i just bought the 16GB version and the moto g as you know has an excellent battery experience but when i opened it and just did some startup settings for like 10 minutes i noticed that the battery drains so fast! 2% every minute or something, is this thing normal? because it's its first use?
No it's definitely not normal. Maybe it requires a few recharging cycles to reach full potential. Or if problem persists, you can try factory reset.

okay i'm charging it now and will see
Mine is 8gb edition and the first uses, the battery charged veeeery slowly, very very slow, but after some full charges, I'd say 4 or 5, it became normal. Maybe it could be as you said, because of first use, give it some time and charges, I think it will get better.

Hi, think im about 2 weeks into my ownership of my N5, and over tha last few days ive noticed that the battery seems to drain far quicker now than previously. For example, my phone was 100% when I unplugged it at 8am this morning, and at 12: you can see the drain with very light use. I notice android is using a lot? Is this normal?
Any tips etc?
Thanks

I have a new "winner" in the battery drain category - this morning, I looked at mine & "Exchange Service" is now #2 on the list when I tap on the Battery.
Can I say, let's see what 4.4.3 is going to bring in terms of fixes & breaking more ...
Well, whatever it was, a factory reset resolved It! Been running sweet since i reset the old girl.
I've been having issues for a week now with Android Os/Kernel killing my battery. Just figured out in my case, it was having the "Enable Battery Stats" module in Xposed. Been running it for a few hours and everything but this Damn Audiomix wakelock seems good

Hi guys, I've just bought a Motorola moto g 16gb and then I've installed android 4.4.2 and I noticed that the battery stats doesn't show the battery usage of many user apps..
Is it a bug or not?

It does, but it won't show any user app that is less than (I think) 4% use. He's got a user app showing up on the list in his screenshot.
What has changed is that some user app use of core OS features now get reported as Android OS/Android System where as under JB they were reported as the originating app.

Hey @smoza I noticed in your screenshots you're using a battery percentage app. Did you know that KitKat already supports battery percentage? You can enable it with this app, without root https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.kroegerama.android4batpercent

OK, really need to know battery consumed, how much of that is reported to be the screen and the screen on time to see if that is an issue. It is normal for screen to be top of the list with regular usage but how much it drains (and how much screen on time you get) is basically going to be a function of your brightness settings.
Looking at your second screen shot I can see a couple of things you might want to investigate/change.
Wifi is always on - fine if you are actually connected to wifi - but if you are out and about and not using a wifi connection having wifi enabled will add a significant amount to your idle drain rate. You should also disable 'Scanning always available' in the Advanced Wifi Settings (Settings/Wifi/Menu Button.Advanced).
Your cell signal is often quite poor - not a lot you can do about it but that will cause faster drain when you are connected to mobile data.
Your phone is waking up regularly when not in use. There could be numerous causes for this, but most likely it is having location set to High Accuracy or Battery Saver - the phone is regularly collecting info from your cell tower connections and surrounding wifi networks to feed back to Google to get a location fix, and apps that like to know your location may be asking for a fix regularly. Depending on what you use location for you may wish to consider turning it off entirely or running in Device Only mode.
You've used GPS - some people have experienced an issue with a continually higher drain rate after using GPS - it's intermittent - for some it is everytime after using GPS, some most of the time, others very occasionally. A reboot will fix if this is an issue (it doesn't look like it is a problem but it's hard to tell - it's most obvious if the battery drains in airplane mode).
I turned off the GPS right now, disabled 'scanning always available' and set the brightness as auto.. I'll write here if this will increase my battery life or not, thank you anyway

You might want to keep it between 10 to 20% manually adjusting to higher levels if you're going outside, for the brightness sensor to not be working and therefore, consuming more battery.
From this morning at 10a.m. with 94% of battery I reached the 9p.m. with 7% of battery and I used it a bit more of my average use.. That's better than before (I had to charge my phone at 8p.m.), so thank you guys

Try a different wall charger or try charging it via a computer/laptop and see if it charges? May be a faulty charger?

If you aren't using your phone regularly then Android OS/SystemUI/phone idle will always be at the top of the list!
Since you're rooted, install BetterBatteryStats or Wakelock Detector and see which apps are preventing your device from sleeping... Also, Install greenify and hibernate all apps except the ones which you would like to get notifications from like whatsapp...

Seems normal... Even I have the same... You can't make out by looking at it... You need apps Like Wakelock Detector : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uzumapps.wakelockdetector
Follow these steps:
1. Open Wakelock Detector settings and put a tick on "Statistics Since unplug"
2. Charge your device for sometime.
3. As soon as you remove the device from charge, turn off the screen and don't use it for few hours.
After few hours, Turn on the screen and open wakelock detector and check "Wakeup Triggers", "Kernel Wakelock" and "CPU Wakelock" and see what's preventing the device from sleeping...
Now once you Greenify those applications, you ought to have a good battery life!

1) Use some battery saver or so .
2) If that doesnt work call flipkart or from wherever you have taken it and ask them to replace it

I get not so great battery on stock but Paranoid Android has given me the best battery life out of all the roms I've tried so far (Slim, CM, LiquidSmooth, etc)
So, my N5 recently started acting up now back when it had kitkat I never had this problem. So here is what I'm dealing with. My phone is charged 100% if the battery is at 60% and I try to take a picture the camera begins to act... All funny not taking pictures correctly as if the lens is taking too long to take the picture making the picture dark. Then the phone shuts off I turn it back on only to reveal my batter is at 1% and then later dies. Not sure if i have to replace the battery or what. This phone is was purchased on December 6th 2013 from Google.

I have the exact same problem. Has changing the battery worked? I am getting the same thing after I take a PIC or Play a game at when battery is at 90%. It just dies. Help out peeps.
So it appears that the issue has been fixed at first I thought it was the battery so I changed it that wasn't it. I then reflashed android 5.0.1 and still didn't worked I then disabled the camera app and downloaded one from the play store and the phone no longer shuts off while taking photos
