder and delete this files one by one > locksettings.db , locksettings.db-shm , locksettings.db-wal , gatekeeper.pattern.key (If found) , gatekeeper.password.key (If found) , password.key .. Now reboot phone

Thank you for the information. However, I don't have any custom recovery installed. I'm using the phone as purchased - everything is stock. What you described would not work on stock phones?
I have checked with my colleague, she needed to do factory reset of the phone, and thus lost all the data that she had on the phone [emoji53]
She said that there was some glitch/bug during charging - phone was on charger, and at one point there was voltage dropdown in the electricity network (usual stuff in Serbia), like power got cut down for 1 second and up and running again...after this, her phone was locked...

Unfortunately it won't work without flashing a custom recovery
Bro I encountered the same problem and I knew that this is some sort of a bug, (by the way I'm an tech expert, so any problem in Android or windows i can probably solve it) so before dealing with any kind of bug in Android just reboot your device and guess what, 99% bugs get fixed after rebooting your device. And it perfectly solved mine too
Hi! I have made an account specifically to reply and inform you that I had encountered the same issue on my Xiaomi Note 9s and my brother, twice on his Vivo y19. I was the victim first and I was certain that I hadn't forgot nor did anyone mess with my phone. Afterwards I'd just keep my phone without any security. When my brother told me that he had the same issue, I was shocked to know that it wasn't only Xiaomi but Vivo as well, so my decision to keep my phone free of locks was solidified. My brother however, decided to use security again and it happened for the second time.
I'm not sure if Google or Xiaomi, Vivo, individually or collectively, have a part in this. All I know is that it's really painful to loss your data this way, for no apparent reason at all.
This sucks and there's very little information on internet regarding why this happens.
So my advice is that if you've been locked out of your device this way once, don't ever use the security features again. Because most of these phones require a primary password (pattern, pin, code etc) for other features like facelock and fingerprints to work. What sucks even more is that they only ask for the primary passwords on restarts. Had it been the fingerprint, I probably could have unlocked my phone (not sure if my fingerprint would have also been reset).
P. S. I used a lot of words to convey a simple message but it's because English isn't my first language and I don't want anyone to deal with the same headache as mine.
