[APP][ROOT] sRGB Enabler / Disabler for OnePlus 3 CM ROMs - OnePlus 3 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hello fellow XDA Members!
Here is my simple and clean app, which has the following features:
-Display the current status of sRGB mode.
-Enable or Disable sRGB with one click.
-Enable or Disable sRGB on Boot. ( No init.d kernel support needed )
***ATTENTION*** This application requires ROOT.
***ATTENTION*** This application will only work on CyangenMod based ROMs, which have the sRGB commits merged. Do NOT attempt to install on stock OxygenOS (why would you?), or ROMs without the sRGB commits.
Required Permissions are:
1. Read/Write to storage
2. Receive Boot Complete
3. Vibration
Note: I have not tried it with stock CM root, but I'm assuming it works. Only tested with SuperSU from chainfire.
Download link as well as screenshots are attached below.

Thank you so much for this app! Using sRGB is so much nicer.
Does anybody know if the "photography" color profile under Live Display is the same sRGB profile?

Awesome, I was looking for this . Thank you very much!

As i used sRGB for a long while since introduced in Oxygen, "photography" colour profile seems to be the same as sRGB in OOS, in my eyes anyways.

Cannot work on Sultan's CM13 ROM

I install sRGB Enabler, it will force close when launch it. Does anyone have this issue ?
I already give it the root permission.

Isn't sRGB mode implemented already in recent CM based ROMs, under Display settings? I remember something called "photography" mode, or something like that.
Apologize for not being more precise as I don't have the device right now.

FCs on Sultans CM.

AFAIK Sultan hasn't yet merged the sRGB patch in his rom. So this obviously can't work. I assume he will add sRGB soon.

Check this post out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68308281&postcount=289

Does the snapshot have the srgb commits merged?

[Alpha]Tech RootKit[Root][sRGB Switcher]

So after using CM14.1 and other ROMs based on it for days. One thing I felt missing was sRGB mode.
There were some ROMs which had sRGB mode forced in but some users wanted to switch it.
Hence I made a quick app to switch between sRGB modes therefore anyone can use it to their accordance.
This may not be the perfect app but it works.
I know there are some limitations such as it resets on reboot and app doesn't know if sRGB mode is enabled or not but soon I will fix it.
Also I will few features to it in future if needed.
This is just a temporary solution for current CM 14.1 ROMs till sRGB gets fixed.
Just tried this app on a recent CM 14.1 build and is working smooth.
Really need sRGB mode to enjoy my experience with OP3.
Thanks a lot!
I'm on latest RR from Eliminater (11 Dec). Even if rooted, the app doesn't work

Official rr work fine.
Tnx a lot to developer.
Works great! However, I have to re-toggle the switch after every reboot. Any chance you could share the sources so I could program it to run at boot?

I will use your sources and create a pull request for you once it's done!
EDIT: Done, check your pull requests
thanks for the app!
any chance of the update to run automatically after reboot?
It's on the GitHub page already, so you could manually build it if you Android Studio or any other build tool. I could provide you with an unsigned apk if you'd like..

[MOD] Enable or Disable DT2W in any rom

So I was flashing roms and stuff, but the only issues I had with custom roms is that there was no switch to disable dt2w. I personally use dt2w, as our mido has a massive battery life. But ofc, many don't like it. So here it is. Flashable zips to both enable and disable double tap to wake. Just flash in recovery over any rom. Do not flash over miui roms, as there is already a switch.
Ps. The kernel source is out now, so a switch for dt2w will be out soon. But till then, you can use this workaround

If you are rooted, you can run this command from a root terminal
Code:
echo "0" > /proc/touchpanel/enable_dt2w
You will need to do it on each reboot (eg, via an init.d script, or perhaps with something like Kernel Adiutor).
With or without root?
Hi, does this work without root? If so would you explain in detail how to do it?
I absolutely hate double tap to wake!
Also any tests with android 8.1?

i mean is there any different from the rom BETA 2?
and what abut laging? did you fix it?
Telephone works now, also timekeeping seems to work and not many lags faced yet.
Please try it on yourself, did not have much time to test every build because of my little family and work.
Every feedback is welcome!

snap is better because it uses newer drivers and open source (like the rom itself). and there is no point if you add sony camera because it is an AOSP rom, it meant to be pure android (except lineage tweaks)
Also @sgspluss , is this rom deodexed? if not, can you make it deodexed, it will make customisation easier

Afaik there will be no odex files, if there are one i will change it in next update. To be honest, did not check it.
Very nice to see new build But unfortunately I'll have time to play with it in this or next weekend :/
@sgspluss do you know why Magisk don't work on previous builds? M2 is no longer supported by Magisk or it's just fixable in the next builds?
after a test i notice these bugs:
1- laging so much after installing opera mini and es file Explorer.
2- over heating in charging bluged and using net for 10 minute.
3- in the screen setting / style/ auto day and night. itsnot working.
4- the lightbar not working even if i enable the light settings.

