Kirin 950 or 955? - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

Which one does the Honor comes with?
Cpu Z on my Honor says that mines has the 955.
Any answers to this? Or an error by CPU-Z?

950 should be the correct chip

Well, I think that CPU-Z has an error.

Thanks! Downloading now

Its 950, it makes sense it had this error, since 955 is just a litle bit different of 950 (just like sd 820 & 821)

The Honor 8 does run on the HiSilicon Kirin 950. Which is a beast of a SOC.

Does Huawei lying about HW specs ?

Hey guys
Huawei seems to not saying truth about their phone ..
I have CPU-z and antutu says battery is NOT 4000 but only 3000 then GPU is NOT T628 MP6 but poor T624

I don't think so. Mate 7 is the best phone I ever had as far as battery is concerned.
CPU Z is definitely giving wrong information. This is clear from it's feedbacks in play store.
I installed one similar application from play store and it declared my cpu as snapdragon 810...everybody knows that our cpu is not snapdragon... ? ? ?

CPU-Z is usually wrong on batteries. Check out the reviews for CPU-Z on play store. On a side note, someone I know once returned a phone because of wrong battery info he got from CPU-Z!

acoording benchmark results it has T628 but MP4 not MP6 as this site claiming wrong..
http://www.devicespecifications.com/en/comparison/4b381a102
T628 MP6 is powerful gpu, Note 3 have it. On ARM site there is no T628 gpu with 4 cores, it says from 5 up to 8 gpu cores, and T624 is up to 4 cores. Acording to results of gpu benchmarks we have somekind of cripled T628 gpu. I hope we will get performance increase with lolipop firmware and maybe more agresive kernel.

It's 628 MP4, it's debated in another thread. Even if cpuz says T624.

Honor camera

Is honor 6x camera good for taking videos ?
#Honor6x
camera
it is good?
it should be good.. because I own an honor 5x and seem to be a good camera, and 6x should be the successor, so it should have a camera better than 5x
I'd say it good enough for making family videos, but don't expect flagship quality video quality.
Better compared to the competetors, the only drawback is stabilisation and low light performance

Dual tone flash is missing in Honor 6X. I dono why they are removing features of 5X in its successor.

Kirin 970 SoC Announced

Kirin 970 SoC Announced
Huawei just shared details about the new Kirin 970 chipset. As you know, the Honor 9 is equipped with the Kirin 960 and the performance on this phone is fantastic. So whats new with this new chip?
Internal tests show this performance capability allows the Kirin 970 to process 2005 images per minute, which is up from 97 images per minute without the NPU. The new chipset from Huawei is similar to the previous Kirin 960 but sporting higher frequencies, being an eight-core SoC with four being Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.40 GHz and the other four being Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.80 GHz. The GPU Huawei has chosen to go with is the newer ARM Mali-G72MP12, but the company has yet to announce its clock speed.
They did, however, confirm it will have a dual ISP, but again, didn’t go into detail about its performance. It will be equipped with the Kirin 970 Integrated LTE modem (a Category 18 modem) with download capabilities of 1.2Gbps. The last bit of information that was announced at IFA this year was that it would be built on a 10nm process from TSMC. The company normally has big press events for their new chips, and since that wasn’t the case at IFA, it is likely why they didn’t reveal any more details about it.

Well, I guess we could test the phone...which would provide empirical facts. I dunno....
To put the 865+ to bed ........? here it is definitely the 865+........?
False reports happen all the time and from the very beginning with these apps... just be glad it said Snapdragon.
Samsung may substitute smaller chipsets/components as needed but certainly not the processor as it's speced out specifically.
