Honor camera - Honor 6X Questions & Answers

Is honor 6x camera good for taking videos ?
#Honor6x

camera
it is good?

it should be good.. because I own an honor 5x and seem to be a good camera, and 6x should be the successor, so it should have a camera better than 5x

I'd say it good enough for making family videos, but don't expect flagship quality video quality.

Better compared to the competetors, the only drawback is stabilisation and low light performance

Dual tone flash is missing in Honor 6X. I dono why they are removing features of 5X in its successor.

should i sell mate 8 and get a Xiaomi Mi Max?

Hello guys... since Huawei has a bad camera and bad notification time receive i am thinking of selling my mate 8 128 champagne gold and get a MI Max 4gb ram + 128 storage... what do you think guys?
Sent from my HUAWEI NXT-AL10 using XDA-Developers mobile app
oh gawd no! hardware is waaay worse on the mi max... only upsides are larger display and larger battery, but tbh, 6 inches is more handy than 6.44
also, camera quality has been improved on the new B321 firmware according to user reports notifications can be handled by proper settings and conversion of user apps into system apps, no problem there!
Sent from my Huawei Mate 8 NXT-AL10
I did just that and I am happy with the switch. However as previous poster said the hardware is not quite as good but the software runs just as smooth and even smoother in Play Store for example. You can't really tell that much in everyday usage that the hardware inside is inferior. The build quality is not as good either but it's good enough.
All in all I'm more happy with the Mi Max. MIUI is much more polished than EMUI and looks much better and has way better theme support.
I have written a review about it. It's in Swedish but Google Translate should translate it good enough for you:

yeah do that if you are insane............ i got the max it was nice sold on the second day nowhere near in quality to the mate 8 .....
Only pro would be maybe more mature os.
Mate 8 is currently the best phablet that doesn't do anything perfect but everything good or above average.
Snapdragon 650 would be major step down.

Kirin 970 SoC Announced

Kirin 970 SoC Announced
Huawei just shared details about the new Kirin 970 chipset. As you know, the Honor 9 is equipped with the Kirin 960 and the performance on this phone is fantastic. So whats new with this new chip?
Internal tests show this performance capability allows the Kirin 970 to process 2005 images per minute, which is up from 97 images per minute without the NPU. The new chipset from Huawei is similar to the previous Kirin 960 but sporting higher frequencies, being an eight-core SoC with four being Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.40 GHz and the other four being Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.80 GHz. The GPU Huawei has chosen to go with is the newer ARM Mali-G72MP12, but the company has yet to announce its clock speed.
They did, however, confirm it will have a dual ISP, but again, didn’t go into detail about its performance. It will be equipped with the Kirin 970 Integrated LTE modem (a Category 18 modem) with download capabilities of 1.2Gbps. The last bit of information that was announced at IFA this year was that it would be built on a 10nm process from TSMC. The company normally has big press events for their new chips, and since that wasn’t the case at IFA, it is likely why they didn’t reveal any more details about it.

I do know that the US variant of the SGS8 was suppose to be the 1st device released with the SD830. I have no idea why they used the SD835 instead.

Buy Mate 9 or 10 Lite

Greetings,
just need some help with buying. I can buy a Mate 9 for 469 Euros or a Mate 10 Lite for 349. What device should I choose?
Can you help ?
Thanks!
Robin
I have the same question in mind, which device?
Comparing these two awesome device, its difficult to pick one (setting aside the cost - of course)
If I may ask you, which one do you need, because for me, I need more the mate 9 rather than the mate 10 lite.
I have done a lot of comparison and mate 9 meets most of my needs in a phone.

^^^ What he said ^^^
Those two specs make all the difference and makes me favor the Mate 9. If it's available to you, you can get awesome deals on mint-condition Mate 9 on Swappa. It may actually cost you less than a Mate 10 Lite.
You'll get 4x A73 cores vs the similarly clocked 4x A53 on the 10 Lite. While the latter is certainly no slouch, the A73 cores, id addition to software optimizations, are probably the main elements responsible for how the zippy the Mate 9 feels and behaves.
DIsclaimer: I haven't looked at comparison benchmarks or real world reviews pitting the 2 together

Huawei is preparing a "very scary" technology

Huawei is preparing a "very scary" technology that can change all of its devices
https://infoglitz.com/polandeng/hua...echnology-that-can-change-all-of-its-devices/
What is that? What they will make? Software or hardware? Will P20 Pro be able to use "scary technology "?
Or it will be new P20 Pro with Kirin 980?
It sounds like AI battery optimization to me.
Sounds like a bad translation to me.

Some leaks say that Huawei will remove/modify Android's Dalvik to speed system up, and rename the new system to Kirin OS. And of cause, someone has already said that.
No worry about US gov's decision, chineses gov won't agree.
The "scary technology " has been revealed by Huawei today and dubbed "GPU turbo ". Interesting thing is that we probably get this on our p20's as well

Kirin 970 with "GPU turbo " in action and outperforms Xiaomi Mi8 SD845.. App opening speeds are insanely fast Really hope this will come to our devices in a future firmware update.
