Finally Root! (maybe) - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note5

I know that there isn't root for the verizon note 5 but I stumbled upon a video by droidmodderx about a one click root method for any android device. When checking under the supported devices for this method, I saw the sm-n920v. So I'm wondering if anyone wants to try this method and see if it works. I really hope so!!
xda wont allow me to post a link but just go to droidmodderx youtube page and there should be a video on the one click root method that was posted about 2 weeks ago.

Doesn't work and a lot of websites claim that they can root the Verizon Note 5 but there's that old saying. Don't believe everything you see online.

[Q] SuperOneClick unrootable?

Okay, so i come from the Nexus One now having the T-Mobile G2X which is a pretty good phone and already some roots have came out which is great since i could try to back up all my apps from my Nexus One to my new T-Mobile G2X.
Okay, i know the the Universal Androot has the ability to root and unroot your phone with a simple touch of just one button WITHOUT unlocking the bootloader or even restarting
(If you guys didnt know about this, click here to learn more)
Okay, so i heard there is a new app called "SuperOneClick" but im not sure if it works for the T-Mobile G2X (Yes, i know there is something called Google and yes i googled it but i get like 20 different answers)
So im asking this:
Is this "SuperOneClick" compatible with the T-Mobile G2X?
Will it be able to root AND unroot my phone with one touch? (Like the Universal Androot)
Also, there are many threads about this and i cant find the original thread but i know its from this forum, can someone post a link to the thread about this "SuperOneClick" or maybe a thread that tells you how to root the T-Mobile G2X using the "SuperOneClick"?
Thanks!

Searched up and people had more errors than thanks.
Might as well wait till someone makes a video on how to root.

[Q] Help Rooting i747m!

Hello! This is my first time posting to a forum like this, hopefully I'm doing it right!
I have just gotten an S3 i747m to play with and cant seem to get it to root successfully
I have tried several times with the guides online, the actual root process works great, but when I use root checker it hangs up. Also there is no root access for apps.
I have read the forums and have seen most people root the S3 very easy. Has anyone come across this problem or have a fix for it?
I had no issues running odin, everything says that the root was a success, but when I check the phone I have no root access.
Any help in this regard would be appreciated thanks!!
I think you are in the wrong forum. The at&t forum is the one you want. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You're right. 535 is Verizon, 747 is AT&T.

Verizon / AT&T Galaxy S5 Root

I wanted to start a thread on this topic, as there currently is no root method available for these two GS5 variants. The CF-auto-root method provided below for most other GS5's currently does not work for Verizon and AT&T models:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696537
An exploit root method is needed to root these devices - when information is learned, please add to this thread.
Please refer to the Verizon etc GS5 threads!
They have been added seperately to the so called "plain" GS5 threads.
Source Code
The source code is located at http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=sub&sub=F&searchValue=sm-g900a. I would root this myself, but I am busy. My phone's version is G900AUCU1ANCE and it is an AT&T phone without the Lookout and Yellow Pages update.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Even though it is not part of this thread, the Samsung Developer site (http://developer.samsung.com/develop) is broken on the latest browsers. If anyone wants to, a backup link to the Samsung Android API would be appreciated as I want to mess around with the fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor when I have time.

You would root this yourself but you are busy? There is a $12,000 bounty for a root method so maybe you should reconsider if you actually have the talent to do so.

Z3v root

I just checked out the Verizon version. Not as old looking at people say. I've got an s4 now though. I want the phone but have to root to remove bloat and tether subscription check. Sony is generally quite free with unlocking boot loaders and such. Anyone know if big red made them lock it down?

I too want to know. I am thinking about buying this or waiting for the Droid Turbo I am a crack flasher! Need root at very minimum...
I just got the Z3v and can confirm that the bootloader is indeed not unlockable.
I just want to root it and install xposed. Thoughts?

