Is there anybody that had problems with whatsapp, viber notifications? As since i got my moto g i encounter delays in receving notifications with whatsapp when i'm on wifi or data connection and i dont't know how to solve this problem. I want to mention that wifi is set on "always on" when on stand-by.
Thanks

I have same problem too, even after a factory restore.
Have you solved?
I bought 2 of these phones one for a friend and one for my mum. After noticing several times while messaging my friend on whatsapp that only 1 tick would appear usually for between 30 seconds to a minute or 2, i suspected there could be some issue going on with the wifi. After testing my mothers phone I can confirm there is an intermittent problem where the phone doesn't receive a notification as soon as it's sent. There's a lag anywhere between 30 seconds and a couple of minutes.
I've tested back and forth with a bunch of other phones on the same network and they suffer no issues at all, always instant notifications. I've also messed with every possible setting in the advanced Wifi options, done restarts, tried different channel for my router etc, the lag is there at least 50% of the time.
I should point out this lag is only there when the phones screen is off and in sleep mode. Once the power button is pressed to wake all delayed messages are instantly received. I've also tested and get the same problem with hangouts so it's not a whatsapp issue. I also don't think it's a router issue as my other phones are perfect and my friend is in a different house with completely different router and has the exact thing happening.
Is this a known problem and if so is there any way to solve it? Is there an updated radio that can be downloaded and flashed to the phone without rooting, or do we just have to hope a future update will solve this small but annoying issue?
Thanks.
Is no one experiencing anything similar?
I had this problem since i got my first moto g. Now I have two with the same problem and a friend of mine aswell. All other notifications (email, tapatalk) are working great. I'm having problema only with mess apps like whatsapp, viber, line.

I'm hoping it's just a radio firmware problem as the messages are instant as long as the screen is on. I've not tested much on mobile data so it could be affecting both but right now I'm thinking it's a WiFi problem when then phone is sleeping (screen off). The messages always get through though eventually after a minute or two. It's almost like the phone only enables WiFi data for a few seconds every minute to check for notifications, like a battery saving feature. Whatever it is I don't like it, hopefully something that can be fixed in an update or by flashing a new radio.
Yeah, with Whatsapp on Wifi I have some lags when sending or receiving messages, but I see that is my wifi network, my neighbor's wifi can connect fast and I have no problems with Whatsapp and is fast using cellular data...
hello Guys,
i have a nexus 5 wit paranoid 4.3 beta 6 and franco kernel r50 and i would like to use my bluetooth headeset while driving but it seems pretty hard to make it working on android devices....
the first thing i would like to know if it's possible to call a contact using voice recogniction if you don't have internet connection. ( i'm in italy and my provider is h3g. h3g somethimes swithes to TIM and you can't connet to internet while in roaming mode ). I've downloaded the offline recogniction pack for the italian language but it seems it doesn't work so...does it work in english? or..is there another app that i can use to make calls?
the second thing is a known bug. if my deviced is locked i can't activate google search using my headset. I get a grey screen with the word "initialization..." and i have to manually unlock the device and activate google search to make a call. This is really annoying and i'm very surprised it hasn't been fixed yet by google...is there an xsposed module, app, fix for this issue?
thank you in advance,
Dario

speaker phone problem
I am now having the same problem. I can use the microphone for notes or other dictation, but it is inconsistent for the telephone speaker phone. I restarted the mate 7 and it worked for a short time and then stopped working. I recently encrypted the phone, but otherwise using the same apps except for adding WAZE.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it trying to route to BT instead?
What do you mean by BT?
Bluetooth.
The bluetooth was turned off so that wasn't the problem. Today, the speakerphone mic is working, at least for the moment. It is a bit frustrating. I emailed Huawei tech service, but in the past, there were not too helpful.

I have the same problem. Did you find a solution?

Unfortunately, no, I have not solved the problem. I find that if the speaker phone (microphone) is working, it may go off in mid-conversation. Yet, as someone else pointed out, the speaker phone (microphone) works perfectly with Whatsapp, dictation, and using it for other voice commands. It seems to be only related to telephone calls. The mate 7 is an MT7-L09, android 5.1.1. And, of course, Huawei doesn't even respond to customer service emails.
I finally received a message from Huawei tech service suggesting that it might be a bad sim card. However, it seems hard to believe that the microphone works well without the speakerphone and is intermittent while using the speakerphone. Does anyone else have any suggestions?
Has anyone tried a factory reset to see if it solves the speaker phone mic problem. It might be worth a try. Thanks.
I have the same problem . How can I solve it ?! :/
I wish I knew. Obviously, there are quite a few people who have developed this problem, but there is no real help here or with Huawei. I asked before if anyone tried a factory reset, but there was no reply.
Just remove the ok google option and then remove the google now... it will work ok after. I had the same issue andtjis fixed it. Hope this helps

I tried doing what OscarBaia suggested, but it didn't work. However, I am not sure if I did it correctly. I never used google now. How did you remove the ok google option and google now? Please be specific. Thanks.
Use Titanium backup and root and remove The google now aplication...

Thanks for the information, but I really don't want to root the phone. I've used Titanium Backup with another phone and it was great. I guess I will have to look for another solution.
Yes another solution, call Huawey and use warranty to replace phone

I'm facing the same issue. I disabled OK Google and uninstalled Google Launcher using Titanium Back but still no luck.
Any other way to uninstall Google Now?

I don't see Google now in titanium backup.
BTW, I tried factory reset too. No joy.
Hello, I have a few months old Redmi note 5 global version (not rooted) running the latest updates available but the microphone stopped working normally during normal calls and voice messages on whatsapp and telegram. If I turn on the speakerphone during calls it works perfectly. Without speakerphone it "kinda works" but you have to really shout near the mic.
I've tried resetting the phone without success. I don't what to do besides bringing the phone to a repair shop and have them keep it for like 3 weeks.
Can anyone help me?
Your phone is in warranty. Goto the mi service center. Why they keep your phone for so long for a miner issue!!

It's just that I wanted to try everything I could to not give my phone away to a repair center
Hello, I was also facing issues with microphone and headphone too. I fixed it by just clearing phone services cache. Please try the same and share result here.
