Possible Verizon Radio firmware dump? - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

I am in a situation, I have horrible reception in the same area that I have been for the past years and gotten great signal. I have opened a network ticket with Verizon, and am hoping I can get it resolved. I have a second Pixel that belongs to a family member that is also getting poor reception, so I believe it is an issue with Verizon.
My question is, would it be possible for someone with a Verizon bought Pixel to dump the radio firmware in a flashable zip?
While I realize this might not be the issue, I am ready to try, and also think it would be interesting to know whether there are any differences in the stock Google radio and the Verizon one.

You can download the full firmware package right from Google...

Best radio for T-Mobile users?

I've done some searching and have found other users who are using the phone with t-mobile but could not find any comparison of which might be the best radio version to use on this phone. I'm aware that the data speed is limited to edge, not really concerned about that.
Any T-Mobile users have experience with the various radios?

Radios are based on your region and where you are located. Radios are not going to give you that WOW factor my service is better. Your best bet is to call your carrier and see what radio shipped with the phone. Dont know if tmobile sells the inspire but you can call an at&t store and see what radio ships with it or even stop by a store fake the funk your shopping and look in about phone in one of their phones to see radio in it.
I never change radios on my phone no matter what the current rom Im using recommends. Tried it and got really shi**y service so now I stick with stock radio that came with phone.

[TMOBILE SIGNAL] signal rarely come back after lost connection

I wonder if anyone have use verizon htc one m8. On Tmobile. My phone keep disconnect very ez and signal wont automatic come back. Sometimes i see theres 1 bar of signal, but i cant make a call or send sms. I have to manually turn on and off Airplane mode to send sms or call.
I have try 3, 4 customs ROMS so far: GPE, VIPER( i choose Tmobile in setup carrier), STOCK ROM( cant send sms of mms or call while full signal) i wonder if anyone have same experience.
Wait, you're using a Verizon unit on TMobile? I'm surprised you can send an sms or make a call at all, given that vzw is CDMA and tmobile is GSM... I don't know how you'd even get that to work

HTC one m8 from verizon is unlocked version, it support most of carrier, that is wat i know.
I wonder if any dev can look into this problem .
Actually, I've been having the same problem on VZW.
I was just about to post about this, I've been having big issues on vzw. I've lost voice connectivity completely, only 4g works and even then it comes and goes. I've tried flashing firmware and radios, new roms, but nothing. I'm about to try a full ruu and see if that does anything, I suspect it's a Sim issue though.
Verizon M8 on Tmobile call end issue
I am having similar issues where every once in a while the call ends right after dialing. The phone is Verizon M8 rooted with Insertcoin ROM being used on tmobile. LTE and SMS works. I'm wondering if flashing just the new firmware 1.55.605.2 would help. I remember having similar issue on Tmobile S3, it was fixed after they release a new firmware.
I just want to make this topic jump to page 1.please help us if anyone know how to fix this.

I tried flashing ATT & Tmobile radio.img files, but the signal was totally gone. The phone is still flaky when LTE is on, currently switched it to CDMA/GSM to see if the call end issue resolves.

I tried many signal mode with thunderbolt lte ( search on google play) but no help. Im out of option now. I think the only way is that htc release a bug fix or new firmware.
same problem guy...no more 2/3G.
Where we can find full ruu ? I think only that can help

I hope they come up with a fix soon, I am thinking about getting a tmobile brand M8, the data speed gets really slow every now and then.
Y'all should jump on the ViperOne ROM 2.2.0. It is doing good for me. Still has some signal issue, but it is like 95% better now.
I have ARHD 8.1 and it's doing really good. I have to toggle airplane mode on and off. But then I stumbled on this, but haven't made any sense on it

Try a different radio. The .0222 radios were giving me problems and I switched back to the .0321 radios. Your mileage may vary

Am I the only one with awful reception?

I am on my 3rd S6 now in 3 weeks due to rubbish reception. Im lucky to have 1 bar (-113 db) of 4g signal in my town which has full 4g coverage. If I put the sim card into my G3 or M8 I instantly get full 4g coverage (approx -80 db). Now this is clearly a widespread issue as a quick search of google brings up people all over the world on EE, Vodafone, Virgin, AT&T and sprint to name a few. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue. Im convinced its an issue that can be sorted with a software update to the modem but then who knows lol.
I got G920i model and I am using it in Canada. For me, the network is constantly fluctuating and it is stuck at -99db =\. I thought it could be hardware, but it is widespread. I am gonna get Canadian Galaxy S6 version to test this. If that has same problem, then its all S6 variants.
I hope its software because I love this international model and it has AWS (B4) that works on my carrier!
I am on latest 5.0.2 BOF6 (June 20 build). Has this network reception problem fixed in 5.1.1???
No I updated the modem first on mine to the 5.1.1 modem and it made absolutely no difference. The updated the whole rom but again no difference. Im with you in hoping it can be sorted with a software tweak to the modem. Maybe by increasing the tx power of it. But its certainly widespread so just need samsung to take note and do something about it.
Hmm...might be an antennae hardware issue. Bring back your S6 to Samsung for warranty check...
This is my 3rd one now with the same problem. The odds of 3 handsets having the same fault are pretty big. Coupled to the fact there are hundreds of people with the same problem. I know that on the old s4 and a few other phones there were apps to actually increase the tx power of the on board radio. Im convinced its just a snag that can be sorted with a software tweak.

Possible to Extract 930A modem to flash to 930f?

Have some strange reception misses in Dallas, where AT&T reception is normally rock solid. Back in my HTC m7 days flashing the right radio made a world of difference on my tmobile version. Would flashing the 930A modem make a difference on my G930F ?

Unfortunately I don't have answer for you but a question, as I may be getting into a similar situation as you. The version you have is the international , as I see, where did you buy it? I know they're available on Ebay and now on Best buy so i was curious if the reception issue was across all model "F's" no matter the purchase location? Also do you find yourself missing text messages only to get a mass of them a few hours earlier (i had this issue with a international Z3 compact) ? I really dont want to have to get the Snapdragon variant with the lesser batt life and crap ass carrier bloat but if reception is an issue, I may be stuck.. I'm in San Antonio, TX by the way. Thanks in advance!

T-Mobile specific firmware?

As a T-Mobile subscriber, I'm wondering if I should install the T-Mobile specific firmware, as I am also a Pure Nexus user. Any one flash the T-Mobile specific firmware yet, is there a noticeable difference in cell performance? Or can anyone tell me if I'm going to jeopardize my ability to flash Pure Nexus when/if it's released for the June update?

I would always recommend flashing the factory image for your specific carrier. If PN chooses a different image, all you will have to do is flash the appropriate vendor image to match the one PN chooses. You will not have problems. Now the June bootloader is another story.
Thank you for the feedback. I'm installing the update now. I figure I can always roll-back with factory images if I can't install PN for some reason.
Wait there isn't a T-mobile specific firmware is there?
Edit. Just saw there is. Anyone know the difference? I switched carries from Verizon to T-Mobile 2 months ago. Still running NHG47K
I installed it last night. Not seeing any difference between this and the May update. Still have the same coverage issues and occasionally my office wifi kills my wifi calling. As of yet, it feels exactly the same. I haven't installed any of the other June updates though, so maybe it's just keeping BAU.