That might be possible in a couple weeks / months
I may not even need root...
I'm trying to fnd a way to make a long volume press do next track/last track and use the camera button to pause/play music.
Anyone know of a non-root app that can do that?
Root happened on the Z2 with a LB. I'm sure it will with the Z3 and its variants, however the real issue is when the Z3 gets 5.0. Supposedly root on lollipop might be extremely difficult with a LB. http://www.xda-developers.com/android/android-l-lockdown/
I want to get this phone but no root can be a dealbreaker is anyone working on root currently?
Has anyone with the Z3v ever tried this:

why dont you try it YOURSELF ?
You can't even download the app.
Because I don't have a Z3V.
I found this website that claims it found a way to root the device AND install android 5. But it is one of those websites where you have to do a survey to download the files....
MOD EDIT Link removed, because as you say, you have to complete surveys to complete the download which breaks XDA RULES @gregbradley
Someone give it a try and see how it goes. It won't work on my Mac
Framaroot is a free program and it had its own section on Xda, just search for it.
I do not beleive it can root the z3vPlus, there is only sony devices on the whole of their supported device list and they are older phones released before the latest patch was installed on the Z3 series.
Also, as for installing lollipop, Rom manager has never supported xperia devices.
So no root yet?

No root for the Z3v and the current method to root other Z3 varients is unlikely to work for the Z3v as it needs information that can only be got from a rooted device. The current method has only worked becuase some people rooted by unlocking the bootloader (A method that always works) and gathering the required information to enable the tool to work on locked bootloaders.
Since the Z3v bootloader is not unlockable there is no way to get that information, hence no root.
Still nothing? I really love this phone, but the lack of root and cases is making me regret getting this phone. Support for it is almost non-existent.

tried the app and doesn't work for me anyone else care to try?
Verizon Xperia Z3v Root!
I was able to do this last night, and even though the post says I wonder about OTA will make me loose root.. well it didn't. But apparently I'm too new to post a link... hit me up in a private message if you need it.
Root achieved: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3100402
So from what I understand that srsroot is tool of work taken from other developers. So considering root was achieved, they could of put it in their tool and etc. From what I've read it does survive OTA although Lollipop is a whole new beast.

I bought a verizon galaxy s4 a few weeks ago and foolishly updated it. I now want to root it and i havent rooted anything in months but i wasnt to worried until i cant seem to find if you can root with version VRUFNK1. I found 1 thread where someone said they bricked there phone trying on this version. If it possible please let me know and what method to use.
you can actually root it safely only if you downgrade back to the VRUFNC5 bootloader , the use the vroot method.

I done some research and am very lost as to what to do. there are no clear instuructions on how to downgrade from vrufnk1 to vrufnc5 at all that I can find. can someone elaborate on this and give me a little more detailed instuctions and possibly links to the files ill need or websites where to find them. And is it possible to even downgrade without first being rooted? Sorry its been years since i have done this and it was way simpler on the kindle fire.
I have a buddy thats in the same boat, he's got a newer s4 and wants to rom it for his first time.
I am also in this predicament. I had a galaxy nexus that I would flash different roms to every week but I upgraded via Verizon to the S4 a few months ago -- bloatware is awful and is taking up over 7GB of my 16... Would love to get a jump on rooting, but I can't find anything on this build aside from this thread and another few posts that were also unanswered. Any help or direction would be great -- do y'all think there will have to be another way to root this build, or can downgrading be okay?
Same boat
I too am in the same boat, for some reason with i545vrufnk1, I can't root so want to downgrade the firmware to a firmware that allows me to root, tried all the various methods to root but for some reason I can't, think it might be the firmware or the knox software package.
I believe you could root with Towelroot.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using XDA Free mobile app
towel root won't work
I tried it with the latest official update and it won't work. I'm looking to root as well.
[How-To] Root I545VRUFNK1 4.4.2 (12-1-2014)
Look for this thread on xda search tab. It worked for me. Just follow closely.
I followed the downgrade instructions and got root back. Is it Verizon that makes it a pain in the ass? I don't know what I would do without this place and helpful people