the lag is much more in your bulid..light bar was working in BEAT 2.
style day and night bug was present in BETA 2..
i was test ALPHA 4 before.every thing working of the bug i say before expact the light bar.and its the most smoth version.. its lagy.. but most smother than all
About problem with magisk, we are also unable to install the magisk manager will look into it whats the reason.
About lags and bugs its strange because i am using same sources, as you can read.
If Something not working logs are helpfull otherwise it takes more time to figure out whats wrong.
What you can do about lags, install supersu from lingeage 14.1 (currently the one from lineage 15.1 and magisk are broken), go into your build.prop, search ro.config.low_ram=true, remove this line and safe build.prop, now restart your phone and test if lags are better.

and here goes my report (very early report, i will add more information)
1-) without gapps, there is some frame dropping in animations and recent apps section (with or without android go mode) but it is same as beta 2, but a bit slower than 8.0 versions. i wonder is there a huge change under the hood between two versions
2-) no lag present in bootanimation, that's unexpected
3-) front camera video works
4-) dark mode works just fine
summary: our device can't handle gapps, that's what i see here. there are minimal frame droppings. also rom is odexed sadly
Just invest some minutes about the magisk problem, seems that we are not compatible yet or never was. But you can send the developer logs, he will look into it, it has nothing to do with rom, lucky me at this point.
About the .odex files that seems to be normal, also can be found on other devices, so there i can not do anything.
Also flashed Alpha4 doesnt be smoother its just uses more animations and some more graphic things related to not using go optimization, also takes more ram, because of not using go optimization so this will be preserved also in the future.

go optimization is better for our device for sure, but this recent apps lag holds me back. but without go and using microg, rom holds up pretty good actually.
As written bevor try to remove ro.config.low_ram=true from build.prop and tell me if this problems you faced will be fixed. All other go optimizations are not changeable manually.
If this will solve the problem, will remove it for future builds, thats fixed for all.

The Camera2api port for our device is buggy as hell not only that but the dual pixel technology libraries are f**** by OnePlus so to overcome that and get both portrait mode working and front camera hdr+
you must be rooted(or at least have a custom recovery)
for non root you can still use HDR+ only for the back camera with lots of dots!

FOR ANDROID 9 PIE OOS 9.0.6 and above

In my case, using the Lib Fix in the link, doesn't break the stock camera (didn't try any audio mod). But if I update the module from magisk (to the last version), that one is breaking the stock camera.
I am using blu spark kernel. What does it mean to set it to permissive and how do I do that? Any side effects (potentially unwanted) by doing that?

kernel is either enforcing or permissive
hence the name suggests
permissive 'permits' apps from overriding system policies
enforcing enforces system policies
so use permissive when you have an app that requires it only
It theoritically impacts security
specially if you don't know what apps to install or don't get them from a trusted source

[GCAM] [MOD] UltraCam v3.2.3 by UltraM8

Hey people,
While I use gcam mod usually by san1ty for pictures and open camera for video(I want to control bitrate and other options)
I just found this gcam mod from UltraM8. It's just like san1ty's but you can use the second back camera!
The only negative is that trying night mode crashes the app, I've send a message to the UltraM8's post and if it fixes that, you can give it a go
What do you think about this?
P.S. also this gcam version has some selection of bitrates for video recording

Man, you're a genius, that was it!
To everyone else using this camera mod, just set Selinux to permissive and the second camera works. I'm on Lineage OS 17.1.

Hi,
is there a way to change SELinux without root on Android 10?
Could you just explane it? I googeld it and didn't find a methode that works for me :-/
Thx anx cheers

the BSG mod is the one that will always work without any crashes on anything on our device.

I don't think it's a possibility without root unfortunately, I used a Magisk module for that :-/

Hey, how did you make it work? I'm using Urnyx05 latest gcam on LOS 17.1 2020-04-23 build with Camera2Api enabled plus SELinux permissive and it just keeps crashing when I switch to x2.
I'm seeing that LOS merged some changes for Camera2 on may, but builds newer than april are not out yet, did you build it yourself?
Thanks!

Sounded so promising, yet I get crashes when switching to telephoto. Might be an issue with Lineage OS 17.1 tho, or some specific config I need to tweak. I'll test out the rest of the features and let you know how it works, thanks for the suggestion

You just need to set SELinux to permissive. Install this Magisk module: https://github.com/evdenis/selinux_permissive
Telephoto now works by default on latest LOS 17.1 nightly
No need to change SELinux to be permissive or to install a magisk module to enable camera2api, just update to lineage-17.1-20200529-nightly-polaris-signed.zip, they merged some camera2api stuff and now Telephoto, or second camera, works.
I'm using Urnyx05 latest gcam, it works flawlessly, just don't try to use Slow-mo or stop astrophotography while it's taking a photo because it will crash. I tried UltraCam and it works too, but zooming crashes the app for me.
Worth a try using san1ty's and BSG's gcam too. Though I believe san1ty disabled aux/tele camera on their mod.
And use Google Photos instead of default gallery app to stop weird behaviour while using gcam.

I think you can do it with adb and the set enforce command. Look for that. But I think you have to enable it after every reboot again.
Or look for a twrp flash able zip which changes it
Edit: you can try this https://www.cyanogenmods.org/downloads/permissiver-v4-for-android-10/#
I think you have to flash it after every update
With TWRP you can
